A Message From The Grave
Candy Kingdom - Finn, Faith and Bubba
Bubba rushed towards the lab; he had just taken Belle back from there and put her to bed when he received an urgent call from Finn. He jumped onto the candy cane staircase and slid all the way down, He was quite glad Peppermint Butler wasn't around as he would have told the Prince off harshly for it. He ran all the way to the lab to find Finn and Faith sitting around waiting.
"Finn... What's happened?.. Where's Bonnie?..." He managed to get out through his breathing.
"Hasn't she called you yet? She called Marshall but that may have been due to help from Simone and Benny" Finn pondered.
"Wait? Simone... But Simone's in Aaa?"
"Yes and so is Bonnie" Bubba couldn't hide the shock from his face.
"How? She doesn't have a device to take her there so who took her there?" He suddenly met Faith's gaze. "Was it you?".
"No Bubba it wasn't, I'm as clueless as you are here I just got a call from Finn here to meet me here. I came as soon as I can which Hunson was not best pleased at I will have to have words about him being jealous of little Finn here." Finn chuckled although he wasn't sure why knowing Hunson was jealous of him made him feel a little good.
"So Finn What's up? Why is Bonnie in Aaa.."
"I take it you know about Hunter?"
"Yes he has the Huntress' powers, Jade I believe her name was, the last I heard from Bonnie was that Fionna had broken down crying after hearing about her mother... She had sent me the whole conversation and asked me to investigate whether it really was Martina."
"Yeah.. that helps knowing you're that up to date... well Lumen met me and he had discovered a lot about the darkness but it's kind of long so I'll try to explain the best I can." Once again Finn disclosed everything he had heard from Lumen concerning the darkness and it's origin. He explained about the roles that would have to be played and the new hopes they had before them.
"...Well that's... so math isn't it? We can stop it now and we know how, I would like to investigate those swords but for now shouldn't we be celebrating...?"
"You'd think.. but Lumen wouldn't wait to tell Fionna... He shadow morphed Marshall and Hunter into the ground and we think he then Light morphed Bonnie to Aaa though we're not sure how... which is why I brought you here Faith... He and Fionna then disappeared."
"Wait... Fionna's missing? Lumen took her? He send the others into the ground and Bonnie to Aaa? Why?!"
"...I think he needed to speak to Fionna... he was trying to help but everyone kept trying to tell him to wait... so he made them move... and we think he sent Bonnie to Aaa... because there's a message left for Fionna... from Martina."
"...There's a message..."
"I haven't heard it... so far only Marshall and Bonnie have but I've never seen Marshall wear such a dark expression before... he looked like he was ready to kill or to cry... or both..."
"Hmm... I can't imagine what would have done that to him... but anyway where's Fionna!?"
"Lumen took her to the tree house, we got a call from BMO it seems her and Isabella are back from their adventure and it didn't sound good. I took Phoebe home but before that it seemed like Fionna and Lumen were fighting and judging from BMO's cries... Lumen's hurt bad but I don't know all the details. Hunter went back to Marceline's to get the place ready for him but... well I just don't know."
"...Did losing her Mum really make Fionna that unstable that she'd attack her friend?"
"I don't think it's the case of it being a friend of hers rather than it being my son in law.." Both Bubba and Finn looked over to Faith who was wearing a worried expression.
"Why would it matter that it was Lumen?"
"He's powers... what he's achieved here in Ooo... or in the past... It's hard to not think that somehow he'd be able to save Martina... I also know that the individuals from Aaa including you Bubba have a slight resentment towards Lumen because of that."
"Faith I don't think that's true there's no way they would rese-"
"-It's true Finn... We all have said it at least once... 'Why couldn't he save them?'... 'How comes he cured that?'... You question it... Your world was blessed with his arrival but ours... Marshall lost both his parents but Marceline has both of hers, Phoebe has control of her power and is happy with her family... Phoenix is now a child again but his mother just waged war on Aaa. I never did discover immortality I just was helped by Bonnie... BMO*... he's gone but your BMO has a new body, a new chance... and there's many more cases where you guys have got happiness because of his presence here even when you didn't know it... how could we not hold any resentment but to let it loose like that... I can't believe it..."
"It's called grief.. I watched world after world fall into ruin because the darkness was chasing me... I led it to all these different worlds and in truth... the only reason it didn't go to Aaa before Ooo... was because it stopped chasing me and started chasing Lumen instead... if not... Aaa would have fallen already..."
"Wait... that's why you appeared before us... because your plan was ruined..."
"Yes, for my daughter I was willing to lead the darkness to Aaa instead of Ooo... but Lumen was created from Ivel... he was something even the darkness couldn't ignore because he brings change and he can make you, Finn, and Fionna so powerful... powerful enough to stop him and he fears Lumen because with Lumen we have the power to take him down."
"So he saved Aaa from the darkness..."
"No.. no one is saved yet..." Faith replied glumly.
The trio stood in silence when all of a sudden static cut across the radio in the corner. Bubba went over to it and started fiddling with it till he could hear a voice.
"Hello is anyone there? This is Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum broadcasting across the multiverse. I am in need of a ride home so if anyone has the ability to open dimensional portals or transport across time and space that would be handy." Bubba let out a loud chuckle.
"That's so like my Princess" he said proudly with a smile. The boys stepped back leaving room for Faith to open up a portal. They watched as the black flames formed the shape of a door which solidified into a door.
"...It's a door?"
"Yes with me already have traveled there and Bonnie not having much magical power I tried to make the portal as stable as possible and a door seemed the most logical choice of an entrance."
"That's rad faith"
"Why thank you Finn" Suddenly the door opened and Bonnie walked through, She was carrying an assortment of folders, bags and wearing a purple lab coat.
"...Bonnibel.. did you raid my records and lab?" Bubba asked stunned.
"Raid? Nahh I just borrowed it, I got bored being over there and I noticed all of the work you had done since you'd put immortality on hold and I was just like... I could use that so I took what I needed and I like this lab coat... it reminds me of you so I'm keeping this." She added sharply. She put her stuff down as Bubba hugged her still laughing at her actions as Faith dispelled the portal.
"Did you get it Bonnie?" Finn asked.
"Yep.. I managed to sort through the message and get it complete... It's ready to play whenever... but.. I'm not sure if Fionna should hear this..."
"Why...?"
"Listen... and you'll understand..."
"Hey short stuff... Mummy here..."
"I don't think you've ever heard these words from me that you can remember but I love you my little darling... but It's time for me to die..."
Marceline's Cave - Lumen, Marcy and Isabella.
Lumen's eyes shot open, his body ached all over as he looked down at the cyclops's tear soaked bandages that wrapped his body. He tried to stand but felt lightheaded so waited a minute. He could hear voices below him. One was Marceline's and the other he recognised as his sister's... he heard his name and decided to listen.
"What should we do... how can we tell him..."
"I don't know... I don't know what this means... we need to get him back to Fionna and get her to reverse it but given what just happened if she loses it he will actually die."
"...Hmm I tried to share my powers with him but it just stung me back... I can't do it which means she has sealed away all of his powers..."
"But without his powers... he's just a mortal human..."
"It's what I'm worried about... like this he's got no chance of surviving the trial let alone helping us stop the darkness..."
"I'm more worried about how he's going to feel than that Izzy... He can't fly... he can't morph... he can't make a weapon appear.. it seems like the shield's he's put in us are still working but for how long... if they disappear... it turns everything back to how it was before but worse... if the shields disappear... Finn and Phoebe can't be together... me and Marshall can't walk in sunlight and so many more problem..."
"I can fix that... me and Hope will.."
"That's another thing... how will this affect Hope... if the timeline changes because he loses these powers permanently... What happens to my daughter...?" Lumen had heard enough he went to climb the stairs to stop them but lost his footing and fell down them. The two girls rushed over to him and helped him up.
"Lumen what are you doing you should be resting!?" Marcy stressed.
"Marcy's right Ive-Lumen you should be back in bed..."
"Stop it you two I'm fine... I lived before powers and they aren't all I am... also it's not going to be forever so please don't worry about Hope she will be okay I promise. Fionna just didn't want me trying to escape and she was so focused on my powers I think her mind acted on it's own to seal them we just need to go see her."
"That's not a good idea Lumen... she tried to kill you!"
"...Wait till I get my hands on her.. how dare she hurt my brother..."
"STOP IT! Both of you! You're not going to hurt her and she was grieving and I was pushing for it. I needed her to understand her purpose and I needed her to be able to use her power... I asked for it and I got what was coming to me... but it's not her fault and I need to make sure she understands that!" Lumen explained frantically. Both girls looked at each other and sighed.
"Well once you rest up some more we'll head over..."
"No we're going now."
"What! Ive-Lumen... no."
"Bells you can call me Ivel I don't mind I'm your brother that hasn't changed and yes now. Imagine how she's feeling... she just lost her mum... and she almost killed her friend... if I was her when I woke up I'd feel worse than anything Magic Man could have done... We need to be there for her so yes... we're going.."
"...Can you put some more clothes on first..." Marcy added. Lumen looked down and realised that to treat his stab wounds they had to take all but his boxers off. His face went red and he went back upstairs to get dressed. He came down wearing a similar pair of trousers, a red and black stripped top and a black leather jacket.
"Wolfbait.. are they my clothes?..."
"Yeah.. why do you have guys clothes in your closet?"
"More comfortable.. but why are you wearing them... what happened to yours?"
"...My clothes... are kind of related to my powers... so when you took them off... they disappeared... unless you took them?"
"Well yeah we put them in the wash one sec.." Marceline flew out of the room but came back almost instantly.
"They're actually gone!"
"Yup... except my boxers... I figured you can never be too safe and didn't really want to be left naked if my powers junked up."
"I see... though you look awfully cute like that my little Wolfbait... kinda sexy as well like I own you or something" Marcy winked at Lumen who went a little red.
"...Please... don't flirt when I'm around..." Bella added before heading out of the door.
"She's just jelly of our love" Marcy joked.
"Maybe but being owned by you doesn't sound too bad Marcy even want it permanent just ask and I'll get you a little ownership ring" Lumen winked back at her and rushed out the door leaving Marcy speechless.
"I WANT THAT IN WRITING!" She yelled after him.
Tree house - Marshall and Fionna
"...Fi... come on Fi wake up please.."
"Fi come on I didn't hit you that hard..."
"... Fi?" Marshall lent over her to see if her eyes had opened but was greeted with a headbutt. Fionna grabbed him pinning him to the floor and raising her fist to him.
"Fionna my little bunny... if you want to get kinky I am all the more for it but calm down... please"
"...Marshall.."
"Yeah it's me..."
"What... what happened?... the last thing I remember is... Lumen.. Oh god what did I do to him!"
"Well... you beat him up real good stabbed him a lot and also sealed away all of his powers before trying to kill him..." Fionna stared at Marshall in horror as he retold the events of her hysterical actions.
"...no..."
"No... i wouldn't.. i couldn't.."
"Fi calm down he's alive don't worry, Marcy took him home."
"That's... good.. He's..never going to forgive me..." Fionna started to cry again so Marshall sat beside her and pulled her into his arms.
"Fionna... I think he intended for this to happen.. well most of it..."
"What! Why would he want that!"
"Did you hear what I said... You sealed his powers away.."
"Sealed his powers... how?" She asked confused. Marshall told her about everything he had learnt from Finn.
"...So I'm some sort of light princess destined to seal the darkness... but why would Lumen want me to seal his powers!?"
"...Lumen's powers are half Light and half Dark.. half from the Angel of Light and half from the Darkness... if you can seal them then I think he hoped you'd be able to seal the darkness too.."
"So he let me almost kill him... to prove that?"
"Well I don't think he intended to get beat that bad or at all but my little bunny is a force to be reckoned with."
"...Where did he send you by the way?"
"...He sent me underground and me and Hunter had to crawl our way out of the mud..." He looked at Fionna who was shaking he thought she was about to start crying again when she burst out laughing.
"Ahaha he sent you underground... You were... lower than dirt" She carried on laughing to her hearts content.
"Oh so you wanna play like that Fi.." He picked her up and span her around.
"If I'm lower than dirt then you must be the little worm that wants to eat that dirty dirt.."
"Wait.. Why would I want to eat you?..."
"...Oh Fi... so innocent..."
"What?..." Marshall started laughing too and put them both back on the bed.
"There's something else Fionna..."
"What?"
"Lumen sent Bonnie to Aaa.."
"What? Why? He can do that?"
"Yeah.. and when she was there... she found a message.."
"Message?"
"A mayday message.. from your Mum.. for you.."
"... ..."
"I have listened to it already... and I'm going to be honest with you... I don't want you to listen to it..."
"What! That's my MUM Marshall.. It's her goodbye for me... I have to listen to it... I have to know.. I need to know what she said..." Fionna blue eyes met him and because of the tears they shined brighter which for Marshall made it hard to refuse her anything.
"...I know... but I think you shouldn't... however.. if you still want to... Bonnie, Finn and Bubba will be here soon to show it to you."..
"I want to hear it Marshy.."
"I understand Fionna.." Fionna looked at Marshall's face and could tell that he was not happy with her choice but was going to support her anyway. She lent forward and began to kiss him. He returned her kiss and the two began to hold each other passionately and were getting lost in the moment.

"Should we come back later?" The pair looked up to see Finn at the door awkwardly with Bonnie and Bubba hiding their eyes behind him.
"Yes that woul-" Marshall started.
"No! Now's good... we were just.. no now's great" Fionna noticed Marshall starting to sulk and the group headed down into the living room to talk.
"How are you feeling Fionna?" Bubba asked worried.
"..I'm okay I think.." She replied but no one as really convinced of this.
"Fionna..." Finn got her attention and once she was listening he continued... "I don't think you should listen to this..."
"YOU TOO? How can I not listen to this, it's my mother Finn... My Mum.. You know exactly how I feel so how could I not listen to her goodbye..."
"...I do understand but I heard the message... and I'm not sure it's what you need to hear right now..."
"It's my choice Finn, and you Marshall, I want to listen now Bonnie please... Play the message." Bonnie looked up at the others, like them she also didn't want Fionna to hear it but she pulled out her recording device and pushed play.
The Recording begins.
"Hey short stuff... Mummy here..."
"I don't think you've ever heard these words from me that you can remember but I love you my little darling... but It's time for me to die..."
"I never told you many things Fionna.. Including why I left you in the woods... I'm sure by now you'll know since you headed over to Ooo... I think you'd have met Finn and Martin by now.. I bet your confused to how I even know who they are right?... Well I met Martin once before we set off the first time to destroy the ship and slow down the darkness... He was me from another world."
Static plays over the recording.
"He told me about his son Finn.. another you but a BOY! It was like if I had a son.. Part of me wanted to cross to Ooo and live with Martin and Finn... we could raise you together as a family but.. Martin told me about a friend of your's Ivel... he told Martin about the future where you'd make your way to Ooo to fight the darkness and Martin had decided to do whatever he could for Finn even if it meant dying... he actually asked me to take him and raise both of you but as a parent... I couldn't live with doing nothing for you..."
More static plays.
"I said goodbye to him.. it was like losing your father all over again... when you met me in the Citadel I wanted so much to be everything you wanted of me... but I knew what I had to do and I was worried you getting close to me would mean you would hurt more... If only I hadn't failed... I would have preferred you to never meet me..."
..the recording becomes less clear...
"I do love you.. I do.. you will always be my precious baby girl Fionna.. but I'm no mother.. I was just a fool charmed by your father who believed together we could do anything... and without him.. I couldn't do it.. but I can do this for you.. I can buy some time for your home.. I know your fighting over there but I want to make sure that the people who have loved and raised you... are safe.. but now I need you to do something for me.. Pretend you never heard any of this... this is just me selfishly wanting to leave you my love... you may never even hear this... but if you do... forget it.. remember me as a vile... horrible and terrible mother.. the disappointment... the chip on your shoulder and the thing you wish to forget... because in the end... that's all I'm worth.."
The audio begins to break up.
"It's time... I can't... I can't breath... the smoke... it's too much... I'm... sorry.. Fionna... but... good.. bye.." Bonnie reached forward and turned off the recording.
"Why'd you stop it! There's more!" Fionna ripped the recorder from Bonnie's hands and pressed play.
"...Arrrrrggghhh... f..u..c..k...y..o..u..d..a..r..k..n..e..s..s" The rest of the recording was full of Martina's screams... it was clear she hadn't ended quickly like Martin had and before long the recording cut out. Fionna stood blank tears falling from her eyes. All of the others sat silently.
"...Fi.."
"She died. I just heard her die. She just told me she loves me... that me, her, Finn and Martin could have been a family.. then she told me to hate her and then she died... why?"
"To protect you Fionna.. and you're home.." Marshall said holding her.
"...That's what Lumen said.." The group looked at her stunned. Just as she said that they heard the door open and Isabella, Marcy and Lumen walk in. Half of the group looked at Lumen confused as they had never seen him with he's powers not working and also wearing Marcy's clothes.
"Lu...Lumen.." Fionna stared at him horrified. She ran upstairs unable to face him.
"Dude why are you here?" Marshall asked annoyed.
"She needs to know that it's my fault it happened Marshall.."
"Yes she does but we could have told her.. Why did you have to come... now of all times.."
"..She heard the message then?"
"Wait.. YOU DID KNOW!" Bonnie yelled surprised.
"Yes.."
"How! How would you know that was there?..."
"...Ghost told me.."
"Ghost?"
"Hello friends of the Prince, My name is Ghost Dusk and I am the Light entity that exists within the Crown of the Shade Kingdom." Everyone but Finn looked around the room confused.
"I have no physical form I am just a voice I'm afraid although it appears that all of you par the Human boy can hear me... it must be the gem's within your crowns and the demonic power in the Abadeer's..." Ghost said the last word with a bit of spite that was quite apparent.
"So wait... the voice Lumen hears... can now be heard by all of us?" Marshall asked confused.
"Yes, anyone with similar power or a significant power source, for example if you were to get the boy to hold his sword I believe he could hear me as well."
"Yo Finn quickly get your sword out." Finn obeyed quickly but didn't really understand what was happening.
"Finn the Human Prince can you now hear my voice?" Finn leapt up surprised and looked round the room.
"Guys... there's a voice in my head... what the junk..."
"Once again I am Ghost the voice of Lumen's powers so to say... now please hush down I will explain so you stop being so disrespectful to my Prince." Everyone was a bit shocked.. after all out of all the royals in the room aside from Finn who had only recently been made a Prince Lumen was the one everyone just treated like a normal guy and not as a Prince.
"Due to my power being related to the light and the dark and now being linked to the Prince's I am able to hear the voices of all of the other relics that still exist. I also am able to hear things others wouldn't. When the darkness realised he could not reach Ooo he set his sights back onto Aaa and he was on his way there... It was the one who originally heard Martina's Message... Because it holds onto the relics it has gather I was able to hear through it... I relayed the message to Lumen who realised that the Princess of Light would need something to be able to not only survive the death of her mother but the trauma the message carries... So he decided to try to bait out her powers... like the fool he is he ended up in danger and had to be saved. None the less... My prince has managed to draw the power to seal the darkness out of the human girl... however he also managed to get his own powers sealed away."
"Wait... Lumen you can't use your powers?"
"Nope.. Just a Human with no tricks or stuff.. so like... the weakest one here" Lumen chuckled and then was thrown across the room when Marshall punched him. Everyone moved to see if he was alright then stared at Marshall.
"Just checking?... Dude's been doing secretive stuff lately and I did owe him one.." He said nonchalantly. Marceline shot him a dirty look but he just winked back.
"What is wrong with you Vampires... first you have his scary wife and now that one hitting him Have you no respect!" Ghost's voice rang out bringing the room to silence.
"...His scary wife?" Marceline asked amused.
"Yes you the thief who once stole the royal crown with your wizard boyfriend and friends.. You are also rude and violent and have struck the Prince on various occasions and frankly I find it remarkable that the Prince would find any redeemable features in you."
Silence fell into the room as they all stared at Lumen who the voice was coming from. Marceline's anger could be felt quite clearly throughout.
"Violent! RUDE! and A THIEF!? Get your facts straight I've never even been to the Shade Kingdom! so how would I have stolen the crown.. stolen you! and What Lumen sees in me is none of your business you worthless piece of junk!" She argued back.
"You wouldn't remember since your memories were taken... although that seems to be a frequent thing for you! I am NO worthless piece of JUNK I am a proud and significant heirloom to the Shade Kingdom, A relic from before time and before you. Also I am the Prince's adviser so who he dates and wishes to propose to are of my concern" (Lumen face palmed himself as everyone once again stared at him. "Now you may have woo'd the Prince with your body and devil doesn't care personality and he may see you as someone who wears a shell but is vulnerable really so he feels he must protect you even from DEATH but you are not worth the Prince. END OF CONVE-." Ghost's voice was cut off as Lumen held his hand over the bracelet he tightened it on his wrist which stopped Ghost's voice appearing to others although in his mind the rant was still going on very strong.
Lumen stood up and walked out of the room and up the stair to find Fionna without a word to anyone. Everyone turned to Marcy to see her shaking with rage she flew out of the house slamming the door on the way. Finn, Bonnie and Bubba all went chasing after her.
"...Well you guys seem like you have enough going on..." Isabella said beginning to stand.
"Its cool Bells you can stay" Marshall slumped back down onto the sofa. "It's not your fault any of this is happening but dang I didn't think Lumen's crown dude would have such hate against Marceline..."
"Why did she let it bother her? She usually seems to not let anything affect her?"
"Marcy.. is quite insecure about her relationship... because of how much she looks up to Lumen..."
"My dork of a brother?"
"The dork of a brother who's like her knight in shinning armor... Saved her mum, her foster dad, her friends and her... Who is literally a guy made of light and stuff... she sometimes feels as the Vampire Queen whose half demon... she doesn't live up to that... she's always been insecure I guess though."
"She doesn't seem like the type to tell anyone that... even you?"
"You forget Bells your the only real twin here... Shes me and I'm her from different worlds... I know exactly how she feels."
"Do you not feel good enough for Fionna..."
"Well.. no.."
Elsewhere upstairs
"Fionna.. open the door please.."
"GO AWAY"
"Fionna just hear me out please.."
"Go Away Lumen... I don't deserve to hear you.."
"Your being a tad dramatic..."
"Go Away Now.."
"Fionna please.. I'm sorry for what I put you through.." He heard movement in the room and the door flung open, Fionna stood there crying. She had changed into a pair of pyjamas that he felt Marshall must have brought her because it was bright blue and covered in bats.
"What you put me through!? Are you joking? I ALMOST KILLED YOU!?"
"...but you didn't?" He tried to reason with a smile... he failed.
"STOP. stop joking, stop being all friendly and nice. You don't have to be with me I know what I did was wrong and I'll never forgive myself or expect you to forgive me... I know you're only doing this because your powers stop you feeling negative emotions... you don't even know if you really have forgiven me..."
"Ermm.. Fi.."
"What?"
"You sealed my powers... therefore.. I'm just a regular human like you? So trust me, I'm not being influenced.. I tried to get you to the point you would use your sealing but I did it when you were vulnerable... it's my fault..."
"How is it even when someone almost kills you and takes away your powers... your still so nice to them..."
"We're friend Fionna and I believe you wouldn't really have killed me..."
"Thank you and errmm... yeah... sure.."
"...you wouldn't right..."
"..Sorry.."
"Ahh never mind... anyway I think we should try to get my powers back.."
"Oh right yeah so how do we do that?"
"...I... don't know... was kinda hoping you'd just.. be like.. I really want him to have his powers back and then poof... there they are..." Lumen was a bit offended by the look of disappointment Fionna retorted with.
"You... You're kinda an idiot.. you know that right?" She laughed.
"Told you"
"Shut up Ghost." Lumen replied in his mind. "Well I know it sounds dumb but just try it. Think about how much you want me to have my powers back, you need to really want it."
"You think it's going to be that simple?"
"What would it hurt to try?"
"Okay..." Fionna closed her eyes and tried to focus on Lumen, in her mind she could see her mum, the blood splashed on the muddy ground as the rain washed away... and then she saw her mum laying next to it. Her eyes shot open as Lumen watched worried. She looked at her hands and noticed they had gone pale. She closed her eyes again and remembered the words her mum had said "I do love you.. I do.. you will always be my precious baby girl Fionna..". All of a sudden the blood, mud and rain were gone and instead she saw her mum in front of her smiling. She saw her walk away into a light to stand beside the silhouette of a man. The two disappeared and with them the light. She opened her eyes and looked at Lumen.
The hair on his head had started to lose all of its colour and go pale white and then as if someone had flipped a switch half of his hair went black and half white. His pupils turned black and his skin gray. His overcoat reappeared on him too.
"...Your... gray?" Fionna said speechless. Lumen looked at his hands and focused, his skin began to regain colour back to a pink hue and his eyes turned back to blue.

"I never knew that... you sorta look like Marcy with that skin..."

"But you've got your powers back!" Fionna cheered.
"Yes, thanks to you... you looked like you were about to faint for a minute but then you actually began to glow..."
"I started to glow?"
"Yeah and then that light flew into me... I guess that must of been my powers coming back.."
"Yeah..." Fionna thought about her Mum walking to meet the man in the light. She seemed happy to be reunited.. Somehow she wanted to believe that was her Dad.
Fionna ran downstairs to go see Marshall and tell him the good news leaving Lumen standing in the room.
"My Prince... I have bad news..."
"You are terrible for timing you know that right..."
"When she sealed your powers... she sealed my connection to the other relics... Now that it's back I know where the darkness is heading..."
"Where? He can't come here for another month or two thanks to Martin's bubble...?"
"You don't understand.. He can't come here but it doesn't mean he can't affect here... the second trial is about to start... and I'm afraid it's going to be a battle of relics..."
"I don't get what you mean? and how soon...?"
"The relic's the darkness has been gathering... It's corrupted them.. twisted them to it's whim.. they're no longer relics of light... but darkness."
"How long Ghost.?"
"My best guess... the most time you have left until the second trial begins... is a week and I think we also have another problem..."
"What is it?"
"When Fionna sealed you're powers they were absorbed into her... if she is to do that to the darkness... what happens to the baby she is carrying...?"
"...What do you think would happen...?"
"Best case scenario... The baby would die..."
"THAT'S THE BEST CASE... WHAT'S THE WORST!?"
"The baby would be a vessel for the darkness... He would be born with a strong physical body with both his own powers and Marshall's powers... which allows him to absorbs the powers of those he defeats... It could lead to the darkness.. gaining all of our powers.. and making him unstoppable..."
"Oh... fuck."
A/N: And thus ends Part 36, What will the group do knowing that the Darkness is coming back and the second Trial shall soon begin. What will the group do about the corrupted relics and also about the knowledge knowing that Lady is destined to die in the coming days.
