Crow tackled hugged me as I came out of Scott's language arts lesson. "She's done!" I stumbled back ward, my face turning red.
"Who's done with what?" She giggled and let go of me.
"Jamie! She's done with the costumes!" I groaned. I had been dreading this day for weeks. But Crow was genuinely happy so I plastered a smile on my face. She laughed. "You don't want to try it on?" She asked as we started walk toward Jamie and Maddy's room. I dropped my shoulders and shook my head.
"No." She punched my shoulder.
"You'll look fabulous." We grabbed Sean as he stumbled out a lab being chased by a girl with blonde hair.
"What? I just said you were pretty?" Sean yelped as he ducked a flying piece of lab equipment. I grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him in between Crow and I. He shook his head. "I just don't know where I went wrong." Crow and I exchanged a look. Maddy, Claire and Piotr (peter) appeared when we were walking up the stairs.
"Did you hear?" Maddy squealed. Crow grabbed her hands.
"Yeah, I'm so excited!" Claire squealed and they all started walking ahead of us. Piotr rubbed the back of his neck.
"I'm not the only one not looking forward to this right." Sean and I both nodded. When we got into the room we found it was missing a lot of costumes, unless Jamie expected us to fit into hers which was on a mannequin in the middle of the room. Jamie was sitting on the couch, her hair pulled up into a messy bun. She looked up when we entered the room.
"Hey guys." She muttered and laid her head back on the back of the couch. Maddy frowned.
"You ok?" Jamie smiled with her eyes closed.
"I've been working on your guys costumes non-stop." She slowly got to her feet and went to her closet. She came back five black bags. "Your costumes are in there." She muttered as she sat back down on the couch.
"Dibs on first!" Claire cried and ducked into the bathroom. Jamie got up and followed her in. We all sat down, waiting to see the finished product. When Claire came out, she was wearing a white dress over a dark purple jump suit that came up to her neck and you could see from the slit in the side of her dress. She had knee high white boots, a white headdress that came from her chin and curved up above her hair with a small purple bird skull in the middle of her forehead. She also had white makeup and white hoop earrings. Her hair was brushed out and settled down to her waist. She spread her wings and spun around. "It looks amazing Jamie!" Jamie smiled. Some of her energy seemed to be returning. She grabbed maddy and her costume and they both changed and put on their makeup. With Jamie in her costume she seemed to be waking up. She grabbed another black bag and and Crow's elbow and tugged them into the bathroom. Sean whistled.
"Now you get to see your girlfriend in her costume." I felt my face burn.
"Shut up, Cassidy." I muttered. When Crow came out I forgot how to breath. She had a dress in the exact design as Claire's but her's was a dark magenta. She didn't have a jumpsuit on under it either. She had on a smaller on that peeked out of the dresses low cut neckline and on her thighs like a pair of shorts. She had heels that matched the dress and her dress was pulled up half up half down. She had purple makeup and looked stunning. Sean nudged me.
"Say something." He muttered.
"You look, I mean, wow." I stammered. Crow laughed and Claire looped her arms through hers.
"He has a way with words doesn't he?" Claire whispered in a not so quiet voice. I rolled my eyes and Maddy hugged Crow's waist. Jamie gestured at Piotr and handed him a bag.
"Power up, like full on metal guy with this on." He frowned.
