Chapter 35

Bella's POV

"Give me a minute okay?" I asked standing from my spot.

"Okay sweetheart," she said.

I walked over to the babies' room, and knocked on the door.

"Edward let me in," I said.

The door unlocked and someone grabbed my arm, dragging me in the room before locking it again.

I saw a crying baby, and a distressed Angie. I grabbed my daughter from her hands and she put her head in her hands. Aurora instantly stopped crying, and it was only a whimper when I held her.

"I don't get those two at all," Angie whispered stomping her foot.

"I want to tell my mom," I said.

I kicked the door, knowing there was a small girl snooping on the other side.

"Okay," Edward said brushing away Charlotte's hair from her face.

Her full set of hair at three weeks old was fascinating to me. It was odd when her twin sister didn't have much hair at all.

"Bella? Are you okay in there?" my mother asked.

"Just fine! I'll be out in a minute Mom," I said.

I looked over to my boyfriend, scared of what would come of this. Would she tell my dad of Edward having sex with a minor?

Angela took Aurora from me, and I pulled at my hair, while I had no idea how my mother would react to my daughter's….Edward and I's daughters.

I opened the door to the room, and had it wide open.

"Bella?" my mom asked.

"Mom can you come here?" I asked quietly.

She stood from her spot on the couch and walked over slowly. When she got to the door, she was so confused.

"Hi Sue! I'm the one who was on the phone the other day. I'm sorry I dropped the call. I was shocked and the phone's battery came out," Angie said holding out her hand.

Angela must have put Aurora in her crib, or Edward had her.

"And you are?" my mother asked.

"My name is Angela. I went to school with Bella back in Chicago," she said.

"Now you live in Seattle," she said.

"Yes. My mother lives here," she said.

My mother looked over at me, worried. I just laughed.

"Okay mom. I have two people I want you to meet," I said.

"Two more people?" she asked.

"Yes," I said.

I walked into the room farther, leaving the door wide open for her to come in.

"Mom I got pregnant and that's why I left. I would have come home until Edward and I figured out we were having twins. I know you might be mad because I was pregnant at seventeen….." I said.

Her eyes traveled all around the room. The pink room.

"You got pregnant," she repeated.

"Yes," I said.

I admit it, I was a mother and she was a grandmother.

"You had twins," she said.

"Yes," I said.

My answers were so short, and I knew she would want longer answers soon enough.

"You mean to tell me that I'm a grandmother," she said.

"Yes," I said.

Her eyes flashed to mine.

"Why didn't you just tell us?" she asked.

"I...I was scared," I said.

"Of what? We wouldn't accept that you were going to be a mother?" she asked.

"Of who the father of my children was," I said.

"We would have been mad Isabella, that you were with someone who you weren't supposed to be with but….we would have easily supported you two. You didn't have to run off to Washington," she said.

"I'm sorry Mom," I said.

"Now where are my grandchildren?" she asked.

She was excited, she may be a tad mad at me for not telling her the truth, but she was excited to see her grandchildren.

I walked her over to Aurora's crib, and looked down to see her laying there staring up at us.

"She looks like Leah did as a baby," my mother said.

"Don't all babies look the same?" I asked.

"Not exactly," Mom said.

She was smiling.

"What is her name?" she asked.

"Aurora Lee. Named after Leah," I said.

My mother didn't hesitate to pull me into a hug.

"I'm sorry I kept my life from you Mom," I said.

I was sorry, and I was ready for the family to know everything.

"You said you had twins," she said.

"Oh yes," I said.

I pulled away from her hug, walked over to Edward, and he still held Charlotte.

"We were supposed to have a boy, that is what the doctor told us but when the twins were born, we got the surprise of our lives," I said.

"You had two daughters," she said.

"Yes. Yes we did," I said.

My mother saw Charlotte, and was instantly amazed on how much she looked like Edward. Apparently she looked absolutely nothing like me.

"Charlotte Grace," I said.

"That's a beautiful name for a beautiful baby," she said.

I grinned, my mother was happy to know of what happened, and why I left when I did. She wasn't very happy with how I kept it from her, and she would have been there for us, but we couldn't change that now.

"Will you come home?" she asked.

"Mom…." I said.

"I know it may not be a good idea with your boyfriend. He has to have a home there for you three doesn't him?" she asked.

"I have a small apartment in Chicago, yes Sue," Edward said.

"But this one is bigger," she said.

"Much," he said.

"Your father wants me to bring you home," she said.

"Where is he?" I asked.

"He's home in Chicago. He wanted to come but he wanted me to come instead so I could possibly convince you to come home," she said.

He wanted me home.

"But I can't possibly take you from your home in Seattle," mom said.

"Mom…." I said.

"Your home is here now, you've made something here. I can't possibly take you from somewhere you call home," she said closing her eyes.

I knew what my mom was saying. She wanted me to stay in Seattle and raise my family here, because this is some place I called home. This had been my home for months.

"I want you to stay in your home Bella. But…" she said.

"But?" I asked.

"Thanksgiving is a week away. I want you, the twins, and Edward to come to Chicago with me for Thanksgiving," she said.

I looked over at Edward, I knew we didn't have the time or the money to go back to Chicago for a week.

"Charlie and I will pay for everything," mom said.

"I can't let you do that Mom," I said.

"I want to do this Bella. We can't lose you again," she said.

Edward looked over to me, I knew he felt like this was the best idea in the world.

"I'll call Charlie and say we are coming home. I won't make you go on a plain with these babies, they don't need to be disturbing everyone. We can drive home…." She said.

"Or we could drive separately. Bella and I know how to get back to Chicago," Edward said.

That we did.

"We can do that too. I just….I want you home for at least a little bit Bella," she said.

"I know mom," I said.

Are you shocked on how Bella gave in so easy, to her mother about going back to Chicago for the holiday? Next chapter, is only half written so far, but it will have a lot of trouble!

Until next time... ;)
