Chapter 35

In Jade's suite, everyone was sitting on the couch. Jade was just sitting there with her head down and her fists clenched at her side. She wasn't happy but she wasn't about to cry. It was no time to cry, and she wouldn't show tears in front of anyone.

"Jade," Mark began. "I know you're upset, but if the Dark King said that man was innocent then we have to trust his judgment. We can't just accuse everyone who carries the mark of the Opposition. Even if one carries the mark, that doesn't mean that they played a part in this serious theft, and like that guy Daxton said, some of them could be laying low."

"That doesn't help," Jade replied.

"Jade, you are letting this whole thing take over your mind," Mamoru stated. "And that's something I say not as your bodyguard, but as your friend."

"Mamoru is right Yade," Paco stated. "There are other ways to take out your anger and frustration, believe me, I do it every time I wrestle. Blaming and accusing everyone who carries the mark of Opposition is not the way to go."

Jade looked at everyone with an expression of pure anger and frustration.

"Weeks, you guys," she confirmed. "Weeks have gone by and we still have no lead as to who the thief is. You all heard what Daxton said, he hasn't heard from anyone in the Opposition in over a year, he couldn't even tell us if the Opposition was behind it."

"Jade," Amber said. "I know this upsets you greatly, but for now all that we can do is continue to hope that we will find leads to who stole the soul and that they are captured."

"I don't know how much longer I can wait," Jade stated bitterly.

Jade grabbed her sword and headed toward the door.

"Jade what are you…?" Violet began.

"I'm going to take out my anger in the training room," Jade said cutting him off. "I'm asking as a friend to all of you that you don't come with me because I don't feel like dealing with anyone else right now. The only one who can come is Mamoru because it's part of his job."

Mamoru did not say a word, he merely followed her as she exited the room and shut the door behind her.

"Should we listen to her?" Paco questioned.

"Yeah," Violet replied. "She needs to time cool down on her own; plus I don't think it safe to deal with her wrath right now."

"Violet's right," Mark stated. "If she needs any of us, we'll just know somehow."

"Besides, Mamoru is with her," Amber added.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The J Team's room

The J Team had gone back to the room a few minutes after the whole fiasco in the throne room went down. They were still very confused about what happened.

"So the Opposition is behind this?" El Toro questioned.

"That man didn't exactly say that," Jackie replied. "He said that he hadn't been in contact with anyone else in the Opposition in over a year."

"I'm starting to wonder if they're ever going to find the culprit," Viper stated.

Suddenly the door opened and in walked Paco.

"Paco, I thought you were with Yade and her friends," El Toro said.

"I was," Paco stated. "Yade needed some time to herself though. She's in the training room with Mamoru. I suggest you leave her alone though, she's really pissed after what happened, and I honestly don't blame her."

"Yeah, this must be getting harder and harder for her every day that this continues," Viper stated.

"I still don't see why we can't try and talk to her though," Jackie stated.

"Jackie," Viper said placing her hand on his shoulder. "You heard what Paco said, Jade needs some time for herself."

Jackie let out a sigh of defeat.

"Poor Jade," he said.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The next day Jade and her friends her coming back from work.

"Today didn't feel as quite busy as the other days," Amber stated.

"Yeah, I felt like it kind of just dragged out," Violet stated.

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I think we should do something tonight," Dante stated.

"I agree," Mark stated. "What should we do though?"

"I don't know," Amber stated. "Any ideas Jade?"

Amber looked at Jade only to see that she was staring ahead at someone, an older looking man, with gray hair and

"Jade, what is it?" Mark asked.

"That's Lord Jiro," Jade stated.

"One of your father's old advisors turned Opposition member?" Dante questioned. "What is he doing here?"

"I don't know," Jade replied. "I think we should find out though."

"Jade, he doesn't even look like he's armed," Violet said.

"Yeah, it would be wrong to attack on unarmed citizen," Amber added.

Jade looked at her friends with a harsh and authoritative expression.

"Don't defy my word," Jade warned. "You guys may be my friends, but I'm also the princess and the future devil, so you have to do as I say whether you want to or not. Now come on."

Jade's friends had no choice but to listen to her; she wasn't wrong after all.

"Hey you," Jade said catching the attention of the elder man.

He turned around before being attacked and held down by the five reapers.

"What the hell do you think you brats are doing?" Lord Jiro questioned.

"You're coming with us Lord Jiro," Jade declared.

"Foolish Reapers, I haven't done anything," Lord Jiro replied.

"Yeah, we'll let the Devil decide that," Mark stated.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Jade and her friends dragged Lord Jiro into the throne room where the Devil was already waiting for them, having been informed by his guards what had happened.

"Well, well, well, I never thought that I would find you so close to my home after I dismissed you from your advisor position years ago Jiro," the Devil said looking at the elderly man.

"Whatever you or your Reapers are accusing me of I deny it," Lord Jiro declared.

"We'll see about that," Jade said.

"So you had nothing to do with the theft of Prince Zyon's soul?" The Dark King questioned.

"No," Lord Jiro replied. "His father may have been one of us, but I wouldn't think of stealing that little bastard's soul."

"Why you no good…" Jade began.

"Jade silence," the Devil ordered.

"Yeah, right, then why are you here, and why now?" Jade questioned.

"Have you ever heard of a vacation girl?" Lord Jiro asked. "I merely wanted to get away from my home for a while."

"Check him for weapons," the Devil ordered his guards.

So the guards checked Lord Jiro, seeing if he had any sort of weapon on his person.

"Nothing your majesty," one of the guards declared.

The Dark King stepped down from the throne and came face-to-face with Lord Jiro.

"I believe you're telling the truth Jiro," the Dark King declared. "Rest assure though, if I find out that the Opposition is behind this severe theft, you and all of the Opposition's members we'll pay greatly for your crimes."

The Devil returned to his throne and sat down on it.

"Release him," he told his guards.

Lord Jiro gave all the guards and the reapers a glare some guards escorted him out of the throne room and the palace.

"Are you just going to let every member of the Opposition who says they had nothing to do with it go?!" Jade asked once Jiro and the guards were out of sight.

"I cannot punish people until they are proven guilty Jade," the Devil declared. "I may be the King of Hell, but there are still rules I must uphold and follow in order to be fair."

"How do you suppose we find Zyon's soul then?" Jade continued. "How do we know that every member of the Opposition that we find isn't lying to us?!"

"Enough!" The Dark King bellowed. "Jade, come with me, we have to talk, now."

Jade's face held an expression of anger, but still she nodded to her father and followed him out of the throne room, leaving her friends behind.

"Is she gonna be in trouble?" Amber questioned.

"I have a feeling she very well might be," Violet replied.
