Time Fixers: Nicktoons of the Future
Episode 17: Shadow of the Past
Plot: DarkEvil LaserPants has done the ultimate evil the Nicktoons must face. However, Danny keeps Darry and the others away from the battle with no explanation why. This angers Darry that he taps into the dangerous power of Ghost Rage. Almost getting his friends and family hurt, Darry runs away and meets a former villain who reveals to him the truth of Danny's past. Can Darry and the others arrive in time to aid the Nicktoons to stop DarkEvil and prevent the evil he intends to unleash?
Part 1
In the far regions of the Ghost Zone, in a certain realm where a lot of large gears and cogs were turning and clocks were ticking, Clockwork was standing in front of his time portal watching history unfold. But behind him, a small portal appeared and a certain square black-cladded figure steps out and stands behind Clockwork, who continued to stare into his portal without even turning. "You know why I'm here." DarkEvil LaserPants told the ghost.
"Of course I do." Clockwork said without even turning to face him as he morphed into an old man. "I know everything."
DarkEvil activates his beamsword and points at him, "Good. You should have realized by now that I know a villain that Danny Phantom had feared years ago. It's about time you give me answers."
Outside Clockwork's realm, the SpongeCogs were lying on floating craters, bored. SpongeCog 008 was sharping his blades when he asks SpongeCog 001, "Why is the Master taking so long?"
"Rawrr grr rar." SpongeCog 010 replied with a smirk of sharp metal teeth.
"Relax brothers," SpongeCog settled, "I'm sure our Master has a good reason to come here. By the look of things, he seems confident that his plan will succeed."
"Too bad his confidence is about to burst." SpongeCog's eyes widen when he sees Darry Phantom fly towards him with Tammy, Tommy, and SpongeTron inside the Specter Speeder behind him.
"Dude, whatever plot your boss is planning might work, but there's five obstacles standing in your way!" The ghost boy hops on a floating crater, crossing his arms proudly, "One!"
The Speeder ejects his remaining team as Tammy hops on each crumbling crater until she lands on a stable platform. She whips out her magical jump rope, "Two!"
Tommy was about to fall into oblivion until a floating purple trampoline appears which Tommy hops off and lands safely. He takes out a gold star which he splits into three sharp gold shurikens, "Three!"
The purple trampoline swirls around until it forms into a fairy baby with a strand of purple hair and eyes. "Poof!" it said seriously.
Finally, SpongeTron rockets upward and drops on a crater, pounding a giant metal fist in the ground. He raises his two fists prepared for battle, "Five!"
"And we're..." Darry said as he flew toward his team. Coming together, they all shout in unison, "THE NICKTOONS!"
"About time for some action," SpongeCog grinned as he gestured to his fellow SpongeCogs, "Bots, rip those squishies and squishy-lover to bits!"
SpongeCog 013 jumped to a great distance and slams both fists. Luckily, the Nicktoons spilt apart before SpongeCog 013 could crush them. He looks up when Darry Phantom lands an uppercut to his metal jaw. SpongeCog 008 pulls off his cloak, releasing four katanas. Tammy merges the ends of her rope together to form a long magical baton that she twirls around. As Tammy deflects the swords with her baton, SpongeCog 010 growls and pounces around towards Tommy with his sharp teeth bared. Poof turns into his magic rifle, locked and loaded, and Tommy blasts the robot's feet with his magic rifle, knocking him down, and then his weapon disappears as Poof changes into the chain hammer which he throws one end at SpongeCog 010 and the chain wraps around him like a leash. SpongeTron charged with his large fists at SpongeCog 001, who quickly dodged and lengthened his sharp red claws.
As the fight goes on, Darry takes a moment to look in the distance toward the inside of Clockwork's realm and see DarkEvil LaserPants threatening Clockwork with a beamsword. Darry gasped and is about to rescue Clockwork until SpongeCog 013 grabs him by the leg and throws him into another floating crater. Just as Darry recovered, he saw SpongeCog 013 in the air coming right at him with his fists held high, about to pound him into the dirt. Rings of light formed around him as he turns to human form. As a human in the Ghost Zone, he is able to phase into the crater and out just as SpongeCog 013 pounds into it. Darry falls off and turns into Darry Phantom again to blast eyebeams at 013. With the robot momentarily stung, Darry quickly flew into Clockwork's domain.
In the time-altering realm, DarkEvil was still threatening Clockwork. "You will tell me what I need to know." he fiercely demanded.
"Why should I?" Clockwork asked unafraid, his form into that of a child.
This made DarkEvil angry, "I demand you tell me what you know about HIM!" DarkEvil plunges toward Clockwork, only for him to phase through him. DarkEvil stared at Clockwork, believing he could have slashed at him, but couldn't.
"Though we both exist out of time, I don't have the knowledge you seek," Clockwork advised, "And do you really think you can control HIM with fear just as you do to your cloned robotic pawns?"
"I've seen it before and you should know it too." DarkEvil simply replied. "He does the same thing; and with him working with me, we can control EVERYONE with fear."
"You should worry about who is the one in control." Clockwork warned as he turned into an adult. "It may not end so well in your favor."
"It will go just fine for me as soon as you tell me-" but before he could attempt another strike at Clockwork, he was suddenly tackled to the ground by Darry.
"Just when I thought you couldn't sink any lower." Darry said as he held DarkEvil down on the ground. "What makes you think you can come out here and ambush Clockwork?"
"I'm here to learn about your father's worst enemy," DarkEvil bitterly explained, "Who is soon to be my new 'friend'."
"What?" Darry wondered until DarkEvil swiftly kicked Darry off of him and he stood up. But Darry sat up as he added, "There's not a ghost out there who would ever join you."
"Oh, but this ghost will." DarkEvil explained as he activated a gauntlet on his arm and a portal appeared in front of him. "After all, if your father is too afraid to even face him, he's definitely willing to team up with me to destroy him and his team."
Darry was baffled by this, but before he could ask any questions, DarkEvil departed through the portal. "Hey, wait!" Darry called, but the portal already closed behind him. Darry curled his fingers into fists and turns to Clockwork, "You let him get away! Why did you do that?!"
"It was not his time yet," Clockwork explained monotonously, morphing into an old man.
As the rest of the Nicktoons continued to fight off the SpongeCog robots, beams of light suddenly appeared over all four robots and they suddenly vanished into thin air, much to the team's confusion. "Did we win?" SpongeTron asked.
As the twins look around for the SpongeCogs, the Specter Speeder hovers next to them with Darry at the wheel. They, Poof, and SpongeTron hop in when Tommy asked, "He got away again, did he?"
Darry was clenching the steering wheel in his fist until he took a deep breath and said calmly, "Yes, he did. But next time, he won't be." He pulls the wheel upward as the Speeder rockets back to the Fenton Portal.
At Fenton Works in the real world, Yuki cleared her throat as she practices speaking in the living room, "'Ladies, gentlemen, sea creatures, and shamans...' No that's not it... 'My fellow other-worldly sisters and brethren...' Ugh, that's lame." She ponders when she smiles and salutes, "'My name is Yuki Fenton and I am proud to be your Nicktoon comrade!'" But she frowns and crumbles the paper of her supposed speech and throws it aside with the rest in a trash bin.
Her fellow Cadets were on the couch playing video games when Kida states, "Relax Yuks. You got three days to do the speech. Play video games with us."
"Games..." Twitchy and Crash said mindlessly as their brains are hard-wired into the screen.
"But we gotta be prepared for our initiation ceremony." Yuki said, still looking nervous. "As leader, I gotta make sure we all look like real Nicktoons and am prepared to accept the role with highest honor."
"Oh boy! Oh boy!" Junior said eagerly, "I can't wait for us to be officially real Nicktoons and save mankind! And fishkind…and Jujukind…and ghostly kind…and fairly kind…and-"
"We get it, Junior." Kida interrupted with a dull frown.
Darry just arrived through the front door after dropping off his friends at their hometowns and hearing Yuki's determination. He smiles in amusement as he walks toward the kitchen, while patting Yuki on the head. He goes inside, encountering his father and Aunt Jazz. He goes to the fridge, saying, "Looks like my little sis and her teammates are gonna play with the big kids soon."
"Yep. I'm proud that both of you are following in your father's footsteps. Isn't that right, Dan?" Jazz teased him.
"Yeah," Danny said, faking a grin. "It's great..."
But Jazz can see through him and frowned, "Danny, you should be proud of your kids. Aren't you happy that Yuki is gonna be official teammates with her brother?"
"Of course I am." Danny admitted. "But I mean she is only twelve and a bit rusty when it comes to fighting. And with the recent enemies that have risen, I don't think it's too safe to have her and the younger kids going around to battle just yet."
"Come on, Dad, she's a Fenton," Darry cheered on, "We're the next generation of Amity Park's greatest ghost hunters...well, aside from Valerie."
Danny sighed, "And I was hoping you would take after your mother and me and work at Aixon Labs…or be a writer."
Jazz smiled, embracing her nephew, saying, "At least SOMEone appreciates our ghost fighting family. Remember when you and I were kids? We weren't even interested, not to mention embarrassed by our folks and their obsession."
"Right. I guess life's funny that way." Danny said, smiling at the memory. "It seems like yesterday Dad was lecturing us in the Fenton Lab about what to do when we see a ghost, and we'd sneak off while he wasn't looking."
Jazz sighed dreamily and states, "Remember the time I first had acne? Mom and Dad thought I caught a ghostly parasite and sprayed my face with the EctoFoamer. It took three days to wash the ectoplasm out of my hair."
"How about during my days as Danny Phantom?" Danny mentioned happily, "They thought I was a menace among Amity Park, so they tried to hunt me and rip me apart molecule by molecule…"
Jazz giggled and added, "Didn't Dad want you to be his sidekick after you saved the world from that asteroid?"
As the two adults share their fond memories, Darry watched in complete interest at some of the stories he'd never heard before. "What else did you do?" Darry asked excitedly. "Did you fight ghosts together? Did Mom and Tucker help too? What about Grandma and Grandpa?"
"Oh, we were a perfect team," Danny said humbly, "That is until-" Then he froze, remembering something from his past.
"'Until' what?" Darry asked curiously when Danny stood from his chair to refill his cup of coffee. "What happened?"
"It's nothing," Danny said, not looking at his son. Darry frowned alongside Jazz, the latter seeing he has not told him yet since their therapy session a few days ago. Danny sipped his coffee, "Those good ol' days are gone and we decided to take alternate paths and go on with our lives."
"That's it?" Darry said in disbelief, "You quit being Danny Phantom to work at a cubicle in Aixon? What about those memories you just talked about?"
"Things changed, Darry." Danny explained. "I married your mother, we had you, and I had to find a way to support us when Yuki was born. Being Danny Phantom just didn't matter anymore."
"Oh," Darry said sadly and sat down to drink his carton of milk.
"Aside from that, we should start celebrating," Jazz said, "I just informed Sam and she's departing tomorrow morning to come home."
"Mom's coming?" Darry said eagerly.
"And Tucker and Valerie," Jazz added, "and I especially invited you-know-who to stay here for a few days..."
Danny, sipping his coffee too fast after Jazz's last words, began coughing and clearing his throat. "What...who'd you invite?"
Suddenly, there was a loud screech followed by a huge crash that came outside the kitchen. The three rushed out to see, in surprise, along with the Cadets, a white van had crashed through the wall of the living room. An elderly woman at the wheel has short gray hair in a bun and lavender eyes similar to Danny and Jazz's. "Ha!" the elderly woman said loudly, "Told ya I'm not too old to drive the van."
Next to her was a large old man with balding hair who glared at her. "At least I can still see the road." he said.
"Mom?" Danny asked in surprise, recognizing the old couple as his folks. "Dad?"
The elderly woman, Maddie, hopped off the van and looks around, squinting her eyes. Danny looks at the glasses that hung from her neck and puts them on for her. Once Maddie sees clearly, she smiles, "Danny!" and embraces her son, "It's great to see you!"
"It's great to see you too." Danny replied with a smile as he returned her embrace.
"Thanks for inviting us, sweetie." the old man, Jack, said as he hugged Jazz.
"Of course. We're just glad you came," Jazz said with a warm smile.
Jack takes a deep whiff and sighs, "Ah, I haven't been in this house for ages. He looks at a plant pot nearby. He grabs the plant and yanks it out of the pot so he can pull out a familiar device. "Hey! The Fenton Finder is still here and is in good shape!" Jazz can remember that old invention, except it was rusty and covered with dirt. "I wonder if it still works," Jack said when the Fenton Finder beeps loudly.
"Ghost located few feet ahead," the female computerized voice announced, its antenna lighting up toward Darry.
Jack looks up at Darry when he suddenly yells, "Ghost! GHOST!" he cried, holding up an ecto-weapon from behind. Danny and Jazz gasped as Jack suddenly tackles Darry, pins him, and points his weapon at his head.
Darry yelped and cringed in fright until Jazz and Danny intervene. "Dad, no!" Danny yelled as he pulled Jack off of the boy.
"That's your grandson, remember?" Jazz explained as she helped Darry up.
Maddie gasped with a smile. "Is that really Darry? Oh, look at how big he's gotten!"
Danny helped Jack get up as Jack finally recognizes his grandson and grins. "I know. He looks just like his old man." then whispers to Maddie, "I was hoping he could get my looks though."
Darry runs up to his grandparents and hugs him. Yuki looks confused, "Um... who's the fat guy and the crazy old woman?"
"Yuki, meet your grandparents," Danny introduced, "Jack and Maddie Fenton. You probably don't remember them since they met you as a baby."
"Yuki has really grown as well." Maddie said with a smile as she looked down at her granddaughter. "Come on and give us a hug, sweetie."
Yuki looks unsure, but ultimately shrugs and walks over to Maddie, giving her grandmother a hug. Jack looks at Yuki and sighs, seeing she apparently didn't inherit his genetics either. He takes out a Fenton Scanner to examine Darry when he realized, "Danny, could it be that-"
"Unfortunately, yes," Danny sighed, "He's got ghost powers too."
But Maddie seemed happy about this. "That's wonderful, Danny. I'll bet he's fighting off ghosts and doing good in the world just like you."
"And a member of a saving-dimensional-worlds organization aka the Nicktoons," Darry added, "Which Yuki will soon follow. I may not have all my dad's powers, but I got one ability he can't do." He phases his leg into his shadow and kicks the shadow of the discard Fenton weapon which he is able to catch.
Danny groaned at Darry's big ego, but his parents are impressed. "Amazing, your ghost DNA is similar, but has seemed to evolve from Danny's," Maddie analyzed.
"Dar-Bear, how'd you like to help us perform some ghostly experiments back at the lab?" Jack offered.
"You bet, Gramps!" Darry enthusiastically replied as he followed Jack downstairs.
Yuki looks back at the odd duo and says to her friends, "You know, I think I'm starting to see the family resemblance…"
"Does that mean you'll end up like them when you grow up?" Kida asked.
Somewhere in DarkEvil's hidden lair, DarkEvil was pacing in circles with his robotic minions watching. "Master," SpongeCog said with a remorseful look as he got on his knees. "I'm sorry we failed to acquire the information you were seeking. We should've tried harder to keep those Nicktoons at bay."
DarkEvil kicks a chair across the room in anger. "It wouldn't have mattered anyway. That ghost of time won't give me the information I need no matter how many times I threaten his life...or his afterlife. There must be someone who will divulge everything about him."
"Permission to speak, Master," SpongeCog 008 asked. DarkEvil gestured him to go ahead. "Might I suggest that Danny Phantom might have personal allies, who human or living, he has entrusted this secret to?"
DarkEvil turned to 008 with interest as he removed his mask to view him. "I'm listening..."
SpongeCog 008 continued, "The ghost-hybrid must've confided to someone about that fateful time in his life. Perhaps there is an ally out there knowledgeable about everything in Phantom's life. And there are only four of them he knows who I believe would know just what we are asking about."
DarkEvil turned away with a smirk. "That is actually a pretty swell idea." then he lowered his mask. "And I know just the one who will know and tell just what I wanna hear."
Two days later, Darry and Yuki are explaining to their friends in HQ about their grandparents visiting. "And after Grandpa Jack let me demonstrate my powers, Grandma Maddie took us to the movies," Darry explained.
"The next day, they brought us to Wet World and we went down the fun slides and stuff," Yuki mentioned, "After we went fishing that night, we had double crusted pizza. Grandpa showed us neat inventions they worked on and Granny is even helping me with my graduation speech."
"Yeah, I never thought hanging with our grandparents would be gnarly," Darry mentioned, "And Tuck said they were whack jobs."
"And tackling you to the ground and trying to rip out your ghost half would make you think otherwise?" Jimmy recalled until Cindy glared.
"But the best part hasn't even happened yet." Darry continued explaining. "Today Mom is arriving to celebrate Yuki and the Cadets' graduation. It's been a while now since I've seen her. It'll be so great to have everyone here this time to celebrate something special."
"Wow," Tommy said in amazement. "I haven't seen her since the time we entered your dreams and you-" but he was interrupted when Tammy punched him in the side and knocked him down.
"I'm sure it'll be a great party." Tammy quickly said with a grin.
"I think so too." Yuki agreed. "And just think, in a couple hours, we'll be the ones going after DarkEvil LaserPants and you'll be the ones backing us up."
But this made Junior shiver in fright. "I don't like DarkEvil LaserPants."
"I don't either." Crash admitted. "But once I become a real Nicktoon, I'm gonna teach that yellowbelly a lesson about messin' with us."
"Now hold on." Jimmy said with a small smile, "You're not real Nicktoons yet, so don't get ahead of yourselves. You're all still a long way from taking on someone like DarkEvil LaserPants. But don't worry, your time will come."
The Cadets smile proudly as Darry began saying, "That reminds me, you should've seen our last battle against DarkEvil and his SpongeCog bots. It was totally gnarly!"
"It did go pretty well." SpongeTron adds. "Darry even took on DarkEvil by himself."
Darry looked down modestly. "Well, I didn't really give him much of a beating." but then he perks up, "But I did save Clockwork's life!"
"You mean 'afterlife'." Yuki corrected.
"Whatever."
"But why did he try to attack Clockwork?" Kida asked curiously.
"I don't know." Darry explained in thought. "We never really figured that out. He mentioned something about my dad's worst enemy being his friend. But I know that there isn't a ghost who would team up with him or that my dad would ever be afraid of."
Hearing this, Jimmy and Cindy look at each other unsettlingly. "I didn't know your dad was afraid of ghosts or had a worst enemy." Twitchy asked in surprise.
"He's not." Darry insisted until he stood up from his seat. "And you know what? I'm gonna ask him myself. I'll show you just how great Dad is when it comes to fighting ghosts- or at least when he used to fight ghosts."
When Darry walked away to prove his point, Cindy looked at Jimmy and said, "I didn't know DarkEvil knew about Danny's enemies. Even about his worst enemy, Vlad Plasmius. Whatever happened to him anyway?"
"I'm sure it's nothing, dear." Jimmy insisted with a hint of nervousness in his tone until he moved Cindy away. "Why don't you get everything ready for the ceremony while I prepare...everything else." Cindy looked suspicious by his behavior, but walked away. But while Jimmy was alone, he gritted his teeth nervously as he muttered, "It can't be happening. It shouldn't be happening."
Meanwhile, at Fenton Works, Jazz, Jack, and Maddie were preparing the living room for where they would have the party to celebrate the Nicktoon Cadets' graduation ceremony.
"This is gonna be so wonderful." Maddie said as she sets up the refreshment table. "To think our grandkids would be going on adventures and slaying evil from the world."
"Of course they are." Jack mentioned as he put up streamers. "They're Fentons. Ghost fighting and a sense of justice are in their blood."
In the kitchen, Danny and Jazz were preparing the food for the party. "You know, Danny, in spite of all that's happened years ago, I think it's good that Darry and Yuki are being able to live all that you did when you were their age." Jazz mentioned cheerfully.
"I'm actually starting to think you're right." Danny admitted. "Despite what did happen, it wasn't all that bad. I had fun hanging out with Jimmy, Timmy, SpongeBob, and Tak and it felt good saving other worlds from certain doom. Maybe I was dwelling on the bad things for so long just like you said during that session."
Jazz smiled at Danny having finally learned to let go of his past and loosen up. But then Darry Phantom phased through the ceiling and changed into human form. "Hey Dad." he greeted Danny.
"Hey son. Are the Cadets ready yet for their big ceremony?" Danny asked.
"Oh yes," Darry answered. "They're more than ready. But listen, can I maybe talk to you for a minute?"
Danny was surprised, but remained positive. "Sure Dar. Whatever you want." and walked with him to the backyard where they could be alone. "So what's up?" Danny asked, wondering what Darry wanted to discuss.
Darry began, "Well, a couple days ago, my team and I were fighting DarkEvil LaserPants in the Ghost Zone."
"Hmm, that's weird he would be in the Ghost Zone." Danny said, perplexed. "What happened? He didn't hurt you or anyone else, did he?"
"Actually, he was after Clockwork, threatening him to locate a ghost he claims you fear the most out of all the ghosts you fought," Darry casually explained, "But I know that's not true cuz you're not scared of anything. Right Pop?"
But upon hearing this, Danny's eyes widen in horror as he quickly realizes just what Darry was talking about. "Pop?" Darry asked, still trying to get his attention. "Dad!" After what seemed like an eternity, Danny snapped back to reality and Darry continued to ask, "So it's not true, right? There isn't a ghost out there that you're afraid of or that would wanna team up with someone like DarkEvil LaserPants."
But a ringing was suddenly heard from Danny's pocket, and he suddenly moved his way past Darry while saying, "Excuse me, but I gotta take care of something. Stay here and don't go anywhere."
But as he watched his dad leave, Darry suddenly gained a hurt look as he said, "He didn't tell me the truth. He just hiding things...like he always does."
Soon Danny changes to ghost form and flies away without telling anyone what's going on. He answers his Recaller, "Fenton here, is this you, Jimmy?"
"Affirmative." Jimmy responded from HQ. "Listen, there's something I think I should warn you about."
"Are you going to tell me that the villain, DarkEvil LaserPants, is plotting our downfall with the dark secret from my past I told you about?"
There was a pause from the Recaller when Jimmy asks, "Dar told you, didn't he?"
"Yup." Danny responded. "Listen carefully, get the others and let's meet up in your lab. We need to discuss this before anything happens."
"But Danny, what about the ceremony?"
"It'll just have to wait."
Later on in Nicktoon HQ, Danny had arrived in the lab with Jimmy and the newly arrived Timmy, SpongeBob, and Tak who were discussing the recent news of DarkEvil's newest and most dangerous plan yet. "Are you sure you heard right, Danny?" Timmy asked skeptically. "How would DarkEvil even know someone like that?"
"I'm the one to blame for that." Danny sullenly responded, recalling the moment DarkEvil saw his nightmare come to life. "It wouldn't surprise me if DarkEvil would want to try and look into that."
"But it's not bad yet, right?" Tak asks, trying to look optimistic. "I mean he still doesn't know who he is and where he is, so we still have a chance to stop him."
"Yeah, after all we're the only ones who know about his whereabouts, well, us and the ghosts you mentioned that helped seal him up," Jimmy mentioned.
"But that doesn't mean he'll just give up." SpongeBob said, looking serious as he sat in a chair against a desk. "You're right; there are only a few people who know the story. But the question is: Who will be the one he'll want to tell it to him?"
Timmy stood up seriously, "Well, just to be safe, we better raise our defenses around HQ, right Neutron?"
Jimmy nodded with determination. "There's no telling who...or what...will try to come in here. Let's double check anyone who comes in here."
"But what about the Nicktoon Cadets' ceremony?" Tak asked.
"It's gonna have to wait," Jimmy said sternly, "Alert SpongeTron about this. Let's go, Turner." The two head into the hallway toward one of the labs containing the security mainframe.
Danny sighs, "Yuki and her friends are gonna be upset about this, but we have to take precaution."
Suddenly, there's a large POOF and Timmy with Cosmo and Wanda came. "Sorry we're late," Timmy said, "We had to reconstruct the polar ice caps so the polar bears and penguins can live in the ice again."
Danny's eyes widen in surprise to see Timmy, who recently left with Jimmy. "Wait a minute. You can't be in two places at once."
"He can't?" Cosmo asked.
"Wait, if you're Timmy, then who's-" Tak froze as everyone realizes the truth.
In one of the labs, Jimmy was leading what is supposed to be Timmy Turner to one of the security mainframes. "So tell me, Jim. What's so bad about this ghost that Danny faced before?" Timmy asked.
"Don't you recall what he told us before, Turner?" Jimmy explained. "He's practically a monster. He's a result of a bad choice Danny made in his life and tried to make his life a living nightmare. Just like the way DarkEvil LaserPants stemmed."
"That does sound bad," Timmy said, "Well, at least we got good old technology to help. After all, it's science that paves the way to victory."
Jimmy stopped and looked at Timmy in surprise, "Weird...I'd never thought I'd hear you say that."
Timmy just shrugged and replied with a smile, "What can I say? You are the leader after all."
"Yeah…" Jimmy said suspiciously, reaching for his Tornado Blaster that was hanging on the belt under his labcoat, "Turner, where's Cosmo and Wanda?"
"Somewhere else." Timmy easily answered. "Why?"
But before Jimmy could react after glaring at him, Timmy was suddenly struck down by a blast of magic. Jimmy looks up to see Tak holding out his staff. "That's not the real Timmy!" he warned.
"I know." Jimmy said as he turned to the Timmy imposter who now had red eyes.
A bright light enshrouded the fake Timmy as he turns back into SpongeCog 001. "The Master would like a word with you," SpongeCog smirked as his arm turns into a plasma ray. Jimmy quickly ducks away from the attack and draws his own weapons as Danny, Timmy, and SpongeBob join in the fight.
Back at Fenton Works, everyone in the house was getting ready to go over to Nicktoon HQ for the graduation ceremony. While Jazz was placing a video camera in a bag, Darry was sitting at the kitchen table with a dour expression. "Anything wrong, sweetie?" Jazz asked.
"It's nothing." Darry answered with a big sigh. "I can't help but feel that Dad is hiding something from me. When I asked him something, he just took off without even saying anything. He didn't even tell me where he was going."
Jazz frowned, sighs, and sits down, "Darry, you know your father loves you and Yuki very much, right?"
"Yeah," Darry responded, still looking a bit down.
"You see, there are secrets your father has kept from you, but he does what he does because he truly cares for you and doesn't want anything to happen. There's times when the truth is needed to be told, but it will hurt. That's why you have to be brave enough to face them and conquer it."
While Darry still wasn't convinced, he took a deep breath and said calmly, "Okay, I guess I understand. I'm sure when Mom gets here everything will be better. We'll all still be together."
"That's my little nephew." Jazz said with a smile before kissing Darry on the head. "Now why don't you get changed so we can head out for Yuki's ceremony?" Darry smiled and giggled before walking out of the kitchen and heading upstairs to his room. Jazz then heard the phone ringing from the living room.
Jazz picked it up and answered, "Hello? Oh, hi Sam, we were just wondering when you'd be here." As Sam spoke to her on the phone, Jazz frowned in disappointment, "Oh, I see. Don't worry, I'll tell them. No, I'm sure they will understand. Okay, we will see you when you arrive. Bye." After hanging up the phone, Jazz frowned sadly unsure how to tell Darry of the recent news his mother had just given her about her arrival for the ceremony and party.
At Nicktoon HQ in one of the rooms, the Nicktoon Cadets were dressed up in fancy clothing for their ceremony which would commence in less than an hour. Sandy helped tie up Twitchy's bow for his spiffy tux. She looked curiously on anything else. She snaps her hands and licks her palm to smooth down Twitchy's hair that's sticking from his head. However, Twitchy's hair sticks out more, making Sandy sigh.
"Don't you think you should take off the helmet?" Kida asked Crash, still wearing said object; while she was wearing a leopard skin dress, a crown of feathers on her head, and the tips of her pigtails curled.
"Oh, come on." Crash said, tapping on the helmet while wearing a tuxedo. "I wore it when I become a Cadet. Don't ya think I should be wearin' it when I become a Nicktoon?"
But Sandy pulled off his helmet and began shining it with a cloth. "The least ya can do is make sure it ain't dirty." she told Crash while he groaned.
Yuki was wearing a purple dress with black on top and a flower design in the middle, black dress shoes and her ponytail in a bun, and she paced around while looking her speech. "I just hope I'm ready." she said nervously. "Maybe I should make some changes to this."
"I know you'll do fine, Yuki." Junior told her assuringly, dressed in a tuxedo. "You're the bestest leader we ever had."
"I'm the ONLY leader you guys ever had."
"I think what Junior means to say is that when we become Nicktoons," Kida explained. "You'll still be a great leader like you are now."
Yuki smiled and calmed down. "Thanks guys. I couldn't have gotten this far without you too. I'm sure that as long as you're here, nothing can ruin this night." But then she jolts when a large blast is heard from somewhere in HQ that made the room they were in rumble.
The Nicktoon Cadets and Sandy were alerted as well as they tried to gain their balance from the shock. In another room, Cindy was changing Max for the ceremony until she too felt another jolt and tried to shield Max as the room shook a little.
SpongeTron peeks out of his room when he hears the commotion going on until Goddard arrives and barks something to him which makes SpongeTron gasp in shock from what he heard. But from behind a corner of the hall, SpongeCog 008 lurked by as he eyed the two robots and held out one of his swords.
In one of the labs where the battle was taking place, Jimmy was walking backwards with his tornado blaster until he bumped into Timmy and aimed his weapon at him while Timmy aimed a pair of pink and green pistols at his face. "What was the first insult you called me when we met?" Jimmy questioned him.
"Baron Von Bighead." Timmy easily answered as the two lowered their weapons and continued to locate SpongeCog.
Danny Phantom was chasing SpongeCog around the room while firing ecto-blasts at the robot. He runs behind a corner, after which SpongeBob is knocked back out while wearing his karate gloves. Danny doesn't waste a second and puts his ghost manipulation on SpongeBob and throws him against the wall. "Quick! Who was the one that defeated the Syndicate's Doomsday Device?"
"Uh…me when I pulled the plug from the emergency power core?" SpongeBob mentioned. Danny then lets SpongeBob down until SpongeCog appears from the ceiling and kicks Danny to the ground. SpongeBob quickly gets up and tries to karate chop SpongeCog, but the robot jumps out of the way and runs into another room.
The Nicktoon Cadets rush out of the room as Sandy calls to them, "Kids, get back in here! Somethin' dangerous could be happenin'!"
"We're gonna be Nicktoons!" Crash explained. "We gotta go investigate!"
As they enter down the hall, they yelped as they see SpongeCog jet pass down the hall and blast his way into another room. "Holynuts! ThatwasSpongeCog!" Twitchy yelled in panic.
"What do we do?" Junior asked as he shivered in fright.
Yuki narrowed her eyes in determination, "I'll tell you what we're gonna do. As soon-to-be Nicktoons, we're gonna go after him and tear him apart for interrupting our big day." Yuki, Kida, Crash, and Twitchy dash after him, except Junior, who was gonna walk away until Twitchy catches him and picks him up.
When SpongeCog walks through the smoke, Tak gets in his way and aims his staff at him. "Hold it right there!" he ordered. "You're after SpongeBob, are you? Your little boss wants him for information about Danny's secret, doesn't he?"
SpongeCog just laughed. "Ha! I guess you really are the stupid one of your group. It's not you or him that my Master wants."
Jimmy and Timmy suddenly arrive and both aim their weapons at him. "You're outnumbered, SpongeCog!" Jimmy told him. "Hands up and surrender!"
SpongeCog just stared at them until he heard Yuki shout, "Nicktoon Cadets, attack!" as she and her team yelled out as they all charge at the evil robot.
"You're kidding." SpongeCog said in a deadpanned tone as he charged up electricity in his claws.
"Wait!" Tak shouted, seeing the danger the Cadets are in. "No!" and quickly rushed over to them as the blast of electricity that was about to hit the Cadets hit Tak instead, knocking him into the wall.
"Daddy!" Kida cried out as she rushed toward him as Crash, Twitchy, and Junior gasp in fright.
"Tak!" Timmy shouted in worry until SpongeCog took advantage of this momentary distraction and blasts his sonic cannon at him, knocking him away from Jimmy, and then extended his claw to knock Jimmy to the ground and pin him down by his neck.
"Mr. Neutron!" Yuki cried out until she picked up Tak's discarded staff and held it like a baseball bat as she rushed toward SpongeCog. SpongeCog did not hesitate to aim the cannon at Yuki and fire. Yuki froze in fright until Danny flew just in time to protect his daughter with a ghost shield.
SpongeBob arrived on the scene and saw SpongeCog still holding Jimmy down. "What are you doing?" he shouted. "Let him go!"
"Negative!" SpongeCog shouted. "He's gonna have a little talk with my Master, and if he cooperates, he'll come back...in one piece." then a beam of light surrounds SpongeCog along with Jimmy. Timmy quickly fires a gold projectile star at the robot, but he along with Jimmy, vanish into thin air.
SpongeBob and Timmy look on in horror to see their leader has been kidnapped. "Yuki, are you alright?" Danny asked, checking up on her.
But Yuki looked disturbed as she shakily answers, "I'm...I'm fine, Dad."
"Daddy, what happened?" Junior asked nervously.
"Something awful." SpongeBob replied as he held Junior, Crash, and Twitchy close.
And that's the first part of the four-part season finale. I should probably warn you that from this chapter on, things will get a little more heavy in terms of graphic violence, but nothing that would go above T-rating. So read on at your own risk, but enjoy.
