Harry blinked in Daphne's direction, then asked "What do you mean what's wrong with my eyes?" Daphne once again, conjured a hand-crafted hand mirror and handed it to her boyfriend. Harry hastily took the hand mirror, and looked at his reflection. Now he knew what his girlfriend had meant by her question. His eyes have changed from the Bright Green that he inherited from his mother, to a Brilliant Gold color. "What is happening to me?" a voice that was not Harry's own asked. "Harry, did your voice just get deeper all of a sudden?" Ron asked in shock and surprise. Harry once again started talking, and then noticed it was his voice that was speaking. It had gotten quite deeper than it was a few minutes ago. "It seems that Shade is making you go through puberty at an accelerated rate. Your voice got deeper, you've gotten taller, and your hair is longer than usual. It's either puberty, or he's making you a suitable host for when he's finally able to make you his permanent body. If it's the latter, then we need to hurry and find a way to expel him from your body as quickly as possible." Hermione explained.

Daphne then asked Harry "Why did your eyes go wide when Hermione said the word Horcruxes? What are they and what do you know about them that you haven't told us?" Harry looked at his girlfriend, then both of his best friends. He sighed at himself, as he explained with his newly deepened voice "Horcruxes are Dark Magic items that can hold the soul of the person who made it. Through a complicated ritual, the person rips a piece of their soul from their body, and places it inside of an object. In a sense, it's the closest thing to becoming immortal that there is in this world. The more you rip your soul from your body, the more it changes your appearance. Just like it did to Voldemort, or how he was known back then Tom Marvolo Riddle." The reactions of his friends was exactly like he expected it to be, and that was terrified out of their minds. "So you mean to tell us, that Voldemort is still alive to this day because he made a Horcrux?

Harry nodded his head at his friends, and looked out of the compartment window. "What's more is he's made more than one. I don't know how many he has made though." Harry continued, while looking out of the window. "I believe I can help you with that answer Harry. Just as long as your friends don't try to expel me again." Shade told Harry in his mind. "They'll never stop trying to do that. Especially Daphne, who wants to have children one day. My children." Harry replied to Shade in his thoughts. "Ah. About that mate, it's nothing personal, but something had to be sacrificed for when I take full control of your body. Why not your ability to sire children, who could potentially become more powerful than me one day. For your troubles, I'll tell you how many Horcruxes little Tom Riddle made. Currently he has five Horcruxes that he made purposefully. Those are: Slytherin's Locket, Hufflepuff's Cup, Ravenclaw's Diadem, Morfin Gaunt's Ring, and his pet snake Nagini. You've already destroyed his diary. Get this though, you're the one Horcrux he never meant to make. Isn't that a shocker? That's the reason you can speak Parseltongue, and look into Voldemort's mind. You also have the ability to find his other Horcruxes, since you are one." Shade explained to Harry.

Harry's eyes went wide in shock, as looked at his friends, then back out of the window as if he was paranoid. "Harry? HARRY?!" Daphne yelled to get Harry's attention. Harry looked at his girlfriend, and without realizing it, he was crying. "Harry love, what's the matter?" Daphne asked in a concerned voice. He didn't know how he managed to talk, but he told them everything that Shade had told him. "He has six Horcruxes. He created six of them. There's a reason I was drawn to his diary before I destroyed it. There's a reason I can look into his mind, and speak Parseltongue, despite not being a descendant of Slytherin." he explained to the others. "Don't tell me…" Ron started saying. Harry nodded his head, and went against the better judgement of his thoughts. "I'm the Horcrux he never meant to make." he told everybody. Almost immediately, the crying started in the compartment. Daphne held her arms around her boyfriend, and Ron and Hermione did the same to their best friend. Harry pulled away from his friends, and asked them "You do know what this means don't you? I have to die in order to get rid of Voldemort once and for all." Daphne shook her head in denial, and yelled "NO! THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY! THERE HAS TO BE!" Harry rubbed her back, the way he always does when she's upset about something. "If there is another way to do it, then we'll find it Daph. We always find another solution in the end, but for now I suggest that we forget about this so we can enjoy our holidays. Alright?" Harry asked everyone.

Reluctantly, but certainly, everyone nodded their heads in agreement. About ten minutes of utter silence, a knock on the door drew their attention. Ron unlocked it since he was the closest, and their friend Neville Longbottom came inside, shutting the compartment door behind him. "What's up guys?" Neville asked them. They mumbled their words together, making it sound like an unintelligible mess. "What's wrong with you lot? You look like you've just seen someone come back from the dead." Neville said and asked. Harry just remembered the fact that nobody except for himself, Daphne, Ron, Hermione, Sirius, and Madam Pomfrey knew about Shade. That meant that even Professor Dumbledore knew about it as well, and that Neville and the rest of the school didn't know about it. "It's nothing Neville. What is it you wanted to tell us?" Harry asked him. Neville reached into his pocket, and pulled out a letter handing it to Harry.

"What is this Neville?" Harry asked as he took the letter from his friend. Neville went into an immediate explanation, and told him "It's two letters for you. One from Professor Dumbledore, and the other from Professor Black. They both asked me to deliver them to you on the train." Harry nodded at the explanation, then wondered why Sirius didn't tell him about the letter when they were saying their goodbyes, just a little over an hour ago. He opened the huge envelope, and withdrew the two letters inside. He read the one from Dumbledore first, because that seemed the most important at the time. He looked at the ancient-looking paper, and read:

Dear Harry,

hopefully Mr. Longbottom remembered to give you this letter. He is known to be a bit forgetful, but I have the utmost faith that he wouldn't forget to give you this letter. When your Sixth Year starts after the summer holidays, I'm going to be giving you private lessons, every Thursday at 6 p.m. Hoping you're having a very good winter holiday so far.

-Professor Dumbledore

"Those lessons ought to be interesting." Harry thought to himself, as he picked up Sirius' letter. This one looked kind of worn down, as if it had been written days ago, instead of an hour ago. He started reading the letter, and finished reading it in two minutes. It read:

Dear Harry,

when you return to Hogwarts, Snape will be in charge of your Occlumency lessons for the next two weeks. I'll be on vacation in the Canary Islands during then with Courtney. Dumbledore has already given me the permission to do so, and gave Snape permission to take over my duties as Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons, as long as my dear cousin, Narcissa Malfoy takes over as Potions professor. We've come to the agreement, however much I don't like the Malfoys besides Narcissa, that that'll be the plan of action for after the holidays. I hope that you don't feel like I'm abandoning you in your time of need, but this vacation may also lead me to clues about how to cure your Shade problem. Remember, keep in line while you're at Greengrass Manor, and don't do anything reckless. There's a war coming, and we need to be cautious and prepared.

-Sirius Black

Harry stared at the letter after he finished reading it, and it instantly put him in a bad mood. He hated Snape, and Snape hated him. It was exclusively mutual. Now he was stuck with him for the next two weeks, and at least three times a week. He groaned at the bad news that he just read, then Daphne asked him "What's wrong Harry?" Harry handed her the letter so she could read it, and she finished it faster than he had. "Oh. That's what's wrong. Look Harry, I know how much you despise Professor Snape, but try to get through this for Sirius." Daphne told him. Ron, Hermione and Neville looked at the two confused, until Harry explained the situation to them. "Sirius is going on a two week vacation to the Canary Islands. He thinks it might help with You-Know-What, but he's taking the vacation when we return from holiday. So that means we're stuck with Snape as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and I'M STUCK WITH HIM FOR MY OTHER LESSONS!" he angrily spat out. He was seething in rage, and he could guess that it meant that Voldemort was angry at the moment. "Excellent Harry. Excellent. Give into your anger. It'll become much easier for me to take over your body. Then it'll be a matter of time until I turn you into the world's most powerful Dark Lord." Shade told Harry in his thoughts.

Instantly, Harry calmed down. He wasn't going to give Shade his body without a fight. Hermione then asked Harry "If Snape is going to take over as Defense Against the Dark Arts post while Sirius is away, who's going to take over the Potions post while Snape is teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts." Harry once again looked out of the compartment window, and muttered "Sirius' cousin, Narcissa Black, who is known now as Narcissa Malfoy. That prat Draco's mother." Silence once again filled the compartment, until Ron asked "So now we have to deal with that weasel Draco, and his mother?" Harry nodded his head at his best friend, but continued to look out of the window. "Well the end of our Fifth Year is certainly becoming more and more interesting by the days." Daphne joked around. Ron and Harry both looked at Daphne as if she was completely mental, then Daphne hastily said "I was joking, for crying out loud." Harry sighed at his girlfriend, then kissed her on the forehead.

"Next time just say that Daph." Harry muttered weakly. She nodded at her boyfriend, while rolling her eyes at him. She nuzzled her head into his chest, and Hermione did the same to Ron. Neville looking like the odd man out, quickly said goodbye to his friends, and left the compartment with haste. They sat in silence for the rest of the trip, only talking when the lunch trolley lady came and asked if they wanted something. Harry ordered the lot of them: Bertie Bott's Every-Flavor Beans, Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, Chocolate Frogs, Cauldron Cakes, Pumpkin Pasties, and Licorice Wands. They were all in a happy mood, and forgotten all about Shade, after they ate the copious amounts of sweets. When they got off the train at King's Cross Station, Ron and Hermione said their farewells to Harry and Daphne, as Ron went with his family, and Hermione went with her family. Daphne directed herself and Harry (who was carrying the luggage like a true gentleman) towards a group of blondes near the entrance of King's Cross Station.

"Dad, Mum, this is my boyfriend Harry Potter. Harry, these are my parents." Daphne introduced to Harry. Harry placed one of the bags in his hand down, and went for a handshake from Mr. Greengrass. "Hello young Harry. My name is Clyde Greengrass. You can call me Dad or Mr. Greengrass if you like. This is my lovely wife Crystal Greengrass. The little one behind me is Astoria Greengrass. Daphne's little sister. She got off of the train just moments before you two did." Mr. Greengrass told Harry. Harry smiled at him, then gave a hug to Mrs. Greengrass. He tried to say hi to Astoria, but she was shy just like Ginny was, before she met him. "Don't worry about her. When you get past her shy exterior, she is quite the talker." Daphne told Harry. He nodded at her, then picked up the bag he sat down, and followed Daphne and her family out of the train station. "Excuse me Mr. Greengrass. How are we getting to your home?" Harry asked him, since he remembered Daphne telling him last week that the Greengrass Family was a Pure-Blood Family. They walked into an empty alley, away from prying eyes, and Mr. Greengrass pulled out an old edition of the Daily Prophet. "This is how we're getting to our home, young Mr. Potter." The newspaper started turning blue, and Harry quickly grabbed the paper after placing the luggage in his other hand. "Again with these bloody things." was Harry's final thought, before he experienced the familiar tug behind his navel.
