Hello there and welcome to chapter 36, aka the second to last chapter! *sheds a tear* XD It's been another long break in between chapters, and once again I find myself feeling the need to dish out apologies and beg on my hands and knees and whatnot. Haha! XD

Anyway, this one isn't too long or crucial, but it kinda helps transition to the end of the story so I think it's at least a little bit important.

I hope you enjoy! :D

Chapter 36: A Step in the Right Direction

White was slowly pulled out of her slumber by a steadily pounding beat against her ear. She regained her senses slowly, her eyebrows lightly pinching in confusion as to what the sound was, before eventually deducing it must be a heartbeat. More specifically… Ghetsis' heartbeat. It was peaceful in a way.

Like a bullet, her memories of the past night suddenly flew back to her, shooting through her tranquility. She stilled completely, her head spinning as she struggled to remember what had happened. Had all of it been a dream? She'd proposed her teaching idea to Ghetsis and he'd agreed… that didn't seem like something that would happen in reality. He'd also proposed to her…Her thumb snaked around to feel her ring finger and when it found the cool metal of the Harmonian ring, it told her that yes, everything had indeed happened.

She swallowed, daring to open her eyes and peer out into the room. It was light already.

When she'd pictured waking up from her first night with Ghetsis, or even the first day knowing she was engaged to him, she'd had no idea how she would react. Most likely she'd predicted she would freak out a bit, maybe stare off into the distance in a trance for a few hours in shock, but honestly… it felt just like any other morning.

She'd apparently somehow become completely accustomed to the thought of being engaged to him. Maybe she was more adaptable than she'd given herself credit for. That or she'd thought about it so often that she'd desensitized herself to the idea.

As she heaved a sigh, a low chuckle joined her. "Finally awake, are we?"

Her eyes widened and she shifted her head on his chest to look up at him. He seemed half-asleep himself, smiling down at her with a look of complete contentedness. "Why? What time is it?"

Ghetsis blinked, rubbing one eye with a yawn. "Around noon. You were sleeping like a rock. I've been awake for quite a while honestly but watching you sleep so soundly made me a little drowsy again," he smiled.

Noon. It was already noon. Crap! Maybe it was the day after a very eventful night, but she had had no plans of taking the day off. Quite the opposite in fact. Ghetsis had agreed to her idea of turning Plasma into a training school, so no matter who was getting married, she had work to do.

In a blur she flew off of him and out of bed, letting out a surprised screech as she noticed she was still completely naked. That and her legs were noodles, weaker than a Caterpie as an aching pain spiraled down from her core. She unceremoniously plopped to the floor on her knees, snatching a blanket from the bed and pulling it around her in concealment.

It seemed she'd alarmed him as he sat up abruptly behind her. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice sounding a little panicked.

She blinked and waved a hand to tell him to hold on a second. She hadn't expected the morning after to feel like this. Sure, she'd heard it wasn't the most pleasant thing when it happened the first time, but… she thought the worst had been over with the past night.

She took a few steadying breaths. It made sense. He was a very dominating and rough man, even in the way he loved her so she wasn't surprised she'd be sore.

Okay. The pain she could deal with. It wasn't too bad, just sort of annoying and unnerving. She just needed to re-gain the use of her legs which seriously didn't want to move. She had a lot to do today.

Before they'd engaged in their little amorous activities the past night, she'd already made a pact with herself to get started on the school right away. She would need to work fast and diligently if she planned on it happening anytime soon. She had no idea how to open a school, let alone how to get people to enroll, but she figured her first stop would be Looker.

He wasn't the head of the Pokémon League, only the Police Department, but he owed her a ton, and even though he'd done more than she could thank him for the past day, letting Ghetsis off the hook purely by her own word, she hoped she could squeeze a few more favors out of him.

"Nothing's wrong," she answered Ghetsis finally, slowly lifting herself to her feet. "I just have a lot to do today, is all." She turned around to face him, her eyes widening before quickly squinching shut as she looked back to see he was completely naked as well. Any courage she'd had the past night was gone as a heated blush swept over her entire face and she turned on her heel to face the other direction.

She could almost feel his smirk. "Shame, I was hoping for round two."

He was kidding but she still gave him a quick glare over her shoulder before hobbling over to her bag on the floor and grabbing the pair of clothes inside that she'd planned for the day.

He watched her carefully, his smirk fading as she limped over to the bathroom, slipping inside and shutting the door.

Ghetsis wasn't surprised she was stiff, but he still felt a little guilty. He sighed, standing and stretching before going in search of clothes of his own.

Although he was curious about something… he'd sort of hoped for this day to be a relaxation day. He felt relieved, incredibly so, since he'd popped the question and she'd said yes. A gigantic weight had been lifted from his shoulders and he wanted to bask in the glory that was knowing White would be his Queen, and honestly he had sort of hoped to revisit their escapades from the past night. However it seemed she had other plans.

He pulled open the chest of drawers and cleared his throat. "White?"

"Yeah?" Her reply was muffled through the bathroom door. He hoped she wouldn't have too much troubles getting dressed… or even walking today for that matter.

"What are you in such a hurry for today?" He pulled out a white shirt, throwing it over his head.

"Oh!" She sounded chipper at the thought. "Well, honestly I wanted to get started on the training school as quickly as possible. It's gonna take a long time and a lot of hard work to make it happen, so I figured the earlier I started the better."

That's right. He'd agreed to that the past night. He ran a hand through his hair, sighing. She was an amazing girl, but he truly wondered if she could pull off something like that. Maybe she could convince Looker to take him off of the wanted list as long as she kept an eye on him, but could she convince the entire region that he was a good teacher. Not only that but could she actually pull in a class bigger than around two people?

The reality of it seemed a little farfetched, but if there was anyone who could pull it off, he knew it would be her. He had his doubts, but he wouldn't voice them. He knew she needed him to have faith in her, and so he would… even if he was skeptical.

But honestly the thing he was most worried about was his ability to teach. Could he seriously teach? White had a naturally nurturing and optimistic demeanor. She took joy in other's successes and embodied what a teacher should be. She was talented and kind. Perfect.

Him? Not so much. Sure, he knew he was the second most talented trainer in the region now, next to her. He'd beaten her once, after all, and their final battle had been close, so he figured they were somewhere on the same level. However, he wasn't nurturing. He didn't take joy in other's successes. N had been the only thing he'd taught and that turned out horribly. Granted, his mind had been a little- nay, a lot more corrupt than it was now, but still. He truly wondered if it was even possible for him to teach.

"Just tell me what you need me to do, White. I'll try to help you any way I can," he added, pulling on his slacks and putting his eyepiece back in place. Having blind faith in her was rough, but he could do it.

"Thank you," she sighed from inside the bathroom. He'd been right; she did need him to be as supportive as he could. She probably didn't want to go through it all alone; it'd be a lot of work for one person, after all. "But honestly right now what I need you to do is leave it to me," she finished with a giggle.

His entire posture slouched. Well, there went that idea… he guessed. Maybe she didn't need and/or want his support. He was sort of tired of leaving things to her, though. He was a hands-on person. He was always at the top, telling others what to do, and the act of sitting back and letting her take control was not only a completely foreign feeling, but also a little frustrating.

"Sweetheart, I'm going to help you. I can't sit back and watch. It's not within my capability." He sat down on the end of the bed, staring at the bathroom door with a frown.

There was a slight pause before he heard her sigh. "Trust me, this first part is probably better being done by only me. I do want your help, Ghetsis, just not now. Convincing the region, the League, everyone for that matter isn't going to be done by having you talk. It's going to be my job. They trust me… and while that's sort of scary, it's gotta work to our advantage."

He opened his mouth to protest, instead thinking better of it and grinding his teeth together in frustration. He couldn't deny that hearing her refer to them as a team, "our" advantage, was nice and a little reassuring, but still… he didn't know how much longer he could sit still and do nothing without going crazy.

She almost seemed to read his mind. With a snort she proposed, "You could start planning the wedding." He glared at the door as she continued to snicker at the thought.

"I'm not a wedding planner, White," he ground out. Even though he had changed somewhat, and he'd grown accustomed to the fact that he wouldn't be the leader of some world-dominating organization, instead trading it out for a calm and quiet life with her… he was still a Harmonian King, someone who couldn't sit back for that long, and someone who was definitely not cut out to plan a wedding.

She sighed, apparently overcoming her giggle-fest in the bathroom. "I know you're not. Honestly I was kinda kidding but Ghetsis… who planned your coronation ceremony?"

He stared at the door. "I-I did, sort of. It is the job of the Harmonian family to make sure the proper things are said and read during an event like that or I wouldn't have been a rightful king at all. The Sages and Grunts set it up though." Yes, his family had a long history, and for situations such as coronation, there were a very specific set of things he had to do in order to become the official king. But he'd be dipped if he'd plan a ceremony. Setting up tables, inviting people, making place setting cards, that was all below his level. Grunts did that. Not him. Not to mention it seemed trivial.

"Well wouldn't a wedding be sort of the same thing?" White asked. "I don't know what all goes on in your family but you seem to take it really seriously. If I'm going to become a Harmonia, a Queen no less, then I'm assuming there are some special things I have to do?" She sounded weary, like she'd been wondering what all would have to go down for her to become the Queen. Also like she'd been dreading it.

He had to admit she was right on point. It was indeed a big deal whenever someone was brought into the Harmonia family. Words from ancestors were read, passages from their history, White would have to memorize some specific lines of the Harmonian code and swear to certain standards to uphold. He was the only one who could set up that part… he was the only living Harmonia left, after all. N aside of course, but there was still no sign of him.

Without warning the bathroom door swung open, White standing in its wake, tying up her hair with an eyebrow raised. "Am I right, or am I wrong?" she asked.

He looked her up and down with a sigh. While he'd grown to like her traveling clothes, he'd found he much preferred her without any clothes at all the past night. "You're right," he grumbled. "There are some mandatory things to be done to bring you into the family, but that doesn't mean I'm going to plan a wedding for Arceus' sake." He had pride. Granted it was dwindling due to the many hits it'd been taking, but he still had his pride.

She smiled, straightening her ponytail and nodding towards him. "I know, once again I was kinda kidding. Truth is I don't really know how to plan something like that either, let alone a ceremony for crowning a new Queen." She made a face. It still felt weird to think of it. Her. A queen. She shivered.

The corner of his mouth twitched. "Lucky for us, I have people for that."

"People?" She raised an eyebrow, making her way to the door.

He briefly noticed she was walking better than before, although her gait was still a little slow and wobbly. He shoved off the bed to follow her. "Anthea and Concordia should be elated. I swear planning events is their favorite thing to do. Plus, the grunts are still around and ready to work."

White nodded, opening the door and pushing out into the hallway. Yes, weddings and events seemed right up Anthea and Concordia's alley.

"Where are you going?" Ghetsis asked as she turned down the hallway, her steps quickening as she neared the stairs.

She turned back. "Well I paged Looker and sent him this location's coordinates, telling him I needed to talk. I figured I'd start with him and work my way up, y'know, trying for the school." Great. She was already off on her way to start toward the school, leaving him in the dust again. She seemed to catch on, rolling her eyes. "Just because I said it would be best if I did some of this stuff on my own doesn't mean I don't want you there. In fact, I think it'd be good if you were there while I was talking with Looker."

He raised an eyebrow. "Really?" Wasn't that a complete one-eighty from what she'd been saying before.

"Yup, just leave the negotiating and talking and whatnot to me," she winked.

Oh. That's what she'd meant by leaving it to her. He could be there, but she was probably worried how Looker or anyone else would take it if he took the lead on proposing a battling institution. It made sense, and he guessed it was better than nothing. At least he'd have something to do.

Although White clapped happily when the doorbell rang to the castle, Ghetsis' stomach sank. It went against everything he knew to let the head of the Unovian police into his lair. He'd been under the radar for the first few years, raising N and perfecting his plan, but it wasn't long after that that Looker had caught onto him, even before he'd begun talking to the public.

Looker had always been suspicious. Even when Plasma was still under the fake goal of liberating Pokémon, Looker had given him suspecting glares out of the corner of his eye whenever they'd meet. And so even now, when his organization didn't exactly exist anymore, and only the day prior Looker had agreed to let him go as a free man, it felt completely wrong.

White skipped to the door and Ghetsis held back, shifting steadily farther away. What if this was all some sort of elaborate plan of Looker's? What if he'd tricked White into thinking he was fine with Ghetsis being off the wanted list when in all reality he was just lurking and waiting to arrest him? Ghetsis had always been a little paranoid, but not to this extent.

Ghetsis flinched when the door opened and he laid eyes on the man. Looker seemed as if he were a kid in a candy store, his mouth hanging open and his eyes wide as he looked inside the castle, craning his neck. Yes, the police had been after capturing Team Plasma for a long time now. They had found this castle once, although Ghetsis and the others, including White, had abandoned it. Looker undoubtedly still thought that this was a fake castle, and not the true base of the Team.

"Thanks for coming," White piped, standing to the side and motioning Looker in. Ghetsis flinched again as Looker robotically nodded, forcing his gaping mouth shut and slowly walking through the threshold. The door closed with an ominous thud behind the man. This just felt so wrong; he was literally letting the enemy inside of his abode. Of all the things he'd done for White, given up for her, adapted to, this one felt the worst.

"S-Sure," Looker nodded, slowly getting ahold of himself. "Although I do have many questions for you, White. Including why you called me…" He trailed off, his eyes locking with Ghetsis'. The two men silently stared at each other for a few quiet seconds, White looking back and forth between them before clearing her throat and capturing their attention.

"I called you because I have… something to discuss with you and a favor to ask." Looker raised an eyebrow toward her and she nodded. "I know, I know, I'm sorry, but hear me out on this one, okay?" She turned on her heel, motioning for both Looker and Ghetsis to follow as she began walking farther into the castle.

Ghetsis glared at Looker as the man continued to gawk, following White as his innards clenched in protest. Looker should not be in his castle, let alone being led further into it, to the dining room no less, which was where White was apparently taking them. It'd be a nice place to sit and talk but nothing seemed more horrible than having an outsider like Looker taking up residence in one of his chairs. It was disgusting just to think of it.

White danced to one of the dining chairs, her heart pounding in excited anticipation as she plopped down, nodding for Looker to join her.

He obliged, shuffling to the chair across from hers as Ghetsis joined White at her side, sitting rigidly in his chair and taking one of her hands underneath the table, squeezing it once in a silent gesture to tell her that he wasn't comfortable with this and to get it over with as soon as possible. It still felt entirely wrong to not be the one in charge, that coupled with having Looker as a guest at their table and Ghetsis wondered if he was stuck in some incredibly twisted dream.

She squeezed back, patting his knee in reassurance before smiling at Looker. "Seriously though, thanks for coming." She sounded genuine, which calmed Ghetsis in a way, knowing that this battling school really was something she wanted, and yet also made his lip want to curl in annoyance at her being so grateful to someone like Looker.

The head of the Police Department nodded, giving her a half smile. "Sure, I owe you big time, White. Least I can do is hear you out… but I do have to ask, is this really the Team Plasma castle?" He looked up above him at the high ceiling, domed in some places, as if he truly couldn't believe where he was.

"Yeah it is," White said, a hint of amusement in her tone.

"But-" Looker started but was cut off by Ghetsis.

"When we got word you had found us back then, we relocated for a bit. That's why you didn't find us." His voice came out loud and slightly irritated, although he had apparently anticipated Looker's question perfectly. Looker nodded and Ghetsis couldn't help but smirk, as the middle-aged man had flinched at the booming sound of his voice. It was nice to know he still commanded some attention and respect even though Plasma no longer existed.

White placed a hand on his thigh, squeezing once in a wordless warning to be careful what he said. He clenched his jaw, taking a deep and steadying breath, reminding himself not to let his own hatred and hesitance toward the man impede the creation of the school White wanted.

Everyone could feel the tension in the room between the two men. White hoped things would calm down and the air wouldn't be quite so electric once they began talking.

Looker cleared his throat, apparently having the same idea. "So about this favor, White?"

"Oh, right," she sighed, closing her eyes and hoping to Arceus she could somehow get the right words to come out. "So I know you just did more than I can thank you for, yesterday. And truly, thank you Looker," she said, bowing her head and continuing once he'd nodded, looking a little embarrassed. "And since you're the one I've been dealing with throughout… the past couple years I figured you'd be the person to come to."

Looker leaned forward. "The favor?" He looked a little amused as to why she wasn't coming right out with it, maybe a little nervous too.

White sighed. "I'd like to open a training school. I don't know how to go about it, so I thought I'd check in with you since you get around and I'm sure you'd know the right place to go to start something like that."

Looker's mouth turned into a small 'o' and he grinned. "Well, well, well, White the Hero of Unova wants to open a training school." He shook his head. "I can only imagine how many signups you'll have. I mean, who wouldn't want to be taught by you, the strongest trainer in the region?" He tilted his head to the side, scratching his chin. "I'd say creating a school is actually rather easy. We don't have many in Unova, mainly because it's hard to keep one afloat cost wise. Children are strong-minded here and don't typically want battle instruction once they've gotten their first Pokémon."

White's heart sank for a moment. Throughout her time traveling the region she had to admit she'd only seen one school, and even then it was for children six and under. She'd wondered if perhaps no one was interested in running a school, but hadn't pondered the possibility it was because no one wanted to enroll.

Looker seemed to sense her depression and raised a finger. "However," he grinned. "There are some successful schools, and there's no doubt in my mind that you'd be bringing in enormous class sizes just because of your reputation. I don't think you'd have an issue with it."

"Really?" White breathed, relief washing over her.

Looker gave her a wink. "Really. As I said creating a school is really rather easy. You need to check in with the head of the Pokémon League, Sukizo. He should have you fill out the necessary paperwork, help you find a good residence for your facility, give you your accreditation, and help get the word out about your school. He's actually on board for training schools. He believes it should be mandatory for children to go to one for at least a couple years after they receive their Pokémon. Maybe he's onto something, or maybe he's a little old-fashioned." Looker shrugged.

"That's so good to hear," White sighed. She'd been worried about the hoops she'd have to jump through to even get the school running. It was nice to know that at least getting it up and running should be relatively simple, even if the entire ordeal with Ghetsis teaching most likely wouldn't be.

"Most teachers have to undergo an exam," Looker continued, leaning back in his chair. "It's basically a simple test, some written and some physical, of how well you understand Pokémon and battling. For someone like you it should be a breeze. After you pass and you've gotten your school certified with the League, all that's left is drumming up enrollments and getting your curriculum ready."

White nodded. She felt Ghetsis shift uncomfortably in his chair and reached over, once again patting his knee reassuringly. She knew Ghetsis was hesitant about teaching, she wasn't blind, and she felt a little bad putting him through all of this, but she had a feeling in the end he'd enjoy it. He was an incredible trainer after all, and he truly did care for his Pokémon, so why not? He could pass some of his knowledge and skill onto the next generation. It might not start out smoothly but White had a feeling it'd turn out to be perfect for him in the end.

"I'll leave that curriculum stuff up to you," Looker said with a chuckle. It seemed the atmosphere was becoming a little calmer. "I heard you helped out a couple of new trainers a little while ago anyway, so you've probably already gotten a taste of teaching."

Ghetsis stiffened again, this time in annoyance. He tried not to think of the time White had spent away from him, when she'd been on the enemy's side again. She'd trained Hugh and Rosa, he remembered their names easily as he'd been monitoring them then as well, trying to narrow down White's location. Those had been horrible weeks, and even the thought made him feel a little sullen.

White nodded. "Yup, my time with them was actually what made me realize how fun and rewarding teaching can be," she said, her tone chipper and excited.

"Alrighty then, looks like you've got a nice little plan in action," Looker smiled. "Although I am curious as to why you didn't just go to the League first. That and if you do pull in the crowd of trainees that I'm expecting, you might be exhausted working with that many students."

White's heart began beating a little faster in her chest as she looked down at her lap, twiddling her fingers together. "Yeah, that sort of has to do with the reason I called you… I do want to have another instructor."

"Oh?" Looker asked. "Are you trying to find a partner?"

White shook her head. "No, I've already found someone…" She trailed off. "He's really talented…"

There was an elongated silence as she continued to stare at her lap. She felt two pairs of eyes on her and she slouched deeper. She could nearly feel Looker putting together the pieces, and in glancing up at him as he looked back and forth from her to Ghetsis, she could tell the exact moment when it'd sunk in.

Looker's eyes bugged and he choked, reeling off into a fit of coughing before regaining control. "Him?!" he spluttered, pointing at Ghetsis. "You want him to be your partner?!"

White nodded, cowering backwards in her chair. Looker wasn't angry, rather surprised, but he was still achieving a staggering volume which was rather intimidating.

Ghetsis straightened in his chair, his fists and jaw clenching as his eye narrowed in annoyance toward Looker. How rude this man was being inside of his own house, the tone in his voice suggesting that Ghetsis wouldn't be the ideal choice.

Looker leaned forward on the table, looking White straight in the eyes. "C'mon, you've got so much potential for this school, you being the legendary Hero after all. You could choose someone else, someone better suited for it, someone who could help the school not hinder it."

While the tone Looker used annoyed him, and what he suggested was downright insulting, the words that White could do better infuriated him. Maybe he hadn't been one hundred percent certain that he'd make a great teacher or addition to her school, but in hearing someone else say it, a sense of determination burst forth from his chest. No one else deserved a place at her side except for him, and visa versa. He'd be the best damn thing to happen to that school.

That was it. Ghetsis stood abruptly, his chair scraping noisily on the floor as he leaned forward, slamming both hands on the table with a loud 'boom' and snarling at Looker. "You bastard-"

He stopped as White raised her hands, one to silence him and the other held toward Looker who seemed as if he was about to stand up and fight with him, too. She took a deep breath, both men's eyes studying her. "I've made my decision." She stared harshly at Looker. "I can say with near certainty that Ghetsis is the only trainer whose talents challenge mine. I beat the Elite Four, Alder, N, all without any trouble at all, but he was the one to give me a run for my money. He beat me the first time, granted I've beaten him since but it's still always close. If I'm going to have a school, I can't think of a more worthy partner to go into it with."

Looker stared at her for a moment, his jaw clenching and unclenching as he searched her expression for some sort of answer. She stayed steady, and after a moment he sighed, backing down and relaxing into his chair. "Fine, it's your decision."

Ghetsis smirked. Although it was nice to stand up for and protect her, there was an odd sort of pride that came from her standing up for him. A dominant attraction even, that he hadn't felt before. Although it was all cut short when White sent a heated glare his way, silently telling him that she wasn't pleased with his outburst or the fact that he apparently couldn't keep his ego or his mouth in check.

It was nearly quiet as all three of them settled back down, uncomfortable glances and mutterings slowly clearing the air.

Looker sighed. "So he's the reason why you came to me and not the League?"

"Yes, he is," White said with a nod. "I understand it's going to be rough at first, at least, to get people to trust him, let alone as an instructor. I get that, but it doesn't change my mind."

Looker pursed his lips, his eyebrows knitting as he studied her. "So what's the favor in this? Something tells me you didn't just want information on starting a school, or to tell me about this…"

White looked up to him with pleading eyes. "I want you to make it public." Looker raised an eyebrow and she continued. "Our deal yesterday was closed-door and private. We agreed that it'd be kept quiet from the region and most everyone else in the Department. You'd keep him off the wanted list, but that was it. I know it's asking a lot, but I'd like you to make a region-wide announcement about him being exempt from any charges officially. What you disclose is up to you, but I believe if you made the announcement, and I said a few things too… perhaps we could convince everyone that the whole Team Plasma thing is over with and he really has changed."

Ghetsis glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, a twinge of aching in his heart. She'd done so much for him over the months, and she just kept doing more. Without her he probably would've been trying to take over the region again, and while that'd been his dream for so long, what he'd worked toward almost his entire life, in the end, he saw how feasible it was, which was not very. And while being an instructor had never been in the plan, never even crossed his mind, he wondered if perhaps she'd once again change his mind about something and show him a world he could've never dreamed of.

Looker frowned at White across the table and she bowed her head once again. "I know it's a lot to ask, and there's no guarantee how the public will take it but… please Looker."

She held her breath, her heart pounding unmercifully as Looker ran a hand through his hair, pinching the bridge of his nose. Only two days ago she hadn't told a soul about her idea of opening a school. She'd been uncertain of her own future, and yet now, not forty-eight hours later, she felt so passionate about it she could nearly explode. Maybe that's what they called a hidden dream. Maybe she'd been wanting to teach for much longer than her conscious mind realized. Either way, she felt as if her entire life and future was laying in the hands of Looker, and it was nerve-wracking.

"There's no certainty in this," Looker groaned. "It might not change anyone's opinion in which case you won't have a single enrollee, most likely." White nodded and he stared wearily at her. "And you're willing to put the possibility that your school will flop on the line just to have him as your partner?"

"Yes," White answered with a certainty she'd felt few times before. She'd find a way. Even if it didn't work, she knew Ghetsis was the only one talented enough and the only one she wanted. She'd make it work.

"The things I do for you," Looker mumbled, shaking his head and unable to keep a smile from cracking onto his face. White's eyes widened in hope and Looker threw his arms into the air. "Fine, I'll do it."

White squealed, jumping up from her chair and throwing her arms around the thing closest to her, which happened to be Ghetsis, before slipping out, running around the table, and throwing her arms around Looker. She was so happy she didn't care how juvenile she looked. "Thank you!"

Looker chuckled, patting her on the back before leaning down to her level and sticking a finger in her face. "You just better promise you'll work hard and crank out some of the strongest trainers this region's ever seen."

She bit her lip, grinning as determination flashed across her eyes. "Promise!"

So there it is! I hope you liked it! Sorry if it felt weird or off, once again it's been a long time since I've written for this story. Next chapter is the last! And I do hope to have it out before long! This story is gettin' old (like two and a half years?!) so I'd like to finish it up for my own sanity and also because I feel bad having stories unfinished for that long. Haha! I know whenever I read fanfiction I like to read the ones that are finished so I don't have to wait uber long periods of time for the next installment.

Nothing too romancey in this chapter, but the thought of Ghetsis planning a wedding made me laugh incredibly hard so I had to mention that somewhere in there. XD

Once again the next chapter is the last! It'll be tying in all the loose ends for this... I just hope I can remember all the loose ends. ^^'

Thank you so much for reading and the reviews and whatnot I receive never cease to make me incredibly happy!
