Prompt: Samson - "You were drunk when you came into my room." - 'The Deep'
Kurt was at the stove making pancakes when Rachel staggered from her room and into the kitchen area of the apartment they shared. One look at her and the 'good morning' he was about to say, froze on his lips.
"Want some coffee?" Kurt asked instead, taking the pancake that was done out of the pan and putting it on a plate with several others.
"Please," Rachel replied, sounding as bad as she looked.
As the brunette sunk into a chair at the table, Kurt moved the pan off the burner and moved to get his roommate some coffee. Grabbing a mug from the cabinet, he poured some of the freshly brewed hot beverage into it.
"Cream and sugar, right?" Kurt asked, turning toward the fridge.
"Not this morning," Rachel mumbled.
Surprised by the answer, Kurt headed to the table with the mug of coffee. "I had a feeling you wouldn't be feeling too great this morning, after the . . ." Kurt paused as he tried to come up with the phrase he wanted to use. "Let's say, after the incident in my room early this morning."
"Oh no," Rachel moaned. "You mean that wasn't just a bad dream."
"Afraid not, sweetie," Kurt told, as he headed back to the stove. "Apparently when you get drunk, hitting on gay men is your thing. I mean you kissed Blaine when you were drunk and developed a crush and then last night-"
"Don't remind me," Rachel exclaimed, letting her hair fall down around her face in an attempt to hide.
"Oh, cheer up. I'm sure in a year or two, you'll find the humor in the situation. I'm sure Blaine and I will have a laugh tonight when I call and tell him."
"Kurt, you can't!"
"He's my fiancé, Rachel. I can't keep the fact that a pretty, intoxicated, brunette wanted to have sex with me, from him. It wouldn't be right."
Rachel pushed the coffee mug back, crossed her arms on the table and dropped her head onto them. "I need to find a boyfriend."
"Can't argue with you there, sweetie," Kurt replied, a hint of amusement in his voice as he went back to making pancakes.
