I apologize for the wait. It's just I've been busy watching Soul Eater on Netflix. I know a lame excuse, but I couldn't help it. It's just a good show that I couldn't stop watching. Anyways enjoy this chapter.
When morning came, I was sore and a bit dazed. I turn to my side after stretching and yelped a bit when I saw Sesshomaru staring at me with his golden eyes. He reached his hand to my blushing cheek and rest it there.
"M-morning." I stuttered nervously to my husband.
That's going take a while to get use too.
"Hn, why are you nervous?" he asked removing his hand from my cheek.
The reason was because this was a new thing for me. Being a wife and having husband.
"You don't have to hide or keep things from me. You can tell me anything." he said when I hadn't spoke.
I waited to long thinking. Great he thinks there's something wrong!
"Erm, it's nothing. I'm just getting use to all of this." I told him and slipped out of bed.
I grabbed a kimono that a servant must had laid out while we were asleep. I slipped it on with my back facing Sesshomaru. I began to tie the obi when I heard him move a bit in the bed.
"Where are you going?" he asked wrapping his arm around my waist.
He pulled me down so I was now sitting in his lap with my back against his bare chest.
"Uh, to see Rin and Kohaku. I hadn't really been around them lately." I told him.
"Stay for a while." he whispered into my ear sending shivers down my spine.
I was about to nod my head when a knock came to the door. Sesshomaru let out a growl of annoyance and I hopped off his lap quickly.
"Come in." Sesshomaru said with annoyance lacing his voice.
"F-Forgive me, Lord Sesshomaru." A servant said opening the door, "Lady Inu Kimi is needing to see you."
"Tell my Mother that I am busy." Sesshomaru said.
"I am sorry, m'Lord, but Lady Inu Kimi said it was most important that you come." the servant said shaking with fear as Sesshomaru glared at him.
"Maybe you should go and see what she wants." I told him.
"Tell her I will be there shortly." Sesshomaru told the servant after a moment of silence.
"Yes, Lord Sesshomaru." the servant said bowing before walking away.
Sesshomaru turned his eyes to me and closed them for a moment. He pinched the bridge of his nose and I frowned. I slowly walked over to him and sat in his lap. I wrapped my arms around him in a hug. He seemed surprised by this.
"I know she is annoying and crazy, but she is still your mother." I told him and let go.
I stood up and walked over to a mirror. I grabbed a comb that was laying close by and began to brush my hair as Sesshomaru got out of bed. I blushed as I could see him in the reflection of the mirror getting dressed. I kept my eyes on my face as I brushed my hair. Though I did occasionally look. He was my husband after all. So it wasn't a crime or anything.
I looked down at my neck and frowned at the marks he left. I set the comb down and turned to face the clothed Sesshomaru.
"Be ready to leave this afternoon." Sesshomaru told me before leaving the room.
He wanted to leave so soon? Well I don't blame him. Who knows what his mother will do if we stayed another night.
With that thought I left to go find Rin and Kohaku. I found the two in the garden with Jaken. Rin was forcing Jaken to play monkey in the middle with them. I laughed when he cried out how it wasn't fair that they were throwing the ball too high.
"Okay you two play fair with the toad." I said laughing as Jaken gave me a glare.
"Just because you're Lord Sesshomaru's wife now doesn't mean I'm not going let you get away with calling me a toad! I am an Imp you stupid girl!" Jaken shouted.
"I was hoping you were going to say that. It would be weird if you didn't." I told him and threw a pebble at his head lightly, "And I'm not stupid!"
"Whatever." he muttered rolling his eyes.
"Kaori, play with us!" Rin said, "Master Jaken won't quit complaining."
"Sure, so what's the game?" I asked her.
"Tag, and Kohaku's it!" she said happily tapping Kohaku on his shoulder, before running away.
"H-Hey!" Kohaku shouted in surprise as he chased after her.
"Kaori! He's going catch me!" Rin shouted laughing and I ran to her.
Kohaku tapped me and I started to chase Kohaku, and Rin.
-Third Person P.O.V- Sesshomaru meeting with his mother-
Sesshomaru walked through the giant doors leading to where his mother was waiting. He stopped when he saw her laughing about something to another woman. By the looks of her clothing and posture Sesshomaru knew that it was one of his mother's noble 'friends' that she loved rubbing things into their faces.
"Ah, Sesshomaru! I am honored that you finally showed up." his mother said with a fake smile on her face as she looked at her son.
The demon that had been speaking with the female dog demon, excussed herself and was lead out by a servant.
"What is it that you need to speak with me about, Mother?" Sesshomaru asked her showing a hint of annoyance with his voice.
"Ah, yes. I was just wondering if you two enjoyed my gift last night." she said and Sesshomaru gave her a suspicious look.
"What did you do to it?" he asked her calmly.
"Nothing." she told him, "You shouldn't be so suspicious of me. I won't kill you."
Sesshomaru didn't say a word as he stared at his mother. She let out a sigh and rolled her eyes.
"It's a special sake. It brings fertility to the drinkers." she explained, "Is it hard to ask for some grandchildren before I get too old?"
"Mother." Sesshomaru began, but she cut him off.
"Come walk with me. It's been forever since you last did." she said waving her hand up and down.
Sesshomaru nodded his head and Inu Kimi stood up from her seat. With her leading the way to the garden Sesshomaru followed.
"...and so Shiga said that if another war breaks out he will send us aid." Inu Kimi spoke as the two demons walked through the garden.
"Gah! You stupid toad!" they heard Kaori shout angrily.
The two looked a head to see Kaori glaring at Jaken as he glared back.
"How many times do I have to tell you? I am an Imp!" Jaken shouted.
"I wouldn't be calling you a toad if you could play right! Geez, the game is called hide and seek. Not hide and complain." she told him and wacked him on the head.
Inu Kimi chuckled a bit as she watched her new daughter-in-law.
"She is an odd girl." Inu Kimi said.
"Yes, she is." Sesshomaru said as he watched Kaori turn away from Jaken and began to count.
"She's a good sweet girl. I'm glad you married her." Inu Kimi told her son, "She'd be good for you. Though it would be nice if she wasn't so shy and innocent. Which I doubt she will be for long, especially after last night."
With that said the older demon grinned at her son.
"Mother." he began.
"Oh, hush. Everyone in the palace knows what you two did. Even that little human boy." Inu Kimi told him.
"Okay, ready or not! Here I come!" Kaori shouted and turned around facing her husband and mother-in-law.
Kaori blushed and gave the two a smile.
"What is it that you are doing?" Inu Kimi asked her.
"Oh, I'm playing hide and seek with Rin, Kohaku and Jaken." she told them.
"That doesn't seem very fun." Inu Kimi said and looked over at a tree where Rin hid, "The little girl is over there, and the boy is hiding in those bushes. You should easily know that."
"Uh, yes. I know, but it's a game, so I do really use my senses to find them." she told her, "I think Iwpuld be cheating if I did, plus it wouldn't be that fun."
"I see, well I should be going." Inu Kimi said, "I hope you are staying another night, Sesshomaru."
"No, we will be leaving soon." Sesshomaru said and she nodded her head.
"Until next time then. Oh, if Kaori becomes pregnant let me know." she said giving Kaori a wink before walking away.
Kaori stood there with her cheeks bright red.
"Finish your game." Sesshomaru told Kaori as he sat under a tree.
Kaori nodded her head and called out to Kohaku, Rin and Jaken that she was going to find them.
While Kaori ran around another set if eyes were watching them.
"Spying is very rude you know." Inu Kimi said as she stopped to stand next to Kashikoi.
"I could say the same thing to you." he replied and she rolled her eyes.
"I don't spy. It's called observing from afar." she told him waving her hand with a smile on her face.
"In other words spying." he told her.
"You're no fun." she pouted.
"Becareful there, I might actually think you meant that." Kashikoi told her with a smile on his face appearing.
"Of course I meant it. You were always the boring one." Inu Kimi told him.
"That's not what Tashiao and Tomoko thought. They loved my jokes." Kashikoi told her and she rolled her eyes.
"Because that was the only thing funny." she told him and sighed.
"Something bothering you?" he asked her.
"Besides your annoying presence, I don't want them to go just yet. It's foolish for them to go out and try to defeat Naraku. Many have tried and failed." she said.
"Yes it is foolish, but I have faith that they will be okay. They're basically still children." Kashikoi told her.
"I suppose you're right." Inu Kimi said as she watched Kaori picked Rin up and spun around with the laughing girl, which brought a small smile to her lips.
-Kaori- P.O.V-
"I win!" Rin cheered happily as Jaken mumbled in annoyance.
"Good job, Rin." Kohaku said as Sesshomaru stood up.
We all turned to him as he began to walk away. I guess that wadms our que to leave.
"Let's go guys." I said and grabbed their hands before running after Sesshomaru.
-Ten minutes later-
After changing out of my kimono into a comfortable pair of jeans and a shirt, that I thankfully had in my backpack and weren't ruin from traveling all the time, we left on A-Un.
I looked back at the palace to see my father waving good-bye. I waved back and hoped he would be okay while we are gone.
-A day later- (AN: Sorry for the time skips, but I just don't feel like typing useless things.)
"Ugh, why are we walking in this dark creepy forest instead of flying over it?" I asked Jaken as we followed Sesshomaru.
"Hmp, because if we fly over it then the evil demon spirit, Satsugai-sha will see us and it wouldn't be good." Jaken said.
"Why not?" I asked him as I stepped over a tree root.
"He is known as the Slayer. He will slay any living things." Jaken said.
"Isn't walking through the forest even more dangerous?" I asked him.
"No, in the sky we wouldn't be able to hide from him, but in a forest we could." he said.
"I see, but couldn't Sesshomaru just fight him if he appeared?" I said and Jaken gave me a glare.
"Idiot, are you wanting Lord Sesshomaru dead? No one has survived from Satsugai-sha!" Jaken said and fell to the ground after being kicked in the face by a black boot.
"Jaken, do not insult my wife." Sesshomaru said and my heart jumped.
I still wasn't used to hearing that.
"I'm sorry, Lord Sesshomaru." Jaken cried, "Please forgive me."
Sesshomaru turned around and began to walk again. I let out a sigh and looked down at the imp as he held his nose.
"I don't mind if he insults me." I told Sesshomaru as I walked next to him, "It doesn't bother me, so you should go easy on him."
Sesshomaru was about to say something when a giant rumbling sound began. Sesshomaru pushed me behind him quickly. Instead of just standing behind him, I ran over to Kohaku and Rin as Sesshomaru pulled out his sword.
A giant stone flew towards us. I grabbed Rin and Kohaku before jumping out if it's way as Sesshomaru was attacked by something. I couldn't see well because of the dust from the rock hitting the ground.
"Are you two okay?" I asked as I pulled out my sword.
"Yeah." Kohaku said and grabbed his weapons.
"Stay here and protect Rin." I told him and ran to where Sesshomaru was fighting a man. No it was Satsugai-sha.
Satsugai-sha threw a punch at Sesshomaru, but he dodged it.
"You should had never entered this forest! You'll never leave now." he growled and tossed another rock at Sesshomaru.
"Battle Crusher!" I shouted swinging my sword at the flying stone.
The rock crumbled away.
"What is a woman doing here?" Satsugai-sha asked.
"Kaori take A-Un and go with the others. I will take care of him." Sesshomaru said.
"I'm not leaving you behind." I told him gripping my sword tighter.
"Stubborn woman." he muttered.
"This is my only warning to you woman, leave and you won't be harmed." Satsugai-sha said.
"Huh? Why give me a warning and not him?" I asked feeling a bit confused.
"Uh, did I forget to mention that he only fight men?" Jaken said scratching his head.
"Jaken!" I growled glaring at the imp.
But if he won't fight women then I could use that to my advantage. I smirked and ran at the demon. I swung my sword at him, but he dodged it.
"Stupid woman! I will not hesitate to kill you." he said dodging another one of my attacks.
I jumped up in the air and slammed my fist towards him. He grabbed my fist and slammed me on the ground. I gritted my teeth as the air was knocked out of me.
I shouldn't have been so cocky and think he wouldn't actually hurt me since he didn't fight women.
"How can you handle a woman like that?" Satsugai-sha asked Sesshomaru.
Sesshomaru did not answer. He only swung his sword at him. Satsugai-sha only laughed and threw another rock at Sesshomaru. He dodged it quickly and used one of his poisionus claw whips to wrap around Satsugai-sha's waist.
Sesshomaru raised him up inyo the air and brought him back down to the ground. He did three more times, before letting him fall to the ground.
"Heh, didn't think you'd be this hard to fight, dog." Satsugai-sha said grinning as he raised up.
"That's Lord Sesshomaru to you!" Jaken shouted and then hid behind Kohaku and Rin when the demon looked over at him.
"Human children? What you planning on doing with them?" Satsugai-sha asked looking at Sesshomaru.
"That is none of your concern." Sesshomaru told him, "Now die!"
"Die?" Satsugai-sha said with a grin, "I don't plan on doing that anytime soon."
Sesshomaru jumped at Satsugai-sha and slammed his sword down at him, but Satsugai-sha dodged him. I pushed myself up from where I had been laying and recovering my breath. I grabbed my sword, which caused Satsugai-sha to notice me. A smirk appeared on his face.
"You don't give up do you?" he asked, "Hm, you're different than most women. I like you."
"Get in line." I growled and ran at him.
Before I could even swing my sword at him, he slammed his fist into my gut. I dropped to my knees and fell face first to the ground.
"Ah, I hate to let you live, but I have other matters to tend too." Satsugai-sha said to Sesshomaru and I felt him lift me up.
I tried to fight him off and I could hear Sesshomaru coming at him, but that was all that I knew, before Satsugai-sha hit me in the back of my head knocking me unconcious.
Oh no! Kaori's been kidnapped once again! Or has she? Who knows Sesshomaru might save her before Satsugai-sha gets away. Until next time. Don't forget to review and a big thanks to those who have faved, followed and reviewed.
