Always Getting Over You:
A View To A Kill:
3rd Person POV:
Stefan Salvatore was awoken from a peaceful slumber by the sensation of someone's warm breath of the back of his neck and he smiled tiredly with his eyes still closed as he felt someone press their lips to the nape of his neck.
"Stefan…. Are you awake?" a husky female voice with an English accent asked him in a whisper as they leaned over him so their lips were next to his ear and he shivered as their warm breath tickled his skin.
"No." he murmured sleepily as a smile spread across his lips and the woman behind him giggled softly as she pressed a gently kiss to his cheek. Stefan chuckled softly as he buried his face in the pillow under his head and tried to ignore the feeling of her fingers grazing across his back. "Rhea, what are you doing?"
"I think that's pretty obvious, Stefan." Rhea replied easily as she wrapped her arm around his waist and pressed her body into his back as she seductive nibbled on his earlobe. Stefan quickly rolled over so that he was on his back and Rhea let out a surprise laugh as she landed on his bare muscular chest. Their legs were tangled together under the sheet as they both chuckled and Stefan smiled at the beautiful oak eyed vampire in front of him as she brushed a strand of honey coloured hair out of her face. "Good morning, handsome."
"Good morning, beautiful." Stefan said to him softly as he brushed a piece of hair out of her eyes with a smile and she ducked her head at the compliment as she bit her lower lip sheepishly.
"You're very flattering, Mr Salvatore."
"Well, I want something from you." He told her with a grin as he leaned up to kiss the corner of her mouth and she giggled slightly as he pulled back from her.
"And what would that be?" she asked him knowingly with a sly smile as she quirked an eyebrow at him and ran her hand up his chest to rest just above his heart.
"Why don't I show you instead?" Stefan asked her rhetorically in a husky voice as he gently cupped the back of her neck in his hands and guided her lips down to melded against his perfectly as she smiled happily. He moved his lips against hers as she ran her hands up his neck into his tousled hair and he swiped his tongue over her lower lip as he silently asked her permission to enter. Rhea eagerly allowed him entrance as her tongue tangled with his in a fight for dominance and she moved so that she was straddling his hips with her hands resting flat on his toned chest.
"Well, this is a sight to see…" a male voice with a British accent drawled in amusement from the doorway and the couple immediately pulled away from each other to glare at the intruder.
"To be continued." Rhea promised as she pecked Stefan on the lips quickly before rolling off of him and sitting on the edge of the bed as she reached for her silk robe on the armchair next to the bed. Stefan sighed heavily in frustration as he sat up in the bed and ran a hand through his messy dirty blonde hair as he glared at his girlfriend's brother for interrupting them. "This is my place, Nik, and I don't appreciate you invading my privacy like some kind of creeping tom." Rhea told him angrily as she tied the belt of her dressing gown with a scowl and crossed her arms over her chest as she turned around to face her older brother.
"Well, I apologize for breaking up this sordid little tryst, but I do have some urgent business. Or have you forgotten – our paranoid brother Kol has compelled Damon to paralyse the hunter." Niklaus said to her in a bored tone as he waved a hand in the air dismissively and smirked at his younger sister's flushed cheeks as she glared at him.
"Did Kol leave already?"
"Yes, last night. And, unfortunately he seems to have absconded with my set of daggers." He replied in an annoyed voice as he leaned on the doorframe and Rhea rolled her oak brown eyes at his melodramatics.
"Oh, poor Nik. However will you get your way without your precious daggers? They were so handy when you wanted to end a conversation with one of us!" she snapped angrily as she pushed her long honey coloured hair out of her face and walked over to her vanity station as she smiled sarcastically at him.
"We need to put him down before he does any more damage. Now, I know you have the last dagger, and I know you have some white ash, so hand it over." Klaus told her pointedly as he held out his hand expectantly in her direction and she spluttered out a melodic laugh as she covered her mouth with one hand. Stefan fought a smile at the sound of his girlfriend's laughter as he shook his head at her and watched as she smiled over at her brother patronisingly.
"You can file that request under 'no chance in hell.'" She told him easily as she turned back to the vanity mirror and looked at him in the mirror as she pulled her hair up into a ponytail. "Now, be gone. Lurkers aren't welcome here."
"I need that dagger, Stefan. Talk some sense into her." Klaus said to the green eyed vampire still reclining in the bed as he pointed a finger at his younger sister's back and Stefan quirked an eyebrow at him as he yawned before swinging his legs over the edge of the bed.
"Why don't you talk some sense into her?" Stefan asked rhetorically as he stood up from the bed before bending down to grab his discarded shirt from the floor and pulling it on before grabbing his jeans. "I'm headed home to play prison guard to Damon. He's on lockdown ever since Kol compelled him to paralyse Jeremy last night."
"You see? That's my point exactly. Now, come on, Rhea, be a dear."
"It's not gonna happen." Rhea told her brother in a sing-song voice as she walked over to the walk in closet and grabbed a floral sundress from one of the hangers. "If I gave them to you, what's to stop you from driving it into my chest?"
"Apart from the fact that you're my favourite sibling?" Klaus asked her with a charming smile on his handsome face and she gave him a sceptically look as she slipped the dress on over her head because she knew that Rebekah was his favourite sibling out of all of them. "If you don't want a dagger in your heart then don't act like an imbecile like Kol is at the moment."
"You're so devoted to your loving siblings." She murmured mockingly as she flashed him a tight smile and made her way over to where Stefan was silently watching the siblings banter in amusement. Rhea wrapped her arms around his waist as she leaned into his side and he smiled down at her as he pressed a kiss to her temple.
"I have to go watch Damon. Klaus, don't dagger my girlfriend while I'm gone." Stefan demanded playfully as he quirked an eyebrow at the hybrid and gave Rhea a quick kiss on the lips before walking towards the bedroom door. Klaus smirked as Stefan strolled past on his way to the door and the green eyed vampire patted him on the shoulder as he gave him 'good luck' look before leaving.
"Kol promised Rebekah that he was going to stay out of the cure business from now on and I believe him, but then again I actually have some faith in the people I love." Rhea said to her older brother as she crossed her arms over her chest and gave him a disappointed frown. Klaus continued to stare at her with a blank expressionless face as she quirked an eyebrow at him and she sighed as she closed her eyes for a moment before looking at him in defeat. "Go bother Rebekah, Nik, she has the dagger."
Rhea POV:
I was sitting alone in the library of the mansion surrounded by hundreds of ancient grimoires that I had collected over the last 1000 years that I had been on the planet trying to find any mere mention of the Five. Mystic Falls high school was supposed to be having a decade dance but the new mayor had cancelled it at the last minute and many of the students weren't happy about it, including Rebekah and Caroline whom had both called me to complain as soon as they had heard the news. I sighed to myself as I tiredly turned the page of the grimore in front of me and for the billionth time since I turned, I cursed over the fact that I no longer had access to my magic.
"Hey." A familiar voice said greeted me from the doorway to the library and I couldn't help the smile that crossed my lips at the sound of his voice as I turned my head around to look at him.
"What the bloody hell are you wearing?" I asked him with a small giggle as I covered my mouth with my hand and shook my head as I looked over his tight pants and brown fighter pilot jacket that I had seen from the movie Top Gun a few days ago.
"What?" Stefan asked in mock confusion as he glanced down at himself with his arms out to the side and I stood up from my spot on the floor as I chuckled at him in amusement. He looked back at me with a heart-warming smile as he stepped further into the room and I smirked at him as he wrapped his arms around my waist so they rested on the small of my back.
"You know, fighter pilots are mighty sexy." I murmured softly with a coy smile as I leaned in to kiss his lips and he hummed in acknowledgement as he kissed me back quickly before resting his forehead against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pulled me in closer to his body and I tangled my fingers in his tousled dirty blonde hair as he pressed an opened mouth kiss to underside of my jaw. "I saw Top Gun the other day. One line really stood out to me."
"And what line was that?"
"Take me to bed or lose me forever." I quoted quietly in a husky voice as I bit my lower lip seductively and looked into his forest green eyes that had darkened with lust at my words. Stefan groaned in the back of his throat in frustration as he tightened his hold on my waist and I giggled in delight as he leaned down to meld his lips with mine. I closed my eyes as Stefan moved his lips against mine and whimpered slightly as he pulled away from me with a small smirk on his lips.
"Hmm. As tempting as that is, we have somewhere we need to be." He told me softly as he stepped away from me so that my arms fell from around his neck and I pouted my bottom lip out in protest as he smiled at me in amusement at my actions.
"Is that place our bedroom?" I asked him hopefully as I gripped his forearm in my hands and he shook his head at me as he smiled slightly. "Is it our shower?"
"No. Stop guessing. You're never going to get it." Stefan warned me playfully as he stepped forward and wrapped his arm around my waist once more as I placed my hands on his chest.
"I hate surprises, Stefan." I whined with a pout as I buried my head into his chest and he chuckled at me as he tangled his hands in my hair.
"Fine. Since the decade dance was cancelled, we are going to break into the gymnasium." He informed me with a half-smile as I pulled back to look at him with an eyebrow quirked in question and he pulled me tighter against him as he grinned widely. "Caroline had already decorated the gym for the dance before they cancelled it and I don't want it to go to waste. You've been studying these grimoires for days and you need to relax. So, go get dressed."
"Stefan…"
"Go! I want you dressed and ready to go in 15 minutes. Go. Go. Go." He ordered me with a stern look as he moved to stand behind me and began pushing me gently towards the door to the library.
"Wow. You're being bossy today. It's kind of a turn on, actually." I murmured thoughtfully to myself as he ushered me out of the room and he laughed softly as he gave me one last push down the hallways before letting go of my shoulders.
Stefan placed his hand over my eyes so that I couldn't see anything as he lead me into the high school gymnasium and I could feel the heat coming off his chest from behind me as he grasped my hand in one of his.
"I think I saw a horror movie that started just like this. Did you know they play movies on TV all night long now? Hundreds of them. So much better than those silly black-and-white picture shows we used to go to." I uttered under my breath as Stefan pulled me to a stop and removed his hand from my eyes as he stepped away but it was still too dark for me to see anything in the room. I felt Stefan moving away from me as he chuckled at my comment and I blinked in surprise as the overhead light flickered on. I smiled to widely as I looked around the white and red streamers hung up all over the walls and the 99 red balloons that were spread out all over the floor.
"I dunno. I kinda miss the old ones. You got any requests for the DJ?" Stefan asked me from behind me as I held my arms out to the sides and spun around to look at him standing in the DJ booth with a small smile as he watched me take in the atmosphere.
"I'll let you pick. Nothing cheesy." I warned him in mock sternness as I pointed a finger at him with a wink and he laughed at me as he pulled his phone into the speakers.
"Oh, that leaves out about half the decade. Hope you like The Cure." He teased me with a smirk as he pressed a few buttons on his phone and music flooded out of the speakers as he placed the phone down on the table before strolling it over to me.
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
"Funny. So is everything about the eighties so... excessive?" I asked him as I looked around the gymnasium at the massive amounts of balloons and
"It had its charm. 'Say Anything' – Lloyd Dobler standing outside of a bedroom window with a boom box over his head, desperately trying to get back the girl of his dreams; 'Princess Bride' – Wesley slays giant rats for love; 'The Breakfast Club' – one detention turns a bunch of outcasts into allies." He informed me as he slowly made his way over to where I was standing in the middle of the gymnasium and I quirked an eyebrow at him with a smirk on my lips.
"So it was a decade of sentimental drivel, as well?" I asked playfully as he stopped in front of me and he put his hands behind his back as I reached up to fix the black bowler hat that I was wearing.
"Well, I was going to say love, friendship, the possibility of anything happening. You would've loved it." Stefan told me with soft smile as he tilted his head to the side and glanced down at my retro eighties outfit which consisted of a metallic green dress, fishnet stockings and my bowler hat.
"And why is that?"
"Because as much as we both hate to admit it, we care about those things." He replied softly as he reached into his brown jacket and pulled out a small box before holding it out to me.
"That better not be a corsage. I loathe corsages." I joked with a mock serious expression as my lips fought back a smile and Stefan smiled at me as he slowly opened the box to reveal a koala corsage.
"These were all the rage in the eighties." He told me with a smirk as he pulled it out of the corsage out of the box and I laughed loudly as he clipped it onto the front of my dress for me before pressing a chaste kiss to me cheek. Stefan smiled down at me with a loving smile that nearly melted my heart as he held out his hand for me to take and I sighed in content as I grasped his hand in mine. "Let's dance."
"I'd love to." I replied breathlessly as he pulled me closer to his body and I wrapped my arms around his neck as he held me in the safety of his arms. The tension between the two of us was palpable as we slowly danced with our arms around each other and we both subconsciously stopped moving as we stared into each other's eyes. My breath caught in my throat as I looked into his forest green eyes that were darkened with lust and I unintentionally bit her lower lip as his gaze quickly darted to my lips before returning to my eyes. I glanced down at his lips as he started to lean into me and my eyes fluttered closed as I also leaned into him in anticipation for his addictive kiss.
However far away
I will always love you
However long I stay
I will always love you
Whatever words I say
I will always love you
I will always love you
Stefan's lips melded together with mine perfectly as he cupped my cheek in his hand and grasped my hip with the other. I raised one of my hands to tangle my fingers in his tousled sandy hair and placed the other on his well-muscled shoulder. I moaned slightly in pleasure as he pressed me further into his body and he took the opening to connect our tongues together. His tongue battled mine for dominance as Stefan dug his fingers deeper into the skin at my hip and I wrapped both of my arms around his neck to get better leverage as I leaned into his touch almost desperately. My entire body felt like it was on fire as my finger tangled them in Stefan's hair and he growled lowly into my mouth before he pulled away from my lips to place a line of wet kisses down my jawline. I was breathing heavily as I moaned in ecstasy as he playfully nibbed the sensitive skin under my jaw and I shuddered under him before pulling placing my hand on his cheek to pull his face back up to mine. I smiled slightly at him when his green eyes meet mine and he smiled at me seductively before attacking mine lips with his again. I kissed him back sweetly as I moved my lips in sync with his and I revelled in the same smooth texture that I could remember from 90 years ago. I pulled back from him slightly so that there was less than an inch of space between our lips as our laboured breaths mixed together and he leaned his forehead against mine as my hands moved from his hair to his shoulders.
"This was a good idea." I murmured breathlessly as I nodded rapidly while staring into his forest green eyes and he chuckled lightly as he also nodded in agreement. I whimpered slightly as he stepped away from me and my hands dropped down to my side as he backed up a few feet.
"I'll be right back, okay?" he asked me quietly with a crooked smile as he pointed a finger at me almost warningly and I nodded at him in acknowledgement as I giggled silently. Stefan grinned at me brightly before he turned on his heel and left the gymnasium quickly as I fought the silly smile that spread across my face. I laughed loudly as I spun around the gymnasium with my arms out to the side and I kicked some of the red balloons that were on the ground as I passed them.
"You're back!" I exclaimed happily when I saw that Stefan was leaning against the wall to the side of the room watching me with a small smile and I stopped spinning as he pushed himself off the wall.
"It's amazing what you can find stashed away in the teachers' lounge." Stefan explained to me as he held up a bottle of alcohol in one hand with a smirk on his lips and I chuckled lightly as I strolled over to where he was standing next to one of the tables that had red plastic cups on it.
This song is not as terrible as the other ones." I pointed out as I smiled over to the speakers and Stefan looked over at me as he poured some of the alcohol into two cups.
"This song is the godfather of rock anthems, okay? I can't listen to this music without thinking of Lexi. We spent most of the eighties together. I remember this one time she snuck us backstage and compelled half the band to do tequila shots with us before the show. She was fearless, kinda like you. I was just a better person when I was with her. I didn't think I'd ever feel that way again." He said to me with a wistful smile as he remembered the past and I watched him with a sad smile as I thought about the beautiful Alexia Branson.
"Until me?" I asked him jokingly with a cocky smirk in an effort to break the tension that had fallen over us and he looked over at me with a serious expression but I could see the small sparkle of mirth in his forest eyes.
"Until you." he agreed sincerely as he held the red plastic cup for me to take and I stilled instantly at the honesty in his melodic voice as I stared into his expressive green eyes. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that he was telling the truth and I felt tears spring into my eyes but I blinked them back as I ducked my head so that Stefan wouldn't see them. "I love you."
"Heh, I love you too." I told him honestly as I looked up into his forest green eyes and he smiled at me softly as he placed the plastic cup down before grabbing my hand in his.
I groaned loudly as I fell backwards onto the floor of the library and covered my face with both of my hands as I whimpered slightly. All the reading and searching through grimoires was slowly driving me insane even though Stefan, Rebekah and Caroline had all pried me away from my research at some point in the last couple of weeks to relax. I rubbed my eyes with the heels of my hands as I stretched my legs out in front of me and extended my arms up in the air as I wriggled my fingers around to get the feeling back in them. I pulled myself back up into sitting position as I sighed and crossed my legs underneath me as I reached out for the grimore I had been reading. I ran my fingers gently over the ancient page and tried to ignore the ache for magic in my stomach as I read over the Latin script for any mention of the Five. I read over the title twice in surprise as I blinked rapidly in case my sleep deprived mind was seeing things and bit my lower lip as I tried to suppress the excitement in my chest.
Quinque autem fraternitatem
"The Brotherhood of the Five." I said out loud to myself in awe as I wide smile spread across my lips and I quickly sat up straighter as I read the passage underneath the title but tried to stifle the excitement in case it was a fluke.
The Brotherhood of the Five
Distinction: Supernatural hunters who are highly qualified in killing vampires
The Brotherhood of the Five were created by a witch a descendant of the very powerful witch Qetsiyah. Their means of accomplishing this task is via the tattoos on their bodies called the Hunter's Mark. The marks served a variety of purposes and lead to Silas and his means of destruction - the Cure for Immortality.
As supernaturally gifted hunters, members of the Brotherhood of the Five possess and are endowed with peak-human physical abilities, such as strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and endurance.
Only a potential hunter or another member of the Five can see the mark/symbol of the Five if it is not completed. With every vampire kill the mark grows until it reveals the spell that breaks the seal protecting the cure, as well as tells the story of Silas, the original immortal, and Qetsiyah, the witch who made him immortal.
Expression can be used to cast a spell that will reveal the mark without the necessary kills.
"O. M. G." I exclaimed in excitement as I stood up quickly from the floor and grabbed the grimore carefully in both hands as I ran towards the door. "Stefan!"
3rd Person POV:
Elena Gilbert stood leaning against the wall furthest away from her young brother as she watched him make a special tea that Bonnie said would calm him down around vampires. She crossed her arms over her chest nervously as she nibbled on her lower lip and slowly breathed out a sigh of relief when Jeremy sent her a small smile over his shoulder as he worked.
"You can come closer you know." Jeremy called over his shoulder as he turned back around to finish making his tea and Elena ducked her head in embarrassment that she was acting so cautious towards her own brother. "I won't bite. Or stake you."
"Ha ha." Elena muttered sarcastically as Jeremy laughed at his own joke and she walked over to the kitchen bench slowly as though he was a skittish animal. "So, um, how are you feeling?"
"I feel like me. Really, Elena, you need to stop worrying so much. You'll get wrinkles." He told her with a grin as he poured his tea into a coffee mug and turned around to lean against the kitchen island opposite Elena.
"I can't help worrying about you, Jer. You're my little brother and none of this should be happening to you. To us." she said sadly with a frown as she looked down at the counter top and Jeremy shook his head as he rolled his dark brown eyes at her while she couldn't see him. He had been repressing what he really thought about her turning since it happened and while he made it clear that he was against it, he had never actually told her what was going through his mind. He opened his mouth to tell her exactly what he thought but a knock at the front door interrupted what he was about to say and he sighed heavily as Elena glanced up in surprise. The brunette vampire pushed herself off of the island as she frowned and made her way over to the front door hesitantly before she pulled it open to reveal a familiar honey haired vampire.
"Hello, Elena. Is Jeremy in?" Rhea asked with an easy smile but there was a burning excitement in her oak brown eyes that Elena didn't know what to make of and she slowly nodded her head as she opened the door wider for the Original to enter. "I thought you were living at the Salvatore Boarding house now?"
"I am. I'm just visiting Jeremy." Elena replied carefully as she followed Rheanna further into the house and the honey haired Original nodded casually in understanding.
"Rhea?" Jeremy asked excitedly from the kitchen when she appeared in the doorway separating the foyer and the kitchen as she smiled brightly at the hunter. Elena watched jealously as her brother rounded the kitchen island and pulled the Original into a tight hug as he grinned happily. Rhea chuckled lightly as she wrapped her arms around the young hunter and pulled back to cup his handsome face in her hands.
"Hello, sweetheart. Come on, I have exciting news!" Rhea exclaimed as she grabbed Jeremy by the hand and led him into the longue room as Elena followed them slowly. The brunette wasn't sure that she was meant to be included in whatever was going on so she stopped in the doorway as Rhea and Jeremy sat down next to each other on the couch. "Elena. Come on."
"Yeah, come on, Elena." Jeremy said as well as they both looked over at her expectantly and she smiled tentatively as she made her way into the room with them. "So, what's your news?"
"Well, I've been searching endlessly through my collection of grimoires for any mention of the Five and today, about 15 minutes ago actually, I found something!" she told them enthusiastically as she grinned almost manically and clapped her hands in front of herself. Jeremy could help but laugh a little at her contagious excitement as he leaned back on the couch and glanced at Elena from the corner of his corner because he knew that the two vampire's weren't on the best of terms. "I found a spell to reveal the hunter mark without making any more kills."
"Oh, my god! Really?" Jeremy asked her in disbelief as he grabbed her hand tightly and Elena sat there stunned as the Original nodded her head rapidly with a smile.
"That's right. The only thing that we need is the spell, which I have in my grimore, and a witch that has access to the darkest elements of nature, expression."
"Bonnie…" Jeremy murmured quietly to himself as Rhea quirked an eyebrow just as the front door opened and the sound of two people's footsteps echoed through the Gilbert house. Elena stood up quickly as she moved to stand in front of Jeremy protectively and Rhea rolled her oak brown eyes at her as she jumped up from the couch.
"God, Elena. Relax. Use your vampire senses, its Stefan and Bonnie." Rhea informed them easily as she pushed pass the brunette vampire and smiled brightly as the youngest Salvatore appeared in the doorway between the two rooms with the petite Bennet witch trailing after him holding a large ancient grimore. "Ah, glad you could make it."
"Anything for you." Stefan assured her as he grinned crookedly and placed a gentle kiss on her temple as he walked pass on his way to the longue. Rhea rolled her eyes at him but had a pleased smile on her lips as she turned to face the young witch standing in the doorway and smiled gently as she walked over to her.
"Stefan showed me the spell you want me to perform." Bonnie said in greeting to the ex-witch as she smiled slightly and Rhea nodded her head as she linked arms with her before leading her into the longue room with the others.
"It's the easiest way to reveal the hunter tattoo without Jeremy having to kill anymore vampires." Rhea explained to her as she sat on the arm of the couch and Bonnie smiled at Jeremy as she sunk down next to him on the couch. Stefan sat down on the coffee table in front of the couch and Elena perched next to him as she glanced between the other four people in the room. "Of course, we wouldn't ask you to do this without some sort of compensation."
"Compensation?" Bonnie repeated unsurely as though it was a foreign word to her and Rhea flashed a small smile as she nodded her head.
"Of course. We're asking you to do a service, of sorts. I know that you would do this anyway, just to help your friend but using your gift for the benefit of someone else is a noble act that should be rewarded. So, once you've completed the spell, you may keep the grimore as payment." The Original told her patiently as she gestured the book in the witch's hand and Bonnie's mouth gaped open as she stared at the honey haired vampire next to her.
"You're serious? This grimore has practically ancient."
"Just take it, Bonnie. She won't let up until you agree." Stefan informed the young witch with a roll of his forest green eyes and Rhea smirked at him as she wrinkled her nose cutely before turning to back to face Bonnie with a smile.
"Okay. Thank you." the dark skinned girl said sincerely as she hugged the book tighter to her chest and Rhea nodded once as she stood up from the arm of the couch.
"Alright, let's go make some magic." Rhea said jokingly as she clapped her hands together once in front of her and everyone except Elena chuckled at her as she spun on her heel before practically skipping out of the room.
"Alright, Jer." Bonnie said calmly as she set the grimore down on the kitchen table and smiled slightly as Rhea pulled three white pillar candles from her large handbag. "I need you to take your shirt off."
"Bonnie?" Elena asked for clarification as she looked incredulously at the young witch and Bonnie blushed as she looked at the amused expressions on Rhea, Stefan and Jeremey's faces.
"I mean, we, uh, need to be able to see the tattoo when it appears." She explained as she set the candles out evenly on the table and Jeremy nodded in understanding as he pulled his shirt off over his head. Bonnie glanced away from him as she swallowed and turned to the right page in the grimore as everyone waited for her. "So, you need to lie down in the middle of the table."
"Got it." Jeremy murmured as he pressed himself up on the table before lying down flat on his back and Bonnie nodded once to herself as she closed her eyes before beginning to chant in Latin. Rhea and Stefan held hands as they leaned against the nearest wall and watched nervously as Jeremy closed his eyes where he was lying on the table. The candles on the table next to Jeremy suddenly became ignited as Bonnie continued to chant and Elena covered her mouth anxiously as she watched her younger brother.
"Something's blocking me." Bonnie uttered in English quietly mostly to herself as she squeezed her eyes closed tighter and Rhea stepped forward so that she was standing next to the young witch as she nibbled on her lower lip.
"Use my energy." Rheanna suggested softly as she grasped one Bonnie's hands in hers and Stefan shot her a confused glanced as he crossed his arms over his broad chest. The ex-witch looked back at her boyfriend with a reassuring smile before turning back to Bonnie who was looking at her with the same confused expression Stefan had. "I used to be a witch. All my magically energy is still there, I just can't touch it because technically I'm dead. When a witch dies, there magic energy stays with their spirit. If I hadn't turned into a vampire, my magic would've transferred to the Otherside with my spirit when I died."
"I can try." Bonnie said as she held Rhea's hand tighter so that they didn't break their connection and closed her eyes once more as she began chanting in Latin. Everyone was silent as they listened intently to the sound of Bonnie's voice and Jeremy shifted uncomfortably on the table as his arm started to tingle.
"Ahh!" Jeremy in agony as his body jerked and Elena rushed towards him in a panic but Stefan grabbed her around the waist to stop her from touching her brother. Bonnie let out a yelp as she opened her eyes wide and looked around the room in confusion before she refocused on the young hunter. Rhea opened her eyes as well and glanced at Stefan before looking down at Jeremy's arm with a wide smile. Jeremy was breathing heavily as he squeezed his eyes closed tightly and opened them again when he noticed that no one was saying anything. "What?"
"Oh, my god..." Elena whispered in shock as she stared at the black tattoo that had spread across his chest and arm as she covered her mouth with one hand. Jeremy frowned in confusion as he looked down at the tattoo and then back up at the four people gaping at him.
"You can see it?"
"We can see it." Rhea assured him softly as she bit into her lower lip to stop from screaming with joy and Stefan wrapped his arms around her waist when he saw the happy tears in her beautiful oak brown eyes.
