Dean and I walked through the hospital worried until we found Sam talking to the Sheriff.

'Hold on, Son' a local cop said Dean as we tried to walk towards Sam.

'Oh, we are with him. That's my brother. Hey, brother!' Dean shouted waving at Sam and the Sheriff as they turned to see Dean and I.

'Let them through' The sheriff said as Sam walked towards us. I hugged Sam tightly.

'Are you okay?' Dean asked

'Yeah' Sam said simply

'What the hell happened?' Dean asked

'Hook Man' Sam whispered

'You saw him?' I asked

'Damn right. Why didn't you torch the bones?' Sam asked annoyed

'Sam, we did' I said firmly

'You sure it's the spirit of Jacob Carnes?' Dean asked

'Sure as hell looked like him. That's not all. I don't think it's latching on to the reverend' Sam said

'Well yeah, the guy wouldn't send the Hook Man after himself' Dean said sarcastically

'I think it's latching on to Lori. Last night, she found out that her father is having an affair with a married woman' Sam explained

'So what?' Dean asked confused

'So she's upset about it' I explained rolling my eyes

'She's upset about the immorality of it. She told me she was raised to believe if you do something wrong, you get punished' Sam added

'Okay, so she conflicted. And the spirit of Carnes is latching on to her repressed emotions. Maybe he's doing the punishing for her?' Dean asked

'Right, Rich comes on too strong, Taylor tries to make her into a party girl, Dad has an affair' I said

'Remind me not to piss this girl off' Dean said simply

'But we burnt those bones. We buried them in salt. Why didn't that stop him?' Dean asked

'You guys must have missed something' Sam said

'No, we burned everything in that coffin' Dean said firmly

'The Hook…' I said suddenly

'The hook was the murder weapon. So in a way, it was a part of him' I added

'So like the bones, the hook is a source of his power' Dean said

'So if we find the hook…' Sam said

'We stop the Hook Man' Both Dean and Sam said at the same time.

'That is so cute' I mocked grinning

We left the hospital and went back to the library to search through the files once again

'Here's something, I think' Dean said after a few hours of studying.

'Logbook, Iowa State Penitentiary. "Carnes, Jacob. Personal effects disposition thereof"' Dean read

'Does it mention the hook?' I asked tiredly

'Yeah, maybe. "Upon execution, all earthly items shall be remanded to the Prisoner's House of Worship, St. Barnabus Church"' Dean read

'Isn't that where Lori's father preaches?' Sam asked

'Yeah' Dean said

'Where Lori lives?' I asked

'Maybe that's why he's been haunting reverends and reverends' daughters for the past 200 years' Dean commented

'Yeah but if the hook were there, don't you think someone might have seen it? I mean, a bloody-stained, silver-handled hook?' Sam asked

'Check the church records' Dean said simply as he got up and left to find them.

'Are you okay?' I asked Sam softly

'Yeah, Lori… she kissed me' Sam admitted

'Oh… look it's not wrong to want to kiss a girl…' I said softly but before Sam could reply Dean returned with the book.

'" St. Barnabus, donations, 1862. Received: silver-handled hook from state penitentiary. Reforged"' Sam read from the book

'They melted it down. Made it into something else' Sam explained sighing as Dean and I shared an annoyed look.

….

We pulled up outside Lori's house and Dean turned around to see me falling asleep in the back

'Kaylee' He said softly and I sat up straight.

'I'm awake!' I said quickly, earning a chuckle from Sam and Dean.

'We can't take any chances. Anything silver goes in the fire' Dean said as we got out of the car.

'I agree. So Lori's still at the hospital. We'll have to break in' Sam said

'All right. Take your pick' I said to Sam.

'I'll take the house' Sam said simply

'Okay, hey! Stay out of her underwear drawer' Dean added as I hit him up the side of the head before we walked to the church and started to make a fire.

'I got everything that even looked silver' Sam said carrying a pillowcase full of things down to us.

'Better safe than sorry' Dean said as he started chucking things into the fire. I paused when I heard someone upstairs.

'What's wrong?' Dean asked but I shushed them just as they heard the floorboards creaking.

'Move. Move' I said to them softly

We walked up stairs to find Lori sitting in the church, crying. I motioned for Sam to go talk to her as Dean and I went back to burning the items. I sat back and listened to the conversation Sam and Lori were having as Dean continued throwing things back into the fire.

'Lori' Sam said softly

'What are you doing here?' Lori cried

'What is it?' Sam asked worried

'I've been trying to understand what's been happening. Why? Now I know, so I'm praying for forgiveness' Lori said

'Forgiveness for what?' Sam asked

'Don't you see? I'm to blame for all this. I've read in the bible about avenging angels' Lori explained

'Trust me. This guys, he's no angel' Sam said

'I was so angry at my father. Part of me wanted him punished. And then he came and he punished him' Lori cried

'It's not your fault' Sam said firmly

'Yes, it is. I don't know how, but it is. I killed Rich. Taylor too. I nearly killed my father' Lori stated and I heard a blade scratching noise. I stood up straight, looking at Dean, who would never have been able to hear that noise.

'Lori' Sam tried to say

'I can see it now. They didn't deserve to be punished. I do' Lori said before I heard rattling. This time Sam heard it too because he stood up just as the candles blew out.

'Dean, get your gun' I said softly

'Why?' He asked confused

'Just do it' I snapped as I heard a door breaking and Sam yelling at Lori to run. Dean and I ran upstairs to see the Hook Man trying to cut Lori but Sam jumped in the way and he yelled in pain.

'Sam! Drop!' Dean yelled as he shot the Hook Man with a salt rock.

'I thought we got all the silver' Sam said to Dean and I

'So did I' Dean said

'Then why is she still here?' Sam yelled

'Well, obviously we missed something' Dean yelled back as I looked a terrified Lori to see a necklace.

'Sam' I said and he followed my gaze to the necklace.

'Lori, where did you get that chain?' Sam asked

'My father gave it to me' Lori said

'Where'd your dad get it?' Dean snapped

'He said it was a church heirloom. He gave it to me when I started school' Lori explained

'Is it silver?' I shouted

'Yes!' She yelled back and Sam yanked the chain off her neck. We heard a hook scratching into the cement and Dean and I turned our heads to see an invisible force scratching a line towards us.

'Sam!' Dean shouted and chucked me the gun as Sam chucked him the necklace. Dean ran off as I cocked the gun.

'Don't let the hook touch you, it's silver' Sam warned softly and I nodded.

I took shots at the invisible man, listening to his steps. Sam stood protectively in front of Lori as I was putting in more rock salt. I turned just as the Hook Man knocked the gun out of my hands. I looked back at Sam, who grabbed Lori and held her face into his chest, blocking her view as I turned back to the Hook Man, my claws and my fangs growing.

'Bring it' I said to him, knowing I couldn't do much against a spirit but I would try anything to protect Sam and Lori.

Just as Hook Man raised his hook to cut me, it melted, as the necklace melting in the fire. The Hook Man burst into flames. I turned back into human just as Dean ran back up.

'And you saw him too? The man with the hook' The Sheriff asked Dean and I the next day as the police arrived and an ambulance to stitch up Sam.

'Yes, I told you. We all saw him. We fought him off, and then he ran' Dean explained

'And that's all?' The Sheriff asked

'Yeah, that's all' I said firmly

'Listen, you and your brother…' The Sheriff started to say

'Oh, don't worry, We're leaving town' I said sighing as I pulled Dean away from the Sherriff and over to the car.

We watched as Lori talked to Sam and we jumped into the car. Sam walked over to us and jumped in the front seat.

'We could stay' Dean said simply and Sam shook his head. Dean looked at Lori in the side mirror before starting the car and driving off.

'Oh, Sam. Next time you get cut up, I'm stitching you up' I said grinning, causing Sam to laugh.

'Looking forward to it' Sam muttered
