Set after the events of Cursed Child.
Draco knelt to see Harry Potter's head in his fireplace.
"Potter? Why are you calling me at this late hour?" He desperately hoped it was nothing to do with Scorpius and Albus; hadn't they been through enough?
"I need your help and co-operation, Malfoy. I've done something bad, very bad," said Harry, clearly agitated.
Draco became alert. "Put the corpse on ice, I'm on my way."
Harry looked taken aback. "What? No, it's not...why would I -"
"Just get your arse over here, Draco," called Ginny, from behind Harry.
"Why would you even say that, Draco?" asked Harry, aghast.
Draco sighed. Potter obviously had no sense of humour. Then again, he was head of the Auror department. "It was a joke, Potter. Just tell me, are our sons all right?" he demanded.
"They're fine, Draco. Look, just come over, all right? Ron and Hermione are here too," informed Harry.
"Oh, this is getting better and better," sighed Draco. "Very well, I shall be there momentarily," he told Harry, in resignation. He doused the flames to go and grab his cloak.
"Momentarily?" mimicked Ron, "What a ponce." He angrily attacked his chicken leg.
Hermione rolled her eyes and exchanged an amused look with Harry.
"You have to be the one to tell him, Harry," said Ginny.
"Me, why me?" gulped Harry.
"Because you did this," chorused Ron, Hermione and Ginny. They turned to see Draco step out of the Potter fireplace.
"Right, I'm here. What is the emergency?" he asked.
Ron, Hermione and Ginny looked at Harry, causing Draco to do so, too. "Well, you see..." began Harry. He hesitated.
Draco sighed, tapping his foot impatiently. "Sometime tonight, Potter?"
"We've booked a trip for the upcoming summer holidays and we'd like Scorpius to join us," said Harry.
"Oh. Well, thank you, that's very nice of you. If Scorpius would like to go, of course I give my consent," agreed Draco.
"Good, that's good," nodded Harry. Ginny cleared her throat, gesturing for Harry to continue. "And, well..."
"Yes?" encouraged Draco.
"We," - Ginny and Ron coughed, so he amended quickly, " that is, I kind of booked you to come with us too."
"Oh." That was a surprise. "Well, thank you, Potter. May I enquire where we will be going?"
"Disneyland. The happiest place on Earth."
There was silence till Ginny snickered. "Oh, Draco, your face," she giggled.
Draco sighed in relief. "Oh, it was a joke, right?"
Hermione was laughing, while Ron looked smug. So Draco looked to Harry. "Actually, no. We're going to Disneyland, all of us. California for two weeks," he announced.
"I volunteer Ron to sit next to Draco on the aeroplane ride over," said Ginny.
Ron turned to Ginny and scowled. "Well, I volunteer Ginny to sit next to Malfoy on that ride - 'It's a Small World'," he said, shooting his sister a triumphant look.
"Is that the ride that goes in the tunnels?" clarified Ginny.
Hermione nodded. Ron grinned. "It's really dark. Give you any ideas, Ginny?"
Ginny shrugged. "Sure. If I was sitting with you, nobody would see me push you over," she told her brother.
Harry put his hand up. "I think Ginny should sit with Ron on the tunnel ride. All those in favour?"
Draco put his hand up and to Ron's surprise, so did Hermione. He scowled back at Ginny. She grinned cheekily. "You have no idea what I'm capable of," she told him.
He opened his mouth to retort, but Hermione stepped in. "Now, now, we're going to make this a lovely family holiday. Let us proceed with caution and empathy." She said the last as a warning to Ron, whilst also shooting a look at Draco.
Harry snorted. "We've never tried it before, maybe it will work." Ginny laughed, and the two high fived.
"You two are the worst," complained Ron, looking at them.
"Perhaps they should go on the tunnel ride together then, handcuff them so they can't escape, or drown each other," suggested Draco. "Who do we know has handcuffs," he quipped.
"Well, Harry and I – " began Ginny.
Harry elbowed her, flushing.
" – wouldn't know," finished Ginny, smirking.
"That was convincing," said Hermione, dryly.
"Hermione," said Draco, hoping to change the topic, " are you sure you're able to take so much time off? I hear you're usually in the Ministry very early till quite late at night."
"It's okay, Draco, even Hermione's has to shut down and re-boot sometime," explained Harry.
"Huh?"
"Pardon?"
"It's a computer reference, Ron, Draco," explained Hermione. "Seriously I could do with a holiday, after the last year we've had."
They all nodded, thinking back to the horrible events of the last year.
"Then it's settled. The Potters, Weasley and Malfoys are going to America!" said Ginny.
"I prefer the Malfoys, the Potters and Weasleys are going to America," corrected Draco, smugly. "Alphabetical order, and all."
"Oh boy," muttered Ron, "this trip is so set to fail."
Two months later – at LA Airport.
"So," said Ron, slapping Harry on the back, "all in all, a successful trip," he said. He and Hermione had had plenty of down time together, and the kids had a great time, exploring California with the Potters and Malfoys.
Hermione rushed over. "I can't find Malfoy!" she exclaimed, looking this way and that at the bustling airport with huge crowds. James and Lily began to search. Rose and Hugo sat watching people walk past.
Ron's grin grew wider. "Yep, a 100 % successful trip," he sighed in satisfaction.
"Found him," said Ginny, joining them with Draco trailing behind her.
Albus and Scorpius joined them too. Albus surprised Harry by hugging him. "Thanks, Dad, it was a great holiday." Harry patted his back.
Scorpius looked longingly at Draco. "Very well, we may hug for four to five seconds," allowed Draco, opening his arms wide.
Scorius beamed. "Forty five seconds, wow. Thanks, Dad." He stepped into his father's embrace, holding on tightly.
Draco smiled, despite himself. "So this is what we do now, we hug?" He closed his arms around his son.
"I really, really like it, Dad," said Scorpius, his voice muffled against his father's chest.
"Me too, Dad," said Albus, still holding on to Harry.
"Yes, a 100% successful trip," whispered Ginny to Hermione.
"Gin...where are James and Lily?" asked Harry.
"Crap!"
