This is an experiment in Hogwarts/Once Upon a Time crossovers, in which Emma Charming is a muggle-born witch, who has grown up with her best friend, Killian Jones. This story is a composition of letters between Emma and Killian, along with a few others in between, detailing the events of Emma's first year at Hogwarts. 1 March 1972

Emma-

I can't believe you went to Mr. Dumbledore..

I'm perfect fine, you don't need to worry so much..

Hi. I'm sorry that I haven't been writing. You haven't done anything wrong, it's just that I've been really, really busy lately and haven't had a lot of time to write.

Listen. I can't lie to you, but I don't want to tell you what's happened. The reason I couldn't see you at Christmas was because I wasn't in town. I don't live there anymore. I'm sorry. I really am.

Please, keep writing to me. I promise I'll send you notes and let you know that I'm alright. I won't go missing again. At least, I won't do it intentionally. We can even make a game of you guessing where I am! Would you like that?

I really am sorry, Em. This is just an adventure I'm not willing to share yet.

I hope school is still going well. I miss you, mate.
