A/N: Fact Five: Throughout the progression of the story, I have received several reviews and PMs asking me if Louise can learn an Earthland magic. The thing is I could never think up of a magic that would complement her and that was before I received those suggestions. I made that up by making various versions of her explosion spells.

Chapter Thirty Six: Natsu vs Void

"Last time on Familiar Fairy. We arrived at the capital just in time and to stop Void from his plan. Natsu dove at him headfirst while being covered in fire and destroyed part of the balcony. I looked down below to see Henrietta there as well. I dropped and landed next to her. I was so glad to see her again and the same can be said for her. However we didn't have time to catch up. I looked over to the courtyard where Void was and in front of him was Natsu. All I have to say is…kick his ass Natsu!"

Louise P.O.V

Five minutes earlier.

Natsu continued to cheer as we rode on Sylphid. I admit this is rather nice. We'll arrive at the capital much sooner than I expected. "Yeah ha ha ha! This is so awesome!" I still question his logic about what transportation is.

"Hey Louise. Is that the capital up ahead?" Lucy asked me.

I looked ahead only see several stacks of smoke rising out of the city. Oh no. "That's it all right but I do not like what I'm seeing." It seems Soulless Void has already made their move. Then I saw something else. Several other different lights coming from the city. I smiled as I knew what they were. "I was right! The guild is here!"

Everyone else smiled. "Awesome. We'll save your world yet Louise."

I felt reassured by Natsu's words. We entered the city limits and saw the destruction. I hate to admit it but I can't tell if it's from Soulless Void or our own. While everyone was down there, I already know where I'm supposed to go. "Sylphid, take us to the castle." She cried in confirmation.

As we closed in on the castle, I noticed Lucy look down. "If it's all right with you, I'd like go down there and help. You two still have a beef with this Void guy."

She brought up a good point. "Do what you have to do Lucy."

Lucy smiled at me. "I'll take you down there Lucy."

I saw Happy pick Lucy up and flew her down. "Good luck you two!"

We continued to see her descend to the streets. We continued to fly to castle until we were over the courtyard. There we looked below to see Void and Erza on the balcony. I heard Natsu growl. "There's the bastard. I'm coming for you!" He jumped off Sylphid and covered himself in fire while screaming. He crashed into him and broke through the balcony. Of course he did that. Shortly after I saw Henrietta arrived along with her guard. Agnes I think her name was.

I petted Sylphid for the job she's done. "Thank you for the assistance. You can return back to the academy." She squawked at me and jumped off of her. I called out to me friend. "Henrietta!" She looked up at me and I landed quite easily next to her.

"Louise…" That was all she said to me. I wonder how she took my disappearance in the last four months.

I looked at her and she seemed fine. It looks Void didn't get to her just yet. I smiled at her. "It's great to see you again." I just wish it wasn't in these circumstances.

I could plainly see that she was very happy to see me. "Words cannot express the joy I'm feeling seeing you again. What happened to you?"

I looked down to see Void already up from Natsu's encounter. "I'm afraid we have to catch up later."

We saw Natsu rise out of the crater. I can tell Void wasn't ecstatic to see him. "So you came. I was wondering where you were among the chaos that's happening here."

I saw Natsu smiled at him. "Oh don't worry. I'm here now and this time I'm going to kick your ass you bastard."

I couldn't agree more. I just wish I had my chance to kick his ass too but he claimed it first. I saw Void look at me. "I'm also surprised you're still alive Valliere. I was sure you would've bleed out long before your guild was able to return you. Seeing all of this tells me I'm wrong."

I wanted to belt this guy already. "Yeah well too bad for you jackass! I'm still pissed at you for what you did to me!" I really wanted to teach him a lesson but as I've said before, Natsu claimed first. I can only hope I can have shot at him before he kicks his ass. And yes I realize I used foul language in front of the queen.

I saw Erza walk away from us. "Erza?"

She turned to me. "I'll handle the rest of the forces outside the castle. I believe you and Natsu can defeat him." I smiled at her and she took off into the air leaving us.

"My queen." I turned to see Agnes place her hand on her shoulder. "We should leave now as well."

Strangely enough Henrietta shook her head. "I cannot do that. I have a question for him." What question? What does she want to ask her? I saw her walk up to the railing of the balcony. "May I trouble you for your name?" Why does she want to know his name?!

I heard him chuckle. "I will grant that request. My name is Void. The master of the dark guild Soulless Void."

I'm still wondering why she would ask him his name. "Earlier you mentioned to me if I remember the Archduke of Albion. The fact about him is that he passed away. So I have a question for you. Are you perhaps, the lost son of the Archduke of Albion?" He's what?!

I turned to turn with a stoic look on his face. He began to laugh and then laughed like a madman. No he couldn't be. "How perceptive of you Queen Henrietta. I am indeed the bastard son of that man."

You got to be freaking kidding me! Agnes shared my reaction. He's…he's…I saw Natsu turn around to look at us. "Archduke of Baloney?"

I sighed. I really wanted to smack him for saying that. I growled at him. "Albion you freaking dumbass! He's the son! That means he and the Henrietta are…are family. They're related!"

That seemed to get it through his skull and he turned to Void again. I saw him smirk at Natsu. "It's true. Her father the previoss king was the older brother to my father. That makes us cousins and yes, I was going to kill her."

Now that made him angry. "Why would you do that? She's your family!"

"Please. The only family I had was my mother. His mistress and he discarded her like the trash she was. He never even knew I existed. I learned the truth when she was at her deathbed." I realized something about what he said.

"So that's it!" Everyone looked at me. "That's the real reason why you want to kill all nobles!"

He laughed at my assumption. "That is correct. You have no idea how much I hate this cursed noble blood coursing through my veins. It's a shame I can't kill the man himself but I'll settle for the queen." He's more out of his mind than I thought.

"Even if you say that, there is something I don't understand. If you are related to me, why do you look so much older? If I am right, we should be around the same age." That much is true. He's looks much older than her.

I saw him smile at her. "I spent most of my time in a world called Earthland. Time flowed differently in there than here. Even I can't tell how much time has passed in this one but I must say I was surprised your father passed away and you took up the crown." He did say to me he arrived in Earthland much earlier than I did.

"All right that's enough!" We all looked at Natsu. "I'm not going to let you get away with this."

I heard him chuckle. "Well if we are going to put up a show, we might as well have a grand audience for all to see." He raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The ground started to shake violently.

I looked around. "What's going on here?"

"I was saving this after I had destroyed the capital but this is a far better alternative!" What the hell does Void have planned? A very large pink portal appeared in the sky. What's he doing? Out of the portal was a very large square shaped lacrima that hovered over the capital. Hundreds of other lacrima were spilling out of it as well. "One of the things I love about Earthland was these lacrima. They're very useful and this is not the only one appearing." What did he mean by that?"

Third Person P.O.V

The ground began to shake violently in the Gallia. This attracted the attention of all the people. Moreover, it attracted the attention of Joseph De Gallia. He walked out of his chambers to outside to see what was happening. "Joseph." He turned to see his familiar Sheffield who looked worried. "It may be dangerous as to what's happening."

He didn't look worried. "Acquiring minds want to know and I am curious to know what is causing this." A bright pink light appeared in the sky and something large came out of the portal. It was unlike anything he and his familiar have seen before.

Sheffield looked at the object in wonder. "What is that?"

Joseph didn't know as well but it did interest him. "Perhaps this isn't a single event." He was correct. Similar objects of slightly smaller sizes appeared in the sky of Gallia for its entire people to see.

Over at the country of Romalia, the same event was happening over there as well. The people were in a panic saying that it was the end of the world. Out of the few who still kept peace of mind, Vittorio Serevare, the pope of Romalia witness the event. He observed what was happening. "Is this god's doing?"

"Is that what you think?" He turned to his familiar Julio who walked up to him. "Do you have any clue as to wonder what is happening?"

The pope shook his head. "Unfortunately I do not. Even this escapes me. However I do know that this is only the beginning." The two of them stared at the strange object in the sky with a sense of foreboding.

B

The same strange object everyone was witnessing was also over at the desert country of Nephthys. The elves that lived there were also terrified at what was going on. One of them, a young elf girl called Luctiana was mesmerized instead. "It's incredible…"

"Luctiana!" She turned to see her fiancé Ari running to her. "What are you doing? We need to get to safety now!"

He tried to grab her but the elf girl pulled away. "Safety? This is an incredible event happening here! I got find out more about it!"

Ari groaned. One of these days her research is going to get her killed. "It's bad enough you want to study humans but that?" He pointed at the object.

Luctiana blinked a few times. "Yes of course."

He was about to say something else to her but he was interrupted. "That's enough Ari."

The two saw an older looking elf man walking toward him. "Uncle Bidashal." Luctiana spoke.

He walked up to them. "There is a phenomenon occurring. One in the likes we have never seen before. It must here for a reason. This object here doesn't look like it is made to destroy but rather to display."

Ari raised an eyebrow. "Display what?"

The lacrima also appeared in smaller areas. One appeared over the mansion that belonged to the Valliere family. Duke De La Valliere saw the large object in the sky. He didn't know what it was but it somehow terrified him. His wife Karin, Duchesses De La Valliere slightly shared his feelings. "What in the world is that?"

The same one showed up at the academy. Again the students were at a panic. Some of them were saying that before all of this happened; the only thing he worried about was a potions test. Evolin looked at it. "What's a lacrima doing here?"

The lacrima glowed and the same was happening all over. An image came appeared on it. It was Void who was smiling. Everyone chattered about what was going on. "Greetings beings of Halkeginia!" Hearing his voice made Marolin raise her head and looked at Void's image. "Allow me to introduce myself! I am called Void. The master of the dark guild Soulless Void."

Joseph raised an eyebrow. "Void?"

"I am here for you to witness something that is beyond incredible! Beyond what you can imagine! Behold!" The image on the lacrimas changed to an image of Tristania damaged. "My forces are already at work bringing down the capital of Tristain. It fell easily to our might and the same will happen to yours."

More people began to talk. Louise's parents couldn't believe the destruction that was happening over at the capital. "A single man is capable of this strength?" The Duke asked.

"However there is a force in your world that is opposing me. They are in fact, your only glimmer of hope-"

"Are you going to keep on yammering?" Everyone heard a different voice.

The image changed to Natsu who looked mad. Again people were talking. Luctiana was ecstatic. "Oh wow! Look at him!"

Void chuckled. "I guess we can skip right to the main event."

Natsu glared at him. "That's fine by me. I've wanted to kick your ass five minutes ago."

The people began to talk. "He's going to fight that guy?"

"He's a commoner!"

"He doesn't stand a chance."

"Let the fool fight to his death."

Karin wasn't sure if he was brave or just insane. "What can a mere commoner do against a man like that?"

Void prepared himself. "Very well then. Have at thee Natsu Dragneel!"

Fire erupted in his hands. "You don't have to tell me twice!" He jumped into the air and headed right at Void. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"

Void's hands glowed. "Cerberus Claw!" His attack collided with Natsu's and explosion occurred.

Natsu's display of his fire magic shocked the people and elves. "His hands were on fire!"

"How can a commoner learn magic?!"

Luctiana had stars in her eyes. "Did you see that?! He did magic with his bare hands! Incredible!"

Her uncle studied him. "How interesting. Most humans would need a wand or staff to perform spells yet he was able to use fire magic with his bare hands."

Agnes had a different reaction to Natsu's fire. "He's a fire wizard?" Bad memories rushed into her.

Void came out of the smoke cloud and into the air. He put his arm in front of him. "Rain of the Damned!" A magic circle appeared and countless green lights shot out of it. They hit the area Natsu was in and multiple explosions occurred. Henrietta and Agnes had to shield themselves from the blast waves. The only who wasn't affected was Louise.

Void smiled at the sight. However that was cut short as Natsu quickly came out of the cloud of smoke with fire erupting from beneath his sandals. He quickly reached Void and was slightly higher than him. "Fire Dragon Talons!" Natsu kicked Void on the head and sent him back into the courtyard. He wasn't done yet. Fire lit up in both of his hands. "With a flame on the right hand and a flame on the left hand…" He combined the two flames into a large fireball. "When you combine the flames together..." Natsu threw the giant fireball where Void was. "Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!"

The fireball hit and exploded on contact. The people were speechless. They've never seen such powerful magic before. Karin herself couldn't believe what she was witnessing. "I don't understand. How can a commoner perform magic? Let alone fire magic of that power?" Her husband was equally surprised.

Natsu continued to look the courtyard below. He knew his opponent wasn't done yet. "Chains of Judaica!" Several chains of green light shot out from the smoke and latched onto Natsu. He was pulled down quickly from the air and crashed into the ground. The smoke blew away to reveal Void holing the other end of the chain. "You can't escape me Dragneel! You have nowhere to go!"

As Natsu stood up, he was surprised to him grin. "If I can't escape you then I'll just come straight at you!" Fire enveloped his body and jumped right toward Void. "Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!" He slammed into Void with the full force of his attack.

Joseph chuckled at what he saw. "How clever. Instead of finding a way of breaking that chain, he just went ahead and attacks him. This boy likes to think out of the box."

"I'm not sure if it was thinking. It was more like was instinct to him." Sheffield spoke.

Natsu continued to push Void with his attack. "I'm not done yet!" The fire vanished and he gripped Void tightly. Natsu grabbed his should with his other hand tightly. "Fire Dragon's Grip Strike!" A powerful fire blast emerged from him and struck Void at point blank range.

Void was sent over from the courtyard. His outfit was damaged from the attack. Natsu was putting up more a fight than he thought. He brought two of his fingers up. "Painful Vortex!" Green light surrounded Natsu and a vortex of light appeared that enveloped him. Void thought that his attack would keep Natsu at bay for short time. However that proved not to be true as he heard screaming coming from inside the vortex. Fire started to come out of it and soon it destroyed the vortex. Natsu still stood unharmed. "He broke through my attack?!"

Natsu launched himself at Void with fire coming out from his arms. "Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" The fire attack struck Void and he was sent into the air.

He straightened himself out. "Lucifer Screecher!" Void's breath attack was going straight at the fire dragon slayer.

Natsu was ready for it. "Fire Dragon's Roar!" His own breath attack collided with Void's. The two attacks canceled each other out and another explosion occurred.

Void landed back onto the ground. This fight was proving to be much more difficult than he thought. "Very impressive Dragneel. This was the fight I was hoping for. You truly are the pinnacle of what Earthland wizards can do."

Vittorio as well as everyone else wondered Void meant by that. "Earthland wizard?"

"However there is one thing you have forgotten about me." Void pointed out.

"Oh yeah? What's that?" Natsu's answer was Void disappearing and instantly struck in his mid-section.

The fire dragon slayer was sent flying but Void appeared once again and kicked him on the back this. "I possess the same magic as Valliere!"

Karin gasped in surprised. "Valliere?" She wondered if he was referring to her daughter.

Natsu tried to rebound but Void appeared in front of him and uppercut him into the air. He disappeared again and appeared right above Natsu to kick him back into the courtyard. Natsu was still trying to figure out how he was doing that. Void became more aggressive in his attacks. Natsu was being tossed around like a rag doll all around. With another kick to Natsu, he slid across the ground but quickly recovered. Void was enjoying this. "Confused Dragneel? Let me illiterate for you." He disappeared again but this time he saw the dirt around quickly rise up and fall down. It became clear to Natsu that Void was moving at very high speed. "I possess a void magic just like Valliere and thanks to my familiar power Lífþrasir the Heart of God, I can increase the power of my void magic!" He attacked Natsu at a random direction. He stopped moving around and stood across the fire dragon slayer. "However it comes with a price. By using Lífþrasir, it can shorten its user's life force. However I don't have worry about that. Thanks to my soul slayer magic, each time I devour a soul I gain their life force. I have eaten countless souls throughout my time in Earthland. So much, I can easily live up to over six hundred years!"

"S-Six hundred years?" Sheffield wasn't sure she heard that right.

Joseph chuckled. "How interesting. With that long of a lifespan, he doesn't have to worry about Lífþrasir's effects."

The pope thought differently. "How is it possible for a man to be both a void mage and a familiar?

"There is no chance for you to defeat me Dragneel!" Void disappeared again. He approached Natsu to the side this time. As soon as he came in close, Natsu backhanded him hard away and into the ground. Void quickly stood up as he surprised by that sudden action. He wasn't the only one. The people who were watching were also surprised. Natsu was being beaten down and all of sudden he just delivered a counterattack to his opponent. Void thought it was just dumb luck Natsu was able to get in a strike. He increased his magic power and disappeared. Multiple images of him appeared everywhere and surrounded Natsu.

Natsu just stood still. He had that anger look in his eye. "I don't care if you're some void familiar or whatever you are." The real Void appeared in front of him and tried to attack him. However Natsu punched him straight in the face. "You hurt Louise and to Fairy Tail, you're just another enemy for us to beat!" Void crashed through the ground.

What Natsu said grabbed the duchesses' attention. "Did he just say Louise?" What does he have to do with her daughter?

Void quickly stood up. This was quickly turning south for him. There was no way Natsu should be able to keep up with him. Void took a closer look at him. More closely, Natsu's soul. His eyes widened. "Impossible. His soul is becoming stronger. How can that be?!" Void's hands closed tight. "I will not stand for this!" He jumped into air with a green light coming out his hands. "Closing Hellgates!"

The two attacks were focused on Natsu. However he just jumped straight into the attack and through it. Natsu was up close now to Void. He pulled back his arm and punched the dark guild master back onto the ground. Natsu landed back on the ground and pulled back both his arms. Both of his arms ignited with fire burning with ferocity. "DRAGON SLAYER SECRET ARTS!" Fire fully enveloped him in the form of a bird. It screeched like one as well. "CRIMSON LOTUS: EXPLODING FLAME EDGE!" He spun his arms around and large powerful torrents of flames in a spiral formation were headed straight at Void. The attack completely enveloped Void while continuous explosions occurred. At the end of it, a large powerful explosion occurred.

Once it subsided, Void was seen laying the ground. Natsu sighed in relief. Everyone cheered. They had their doubts about him but he was able to defeat his opponent. Luctiana jumped for joy. "That was so amazing. What he did was far beyond anything I imagined."

Ari didn't share her enthusiasm. "That human. How can he be that strong?"

Bidashal wondered the same thing. "Incredible. He was able overcome his opponent. This child is truly something else."

Joseph was amused at what he saw. "For someone as young as him, he truly is unlike any other. Defeating a void mage is no small feat."

Julio shared similar feelings. "He's quite something isn't he?" He looked at the pope but Julio can tell something was on his mind. "Is something the matter?"

Vittorio continued to look at the lacrima. "Something isn't right."

The Duke and Karin were at a loss for words. "He is no ordinary boy."

His wife nodded in agreement. "Yes. It's hard to believe he possess magic that powerful. I can gather he is that equal to a square class." Still she wondered what he meant when Karin heard him say her daughter's name.

The students at the academy cheered. They were all glad that the main threat was defeated. Again Oswald couldn't believe what he saw. He was more powerful than the principal thought. Colbert was laughing. "Amazing. Simply amazing!" Now he wanted to know more about the world Natsu came from.

Eleanor didn't know what to say. She thought the boy was powerful before but after what she's seen, she wondered how Louise survived in their world. "Are all wizards from the world he's from that powerful?" However out of the people in the academy, two certain twin dragon slayers were missing.

Natsu took one last look at Void and started to walk away. "Where do you think you're going?" Natsu stopped and turned around to see Void slowly rise. His rising managed to surprise everyone that was watching. As Void rose, his clothing was completely destroyed. He was shirtless now and his pants were destroyed. The runes on his back were visible for all to see. He panted heavily. "I refuse to be defeated by you. I won't stop until I conquer this land!"

Fire lit up in Natsu's hands. "You still haven't had enough huh?"

Void laughed. "On the contrary, I have gotten my fill." Green light suddenly spiraled up underneath him. This time they let out eerily moans. "Be honored Dragneel. You are the first to make me use this form. Now I call out to all the souls, lend me your strength, your power unto me!" The spiral increased in volume. The light began to enter Void's body. Strong pulses emanated from him. He began to scream and his body started to grow. His body started to become larger, more muscular with a bright green light emitting from his skin. His skin started to turn as well. It started to form like the very muscle beneath it. Void's face started to look like skull with muscle tissue covering. Green fire started to come out of his eyes and flicker. Wind blew out from him. Natsu felt the sudden surge of Void's magic power. Void continued to grow until his body looked that of Elfman's body only slighter bigger than that. His hair burned up until the fire reached the skull and there it continued to burn. Void roared as he broke the spiral with is his thick arms. He let out a very raspy moan. He looked like a total monster to everyone. Natsu heard him laugh. "Prepare yourself Dragneel." Void spoke in a deep demonic voice. "The battle has only begun and you have already lost. Prepare to meet your fate!"
