A series of explosions rattled the arena. Russel Trush of team CRDL ran into an open area near the mountain area and took a stance. Penny simply smiled, readying her swords as her partner, who personally gives me the vibe of being a TOTAL bitch, by the way, stood on the sidelines with her arms crossed. Penny stylishly spun the swords before flinging them at Russel, who ducked behind a rock, which the swords sunk into. She then spun a few more swords before sending them at Sky Lark, who managed to vault behind another rock using his halberd. As the two cowards hid behind a rock, Penny smiled at her teammate, who merely responded with tapping her watch, pretty much telling her to wrap it up. "My vibes never steer me wrong. What a bitch. I never tell you guys to hurry up. I let you deal with your enemies at your own pace." I said.

"Yeah! Who does she think she is, telling Penny to hurry up when she's not even doing anything!" Draco agreed.

"Total bitch." Damion agreed.

"And she doesn't even serve ANY importance to the plot for the rest of the volume." Nicolas criticized.

"We don't even see her again after like 5 minutes into this episode." I agreed.

Penny frowned at her teammate's lack of enthusiasm, but then smirked and raised her hands, lifting the swords, the rocks and the two pathetic students clinging to them for dear life, before crashing them into the ground and knocking them both out. "And victory goes to Penny and Ciel of Atlas!" Oobleck announced.

"I would've solely given the victory to Penny." I said.

Damion sighed. "You have many, MANY faults as a leader," He started.

"Ouch." I said.

"But I have to admit, at least you give credit where its due and if you don't do anything, you don't say you do." He finished.

"Thanks... I think." I said.

"Thank you for a wonderful time." Penny said politely before her and Ciel walked off. Russel raised his hand as if to say or do something, but a rock came back down and hit him in the head, knocking him out.

"Clean up on aisle 12." Draco said as we walked up and dragged the two dopes back to the medical station.

Damion noticed Ruby take off to go after Penny. "You gonna go with them for sake of plot?" He asked.

"Hell no. I'll leave that for Serena in Team SUSN. Me and Draco gotta mop the floor with our opponents next." I said.

"Hell yeah! Ooh-ooh!" He cheered, drawing his claws.

Sure enough, the randomizer chose us first, then two students from Mistral. "And the results are in! Sai Blade and Draco Bloodgrave from Beacon vs. Brandon Charbonneau and Simin Megistus from Mistral!"

We walked onto the stage slowly and dramatically on the right side as they did from the left, both of them about our height. Brandon almost could've passed for Roman Torchwick's son, if he had red hair, but it was black, his eye orange. He certainly dressed like a stereotypical mobster (I.E like Roman), wearing a black fedora with a black feather in it, a black vest with orange lining and that split tail thing in the back, a black bow tie, an orange shirt with black buttons under the vest, black and gray elbow-length gloves, then simple black pants and shoes. In his hand, he carried a big-ass pistol with a scythe-like blade under it.

Simin was a tad more colorful, fuchsia hair, dark purple eyes similar to my brother Lance's right eye. He wore black pants, shin high black and gray boots and an interesting coat with black, white and a few different shades of gray in it. But what confused me was, as far as I could see, he didn't have any weapon on him. (These characters belong to Mark Zhang on YouTube, check out the "Charcoal" and "Silver" RWBY trailers on YouTube. I highly recommend them).

"So, you were two of the people fighting team EVAD in the Team's round. Very impressive. I'll have to start off strong from the beginning." Brandon said, extending the scythe blade and turning it into what looked somewhat like an upside-down katana with deep curve at the end.

"Your team was quite impressive, too. Team SYRA (shouts out to Bloodrosalia (sorry if I missed Caps or anything) on Deviantart) are tough customers, but you and your team pulled through easily. I'll have to step my game up, too. It's the perfect time to test these babies." I said, pulling out Lethalshot and Bloodfall, my two chainsaw katanas that double as shotguns. Weiss shuddered as I pulled them out, as she now has a phobia of chainsaws after the train incident.

"Nice coat." Draco said to Simin.

"Thanks. Nice mask." Simin returned a compliment.

As we finished our chat, the arena finished and two platforms were now made into our battlefield. The geysers and the lava pits. "Alright, enough talk, now we fight." Brandon said as we all took our stances.

"Begin!" Port announced.

"Last One Standing" by Simple Plan

Brandon and I rushed straight at each other while Draco fired at Simin, who jumped back a few yards with each jump until he was in the geyser area, Draco rushing after him. I met Brandon in the middle of the ring and we clashed our weapons, creating a shockwave. We had a brief struggle to try and push each other back, but we quickly noticed a lava jet beneath us boiling up to erupt and quickly pushed against each other and jumped back as it exploded, alert and ready for the eruption to stop. As soon as it did, we both lunged.

Brandon swung his sword down at me, but I blocked with with Bloodfall (the one in my right hand), then quickly spun in a circle, crouching slightly and swinging Lethalshot at his stomach, but he jumped back and we fired at each other. He grunted as the pellets hit him, but was barely staggered, whereas his bullets significantly slowed me down, knocking me off balance by hitting me in the left shoulder and bringing me down on my right knee as he hit me in the right side of the hip. He smirked and rushed in, jumping and swinging downwards, but I recovered and blocked with both swords. He again tried to force me back/down, but I used this to my advantage, leaning back and kicking him in the stomach, forcing him back and doubling him over, holding his stomach and glaring at me as I got up.

While this was happening, Draco smirked as he reached the geyser area where Simin waited for him. "Well, looks like the end of the road. Next time, make sure to bring a weapon to the fight!" He said, rushing in, claws ready to strike.

Simin smirked at this. "I didn't." He said. Then, the dust chamber on the back of his jacket switched from neutral to blue, an icy blue taking the place of the white lines running down the jacket's arms. Suddenly, two strange, hard to describe swords of ice appeared in his hands, allowing him to lock weapons with Draco and block his attacks as the blood demon looked in shock at the two swords that appeared in his opponent's hands.

There was a small pause before. "Oh." Draco said. Simin then wheeled his arms and pushing Draco's outward to leave him open, but he jumped back. Simin then rushed in and struck rapidly as Draco struggled to block. Draco retaliated and swiped at his head, but he ducked and swung both swords upward, pretty much uppercutting Draco with them and knocking him into the air, allowing him to do a spinning/jumping rear kick to knock Draco away.

"Oh, shit! I fucked with the wrong one!" Draco said, rolling back as Simin went for another strike and unleashing another barrage of bullets, but Simin created a shield and blocked them all as he rushed in. "Okay, that's it! RANDOM-ASS DEATH SPIN!" Draco said, unleashing one of his most deadly attacks, spinning in a circle with his claws out, managing to knock away Simin's arm as he tried to block, resulting in him getting a number of cuts across the chest and head before Draco delivered a powerful kick, knocking him back over and onto one of the geysers, sending him into the air, which Draco used to his advantage, jumping into the air, grabbing Simin and throwing him back down to the ground. Draco landed on the ground as Simin got back up, still capable of continuing. "It seems we are evenly matched." Draco said dramatically.

"Looks like it. That just means we have to kick it up a notch." Simin agreed, tossing the ice weapons away and dialing his jacket to the red gauge, fire dust running through the sleeves and allowing him to create a giant flamberge (curvy like fire) sword.

"Wow! Those guys are really good!" Ruby said in awe.

"It's both surprising and DELIGHTFUL to see Sai and Draco struggling like this in battle." Weiss said with a smirk.

"Hate you, too, Weiss!" I said, blocking bullets with my swords.

"They might be good, but they ain't got nothing on your brother, Serena." Umbra said.

"Y-yeah! After team EVAD, there shouldn't be anyone they can't beat... Right?" Naomi asked.

"I wouldn't be too sure." Selene said, looking closely.

"Yeah..." Serena said worriedly, realizing the problem as well.

Damion watched with a scowl on the sidelines. "Sai's wearing down too fast. He's using too much stamina all at once and we all know that's something he doesn't have enough of in the long run." He said.

"They're doomed! DOOOOOOOOOOOMED!" Nicolas shouted.

Damion sighed at this. "Calm down! For what He lacks in stamina, he makes up for in speed and power. Besides, Draco's still in great condition. As long as he's not an idiot, they can still do this." He said.

"Whew... Maybe Damion was right, I should've had a couple protein bars instead of Chocolate Chip Waffles for breakfast this morning." I said, panting a bit before popping back out from behind the rocks I was using as cover, firing a few shots and rushing in, using a low spinning attack to stagger Brandon before delivering a powerful kick to the side of his head, sending him sprawling across the ground and almost out of the ring, but he managed to stop himself with his sword.

"Playtime is over." He said, the blade of his sword turning orange, using fire dust to massive raise its temperature.

"Fine by me." I said, hitting the button behind the triggers of my weapons, starting up the motor and making the chain start moving, increasing their power by 4.

The two of us ran in again and slammed our weapons together and this time, with a little extra effort, I knocked him back a few paces and rip his weapon from his grasp and out of bounds, slamming Bloodfall into the ground beside me and swinging it forward, ripping up some of the ground and flinging it into his face, hitting him and stunning him long enough for me to rush in with a double cross slash (basically swinging the swords back and forth like an X in front of me), knocking him back into a rock column behind him turning the weapons into shotguns and putting them up to his chest. "Boom." I say, blasting him through the rock pillar, knocking him out.

"Oh! A devastating 2 for 1 special! Bradon Charbonneau has been eliminated by knock out at the same time as Draco Bloodgrave!" Port announced.

"What?!" I asked, looking over to see Draco's unconscious body at Simin's feet.

While I was fighting Brandon...

"I'll kick it up 10 notches!" Draco said, firing as he rushed in, Simin spinning the sword in front of him to stop the bullets and trapping Draco's claws between them as he lunged with both of them. He then spun, freeing the sword from Draco's claws and pulling Draco off-balance, allowing Simin to uppercut him with the sword, sending him flying back a good distance. "Okay, now I'm pissed!" He snapped, rushing in again. Simin simply smirked and switched to his... dammit, I can't illiterate anymore! He switched to the ble dust, creating a single ice sword, but then quickly switched to red, causing the ice sword to glow red around the outside before slamming it into the ground, creating a huge cloud of fog, which Draco rushed into before he could stop himself. "What the?! Where'd you go?!" He demanded.

"Right here!" Simin said through the fog. Suddenly, Draco heard a wooshing noise, followed quickly by pain in his side as Simin dashed past him and struck.

"Ah! You bastard!" Draco snapped. This was repeated 3 more times before Draco finally had enough. "Okay, try this!" He said, slamming his hand on the ground and unleashing a massive puddle of blood.

"Whoa!" Simin exclaimed as he slipped on it.

"Haha! Take that! Been waiting to bust this baby out!" Draco said, revealing a hatch on his gauntlets behind the uzi parts, firing missiles and blasting Simin even further away, stopping just before a geyser spout. "Aww! Just BARELY under the mark!" He said.

"Not bad. But that's the last move you're getting." Simin said, turning to the green dust on his jacket, creating what looked to be a mix of a Rook from Chess and a javelin, flinging it at Draco's feet and sweeping him up in a massive whirlwind. Simin then powered his aura to his legs for a massive jump to the top of the tornado and created another flamore (flame claymore, I'm a gods-damn genius!) and flung it down into Draco, sending him crashing to the ground.

"Ugh... Sai... They done killed ol' Draco..." He groaned weakly.

"Not yet!" Simin said, creating another flamore to plant his feet on and dive down at high speeds, switching to the brown diode on his jacket and creating an earth gauntlet on his right hand and slammed it into Draco's face, depleting his aura and knocking him out.

"Oh! A devastating 2 for 1 special! Bradon Charbonneau has been eliminated by knock out at the same time as Draco Bloodgrave!" Port announced.

"What?!" I asked, looking over to see Draco's unconscious body at Simin's feet (before anyone says I repeated this in the comments, it was intentional).

Simin smirked as I looked up at him after looking at Draco. "I gotta admit, he was tough. He surprised me with those missiles, too. But in the end, my coat was the bigger surprise." He said.

I looked at him seriously for a moment, before glancing away for a second and looking back at him with my own smirk. "Maybe. But his efforts were not in vain. I may be a little tired, but my aura still stands comfortably at 60%, but you my friend, are down to only 25%." I said, pointing to the scoreboard. He looked and was shocked to find he was in the low yellow and I was just above that point.

He nodded in realization for a moment before turning back. "Alright, not bad. But there's an old saying I like: 'it ain't over til it's over.'" He said.

"One of my favorites." I said, narrowing my eyes and preparing for the final act.

He changed to the green dust and threw another javelin to create another tornado, but I again slammed my weapons into the ground to anchor myself in place and ride it out. The force of the winds and the rocks it kicked up hit me and lowered my aura little by little, but I endured through it all until the winds subsided, before rushing in, spinning and catching his back with Lethalshot, lifting him off the ground, resting his back on the still-moving chain of the blade and putting Bloodfall in shotgun form the the back of his head. "It's over." I said, pulling the trigger, causing him to do 2 and a half front flips before landing on his back next to Brandon, the bell going off.

End music

"Incredible! This is one for the record books, sports fans! An incredibly close match that ended in a narrow, but well-earned victory for Sai and Draco of Beacon!" Port announced.

"Yes, simply astounding! Two of our top first year students pulling out an amazing win right out from under the feet of two of Mistral's finest students!" Oobleck agreed.

I smirked at this, before rushing to Draco's side as Damion and Nicolas checked on Brandon and Simin. "Hey. Draco. Talk to me. You alright?" I asked, shaking him a bit and back into consciousness.

"Ugh... Sai. I ain't gonna make it. They done killed ol' Draco. My dying wish... Please... Tell Laura and Dimsom I love them!" He said.

I chuckled at this before pulling him upright into a sitting position. "Hey, come on. You're gonna be fine. Quit faking it, you drama queen." I said, trying to pull him to his feet, but he refused and tried to lay back down.

"No, I ain't gonna make it, I can't go any further!" He said dramatically.

"Come on, you've taken WAY worse than this." I said, pulling him back to his feet. "I got a 20 year old bottle of Whiskey to celebrate the victory, if you think you can make it until I grab it." I said.

He instantly perked up at this. "Aww, yeah! Let's celebrate!" He said.

I laughed at this. "After that, buddy, I think we both deserved it." I said.

"Hey, Draco, Sai." Brandon called after us.

"Yeah?" I asked, looking back.

"You did good out there. You have our respects." He said, tipping his hat to us.

"Yeah, we'd be happy to fight alongside you guys any time." Simin agreed.

"You definitely weren't easy opponents. You've got our respect as well." I said.

"Sai and Draco win! Friendship!" Draco said.
