Not Responsible

The blame game, even as adults we still play it over and over again. Never taking responsibility and thinking that we might be the ones to blame. We pass it off to someone else. We find that we point the finger at them and away from ourselves. We go back and forth trying to shrug off the responsibility that is placed on us.

"So I got this meeting together so all of us could come together and figure out a plan to raise this baby." Callie said as she rubbed her belly that was still pretty flat. She knew that it would be a challenge to raise a baby with one person let alone two all with very different opinions.

'Good idea, I just want to say that I think the baby should stay with me and Callie until he or she is old enough to be away from Callie for long period of time." Arizona was the first one to voice her opinion on this. She it had taken her a while to warm up to the idea of having a baby with Mark and Callie but now that she was on board there was no way she was going to let anything happen to this baby.

"I don't think that is fair at all. It could take months for the baby to be ready to be away from Callie." Mark said, no one was going to keep him away from his kid. There had been too many times that the thought of a baby or a family was ripped away from him. Mark wasn't going to let this happen to him again.

"What about we take turns? Mark you can stay over every other night or something that way you can see the baby without he or she having to be away from me." Callie suggested, this was going to be harder than she thought. Arizona and Mark could barely stand each other without a baby that they would both be parenting getting involved.

GREY'S ANATOMY

"Alex come here.' Izzie told him once she stepped out of the OR. She had paged Alex in the middle of her surgery to meet her outside when it was over. Alex's first thought was that something was wrong.

"What is it? Why did you page me?" Alex questioned wanting to get to the bottom of this as fast as he could. He hoped that it was nothing bad, all the worst possibilities were filling his head.

"Give me your hand." Izzie instructed him, before Alex could protest Izzie placed him hand on her growing belly and waited for him to realize what was going on.

"Did the baby just kick?" Alex asked after he felt something press against him hand. This was amazing, sure he had seen the ultrasounds but this made it real, this made the baby real.

"The kicking started in the middle of the surgery. At first I thought that something was wrong but then it hit me. My baby is kicking." Izzie smiled as Alex moved his hand all over her belly trying to get the baby to kick again. This was it, they were going to be parents.

"Hey Iz I heard Alex talking about the baby kicking that's great." Meredith smiled and sat down in the cafeteria next to Izzie for lunch. She was trying so hard not to be angry at Callie or Izzie after all it wasn't their fault that she wasn't getting pregnant.

"Do you want to feel? Here give me your hand.' Izzie said not waiting for Meredith to say anything; instead she just placed her hand on the spot where the baby was currently kicking. It was hard for Meredith not to break down. She wanted to badly to be the one who had the kicking baby in her belly.

"That's amazing." Meredith was in a trace by the movement going on under her hand. She looked up at Izzie smiling; maybe there was hope for her after all.

'So are you and McDreamy planning on adding some Mcbabies any time soon?" Izzie asked her not knowing that Meredith and Derek had been trying for quite some time without any luck.

'Actually we have been trying for a long time. I have been doing the drugs to see if that will help." Meredith said choosing not to mention that the drugs were making her vision blurry a least not yet. Her egg was about to drop and then her vision would be back right?

"Oh Mer I didn't know. Well I'm sure that it will work. If there's anyone who would b a great mom it's you.' Izzie said before she had to go check on her patient. Now she felt so bad that she always talked about the baby in front of Meredith when her friend wanted a baby so badly.

"So I'm thinking about putting the bathroom over here and the living room there." Derek said pointing around to different spots on his land. Soon enough they would be able to start building the house that both he and Meredith dreamed of. Although she wasn't much help when it came to planning the house.

"I agree but you should make the living room over here since you have this amazing view." Mark said pointing to the area where the house would look out over the city. He was happy for Derek, after years of putting this off he was finally outing everything into action.

"I agree with Sloan. You want to use the land as best as you can especially when it comes to the views you have." Owen told him, it seemed like everyone's lives were finally on the right track, things were looking up. Things were falling in all the right places.

GREY'S ANATOMY

"Now I will tell you this and only once. If you two are still together by this afternoon I will give the lungs to someone else. These lungs are a gift and if you two can't see that then I will find someone who does." Teddy told a patient who was in line for a lung transplant since he had cystic fibrosis. Little did anyone know that he was dating someone with the same disease as him. After Teddy found out she threatened to take the lungs away because two people with cystic fibrosis were not allowed to be more than three feet close to another person with the same illness.

"Can we at least think about it?" The girlfriend asked, this was a lot to deal with all at once. They both had to choose between life or love and it was a choice that no one should have to make.

"I can't believe that they were lying to us the whole time." Jackson said to both Lexie and Teddy, he didn't understand that they were doing because he needed these lungs and this might be his only chance.

'I'll talk to the girlfriend." Lexie said after they got the news that he was going to have the lungs after all. Lexie had a feeling though that the girlfriend was still nearby while the man she loved was under the knife.

GREY'S ANATOMY

"Mrs. Webber what are you doing back again so soon?" Owen asked when he saw that Adele was back in his ER with a variety of cuts all over her.

"I fell in the supermarket on a display of pickle jars. Silly me I guess." Adele explained while he husband rushed off to find Derek since it was time for his shift to start.

"Well let's get you all stitched up and back to your old self." Owen said but in the back of his mind he knew that something was off with Adele but Owen knew that it wasn't his place to say anything about it.

"Derek I need a favour, I think there is something wrong with Adele and AI want her on your trail.' Richard knew that this was a lot to be asking of Derek but he hoped that he would do this for Adele.

'Richard we don't even know if Adele qualifies for the trail let alone of she even wants to do it. Can I ask you if Adele even has Alzheimer's?" Derek questioned knowing that Richard might be over reacting when it came to matters that involved his wife.

"Well then let's get her tested and on the trail then." Richard said, he knew the signs of this disease. He had seen the same signs in Ellis before things got really bad.

"Richard I wish there was something I could do but even if Adele has Alzheimer's there is no way she could get on the trail. Even the waiting list is full." Derek hated to be the bad guy but there were other families, other stories that needed his help too not just Richard and Adele.

GREY'S ANATOMY

"Thank God that this guy is leaving in the morning. I don't think I could handle another day with him here." Cristina said after her and Bailey just finished working on a patient who was convinced that he had every disease known to man.

'I'm with you on that one Yang. I guess some people are scared of the unknown. In medicine there is a bunch of unknown." Bailey said to her former intern. It was so bittersweet to see the interns who she thought of as her kids growing up and dealing with patient in their own way.

GREY'S ANATOMY

"April I need your help.' Meredith said to April pulling her into an exam room where April could take a look at her eyes. This burly vision was getting too much for Meredith to deal with, how was she supposed to operate if she couldn't see anything.

'I really don't know what I'm looking for. Do you know what's causing this?" April asked after Looking at Meredith's eyes. Even though Meredith told her not to April paged Derek down just in case it was something serious.

"I think it's the baby drugs. What you paged Derek?" Meredith yelled at April as Derek walked into the room. This was the last thing she needed. Her egg was about to drop she couldn't stop the drugs right now.

"Meredith you have to stop doing the drugs or else the burly vision could be permanent. You know this stuff." Derek told her as they hugged, he knew how badly Meredith wanted a baby because he wanted one just as bad.

GREY'S ANATOMY

"I thought I might find you out here." Lexie said after spotting the patient's girlfriend outside of the hospital.

'Are you going to tell Dr. Altman that I'm here?" The girlfriend asked, she knew that it was best if she left she really did but it was harder than she thought.

"No because I know that you'll leave. Trust me I get that you think he's the one. But if you love him as much as I think you do, you'll leave. You love him enough to give him a life, you love him enough to give him these lungs, you love him enough to not be the reason why he dies. You do know that you're killing him? You're killing him if you stay." Lexie said, she knew how hard it was to get over a guy you thought you would be spending the rest of your life with.

"Promise me you'll tell him one thing. Tell him he has to try to find someone else. Really try and find someone because he needs someone." The girlfriend asked before she got her stuff and left not turning back to see if Lexie would promise or not.

GREY' ANATOMY

We have to remember that whenever we point to someone else there are three other fingers pointing back at us. It's funny to think that the word blame actually contains the word me in it. Blame it's a game we still play time after time. But when do we know it's time to put down the fingers and take on the responsibility that we try to run away from.
