Jill

She was crouched down in a field readying up her pistol. Same with Josh. Claire and Sheva were back at the hospital in New Dehli. The BSAA had been declared a terrorist group by the United States government and the U.N. disbanded them. The Family, having control of the media and the government had been able to convince the public that the BSAA had assisted the ALF in the terrorist attack on New York. A few more outbreaks had been set off n the midwest and without the BSAA there to do anything about it, just like the RCPD and the military had been left to deal with the consequences of the virus on their own.

The city of New York had largely been able to contain the outbreak and the military had killed a lot of B.O.W.'s but the ALF had gained momentum in the United States. They were battling governments all over the Americas abroad but the US government had done them the most damage but they were still around and all though the ALF had views of decolonization and revanchism which many disagreed with, many of them were allowed to become BSAA members themselves since the BSAA had pretty much become outlaws.

A lot of BSAA had taken what equip, ment they could with them as much gear and weapons as possible but they didn't have bases as much anymore and they didn't have vehicles that they could just request at their whim. They had managed to steal a few Genesis's for themselves but other than that they were underground. A lot of the BSAA HQ's that were closed down were now being used for facilities for the family.g

Sherry was there too. She'd had a son cause of Jake who had not been seen since 2013. She was behind at the hospital too. They had the coordinates of the Family facility. They'd wanted to find it before but they couldn't get anywhere near it before they had been on the run.

Jill had a handgun, a Beretta 8000 and fifteen round magazine for it. Josh had a Brownding BDM. "You sure you are up for this?" She nodded. "I've been up for this for three years. Let's move."

She was in her old gear the same kind she had worn the day of the mission at Spencer Estate. Her hair was back to its normal color again and they began to search the city. "Are you sure this man is trustworthy?" Asked Josh. "Yeah. He was a hero at the outbreak before. In India. I was there...Chris was there Claire got there later...it was cut pretty close cause Claire had to deal with some of the infected too."

Josh followed her. There seemed to be a lot of civilians where they were and you could hardly tell there was any presense of a facility run by the Family or formerly Neo Umbrella here. She spotted the BSAA agent who was dressed in civilian clothing. They had to be underground for the most part. Jill had worked with him before. Manjinder Patal. He had jet black hair and dark brown skin. He was about five foot eight. He had a handgun. "Jill is good to see you. You as well Agent Stone."

"You too. Is there more of you?" Manjindir nodded. "Yes but not that many of us. The government has been cracking down on the far East Branch. Not only here but in Russia and China. Our director was shot here."

"i'm sorry to hear that. That's what we're here to stop and we will. How is the infection looking around here?" Manjindir told her, "It is seemingly non existent ever since 2006 but that does not mean it could not happen here again."

He sighed with a reluctance to tell her anything but then added, "There are a new kind of B.O.W that have been released here. The l;ocals are very superstitious so sometimes police reports were not taken seriously but a lot of mysterious deaths have been happening here. Cannibalistic deaths. Not so different from the zombies you faced in Raccoon City but..."

He told her, "This was not like any regular zombie," Jill knew that all though he had not been in Raccoon he had been at the last outbreak in this place.

"But?" He led them through a back alley taking them off the main street. "They had slash wounds in some of the victims. A zombie alone could not inflict this kind of damage. They do not have claws. Yet the bite marks were consistent with human DNA."

"Could it have been a weapon? The Majini in Kijuju carried weapons and while the zombies in Raccoon City did not, the people of Tall Oaks did. So did a lot of the C virus zombies in China," Josh suggested. Manjindir shook his head. "I am afraid not, my friend. For one reason only. The wounds are consistent with claws and not knives or any other stabbing weapons. We will get the two of you better weapons for our mission."

Just then somebody contacted the Indian BSAA agent on his ear piece. "Yes? What is it?" Somebody was speaking rapidly to him in Hindi. He replied, "Kya aapako yakeen hai? ek hee tarah ka? Main aa raha hoon. mera intajaar karana!"

(Are you sure? The same kind? I am coming over. Wait for me!)

He turned to Jill and Josh and said, "We need to head over to Baajaar Street.A contact of mine said he has run into one of the things we think are behind this."

Jill followed him, Josh close behind. Manjindir led them into a building down another alley way and he opened a door. The room was dark but there was a large metallic case, in fact a few of them and they were full of weapons not put together but Jill and Josh knew how to put them together. "These are your weapons. I am sorry to have to leave you here but I must hurry. My partner is in danger. You know where the rendezvous point is. It will be a closed down restaurantg with a faded blue sign."

They saw a selection of weapons. Jill took an M4A1 Assault Rifle and a Benelli M4 shotgun. Josh selected an AK-12 and a Barrett M98B Sniper Rifle. They both kept their handguns ready as they made their ways across the street. They found Manjindir with another Indian man standing over a dead body. There was also a woman who was dressed shockingly westerm. She had jet black hair and wore a white shirt and blue jeans. "Jill, Josh, this is Manmeet Singh," He said referring to the man. "And Ajala Sharma."

"Nice to meet you," Said the woman shaking Jill's hand while Josh shook Manmeet's all though he looked to be an unfriendly fellow. He was a dark skinned man about the same shade as Manjindir but with a hair more of a 1980's style despite being much younger than Jill. He wore an ugly tannish beige sweater and brown pants and wire rimmed glasses. "Likewise," Stated Jill. "What do we have?"

"Deceased male, mid forties. Punjabi by the look of him. Weight a hundred seventy five pouds, height five foot eight," Stated Ajala. "Cause of death.. bite wound to the juggular. It seems like an animal bit him. But I do not recognize the fang marks. They are almost like a serpant but there are signs of a struggle and it looks as though he fought a human."

Manjindir asked, "Can we get him back to the lab?" She nodded. "We'd better run some tests there."

Luckoily they had an old police station they could use. They had some of their old equipment but not enough from before the BSAA was shut down. Soon, they were at the station as Ajala ran some tests. Jill felt frustration. On one hand, doing a routine DNA test like this reminded her of the old days in the RPD when things were a lot simpler but with Chris the way he was and the threat of the virus to spread globally being what it was, she felt anxious. She didn't want to be starting over somewhere new starting on another investigation.

Carlos

He watched as the city of Medellin burned from a hill top. He'd just participated in the battle for it. It was largely a stale mate between the ALF and the government. They had lost Puerto Rico so that was a lost battle. Frankly a lost campaign even. But they were a lot stronger in South America. A lot of the Criollo elite that lived in the larger cities were fleeing to Europe to escape the violence. Though they'd mostly tried to keep the violence strictly towards the government and the police, some ALF members had started shooting civilians.

Carlos had not, and he did not condone it but they were angry and they were talking it out on the upper class Colombians of European descent because for five hundred years and counting, they had made their lives a living hell. He was torn. He did not condone it but he certainly understood it. He had gone up to New York City as well. A lot of souls had perished up there but in the end the millitary was able to route most of the B.O.W.'s but what they were not able to do was restore it to social order. Civil unrest was spreading up and down the Eastern Seaboard and the ALF were spear heading it. After all, the United States had nuked Puerto Rico as well as Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

It loolked as though the countries of the world would be thrown into a world war and in fact it already was. The US was invading various countries all over the glove looking to blame those thy believed were involved in the US crisis. It seemed even war with China was iminent over the fact that the same virus that had been in Lanshiang had made it to NYC. So they sought to blame it on China even though they had nothing to do with it. He expected nukes would likely be exchanged between the US and the East and he just wanted to stay as far away from it as possible. He knew they had carnales and carnalas in the United States and that would be tragic if they were caught in the blast and so would it be if millions died in nuclear fire but it also would be in the Eastern hemisphere.

Then again, a lot of the ALF even in the United States from US born membership had been killed in battles for New York City as well as abroad as they had attacked military bases in other states. Most of the US membership it seemed had been killed or driven underground. Still, Carlos knew that there was not much he could do to stop a nuclear strike between the US and China if one was coming. He had to leave the United States after barely surviving the battle for the Caribbean. Some had escaped the nuclear strikes there a lot of the refugees had.

He turned to see a war torn ALF veterano who had been at the battles too. He was an older man, a man from Miami, Florida but he had known Pedro and Armando. He had been wounded during the evacuation of Oceana Aldea. His name was Hatuey Flores. After the martyr from Cuba. Initially his name had been Victor Flores but he had been going by a name change. Whether from an Elder or not, Carlos was not sure but after Oceana Aldea, Hatuey had won a battle against the United States in Ponce before the shit had gone down in San Juan despite his wounds, having gotten a surgery for his wounds. He had not rested as long as he should have.

He had two sons, one of which had been killed in the fighting in Oceana Aldea. He also had a daughter but she had lived in Cincinnati Ohio for several years as a doctor.

"You okay, Carlos?"

"I'm just thinking. About Raccoon City. About all of this. We just won a major battle...I didn't think taking this city was possible..."

Hatuey replied, "Nothing is impossible. Besides, this government has been parasitic for too long. Any system that allowed cartels to develop here, let the US get their hooks into us, and then on top of that let a man like Javier Hidalgo come into power deserves to be purged."

"Yeah...the society of snakes...I'm glad the culebras lost their heads even if I wasn't around to chop it off."

"You can't blame yourself for that. You survived that massacre because you were meant to."

"What about all those we lost in the Caribbean? It's gone...they nuked it all. The Bahamas, Barbados, it's all gone. That's your motherland. We're here in mine but you lost yours. And the US government is just as responsible as Umbrella ever was."

"I know but...this is our motherland too," He was referring to how all though the Taino people had lived in the Caribbean for over a thousand years, even they traced their roots back to Arawak in South America. "We've lost a lot. But we've gained a lot too. It's rough out here but I'm glad that there's no infected here. At least not yet," Stated Hatuey.

"But for how long? There was before under Javier...you know...I survived that massacre and the Americans killed him but..in my day he wasn't using B.O.W.'s. When he was killed he was. And yet I left and joined the UBCS..."

"You can't blame for yourself for that either. You didn't know. And you did the best you could to aid that cop right?" Carlos nodded. Jill...He hadn't thought of her in a while. He hadn't seen her since they left. He'd heard that Chris Redfield had died. Stabbed by a boy he had tried to help. The son of Albert Wesker. He had also learned that Albert Wesker was alive. And afterwards, the BSAA had been disbanded and many of its members had been arrested including O'Brian. Many had also been killed resisting UN soldiers as wel as regular military and police in each of the BSAA branch's continental divsions in each country they operated in.

In London, their largest base had been attacked by what had been suspected to be Neo Umbrella and a viral outbreak had started to spread through London. The city had been ruined by it and all though some members of the Royal Family escaped unscathed, somehow it seemed the queen had not. In England it was another story than the US. Their demonization of the BSAA was based on their inability to prevent the attack on the city by bioterrorists. When most of the world started banning the BSAA, the UK followed suit. Seventeen members had even been executed for treason to the crown.

It was a global problem and carlos knew that all though the virus had been mostly contained in New York it had still spread to other cities and states and all though they sent in troops to deal with it, they were not BSAA and all it took was for a few soldiers to be infected as well and that meant the military could also be. Though, the western hemisphere was in bad shape, the Eastern it seemed was worse now. The BSAA had been dealing with most of the fallout of the outbreak in China following the death of Simmons but with the BSAA disbanded, when they had all but solved it with only a few stragglers left in the two principal cities, as far as cariers, when left unchecked once the BSAA was tried by world court, the minority of infected that remained were able to infect others from the recovering populations in Lanshiang. What's more, many refugees had been evacuated to Hong Kong and Beijing which meant potential risk of infection in those cities as well.

Though everybody fundamentally agreed that if the BSAA was either responsible or neglected to do their duty to save the world from Bio Organic Weapons, still everybody blamed everybody else. Still, even with the threat of nuclear war as terrifying as that was, and the idea of World War III, Carlos also had to consider that all though the United States could start launching missiles at China and vice versa, there was just as likely of a chance of Wesker launching his own bombs unleashing the viral toxins in the air.

The real battle was on the other side of the world and with Chris gone, Jill was leading it. They had attacked various facilities that had been run by the Family but of course the family had tried to present them as CIA bases. Carlos knew what was really happening and yet he felt that he could do nothing over there. He had already done so much. He had fought the good fight in Raccoon just as much as Jill.

He looked at the Carribean man and finally replied, "Si...but it's still all connected. I left the fight in 98' but it was still going on and I fought these...abominations of nature...only for Hidalgo to pull this shit again and use it on his own people. I should have been there. Even if it would have meat helping the gringos. As long as I'd had a part in it. It should have been me. Not Leon Kennedy or Jack Krauser."

"We can't get wrapped up in who did what. At the end of the day the result is the same. We can't let ego get in the way."

"I know...but they didn't see their country destroyed. But I know its the past. I just wish I could have done things differently."

"Well I have something that may cheer you up...follow me..."

They walked through the streets of the war torn city and Carlos spotted women yelling at their kids, warning them to stay away from the fires, a man was passing out pamphlets condemning violence as whole, and he spotted ALF rebels with AK-47's and Colombian soldiers who had surrendered lined up against the walls. He heard automatic fire as he turned the corner knowing what was happening. He knew that a lot of those soldiers were just doing their jobs. In a way he had been them himself since technically he had been a merc too. He had been both a rebel in his life and a soldier but now he had come full circle. He felt bad that some of them had just been patriots or doing wha they thought was right. Not all of them were men or women who harmed people or intended to.

But in war, things like this were overlooked and at the end of the day with the ALF's beliefs and code, they were conspirators and unless they were willing to join the resistance, and stop being soldiers for the government, they had to be killed too. He led Carlos through a mini camp full of ALF warriors. Men and women were carrying ammo belts and some of them had children with them. Some, children of their own others, children who'd had nowhere else to go. This camp had been a military cap that had had been set up to counter the ALF resistance but had been overrun. He took him to the east side of the camp where there were still some soldiers who's bodies were being stripped for dog tags and information. "Here he is my brother. The face of a pirate."

He removed the bag over the head of a man in a gray suit. A middle aged Caucasian with grayish black hair and a graying beard squinted in the bright sunlight and heat. "Hola, señor De Soto! ¿Ha hecho la paz con su Dios todavía?" Asked the ALF leader.

(Hello, Mister De Soto! Have you made peace with your God yet?)

Francisco De Soto was the mayor of Medellin. He had been since 2013 and this was supposed to have been his last year. "¡No tienes que hacer esto! Usted ya ha tomado la ciudad! Lo que va a lograr una mayor asesinato?" Begged the mayor. (You do not have to do this! You have already taken the city! What will one more murder accomplish?)

Hatuey sneered. "No sea tímido o subestimar tienen muchos amigos en el gobierno y que eran un amigo cercano y personal de Javier Hidalgo. Que eres un poco. El tratamiento de los indios de este país como una mierda mientras ustedes perros de Castilla comer como reyes. Si se trata de uno de rodillas con un soldado o un policía sosteniendo las armas a la cabeza que no transporte no sufran merced. Así que no lo recibirá hoy tampoco."

(Do not be shy or underestimate have many friends in the government and you were a close and personal friend of Javier Hidalgo. You are a crook. Treating the Indians of this country like shit while you Castillian dogs eat like kings. If it was one of on our knees with a soldier or a policeman holding the guns to our heads we would not receive mercy. So you will not receive it today either.)

"Javier Hidalgo está muerto. Fue hace años. El pasado. He seguido adelante. Por lo que debería,"

(Javier Hidalgo is dead. It was years ago. The past. I have moved on. So should you.)

"También lo son sus guardaespaldas. No hay nadie aquí para proteger a usted más simplemente como si no hubiera nadie para proteger Javier de lo que tenía que venía hacia él."

(So are your bodyguards. There is nobody here to protect you anymore just like there was nobody to protect Javier from what he had coming to him.)

She approached the mayor and struck him hard in the face. His nose began to bleed. The man's lips had already been busted and he had several gashes on his face. "Es tan fácil para un hombre como usted para olvidarse del pasado, cuando el pasado y el presente era bueno para usted y todos nos quedamos con el pasado es antes de cerdos vino aquí. Comenzado la destrucción de nuestras selvas. Cuando la mierda con nuestros forrests jodes a sí mismos. Eso es lo que no entiende. Eso es lo que los estadounidenses no entienden. Mira nuestras caras. Yo y Carlos son los dos únicos supervivientes de la matanza de Mixcóatl 98'."

(It is so easy for a man like you to forget about the past when the past and the present was good for you and all we were left with is the past before you pigs came here. Started destroying our forests. When you fuck with our forrests you fuck yourselves. That is what you never understood. That is what the Americans do not understand. Look at our faces. Me and Carlos are the only two survivors of the Mixcoatl massacre of 98')

"Kill him, Carlos.," Stated an ALF warrior who he did not know the name of but apparently knew him. "¿Por qué se ha permitido que matan a tantos de nosotros? Se supone que debes ser hombres de la ley," Carlos demanded of teh mayor as he held a pistol to his face. (Why would you have allowed them to kill so many of us? You're supposed to be men of the law.)

"El hombre joven, no seas ingenuo! Yo podría haber sido un policía en el momento pero no podía controlar Javier Hidalgo. Era la ley. Este no es el de Estados Unidos. Tuvimos que hacer lo que dicen. Sólo pudimos detener a algunas personas. Él estaba por encima de la ley! Incluso si hubiera sido alcalde entonces no había nada que pudiera haber hecho!" The mayor cried.

(Young man, do not be naive! I may have been a policeman at the time but I could not control Javier Hidalgo. He was the law. This is not the United States. We had to do what they say. We could only arrest some people. He was above the law! Even if I had been mayor then there was nothing I could have done!)

Carlos gritted his teeth. "Así que es inocente? Eso no cambia nada. Incluso si usted no tiene nada que ver con lo sucedido, ni tampoco una gran cantidad de las personas masacradas en mi pueblo. Sólo algunos de nosotros eran militantes. Mis compañeros murieron, pero sí la carnicería entre nosotros no era nada en comparación con lo que la sociedad de serpientes hizo a Mixcóatl. Sólo un puñado escapó."

(So you are innocent? That doesn't change a thing. Even if you had nothing to do with what happened, neither did a lot of the people massacred in my village. Only some of us were militants. My comrades were killed, yes but the carnage among us was nothing compared to what the society of snakes did to Mixcoatl. Only a handful escaped. )

Carlos looked at the man's face as his face was filled with less fear and more contemplatilon as if he was considering what to say next. Carlos pulled the trigger and a neat red hole was punched into his forehead and brain matter erupted. He looked at the man's corpse as the blood poured from the wound. He didn't want to keep looking at him but he couldn't look away either.

He needed to walk away. He needed to be alone. As he walke off he climbed to a rooftop on a haciendo watching over the city. Just then, he got a call on his PDA. He'd kept one of them handy.

New Delhi

Claire

She sat at her brothers bed side. He was in a coma and was supposed to be dead but for some unexplained reason he wasn't. They were lucky toi have assumed identities at least while in this country and at least until they could get back at Wesker. He had been making a lot of appearances as Piers Nivans and had claimed that the BSAA being funded by Tricell, had been responsible for bioterrorism because in Kijuju there had been Tricell tents there. He was now rewriting history as he saw fit.

Rani was in a chair and with her, a little Caucasian boy with dark brown hair blue eyes and fair skin. He was two years old. "You're really good with him," Claire stated with a warm smile. The boy was her son. "Here give him to me..." She did. The boy did not stir. "Is it safe?" Asked the Indian woman. It was astonishing to Claire that Rani had grown up to be such a remarkable young woman now even though she had been raising her for years since Aunt's death, she remembered back when she was just a scared eight year old at an airport and now she was nineteen the same age Claire had been when she had first gotten mixed up in bioterrorism. She didn't want to admit it but she knew she, who had been the young one once was getting older now that she was in her mid thirties.

"It looks like it is for now but with Wesker on the run, nothing really is safe for long. But that's what you and I have been preparing for. I'll always have your back, Rani but you know how to handle yourself now."

Rani nodded revealing the 9mm she kept in her shirt. "We need to get you a holster for that," Claire observed. "This isn't America," Rani told her. "We can't carry guns as freely as over there."

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Claire opened it and her mouth dropped open. "Steve!" He breathed, "I'm sorry I've been gone for so long...I...can we talk?" Claire looked at Rani and said, "Can you go get us some coffee?" She nodded and left the room but took the child with her. As soon as she was out of sight Claire slapped him. "Who the hell do you think you are?! I thought you were dead! And when I found out you weren't i didn't know what was going on! I didn't even know if you really survived or if Umbrella took you back!"

"I'm sorry Claire...I should have conme back I know...I just...I was trying to find Wesker...I've been trying to track him down and I think i've got it narrowed down to where he is."

"You could have let me know you were alive!" He looked at her with sorrow in his eyes. "I'm sorry Claire...I didn't want to worry you...and I know the last time I saw you...I didn't mean for it to happen like that. I'm sorry for what happened to Chris too..."

"Yeah...Jake...he betrayed us..." She looked at him and then softened her gaze. She put a hand on his cheek. "I didn't mean to..." He shushed her."It's okay..." He pulled her close and they hugged. She tried to fight tears. "It's just been so hard...all my life he's been around and now...he' pretty much a vegetable. I always used to think if anybody ended up killing him it would be Wesker but I never thought it would be one of the good guys..."

"That's just it. He's not. If he was a good guy he wouldn't have done what he did. And you don't even know the half of it. He's been carrying out assassinations for Wesker. He is a Wesker. Thats what we have to see him as...no matter what choices he made and what good he might have done, all of that is over now. We cold have turned the tide against Wesker if your brother's headquarters was still around. He would have had access to whatever resources they did. Wesker would have had nowhere to turn to and this would all be over."

Claire sighed as she opened up a suitcase to reveal a Beretta, the same kind she'd had back at the island she met Steve. "Sherry won't be too happy about 's heartbroken about it. She still hasn't been able to fully process everything that happened. On top of that...they have a child too..."

Steve nodded. "I know...but she has to know what has to be done. If he's on the side of his father he never even met up until three years ago then he's against us. And mankind. I have the virus in me...it's the only reason I'm not dead. I should be medically dead as much as I hate to say it. But I'm not. And while I'm here I can use my power for good. He has his own abilities and he's using them for evil."

"Yeah but you were Grim and we gave you a chance I knew that wasn't really you."

"You're right but I was under Wesker's control. I had no say. He didn';t even need a p30 device to turn Jake against us. He just told him a few words which may or may not even be true and he went on his side. Once a mercenary always a mercenary. And remember, I didn't let who my father was stop me from saving you. I know how much family means but there's right and there's wrong. I know what side I'm choosing and I know where you stand and Jake is on the other side of that line."

Claire told him frankly , "Sherry won't like it. And even if I do agree with what you say, Sherry's opinion can't be dismissed. He's the father of her child..."

"Yeah and Wesker was Jake's father and look how he turned out. I'm not saying that's what's gonna happen to William and Annette but being a parent doesn't excuse you from it. Listen...I've tracked Wesker...I think he is in the USA but I got wind of the fact that he might be on his way to London. I don't know for sure. If that's true I have to be there to stop him."

Claire smiled softly hoping to lighten the subject saying, "Speaking of which. I want you to meet somebody," Rani returned and and had both coffee and the boy who had awoken from his nap. "Steve...this is your son...his name is Robert...after your father..."

Steve's gaze was filled both with a soft bewilderment at the boy as well as outright shock and disbelief. "Mommy...who's this?" The little boy finally asked. "That's your daddy..."

Steve looked at Claire and asked. "I see it but...how...?" She smiled. "On the roof top remember?"

Just then, there was a rumble and they heard screams as the building shook. The boy started crying in fear and Steve cursed, "Shit! They're coming Claire...I heard there was a bioterrorist attack due in town any day I was going to tell you..."

Rani's dark eyes widened with alarm. "Who is responsible?" Steve stated, "I don't know. Neo Umbrella I think...Alexia and Alfred...they were brought back somehow...that's what I've been finding out there's a lot going on. Somehow Wesker brought Alexia back. Claire you already knew that but she brought Alfred back too and so now with wesker as the head of the Family they're leading Neo Umbrella. He's been in the western hemisphere while they're here. They were supposed to be in England I thought...they might still be but this is possibly their doing."

"Or just another senseless biotterrorist attack.." Rani suggested. They heard more screams followed by gunshots in the hallway. "It's not safe here! We have to go!" Claire told him, "I have our son here! And Chris we can't just leave him here!" Steve let out a frustrated sigh as the building shook again. "We're going to have to roll him out of here."

"Are you insane? He's on life support! He's just barely holding on as it is!" Claire cried. Steve told her, "We can try and move his machine..."

They heard the sound of automatic rifles being fired elsewhere in the building. "We have to go, now!"

"We can't!" Steve, frustrated grabbed a syringe and stuck himself with it and he drew blood. He then went forth to inject it into Chris. "What are you doing?! Stop that!" Claire screamed. Steve removed Chris's IV and the oxygen mask. "He's going to have to learn to breathe on his own or he has to die here. You're the mother of my child and that's my son. If Chris dies then he has to die but we can't stay here."

Rani checked his pulse and breathing. "He's breathing on his own! He has a strong heartbeat too but he's still unconscious..."

They moved him onto a stretcher and began to wheel him down the hall. Steve took the little boy and said, "We're gonna go for a little piggyback ride, okay?" He put him on his back and told him, "Just hang on really tight..." He then looked at Claire and aid, "I can keep him alive with just my bare hands better than you can with a gun. I understand if you're mad at me for not coming back I tried to keep that promise and I swear I'll never do it again but there's more at risk than you and me. We have to work little boy was afraid and he looked to Claire who gave the boy a reassuring smile. "It's okay sweetie. You can trust him. Just do as he says."

Rani readied her handgun and said, "We'll keep you covered you and Chris," Though she was pushing him down the hall, Claire kept her handgun in her other hand in case she would have to fight too. They made it into the hallway where the lights had gone out and they saw patients screaming and running as hordes of infected made their way in. "Do you think what you did worked?" Claire asked Steve. "It must have...I didn't say anything before but I think Jill is the reason he's still alive. Some of the Terra Save doctors took a blood sample from him with Jill and Sheva's permission and they found traces of the virus in him. There's only two people I know of that have it who would think to do that and I wasn't the one who did it..."

As they made their way down the hall Claire said, "We have to get to Leon...he'll know what to do...him and Ada must have a plan...Sheva should be here too..."

"We have to find Jill too.. she'll want to know about this..." Steve observed. They went through some double doors as they wheeled Chris down the hallway. They spotted several zombies coming towards them. Rani told them, "Leave them to me..."

Claire gave Robert some ear plugs to cover from the noise. Rani drew down on the approaching C virus zombies and took a deep breath. "Here goes..."

That's all for this chapter sorry for the wait and I know that this isn't as long as it should be but just know I didn't abandon the story. I just have been working on other ones as well as a script I'm writing. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this. So now you know not only did Claire have a son which she named after her father but Sherry who we have yet to see in the time skip has had twins and named them after her deceased parents. As for the Spanish in Carlos's pov again i' n sorry if it's not proper Spanish i know some Mexican Spanish just enough to get by but I don't know how to say every little thing so you're just gonna have to forgive me but as always it is just a European language to me so if i speak that improperly it doesn't matter to me. specially when there's not much else I can do about it. I'm thinking as far as Carlos's storyline, I was initially going to have him go to India to assist Jill but what if he has his own outbreak to deal with in the Western Hemisphere? And what if it stands as it is on its own?

I mean RE 6 wrestled with the concept of each of the different characters being in different areas for different parts of the game but they all ended up in China so what if instead of doing that while Carlos was in the same place as our heroes earlier, he ends up someplace different, IE Colombia?

In any case, though Jill is trying to stay busy the source of those attacks are a new kind of B.O.W. and I haven't decided if they too should just be newer more menacing creatures equal to the Licker or Hunter kind of how i have made the Wendigo (Ojibwe) the chupacabra (Mexican) or the Ateneniáhrhon (Mohawk) creatures that are cultural monsters I have made into actual B.O.W.'s but now I am not sure if I should also make them into a newer specific kind of zombie or mainline carrier for the virus in India since the demon i had in mind is a flesh eater so to speak kind of like the Wendigo or at least it eats some aspect of the human i should say and probably in my other story A World Without Fear these creatures will appear too I'm not sure how but they will why waste a good thing?

So it seems Steve has bought Chris some time. Will it be enough to wake him up? And is Steve being too harsh in his judgement of Jake for what he did or is he exactly right?

And as for Rani Chawlwa in RE Degeneration yes, that cute eight year old would now be 19 years old the same age Claire was in 1998. Do you feel old yet? I'm only 24 and I do. As for where Billy, Rebecca, Sheva, Leon, Ada and even others who have had less time in this story such as Jessica are, that will be answered in the next chapter.

Hopefully till then this tides you over. And all though you are a long way from catching up special thanks to Zilla 200 for the support. Everyone else check out his story Cry Havoc dealing with an outbreak in Hawaii. A place nobody wants to see infected. I mean nobody wants any place infected but you have to admit people would care a lot less if say, one of the last glamorous pats of the country got infected. I mean people wouldn't want Hawaii, California, New York, Florida, to get infected but a place like Utah, Mississippi or even Washington nahh nobody really cares. Some states are just boring lol.

Anyway, Skennen for now.

Stay tuned.
