Dominique Weasley finished brushing their hair and wandered out to the Ravenclaw common room. Most people were outside - it was an especially nice afternoon after a long winter. Dominique waved to a group of first years and stopped at the puzzle tables under the window. After adding a few pieces to the puzzle, and making the next move on the chessboard, they left the common room - ready for today's mission.

They wandered down through the castle, dodging some of the commonly trafficked areas. This had all started at the beginning of the week, when they'd found a note near one of the troll statues. They'd read it, and it hadn't made any sense until they started concentrating less on what was written, and more on how it was written. Most Ravenclaws could decode a cypher in fifteen minutes or so, but Dominique was on the elite squad and could usually get it in five. It took them a whole hour - and they had to send a Patronus to Grampa Weasley to ask about a Muggle movie called The Pagemaster. Whoever the writer was, they were brilliant, and Dominique had to meet them.

The coded note had instructions. Dominique had sent up the blue sparks on Monday, and had conjured roses on the specified banister on Wednesday. Now, it was Friday, and they were finally going to get to meet the mystery writer.

They reached the door to the Room of Lost Wands, and pushed it open.

A girl in Slytherin robes turned to face them. "Hey," she said.

"Hey," Dominique replied.

"I wondered who had found it," she said. "I meant to leave it for...well, doesn't matter now. When I saw your signs, I knew I wanted to meet you. You're good."

"You're better," Dominique said, smiling. "It took me a whole hour to figure out the code. I'm Dom Weasley."

"Devyn Zabini. Nice to meet you, Dom."
