A/N: Really sorry for the delay, creative block in full flow, and I got stuck with this. Wasn't sure where I was going to go with it. We are coming to the end of this one, a few more parts left, to tie things up. This idea was dropped into my lap last night, hopefully y'all don't kill me because of it, though feel free to kill me for using the "y'all". There will be at least one more update of this today, just in case any of you were wondering. Anyway, on with it we go. Read, review and enjoy!

Chapter Thirty Six

As Tamsin made her way back from the Dal she could sense that someone was following her. She had noticed the van in her rear-view mirror at the last junction but had thought nothing of it. She glanced in her rear-view again and saw that it was closer than it had been.

"So much for keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front…" she said to herself, putting her foot down and speeding up a little.

She felt a lot calmer within herself after leaving instructions for Trick and Dyson, she only hoped that they would stand by their word. When it came to Dyson she had no reason to not trust him, Trick had done some pretty screwed up things in the past, but Tamsin hoped that he wouldn't add something else to that list.

She stopped at a set of traffic lights, as her favourite song came on the radio she started tapping her fingers on the steering wheel along with the music. Glancing in the rear-view again she saw that the van was literally stopped right behind her, something wasn't right. She took her phone out and text Bo letting her know she was on her way back, not that she expected the Succubus to be worried about her. The lights seemed to take forever to change. Tamsin was never the most patient of people. Finally the lights changed and she carried on with her journey.

She decided to stop off and pick up something to eat for later, as she left the store she saw the van blocking in her truck. She walked up to the driver's side window of the van and she knocked.

"Yo, asshat, do you want to move so I can leave?" she said as the window was put down.

"Are you Tamsin?" The guy asked without looking at her.

"Depends who wants to know." Tamsin replied.

"We have a message for you…" he said.

At that moment the back of the van opened and three big guys got out.

"Oh come on," Tamsin said, "You really want to do this now?"

"You were sent to bring in the Succubus," the guy in the driver's seat said, "not fall in love with her."

"Well you can't help who you fall for right…" Tamsin replied, dropping the bag she was carrying so she had more chance of defending herself.

Behind the three guys she saw a familiar face. A Valkyrie. One that she had fought alongside many times before. Tamsin had actually trained the younger Valkyrie, though the last she had heard Odin had Mena locked up, her mind had been broken. Tamsin had been in command during the battle, but she could do nothing to stop the mind feeder attacking Mena. It's something that Tamsin still felt guilty about to this day.

"Thought they had you locked up…" Tamsin said.

"Special assignment." Mena replied.

"Oh yeah," Tamsin said, not taking her eyes off the other Valkyrie as the three guys moved towards her, "and what's that?"

"You," Mena said, "he wants to see you."

"Well I don't want to see him." Tamsin said, feeling her mind start to cloud, "Get the fuck out of my head."

Two of the three guys grabbed Tamsin's arms, holding her in place.

"You're coming with us Tamsin," Mena said, "It's not a request."

Kenzi noticed as Bo hung up the phone, again, with a concerned look on her face.

"What's up BoBo?" Kenzi asked, as Lauren put some gel on her stomach, "Yo, Doc, that's cold… warning next time please."

"Sorry…" Lauren said with a little laugh.

"I can't reach Tamsin," Bo said, "she text saying she was on her way back, but she's not answering the phone, it's just ringing…"

"She's probably driving or something." Kenzi said.

"She would still answer the phone." Bo replied.

"Don't worry about it," Lauren said, "maybe she decided to be a little more conscious of the laws of the road."

"Have you tried Dyson?" Kenzi asked.

"He said she left the Dal nearly half an hour ago," Bo said, "she should be home by now."

The little human nodded.

"I'm sure she's fine," Kenzi said with a smile, "maybe she just bumped into an old friend or something…"

When Tamsin regained consciousness she was bound to a chair. Looking around her she let out a little laugh. Sitting opposite her was Rainer.

"How the hell are you still alive?" she asked.

"I'm on borrowed time…" he said, lifting up his shirt to show Tamsin the wound she had made with the sword, it still hadn't healed.

"How…?" Tamsin asked.

"The Druid." Rainer replied.

"He always was an asshole…" Tamsin said, "Do you want to tell me why I'm here?"

"I wanted to see you…" Odin said, stepping out of the shadows.

Tamsin swallowed hard, it had been a while since she had physically come face to face with Odin, and he still brought out a feeling of pure fear from within her.

"And you couldn't just call like everyone else…?" Tamsin asked.

"She doesn't love you Tamsin, she could never love you." Odin said.

"That may be so," Tamsin replied, "but I love her, and that's enough for me."

Bo was sitting at the Dal, she still hadn't been able to reach Tamsin and she was seriously starting to get worried. She had her head rested on her arms on top of the bar.

"How are you feeling?" Dyson asked.

"Been better," Bo replied, not lifting her head, "feels like I've got the Seven Dwarves in my head with pickaxes…"

"Do you need to feed?" Dyson asked.

"No…" Bo said, shaking her head, "feeding from Tamsin always holds me over for a while… I'm not hungry… it's like a headache…"

"Have you talked to Lauren?" Dyson asked.

"It's a headache Dyson…" Bo snapped, "Not like my head is going to explode or anything."

Trick looked on as Bo snapped at Dyson, it wasn't like her. Fae very rarely got headaches, they very rarely got sick, something else had to be in play.

"Any word on Tamsin?" Trick asked.

"No," Bo replied, "she still isn't answering her phone."

"I put an APB out on her truck," Dyson said, "as soon as anyone finds it, I'll know about it…"

As if on cue his phone rang.

"Yeah…" he said, answering it, "okay, where… great, thanks."

He hung up.

"They found her truck, outside a little store on West Street…" Dyson said, "It looks like there's been a struggle of some kind…"

"We need to find her Dyson…" Bo said, her face full of concern.

Tamsin could feel her defences being worn down, she was losing control of her own mind. As powerful as she was, having both Odin and Freya telling her how much Bo hated her, how much of a threat Bo was and how much Tamsin needed to destroy her, was a little bit more than the Valkyrie could handle.

"She needs to be destroyed Tamsin." Freya said, "You know it's true."

Tamsin shook her head a little.

"No…" she said.

"Yes," Freya replied, "the world depends on it, our world and yours."

Rainer stood watching what was happening, he was surprised that Tamsin was still holding out.

"No…" Tamsin said again, gritting her teeth.

"You really think my daughter could ever love someone like you?" Odin said, "You're a monster Tamsin. You are what she despises in the world. You're evil. You were born to destroy, not love."

Tamsin bowed her head, her eyes closed, she needed to fight it, she knew what was happening.

"It might be time to give her a break," Freya said, "let it sink in…"

Freya, Odin and Rainer all left the room, leaving Tamsin sitting there with her thoughts. Thoughts that had been planted in her head. Thoughts that were not her own.
