Experimentation Can Be Romantic

Disclaimer: I don't own Ouran or any of it's characters in this case. I do own this plot however.

Hikaru stepped out of his room nearly a full week later. He looked no different than he had since he locked himself in the room. His eyes appeared cold and sleepless, but that would have been the only change in his appearance.

"Hikaru!" he heard from behind him in a voice similar to his own.

He turned, "Kaoru, hey!"

Kaoru hugged his brother tightly, "Are you done being a crabby?"

Hikaru chuckled and hugged him back, "I guess. But I've decided to let you have Haruhi, Kaoru."

Kaoru pulled back and gripped his shoulders, looking at his brother's golden green eyes. "What?"

"You can have her. It's foolish for us to try and share her and you are clearly a better person for her. So I'm going to let you have her because I love you Kaoru, I want you happy and she makes you happy."

Kaoru couldn't help but smile, "Thank you, Hikaru… But I can't take this opportunity away from you.. You need to open up to someone and be nicer."

"It's fine Kaoru. I promise. Go be happy."

"Thanks Hika…" was all the younger twin murmured, looking down at their feet.

"Where is Haruhi?" Hikaru asked after a few minutes passed.

"Oh, she went home," his brother replied.

"When?"

"About a day or two ago," Kaoru shrugged. "She said goodbye to you, you must not have been listening."

Hikaru nodded, "Oh."

"Yeah, we'll see her again soon, don't worry," he laughed and started walking off to their video game room, "Wanna go play some MarioKart?"

Hikaru nodded, "Sure, I'd love to kick your ass."

Kaoru laughed, "Whatever, that's only because you cheat."

The older twin stuck out his tongue and ran passed Kaoru to the video game room.

"I'm already winning," he grinned before ducking into the room and setting up the game.

The two played MarioKart then for the rest of the day until the two fell asleep together in their matching bean bag chairs in front of the large tv.

Yesss. It's been awhile and thank you to anyone who's stuck around and waited for this chapter. It also is a slower chapter but I wanted to move things along and get rolling again so I hope you don't mind the chapter being like this. So I'll try and get the next one out soon! :3
