Emily POV
"Em , movies night at Spencer's . Wanna join tonight ?" Hanna asks me .
"I don't think so . I got something to do . You guys have fun ." I decline politely .
"Are you sure ?" Spencer turns to asks me .
"Yeah . You all go ahead ." I reply .
"Fine but if you change your mind , just come over ." Spencer says .
Aria's House
Evening
"This is not right . What the hell is he thinking when he decided to start dating our daughter . Our 16 years old daughter ." Byron says . Aria overheard her mom and dad discussion in the kitchen .
"We should stop blaming Ezra and find out why this thing happened ." Ella reply .
"No , I will never stop blaming him . It is his fault . He's an adult . He supposed to prevent all this thing from happened . He knows better . He's ruining his own career ."
"We taught our daughter what's right and what's wrong . We can't just put the blame on Ezra . I'm here still trying to understand why Aria did this ." Ella says .
"She's not mature enough to think about the consequences . But Ezra is ." Byron reply .
"But some mature people knows that what he did is wrong and ..."
"Excuse me ? What are you trying to say ?" Byron cut off .
"I'm sorry , I didn't mean to brought it up but since you already mention ..."
"No , no , no . Don't go there ." Byron cut off again .
"You had an affair with one of your student ." Ella says .
"It has nothing to do with the problem we're facing right now !" Byron stand up and shook his head .
"You 100% sure ? She's there . Aria was there to watch you cheated on me . You even asks her to keep it as a secret which is torturing her and I wonder if that thing is effecting her right now ." Ella also stand up .
"So what ? You want to say this is the price I have to pay for my mistake ? That this is my fault ?" Byron shouts .
"No one says that this is your fault ! What I want to say here is , she has been through a lot . And maybe Ezra was there when she need us ." Ella explained .
Everything turns awkward when Aria walk into the kitchen .
"Ezra got fired . From Hollis ." Aria open the fridge . Both of her parents didn't say anything . Aria grabbed an apple . She turn around and look at her mom and dad .
"This thing have nothing to do with dad's affair . I'm just ... Love . Him . I know I maybe too young to talk about love . But I love Ezra . And I thought you all will like him ... after all he's no longer my teacher ."
"He work so hard to get that job at Hollis because he didn't want to be my teacher anymore . He wants to be the person that I'm in love with ." Aria added . Aria look at her parents .
"Got to go . Movies night at Spencer's ." Aria walk away .
"Aria . You forgot your phone ." Ella give the cell phone to Aria while Byron just watch silently .
"There's no good keeping her phone ." Ella says after make sure Aria already left .
"She still know that Ezra got fired even when we keep her phone away ." Byron reply .
"You made him got fired from Hollis ?" Ella wrapped her hands around her body and stares at Byron .
"What ? I'm not on the board ." Byron denies . Ella just stares at him again .
"I may have says something to Mr. Clarke . That's all ." Byron says .
"And he got fired soon after that . What the hell do you think ? Aria has a reason to hate us even more ." Ella says .
"Aria doesn't hate us . She just ... confused ." Byron reply .
"Ezra Fitz used to be my colleague . He's a good teacher ." Ella says
"And that's why I can rationally see him . You and Aria both involved with him before this and that's make your judgement blurry ." Byron defend himself .
"We need to see him as Ezra Fitz . Not as Aria's teacher anymore ." Ella reply .
"Seriously ?" Byron didn't believe what he just heard .
"To be honest , I'm okay with Ezra . As long as he's no longer Aria's teacher , I'm okay ." Ella look at Byron .
"He's irresponsible . He got so many .. too many chances to tell us the truth but he didn't . He lie to us . And he made Aria lie to us . If I didn't caught them that night , we probably still don't know about this ." Byron says sternly .
"This is why they didn't want to tell us . Look , people make mistakes . We make mistakes . Let's just give them a chance ." Ella reply .
Spencer's Barn
"Thank god I'm here and don't need to stuck in my house listening to my parents arguing about me and Ezra in the kitchen ." Aria put her bag down .
"Rough conversation , huh ?" Spencer asks .
"Very rough ." Aria reply shortly .
"It feels weird that Emily is not here ." Hanna look at the empty couch next to her .
"You think she's already get over Paige ?" Aria asks .
"She just need some times ." Spencer look at the tv screen .
"I think she looks ugly and miserable ." Hanna says .
"Who ? Emily ?" Both Aria and Spencer ask at the same time .
"No . The actress in this movie ." Hanna reply .
