(A/N: We're getting close to the end of this one, hopefully I will have all of this story posted in due time. I really am sorry that I have made you all wait this long for me to finish. Anyway, on with the show!)
Chapter 36—Location, Location, Location
Pan had quietly excused herself from the rambunctious group when she sensed that Piccolo was on his way back. Television was boring and the kitchen was still off limits so it wasn't like she had much else to do, and besides she always enjoyed the fresh air. She scanned the horizon as she waited for Piccolo, it was past time for Goten to have showed up and she wondered where he could have gotten to, it wasn't like him to be late. The others would probably poke fun at him for it, but she didn't mind.
She could still hear the noises from inside the house Gohan, Vegeta, Uub, and Trunks had all been conned into playing with the kids. But that was a power that seemed to belong to the kids in their families, Kabocha had commanded everyone's attention from a very young age, Vegeta Jr. had not been much different, and Imo was always up for being the center of attention. She could still hear the ringing threat of getting blasted if she attempted to go anywhere near the kitchen or wherever the presents might be stored, and she knew well enough to take Bulla seriously in that department. Her adoptive sister was not one to say things lightly.
It was not long before her fiancé appeared and she flung her arms around him the moment that his feet touched the ground. A relieved sigh passed her lips as she pressed herself into him. Piccolo laughed softly before leaning down and capturing her lips in a gentle kiss. They'd only been trying out the whole kissing thing for few weeks, Pan had been unable to wait any longer and Piccolo had gotten to the point where he was willing to indulge her. The kiss deepened briefly as Pan leaned up into it, but then she pulled back and left Piccolo to issue a small but frustrated groan at the loss of contact.
"I've missed you Piccolo, how did it go?" she asked, suddenly nervous about their plans. But a bright smile crossed his lips and he gently gathered both of her hands between his own.
"Everything is set, in six months we will be married at the Look Out, Dende has agreed to officiate," he said softly, it was a simple statement, but it held so much weight for the both of them. Pan's eyes glinted brightly and her tail swished for a moment before wrapping around Piccolo's wrist.
"By the flower beds? Where I picked you to be mine?" her voice had a hopeful tilt to it and Piccolo couldn't help but smile as he nodded in response. She hugged him tight, with her arms around his neck her feet didn't reach the ground, but she'd never let the fact that he was a foot and a half taller than her stop her before and she wasn't about to start now.
"Where we picked each other, yes Pan," he replied quietly and she kissed him again, tears springing to her eyes even though she tried her hardest not to cry. She didn't know in that moment if she was feeling her own emotions or his, their bond was rarely so poorly controlled, but it didn't matter in the least. All that she had wanted for so long was to be married to the man that she loved and now she had a concrete date for that to happen.
