Ch 35: The Seafoam showcase
It was early in the morning on the main Seafoam island and Serena was up with her pokemon. She had Charla and Absol out with her. Beside them were Ash , Pikachu, and his Charizard.
"Alright Charla remember to focus in your rage and aggression towards the center of your attack." Serena said.
Charla aimed her head straight up and tried to gather her rage and aggression.
She knew Charizard was watching and did her best to gather her aggression. It had been a few days since they arrived on the Seafoam islands, since then Ash and Serena both worked with their Charizard on how to use their aggression and rage at will.
She focused herself and her emotions like Serena and Ash taught her. She was able to bring up her rage and aggression all at once. She felt another fire light in her stomach as her tail flame grew even larger.
"Grauu." Charla roared as she unleashed a massive Fire blast with al the energy focused in the center. Once it was high enough Serena turned to Charla.
"Fly into it!" She shouted. Charla flew up after it , much to Ash and his pokemon's surprise.
"Grau?" Charizard growled in confusion. Charla flew right into the fire just as it exploded with all the energy and aggression she had put into it.
Charla came out using her wings to force the fire and explosions around her in a dazzling manner before landing without a scratch on her.
"Awesome Charla it's just how I wanted it to go!" Serena shouted.
"Very impressive Serena." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said nodding.
It wasn't a true Blast burn yet, but after seeing Charla pull off such an impressive attempt, then fly into it and come out without a scratch, even he blushed a little.
Charla turned and noticed this, and smiled before blushing also. She had now impressed him even more.
"So you have Charla's routine down?" Ash asked.
"Yup, she's more than ready for the showcase today. Absol has been ready for a long time, he's just excited that he gets to perform again." Serena said.
"Sol!" Asbol shouted.
"Well I know you'll do well today Serena. You've more than prepared for it." Ash said.
"I know, I haven't forgotten Lavander town." Serena said before Ash put his hands on her shoulders.
"That's not a bad thing, it means that you learned from it and bettered yourself. It shows that you've grown as a trainer Serena." Ash said.
Serena blushed before kissing him. Serena realized more and more how grateful she was about being with Ash. He was kind, supportive,loving, always living life to the fullest, and always did everything he could for those he cared for.
"I love you." She whispered in his ear.
Later that day they met back at the hotel with Brock and Lucy for lunch in the hotel restaurant.
They had let their pokemon out to eat beside their table.
"So where is the showcase happening?" Lucy asked.
"Another hotel. It's suppose to be the biggest and most expensive hotel on the Seafoam islands. It's happening at 3:00. I also hear that Aria is going to be there as one of the judges." Serena said.
"Really. " Ash said.
"Aria, I hear that she's more than just a performer." Lucy started.
"She's also an aura guardian." Serena said.
"How?" Lucy started.
"We've met her before." Brock said.
"Really." Lucy said.
"Yeah she even fought team rocket with us." Serena said.
"Is it me or does it seem like a lot of people we run in to are aura guardians. There was Aria, Keso, Martin, Lex, and Clark." Brock said.
"Now that you mention it, we have met many members of the brotherhood." Ash said.
"How many guardians are there in Kanto? I know there were a lot in Kalos." Serena asked.
"We'll it's said only the mentor of a brotherhood knows exactly how many guardians they have under their guidance. It is also rumored that the grand mentor knows the name of every aura guardian in the world". Lucy said.
"That's incredible." Brock said.
"So Serena, you're using Charla and Absol right?". Lucy asked.
"That's right, I'm excited to see Absol perform today since he hasn't been in an official performance in a while." Serena said.
"Have you considered mega evolving him during your performance?" Ash asked.
"Huh I hadn't, that's a good idea. Thank you." Serena said.
"Who will you be using first?" Brock asked.
"Absol, I want to make sure had has a chance to shine out there." Serena said.
"That's a good choice." Ash said.
"I wonder if Thomas will be here. He wasn't at Lavender town." Serena said.
"He could be." Lucy said.
"So do you know what the showcase will entail. Backgrounds, costumes, or something new?" Brock asked.
"I hear it's something brand new. Something that none of us even know about." Serena said.
"So they're throwing a curveball at you?" Lucy asked.
"I know we can handle it , whatever it is." Serena said.
"That's right. You're ready for anything." Ash said as Serena blushed a little.
After finishing lunch, serena went back to her room and got her dress before meeting the rest of the group in the lobby.
"Let's go." Serena said. They made their way across the strip of buildings to a very large and luxurious looking hotel. It was called the Mashton suites. The hotel was much larger and fancier looking than the other hotels and was connected to the beach.
"This is the place." Ash said.
"You're right. This place is astounding, I can't imagine how much it would cost to stay here." Brock said.
The group walked into the lobby and saw it was very well furnished and carpeted with the non carpeted sections made of fine marble. The lobby was also decorated with old paintings as well as large marble chess pieces and pokemon.
In the lobby there were many wealthy looking people and well groomed pokemon beside them. They also saw many performers with their pokemon walking around.
"We're definitely in the right place." Lucy said.
"It looks like you sign in over there." Ash said as he saw many of the performers at the reception desk.
Serena waited in line for several minutes before she reached the front.
"Welcome to the Seafoam showcase. Are you here to register?" The man behind the desk asked.
"I am, my name is Serena Achille." Serena said.
"Alright can I see your ribbon band?" He asked before she took it out.
"Very good. You're all set." He said.
Serena walked back into the group when she saw a familiar face ahead of her.
Standing across the lobby was none other than Thomas.
"Thomas." Serena said. Thomas saw Serena and walked over to her and the group.
"Serena, guys. So good to see you all." Thomas said.
"So you made it here. I haven't seen you since the SS. Anne." Thomas said.
"Well Ash has had a few gym battles and I was able to compete in the Lavender town showcase." Serena said.
"How did you do?" He asked.
Serena sweat dropped.
"So how have you been doing?" She asked.
"Well I competed in another 2 showcases. I got second in one and third in the other." Thomas said.
"Good work."
"Thank you, have you caught any new pokemon lately?" He asked.
"I actually caught 3 since we last met. Want to see them?" Serena asked.
"Sure." Thomas said.
Serena let out her Misdreavus, Scyther, and Vaporeon.
"Wow, a Misdreavus, Scyther, and Vaporeon. Amazing, I actually caught an Eeveelution too." Thomas said.
"Really." Serena said.
"Yeah here she is." Thomas said as he let out a large Flareon. The Flareon was clearly older than Vaporeon .
When Vaporeon saw the Flareon his eyes widened. Ash and Lucy could feel his aura change much upon seeing her.
"Vaporeon?" Serena asked upon seeing his eyes tear up.
"Are you alright?" She asked before Vaporeon walked over to Flareon.
"Vap." He said.
Upon hearing him and looking at him again, Flareon stared intensely at Vaporeon.
That was when Serena noticed that Flareon had a grey birthmark on her side.
"Where did you catch her?" Serena asked.
"In some wooded areas near route 7 a few weeks ago. A storm had just passed the night before." Thomas said.
It all made sense then.
"Thomas, your Flareon is my Vaporeon's mother." Serena said.
"What?" Thomas said.
"I think Serena's right. She has the birthmark and everything." Lucy said.
"I can't believe we actually found her." Ash said.
"How can she be his mother?" Thomas asked.
Serena explained to Thomas about Vaporeon and his mother.
"I, I had no idea. That explains why Flareon seemed so upset when I first caught her. Flareon , I'm so sorry." Thomas said.
"Well Serena wasn't going to have Vaporeon perform today, so how about you have Flareon stay with us during the showcase so she can be with her son." Brock said.
"It's the least I can do." Thomas said.
A few minutes later Ash and the others were about to part ways with Serena and Thomas.
"Good luck out there." Ash said.
"We'll take good care of Vaporeon and Flareon." Brock said.
"Thanks guys, I'll see you after the showcase." Serena said before she and Thomas walked off.
"Now we just need to get some seats." Ash said.
"Ash, guys is that you?" A familiar voice said. Ash and the others turned to see Mikey with his Eevee and an older man with graying hair, green eyes. He wore a black suit and tie.
"Mikey? What are you doing here?" Ash asked.
"We're here to see the showcase. This is my dad James, dad these are the people who helped me get into the Knights." Mikey said.
"Nice to meet you all. Ash, Brock, and Lucy was it. I suppose Serena would be the one competing." James said.
"Yes she is." Ash said.
"So is this one of the hotels you said your father owns?" Lucy asked Mikey.
"Yes, this is my hotel. You know if you want to see your friend compete we have special box seats with the best view. If you'd like to sit with us?" James asked.
"Thanks we'd love to." Ash said.
"No, thank you for helping my son get into the knights. It's the least I can do." James said.
"Well thank you." Brock said.
"That's not all, a very special guest has come to this showcase and will be sharing a box with us." Mikey said.
"Who?" Ash asked.
"It's better if it's a surprise." James said.
Serena was in the dressing room as she changed into her usual performance dress and did her hair up into a pony tail.
Absol was beside her and could see some distress in her eyes.
She had told herself she had gotten past what happened in Lavander town, but now that she was back in a showcase, she just kept seeing herself failing as she did last time.
"Sol." Absol said.
Serena looked down at him and saw the confidence in his expression.
It then reminded her of his many times he performed with her back in Kalos. How much they both loved it. She smiled too and knelt down in front of him before hugging him.
"Thank you Absol. We can and will do this." Serena said.
"Absol." He said back.
Inside the large theater room , 3 judges sat near the front row. One was a Nurse Joy, the other was a young man wearing a white suit and blue tie. He had somewhat long brown hair with blue eyes and a very serious expression.
Sitting to his left was Aria.
"This should be exciting. I hear many good performers will be here today." Nurse Joy said.
"We'll see how good they are." The man int he suit said in a very serious tone.
"Come on Seto, lighten up. You take things too seriously." Aria said.
Meanwhile James and Mikey lead the group up to their private box.
"So where are your brothers Mikey?" Ash asked.
"They're out with the knights evolving as many pokemon as they can." Mikey said.
"I see." Lucy said.
"Here we are." James said as he opened the door to the private box.
From the box they could see the entire theater.
"Wow these are great seats." Brock said.
"That's why we're here." Another familiar voice said.
Ash and the others turned to see none other than Daniel Rian and his wife Serina sitting in the box.
"Daniel!?" Ash said in disbelief.
"Pika!" Pikachu said also very surprised.
"I told you it would be worth a surprise." James said. Daniel got up and walked over to them.
Brock was shaking as he gave a very nervous look.
"Ddddaniel Rain." He stuttered.
"It's actually you." Lucy said.
"I didn't expect to see you here Ash." Daniel said.
"I didn't expect to see you either." Ash said.
"Wait , you know Daniel Rian!" Mikey said in disbelief.
"I've known Ash for about 5 years now. I was the one who sent him on his quest through the Kanto region." Daniel said.
"That's right!" Lucy said remembering how Ash and Serena told them.
"Mr. Rian. It's a privilege to get to meet you." Brock said still shaking.
"I know who you are, Lucy of the battle pike." Daniel said.
"And if I'm not mistaken, aura guardian." He said to her via aura message.
"I am." She said.
"And you are?" Daniel asked Brock.
"Brock, I'm the son of the Pewter city gym leader." Brock said.
"So you're both friends of Ash." He said.
"We are." They said.
"Pleasure to meet you both. This is my wife Serina." Daniel said.
"Hello." She said as she got up and stood beside him.
"What are you doing in the Seafoam islands?" Ash asked.
"We're having a little vacation. I'm with child, and we thought we'd have some more time to ourselves before having a child." Serina said.
"You're pregnant?" Ash said.
"Yes, she is." Daniel said.
"Well congratulations." Lucy said.
"So Ash what brings you here?" Daniel said as he petted the side of Pikachu's head.
"Serena is competing in this showcase." Ash said.
"I see, so how is your journey going?" Daniel asked.
"I have 5 badges." Ash said.
"Impressive, but Oak has informed me that Gary has 7 badges now." Daniel said.
"He does?" Ash said in disbelief.
"Yes, but you're traveling for more than one person's journey. I've found that in doing so , you'll have twice the experience." Daniel said.
"I think the show will be starting soon. We should sit down." Serina said.
The group sat down as the spotlights shined on the center of the stage. As they sat, Flareon and Vaporeon sat beside each other.
Flareon licked the side of her son's head.
"Flare." She said saying how much she'd missed him and asking if his new trainer had been treating him kindly.
"Vap." Vaporeon said saying Serena had taken good care of him and that she was a good trainer.
"Flare." She said back saying that despite the fact that he accidentally separated the two of them, Thomas as also a good trainer. He had raised her and his other pokemon well and clearly cared for them.
"Vap." Vaporeon said asking if she had ever performed before.
"Flare." Flareon said nodding.
The master of ceremonies appeared in his multicolored suit. He looked out at the crowd and lifted his top hat.
"Welcome one and all to the Seafoam islands pokemon showcase. Today we have 3 special judges to oversee the new first round crowd pleaser." The master of ceremonies said before the curtain raised showing and empty stage.
Moments later, pieces of the floor began to move up, then down, and across. The floor also opened up showing a pool of water, lights shined across the stage and moved.
"The changing stage. You never what will entail you here. So to all performers, good luck." The master of ceremonies said as the crowd applauded.
"A changing stage, this should be interesting." Brock said.
"I can't wait to see what Serena has in store." Ash said.
Serena and Absol waited as the performer on stage and her Mankey finished their routine.
"Let's hear it for Suzy and her Mankey!" The Master of ceremonies shouted as the crowd applauded.
"They were good." Nurse Joy said.
"Not good enough." Seto said.
"I thought they were fine enough." Aria said.
"Too plain. I need something truly impressive." Seto said.
"Now for our next contestants. Serena Achille and her Absol!" The master of ceremonies shouted.
"Go Serena!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!".
Vaporeon also looked closely at his trainer.
"Vap!" He shouted.
Aria looked out at Serena and then whispered.
"Do well Serena."
Serena looked out at the crowd, then to Absol.
"Let's do this." She said.
"Sol." Absol said.
Absol focused around him using Detect. Just before a piece of the floor could move up under him he leapt out of the way and onto another part that just came up. He then leapt to another as it came up.
"Now Double team!" Serena shouted. Absol made a dozen or so copies of himself that also each began leaping across the raising pieces of floor.
"She's doing good." Ash said.
"Vap!" Vaporeon shouted.
"She has a good start." Serina said.
"Night slash!" Serena shouted.
"Ab sol!" Absol shouted as he and each of his copies unleashed a night slash at another only to have it narrowly miss and hid behind them. Lighting up the stage with night slashes and move agile movements from he copies.
"Very impressive." Nurse Joy said.
"Yes, well trained." Aria said.
"It's decent." Seto said.
Serena knew it was time for the real wow factor. She took out her mega evolution stone and touched it. Moments later Absol mega evolved and leapt down in the center of the stage.
"Woah mega evolution!" Mikey shouted.
"Night Slash into Quick attack!" Serena shouted. Mega Absol sprinted across the stage with incredible speed and elegance while slashing the parts of the stage into peaces. He then leapt off the falling peaces , smashing into each of his copies.
When he reached the front of the stage, he smashed the last of the clones with Psycho cut and unleashed a dazzling display of the remaining particles of the copies around him with the light from the Psychic energy.
"Alright Serena!" Ash shouted.
As he was followed by an uproar from the crowd.
"Incredible." Nurse Joy said.
"Outstanding." Aria said.
"Impressive, finally someone with something to show." Seto said.
Serena and Absol bowed before they walked off stage.
"Flare." Flareon said saying Serena did well.
"Vap." Vaporeon said claiming she was a very good trainer.
"They'd be mad not to move her on to the next stage." Serina said.
"She did do well." Daniel said. He noticed the way Ash looked down at Serena.
After the other performers and their pokemon went. Serena and Absol stood with them on the stage behind the master of ceremonies.
"We've had many good contestants here today, however, the judges have decided on 3 of you. The first performer to be moving on will be Tiffany Long." The master of ceremonies said as a young woman and her Krabby stepped forward.
"The next performer is Thomas Moore."
"Alright." Thomas said as he and his Kadabra walked up.
"Last chance." Serena said.
"And finally, Serena Achille!".
"She did it!" Ash shouted.
"Vap!" Vaporeon shouted.
"We did it, we're moving on!" Serena shouted.
"Absol!".
Daniel and Serina saw how Ash was reacting.
"He certainly loves her." Daniel said.
"He reminds me of another young trainer about that age who was in love with another Serina." Serina said.
"He does." Daniel said.
"We were about that old weren't we?" Serina asked.
"No I had just finished active duty." Daniel said.
"Still did you want to?" Serina asked.
"I did. I would have if my father's death hadn't guilted me into joining the air force." Daniel said.
"Maybe you should tell him that." Serina said.
Daniel looked back at Ash.
Back in the changing rooms Serena waited with Charla.
"We made if this far Charla, we can win this, I know we can." Serena said.
"Grauu!" Charla growled.
"Just remember , even if you are full of aggression, you can stay focused." Serena said.
Charla nodded.
They saw Thomas finishing up his routine with his Cloyster.
"Now use Water pulse!" Thomas shouted as his Cloyster unleashed a pulse of water around the fountain of water he had just created. 2 rainbows now formed over the pulses of water that flew up.
The crowd applauded as Thomas bowed.
"Our turn." Serena said as she and Charla walked out.
Charizard was now out so he could see Charla perform.
"So that's the Charmander she took from Oak?" Daniel asked.
"That's Charla." Ash said.
"My, she's grown." Daniel said.
"Now for the final performance. Serena Achille, and her Charizard." The master of ceremonies said as Serena and Charla stepped forward.
"Alright, let's do this. Charla use Flamethrower!" Serena shouted.
Charla leapt up and unleashed massive jet of fired around her as she used her wings to spin herself around in mid air while fire flew around her in a sphere.
"Now!" Serena shouted.
"Grauu!" Charla roared as she hurled her wings forward and unleashed the fire out and around her even more. As the wind hit the fire it generated many shapes and patterns in the fire.
"Amazing." Aria said.
"Fire fist." Serena said. Charla slammed her now fire cover right fist into the ground then whipped herself around with her wings. The resulting wind made the fire fly out to her right in a half arch like manner.
She landed on her other fist and then whipped herself around again , generating another arch of fire to her left.
"Very impressive." Daniel said.
"Grauu." Charizard growled also sounding very impressed.
"Time for the show stopper, I know we can do this." Serena said before she turned to Charla and nodded.
Charla nodded back and then focused as she channeled her rage and aggression. When she had it, Charla aimed her head straight up and roared as her tail flame grew and she unleashed a massive fire blast with her rage and aggression focused in the center.
Charla then flew up and into the fire just after it exploded and shot fire everywhere. Charizard and the others watched in amazement as Charla twirled herself around used her wings to move the fire and energy around herself before she landed and let the energy and fire come out around her.
The crowd unleashed an massive applause as Serena and Charla bowed.
"That's how you do it." Aria said.
"Alright Serena!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!".
"Vap!".
"Grauu!" Charizard roared.
"Great Job Serena!" Brock shouted.
Daniel and Serina looked at Ash again before Serina looked at Daniel.
"I'll talk to him." Daniel said.
Charla looked up and saw Charizard in the crowd as he looked back at her.
A few minutes later, Serena, Thomas and the third performer stood with their pokemon on the stage.
"Our judges have made their decisions. All three of you and your pokemon have performed very well. But we can only have one first place performer." The master of ceremonies said before he turned to them.
"Our first place winner is none other than, Serena Achille and her Charizard." The master of ceremonies said.
"She did it!" Ash shouted.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared.
"Vap!".
"We did it." Serena said as the master of ceremonies walked over and placed a golden ribbon badge on her ribbon band
"Our second place winner is Tiffany Long and her Hitmonlee." The master of ceremonies said as he placed a silver ribbon on her band.
"Finally our third place winner is Thomas Moore." The master of ceremonies said as he placed a bronze ribbon in his band.
"Let's get down there and congratulate her." Lucy said as the crowd let out more applause.
As the group got up and walked out of the Box, Daniel grabbed Ash by the shoulder and stopped him.
"Ash can I talk to you for a moment?" Daniel asked.
"Alright, what's going on?" Ash asked.
"I've been watching you and Serena here and I can feel how you feel about her through your aura. You love her don't you." He said.
"I do." Ash said.
"You've loved her since Kalos. 5 years ago, now you're both adults. Is this relationship permanent?" Daniel asked.
"Of course it is, I couldn't imagine being with anyone else other than Serena." Ash said.
"I had the same feeling about my Serina when I was about your age. The difference is I waited." Daniel said.
"Waited for what?" Ash asked.
"You know what." Daniel said.
Ash looked down for a moment before turning back to Daniel.
"What are you asking me when?" Ash asked.
"I'm asking you, if you love her and want to spend the rest of your life with her. What are you waiting for?" Daniel said before he walked out.
Ash looked at Pikachu, then Charizard who gave just as uneasy looks before they walked out of the box.
A few minutes later Serena and Thomas, still in their performance attire, met with the others
"You did it Serena!" Lucy shouted.
"Congratulations." Brock said.
"Thanks guys." Serena said before Ash wrapped his arms around her and lifted her up.
"I'm so proud of you." Ash said before Serena blushed a little.
"Great job out there Serena." Thomas said as Ash let her down.
" You to Thomas." Serena said.
"Thanks, it was good seeing you again." Thomas said.
Vaporeon and Flareon turned to each other.
"Flare." Flareon said.
"Vap." Vaporeon said.
"So what's going to happen with them?" Thomas asked.
"They're mother and child, we should let them decide." Serena said.
Vaporeon turned to Flareon and lowered his head before looking back at his mother.
"Vap." Vaporeon said.
"Flare." Flareon said nodding. Vaporeon said that he loved her and was so glad he could see her again, but he wanted to stay with Serena and perform.
Flareon agreed, that he wasn't a baby anymore. That he had grown up much and should follow his own path.
The two nudged their heads together before walking back to their trainers.
"It was great seeing you guys again. I'll see you at the next showcase." Thomas said before he and Flareon walked off.
"It was good seeing you guys again too. But we have to get going also." Mikey said before he and his dad walked off.
"Hey where'd Daniel and Serina go?" Lucy asked as she noticed they weren't there.
"Daniel and Serina were here?" Serena asked.
Ash thought more about what Daniel said ash sighed before he saw Pikachu and Charizard nodded at him.
"We should get back to the hotel." Brock said as they started to walk out.
When they got outside Ash stopped Serena.
"Hey guys, go ahead without us." Ash said.
"Why?" Lucy asked.
"I just wanted to congratulate Serena alone." Ash said.
"Alright we'll see you later." Brock said before he and Lucy walked off.
" What's going on Ash?" Serena asked before she saw Ash give her a passionate look.
"Well I was thinking , now that we both have a Charizard we could have some alone time just us and them in the air." Ash said.
Serena blushed a little.
"Alright that sounds nice." Serena said. Charla too blushed as Serena climbed onto her back and Ash onto Charizard's back.
The two Charizards lifted off and soared around the island close together. Ash , Serena, and Pikachu could see the entire island and its beauty from where they were.
"It's beautiful." Serena said.
"It is." Ash said as the two Charizards continued flying for nearly 30 minutes. By then the sun was starting to set.
"Hey how about we find somewhere nice to watch the sunset." Ash said.
"Sounds good." Serena said. Charizard noticed a peak overlooking most of the island and started flying there with Charla close behind.
A few minutes later the two Charizards were laying on the peak beside each other with their trainers resting up against their stomachs beside each other and Pikachu in Ash's lap.
They watched the sun set over the ocean horizon.
"It doesn't get better than this." Serena said as her head was rested against Ash's shoulder.
"No, it doesn't." Ash said as he looked at her.
"Quite another day, geez I say that a lot don't I." Serena said.
"I don't mind it. Exciting things happen to us." Ash said.
"That's true." Serena said.
Ash looked at Serena again and felt her through their aura connection. He thought about the first day he met her back in Pallet town. Seeing her again in Kalos. When he realized whey were more than just friends. When they opened up their aura connection. When they declared their love for each other. When he saw Reduka bring her back from stone.
He thought about every moment they had together. He then knew , he knew what Daniel was telling him and knew it was time. Serena could feel Ash's passion through their connection and turned to see a tear coming down from his face.
"Ash , what's going on?" She asked.
Ash looked back at her with a very passionate expression.
"I was just thinking , about us. Everything we've done and been through together. Also about you, how much I love you. How much I've always loved you." Ash said before he pulled her up to her knees and he got on his own and held her hands.
"I want this, what we have for the rest of my life and beyond. I don't want anyone other than you Serena. I'm ready now. " Ash said.
Serena's face turned redder than it ever had before as she nervously asked.
"What do you mean?".
Pikachu reached into the back of Ash's bag and climbed back onto his shoulder with something in his mouth.
Ash reached his hand back and took what was in Pikachu's hand.
Ash then slowly placed it in Serena's hands. She opened them to see a golden ring with a sapphire colored diamond in it. Serena slowly raised her head back to Ash.
"I'm asking you one question. Will you marry me?".
Serena felt her lungs loose breath and her knees wobble.
Ash had just done it. He asked her the question to end all questions. The question she had always dreamed he would ask her, ever since she was a little girl.
She put on just as a passionate face as Ash and before grabbing his head and kissing him.
"Yes." She said for a moment before kissing him again.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted.
"Grauu!" The two Charizard roared before turning to each other.
"Grauu!" Charla growled as she blushed.
Even Charizard's face turned a bit red. For years he thought he might never love again after Delphox broke his heart. But now he saw that he was wrong. He watched Charla grow from a Charmander to an adult Charizard. He knew hew as a Charizard now and knew what kind of Charizard she was.
He also knew something else, he could and wanted to be with her.
"Grauu." He growled back before moving his head over and licking the side of her face.
"Grauu!" Charla roared before she nudged her head against his. The 2 couples then stared off into the sunset as twilight came to pass.

Yup it finally happened, they're engaged. I was really hoping i'd get this chapter done before I had to go.
I don't know if I'll get another chapter done, maybe, maybe not

There are some things I will point out. Charla and Charizard are officially in a romantic relationship .
Will Ash and Serena start 'doing it'? Some of you have asked me this and I will answer all of you, this story is rated M for mature for a reason. Ash and Serena have not done it yet since they've been together, but once they're married they will.
Also I should note about the last chapter was in fact based off a chapter of the electric tale of Pikachu manga. Which you should all check out by the way as it is a very good comic
