I had no time to proof read this chapter as it is already 11:50pm and I just finished the chapter. I hope you'll still like it. I'm working on the serial killer case now...or I'll start tomorrow :)

One Night Stand

Chapter Thirty Five - "Nr. 4"

In the afternoon another pregnant woman was found dead. Alica Mayfield. She had been four months pregnant, not married. Her boyfriend had reporter her missing the day before and in the afternoon they had found her dead body in Central Park. Kate and Rick had gone to have a look at the area, but hart found anything useful. They didn't have more so far and had to wait for the test results. Gates told them to go home at 6 and that was what they did. They went home.

At home ...

Kate sighed when she sat down on one of the bar stools and watched her boyfriend as he started to prepare dinner. "Didn't we want to go out tonight?" she asked.

He put the chopping knife down and looked at her. "Yeah. You still wanna go out?"

"I'd like to. I don't want to sit at home and think about the case."

He smiled. "Okay. Me neither. How about you get ready and I book us a table?"

"Sounds good."

"Any preferences?"

"Chinese?"

"Great! I'll book us a table at Choo's."

"You sure? I thought you had to reserve a table weeks in advance ... "

"I don't."

She smiled. "Of course you don't. I'll get ready. Lets say book the table for 8:30?"

"I will."

"Okay."

He watched her go and called Choo's.

"Hi, I'm Emma, what can I do for you?"

"Hello, this is Rick Castle. I'd like to book a table of two for 8:30 tonight."

"Oh Sir, I'm afraid that's not possible."

"I can assure you, it is. Ask Mr. Choo." He heard the woman talk to somebody.

"Mr. Castle? Your table is booked. I'm sorry for the trouble."

"No problem Emma. We'll see you later."

"Of course Mr. Castle. Bye."

"Bye."

Twenty minutes later Kate stepped into the living room. She wore her favorite blue dress.

To him she looked as beautiful as always. "Stunning."

She smiled and walked towards him. "Yeah?"

"You know I love you in that dress. It looks beautiful on you." He wrapped his arms around her to kiss her softly.

"You gonna get changed, too?"

"Sure. I have to keep up with you."

She leaned into him and laid her head on his shoulder. She kissed his neck softly. "Thank you. For everything," she whispered.

"Always," he replied and pressed a kiss to her hair.

Try stayed like this for a couple of minutes before they felt the babies kick again.

Kate broke away from him and took his hands to press them to her bump.

He smiled brightly. "I love to feel them."

"Me too. I wish you could feel it the same way I can. Feeling them kick is the most beautiful thing I've ever felt Rick. Thank you for giving this extraordinary gift to me."

He took her hands with a smile and looked into her eyes. They were sparkling. "Thank you for telling me about our extraordinary gift. I wish I could feel it the same way you do Kate, but frankly, that's not possible."

Kate smirked.

"What?"

"I'm trying to imagine you with a big bump."

Rick smiled. "Nah, wouldn't fit me. Look at you, you look so beautiful Kate, why would I take that from you?"

She laughed and leaned forward to kiss him. "Right, why take it from me. Why would you want to end up fat, with a sore back and feet, being kicked by that little person inside of you ... "

"No, I don't mean it like this Kate. Pregnancy fits you so wonderfully Kate. I wouldn't want to take it from you, because you love being pregnant. You love the feeling of our babies kicking you and you won't ever look fat to me. You will always be beautiful and being pregnant makes you so much more beautiful. Much more beautiful than I ever imagined could be possible."

"You sure?"

"Always."

She leaned forward to kiss him again. "I love you."

"I love you, too."

At 8:25pm they arrived at the Chinese restaurant. Rick helped Kate out of the car and led her into the restaurant. Before they walked into the restaurant she stopped him and turned around to kiss him. Both of them smiled into the kiss before they entered the small restaurant.

"Ricky! It's been some time since I last saw you here!" Chin Choo said.

"Yeah, it's been some time Chin."

"And who is the lovely lady? Kate Beckett if I'm not mistaken?"

Kate smiled and nodded.

"You are much more beautiful than the pictures in the newspaper would let you think. Oh, and my congratulations of course! Rick mentioned that Chinese was one of your favorite foods. You know, he orders here every time he needs Chinese food."

Kate smiled. "He never told me."

"Well, now you know honey," he said with a smile and took her hand.

"Good good. I got you a nice table in the back of the restaurant, figured you would want some privacy away from the paparazzi."

Rick nodded. "Thank you Chin."

Chin showed them the way to their table and gave them the menu once they were seated. "I'll be right back to pick up your orders. What would you like to drink?"

"Sparkling water?" Rick asked his girlfriend and ordered it when she nodded.

"Okay, will be right back," Chin said and left them alone.

"Like it?"

"Yeah, it's a nice little restaurant. You went here often?"

"Yeah, Alexis and mother love the food."

"Brought anybody else here?"

Rick smiled. "Are you jealous Miss Beckett?"

"What? No."

"Oh, I think you are. And to answer your question, no, I never brought any other women here, you're the first one."

She bit her lip and keep studying the menu.

Rick watched her with a smile while picking out his own food for the evening.

Later that evening Kate groaned when her iPhone rang. She picked it up and groaned again. "Why do they always ruin our evenings out?" She slid her finger across the screen to answer the call. "Beckett."

"Yo boss, sorry to interrupt whatever you're doing, but we've got another body drop," Esposito said.

"A fourth women?"

"Yeah."

Kate sighed and looked at Rick who nodded. "We're on our way."

"I'll text ya the address Chica. Oh, and say hi to Castle."

"Thanks. See you soon," she said and ended the call again. Kate sighed. "Espo says hi. He'll text me the address."

"At least we have already eaten. Care to brief me on our way to the crime scene?"

Kate nodded.

"Okay. Let me pay and were right on our way. Thank god we took my car and not car service."

"Yeah. We should hurry up."

Rick smiled and went to pay their dinner. He came back three minutes later with her coats draped over his arm.

Kate stood up and waited for him to help her into her coat. "Thank you," she said and kissed him.

"Mmhh, don't thank me too early. There are paparazzi on the street."

Kate nodded. "Not your fault that you are a New York City bestselling author."

"And with an extraordinary and beautiful muse. Not to mention that said muse is carrying their unborn children."

She leaned into his side and they walked out of the restaurant after saying their good byes to Chin Choo.

Kate took a deep breath before they stepped out of the restaurant.

They were blinded by flashes and Rick put his arm around Kate and tried to shield her from the paparazzi. Just before they rescue the car Kate stopped and turned around in his arms to kiss him. Kate smiled and pressed another kiss to a stunned Richard Castle's lips.

A/N: All mistakes are mine!

Okay, it's short...I know...and I'm sorry for it. So much to do. Learning for school, studying for the theory test of my driving license, taking care of two horses, helping my friend move this weekend. Urgh...but it all will be worth it. I can promise you this, after the case is solved there will be fluff. Lots of it! Until then, I'll try my best to write this case as I am not good at writing cases. I bet you realized that until now :D

My little heart will still love all of your Reviews! I wish I could share these cupcakes with you! So here is an imagined cupcake for everyone!

Furthermore lots of you were asking about their fight in the previous chapter. You didn't miss anything. I made a three weeks jump and their flight was during these three weeks. Everything you need to know is inside the chapters you read :)
