Lady A: Hey Ladies and Gents and welcome back to the first installment of the Phoenix Saga called Origin! Yeah, I know. I'm updating super quick, but I'm taking advantage of some rather unexpected free time to type up some more, so be happy because you get another chapter!
Much love, gratitude, and warm fuzzies to all those who have faved, followed, and reviewed this story and all of my other ones as well. You guys are awesome!
Brief Recap: The trio of time travelers finally made it to the Tower of London. Artimes lost her temper for a split second and discovered what it was that she actually did harbor hatred for…her own race. Then the Doctor nearly went off the deep end and the time/space jumper had to stop him while Amelia Pond did her thing and saved both the humans and the Star Whale.
Now on with the show!
Chapter Thirty Six: The New Path
The crimson haired time/space jumper known as Artimes hunted all over Starship UK for her missing future husband. The idiot had gone and vanished on her and it had taken her forever to key in to his location. After another ten minutes, she found her favorite Timelord on the observation deck, staring out the window and into space.
She quietly meandered over to him and snaked her arms around his waist to hug him. He reacted instinctively and drew her into a tighter embrace, his head resting on hers and breathing in her night jasmine scent.
"Why didn't you tell me that it was Kenari sooner?" He asked snuggling deeper into her hair.
"Because it would have pissed you off more. You knew how special Kenari was to me and you would have chosen him over the humans without ever hearing their side of the story. Besides, you were emotional enough as is. There was no need to add fuel to the already blazing inferno." She answered relishing the warmth of the man holding her.
"I'm sorry. I came so close to losing it in there. Would have to if you hadn't stopped me. Please forgive me." He said softly, his voice reflecting both his regret and his need for forgiveness.
She pulled back slightly so she could look up at his face and into his ancient green eyes.
"You are forgiven. Always and completely forgiven, my precious Theta." She replied smiling at him, her eyes warm and bright.
He stared at her for a moment before his lips slammed down on hers in, by far, the most demanding and passionate kiss they had ever done. Her mouth opened to let out a moan as his hands slid across her body in enticing ways and his mouth covered hers again, swallowing the pleasurable noise before it could be released. The fiery sensations flowing through her from their activities made her entire body turn into jelly. She slumped in his arms, her knees going weak, but he held her firmly against his body so she wouldn't wall to the floor.
He brought her closer and she placed her right ear above his hearts. He cupped her left cheek with his right hand as she listened to steady four beats that always sounded so wonderful to her.
'I love you.' He whispered in her mind.
Her eyes glassed over as tears began to form her sapphire orbs. Her heart was practically leaping out of her chest at his telepathic declaration. She swallowed hard and dug deep within herself for the courage to answer him back with the feelings she had always held in her heart.
'I love you too.' She replied forcing her tears away so he wouldn't know just how monumental a moment this was to her.
He had never said it in his distant future, not even after they had made love to one another. Hearing those words, despite them being telepathic and not verbal, still meant more to her than anything in the universe and filled her with a warmth that she had never known before. She relished in that feeling and allowed it to engulf her completely. That warmth compelled her to kiss him again, and he responded just as passionately and tenderly as before.
She smirked slightly against his lips as a very odd idea flittered in the back of her mind. She wondered if it was possible to have a three way marriage.
Artimes was currently sitting in her room which oddly enough was very similar in design and color scheme to the Doctor's room…it was just a lot cleaner, more organized, and a lot less cluttered. She was writing on a digital pad with a Tardis like cover. She had been meaning to start up her diary to keep track of all her jumps, but she always seemed to be running or sleeping. She frowned slightly when she realized that she hadn't eaten or drank anything truly substantial since before the whole fiasco at the Torchwood estate and that blasted werewolf had made her miss dinner.
Artimes glanced down briefly at her upper arms, almost scowling at the deep purple, almost black hand shaped bruises that marred her skin. She sighed heavily, knowing that it was her own fault for getting in the line of fire, but someone had to take a stand and say no to The Oncoming Storm. She pulled on her satiny, ice blue robe and tied it in the front, covering her arms from view. If Theta saw them, he would practically drown in his guilt and she didn't want to do that to him.
She had learned by now that he absolutely hated it when she got hurt, but his self loathing would shoot through the roof if he was the one who had caused the injury to her in the first place. It was just one more thing that she had to protect him from, so she would keep it a secret for as long as she could, knowing he would find out eventually, but she was going to put off the inevitable for as long as possible.
The Doctor was going to be so pissed at her when she did the events of the episode called 'The Parting of the Ways' because she had no intention of letting her precious Rose become the Bad Wolf. The time/space jumper would take the Time Vortex into herself and protect her blonde haired companion and perhaps save her Theta from regenerating as well. She didn't care if she had to snitch a vortex manipulator from either Jack or River, but she was going to be there for those events.
The ginger haired woman had pretty much decided that she was going to make the nine hundred year old Timelord fall in love with her sooner rather than later. She and Rose were good friends during the Ten/Rose era so she was very certain that the blonde haired woman knew about her feelings for the time traveler and as for River…well, River was River and she was always highly flexible to things of this nature so she doubted that there would be any problems between her and the gun toting psychopath.
It was incredibly funny how a single adventure could change a person's entire outlook on life. It seemed like a recurring theme for her. She would always be learning, growing, and maturing as she traveled throughout time and space and discover things about herself that she never thought were possible to begin with.
Her sapphire eyes snapped from her digital diary as there was a soft knock on her door. She closed the diary and quickly stuffed it under her pillow, not wanting to sync up with him and the Timelord learning just how early she was in her personal time stream.
"Come in." She called.
The door opened to reveal the Eleventh Doctor, a frown on his face.
"Why are you in here instead of our bedroom?" He asked striding across the room and sitting on the bed.
"Because I wouldn't get any sleep in our bedroom." She replied smoothly, a suggestive look in her eyes.
He blushed brightly and looked everywhere except at her.
"I promise to let you sleep, but I don't like it when you're not with me." He admitted looking over at her with almost puppy dog eyes.
She leaned forward, her lips coming close to his and an almost smoldering look in her eyes.
"Perhaps I spoil you too much, hm?" She teased in purr like tone.
He grabbed her upper arms and pinned her to the bed, sliding in between her legs effortlessly. He immediately saw as pain flashed across her sapphire orbs, so he quickly released her arms. Tears had involuntarily formed in her eyes, alerting him that his Artz was injured. He moved his hands down and united the satin robe she wore, but as he tried to open it, she stilled his hands with her own.
"Don't." She pleaded softly, her eyes begging him not to remove the robe.
"You're hurt." He stated firmly as he slid the robe off of her shoulders, down her arms, and it pooled onto the bed.
His eyes grew wide at the deep bruises on her upper arms in the form of hand prints. His mind flashed to the events that had transpired in the Tower of London on Starship UK and his thoughts focused on the instance of time when he had grabbed her arms in anger after she had taken the sonic screwdriver from him, halting his work. His mouth ran dry as his guilt bubbled to the surface. It was him…he had hurt his precious Artz.
He opened his mouth to apologize, but she silenced him by diving her tongue into his mouth and giving him a full open mouth kiss. He pulled back slightly and she growled lowly in her throat, her eyes flashing dangerously. He lowered his head again and took her lips once more, but this time it was far more gentle and tender. He left her lips to trail kisses along her jaw, neck, and even into the valley of her breasts, making her squirm with desire, but it was nothing more than a highly arousing distraction.
He called forth his regeneration energy, forcing it to the surface and into his hands. He slid them up slowly along her arms, healing them of the damage he had caused to the woman he loved with all his hearts. The energy faded once its task was complete, leaving a slight discoloration of the skin that was barely discernible to his Timelord eyes and completely invisible to a human's eyes. He had injured her so deeply that even his regeneration energy couldn't fully remove it all and he was left with the barely visible reminder of his guilt and shame.
He lifted his head and looked into her eyes. He could see it in those sapphire blue orbs. She knew what he had done and he could tell that she was fighting the incredibly strong urge to slap him. He pushed himself fully in between her legs, his erection pressed firmly against her womanhood. She gasped at the contact, her eyes dilating with physical desire.
"I hate you." She muttered her hands reaching up and grasping the front of his shirt.
"No, you don't and you never will." He replied smirking slightly.
She pulled him back down on top of her, claiming his lips once more, and snogged him senseless. So much for getting any proper food or actual sleep. She was too busy satisfying a different hunger altogether and her Timelord was more than happy to grant her requests…more like demands.

Sneak Preview
Artimes didn't realize when she began to sob and rather loudly too. She was so wrapped up in her little breakdown that she hadn't heard the door of her room open and shut. Next thing she knew, she was in someone's arms. Singular heartbeat meant human and not Timelord. It definitely wasn't the inn keeper or one of the maids because this person was flat chested and clearly male.
"An angel should not weep in such despair." The man said softly, his hands rubbing her back soothingly.
Lady A: *snickers* So sorry, dearies, but that is where the preview ends. Bet you can't guess where she has landed herself this time, but by all means, please leave your guesses in your reviews for this chapter. Catch you later, dearies. *vanishes with a puff of smoke*
