Arc 4

The Diary of Ben Parker

11:00 P.M Alley Next to the Chelsea Apartment of Mary Jane Watson

Mary Jane Watson is a beautiful woman. She has her long red hair that goes down to her voluptuous breasts and she has always been fit because of her job, when in reality she wants to just eat ice cream and watch bad horror movies all day. Her face has very ample features and the freckles on her nose are something Peter loves. She doesn't know how beautiful she is, except for times like this.

Her mouth was in pain from a fist. She was leaning up against the side of her building. Her hand was touching the molding rot on the old bricks. Mary looked at her dress and it was torn exposing her bra. She looked up and saw a white bald man with a distinct scar on his nose. He went to feel her up and Mary Jane fell down away from him. She started to crawl away from him and he was rubbing her exposed legs.

Mary Jane began to think, if Peter were here, she would be safe. She didn't need Peter though. She loved the man to death, but a year ago he would have fought this creepy man and lost. Mary Jane used to be the physically strong person out of the two but this could have happened years ago and Peter would have died protecting her.

Mary Jane stood up fast, to the man's surprise. He punched her in the gut and she went down to her knees and she fell on her hands. He put his hand near her mouth. She bit down on one of his fingers and blood gushed from his finger. Mary Jane stood up once again and saw him with rage in his eyes. He charged and Mary Jane dodged his anger filled tackle and he ran into a trash can. Mary Jane ran to him in her tattered clothes and started to kick him. Her heels had broken and she kept kicking. While she was kicking, the man was able to push her aside quickly and get up. He looked at her with blood running down his face. The scar on his nose was leaking blood.

Mary Jane was tired of being abused in her life, her father, those weird producers, and this creep. She punched him in the jaw, and she did it again and again. He was down and she punched him again. She looked at his face and saw how broken it was. It looked like something her dad would have done to a man who looked at him wrong. Her fist went away and her hand twitched, she just realized that the man was down and out. She felt for a pulse hesitantly and it was faint. She pulled put her phone. She went to dial nine-one-one. She stopped and grabbed his wallet. She saw the license and quickly took a picture of it and then called the police. She wanted to make sure some friendly neighborhood person would pay him a visit sometime soon.

Mary Jane had an ambulance and cops coming soon. She sat next to a dumpster about fifteen yards away. She watched his body twitch in and out. She heard the sirens getting closer and closer. Her mind kept going back on how easy it was for her to be taken by surprise. She remembered when Peter said she was his constant reminder of hope. Peter was hers. She wanted to see that dorky smile of his when he made bad puns. She wanted to feel his strong arms cuddling her. She wanted his opinion on the pilot of Secret Hospital and how he would lie and say it was great. She needed to be a better fighter. She didn't want to fight crime, but she needed someway where she could at least defend herself from some two bit thug where it wouldn't be her just barely making it. The sirens were mere feet away, so Mary Jane stood up and saw the police run to her.

Midnight The Roof of the Daily Bugle

Peter Parker was sitting waiting for his sister. He had his feet dangling off of the roof and was watching the city lights shine in the dark night, while his tie blew in the wind. He pulled a book out of his jacket pocket. Peter heard sirens far away and went to look at the book.

Peter put his glasses on and was skimming through his uncle's journal. There were random names all around. They were from known felons like Wilson Fisk to weird ones like this Felicia Hardy woman. The book was split in two, names in red like Wilson's and the ones written in green like Felicia's. Peter thought he may have to do more research on the names to see what the difference was. Fisk was bad so maybe this Felicia was good? Peter put the book back in his pocket. He could hear the pitter patter of footsteps, Teresa was here.

Peter stood up and saw Teresa in street clothes. She was wearing mainly all black. Her hair bands, pants, wristlet and shoes were black, but she had a red shirt. Her hands dangled to the side and Peter could see she was shaky. He still felt it odd that he agreed to meet her. He didn't know what came over him. Maybe it was that she was a spitting image of his mother Mary.

Teresa pulled out a book and held it tightly in her hands. She walked forward hesitantly to Peter.

"Teresa I agreed to meet you here and we could talk. You have your ten minutes." Peter tried to say in a more aggressive tone, but it came out nicer than he wanted. Peter saw her lips quiver.

"Can I ask you questions?" Teresa said quietly.

"Ask away, I guess." Peter said as he sat on the brown brick roof.

Teresa sat as well and began her questioning, "How did you get your powers?"

Peter held his hands tightly, "I was at a job interview at Horizon Labs and a spider bit me, woke up on the ceiling, few hours had passed and I had all the powers I had now, except the web swinging, made that myself from a formula that I had been tinkering with a while. I made the compound stronger and it holds at least twenty times my weight, still modifying it, but it works well for now." Peter stopped, he noticed he was rambling. Admitting how he got his powers was nice. Mary Jane asked and he said about being bit, but she didn't really care how, Mary Jane knew he was the same amazing Peter. Teresa on the other hand knew nothing about Peter, yet she wanted to know everything and cared deeply for him.

"How are you feeling?"

"I am good. My left shoulder has gone through hell and always stings, but I will live."

"You have a girlfriend right?"

"Yeah. Mary Jane."

"The girl who was your friend in middle school and high school?"

"How did you know that?" Peter questioned.

Teresa handed him the book she had. Peter opened it and flipped the pages. It was all of him. Starting when he was fourteen and his acne was bad, up until a few days before he got the spider powers. Peter felt violated and at the same time felt so bad for her. She watched over him and he just railed into her.

"Peter, I have been watching over you for a long time. I love you. You mean the world to me. I want to be a part of your life." She stuttered. "Director Barton offered me a position on his new squad. I am no longer a Black Widow. I am done killing. I will do anything. Please." She was practically on her knees begging to Peter.

Peter looked her in the eyes. He saw his mother in her. The mother whose throat she slit, the mother whose last act was bleeding out, holding and protecting her son, his anger fed the spike.

Spider-sense! Peter turned around and saw an armored truck driving out of control and crashing into incoming cars. Peter took of his office suit and was in full Spider-Man gear except the mask. He looked at Teresa who was holding a grappling gun and he saw a look of determination in her face.

Peter locked eyes with Teresa and quipped, "Keep up." As he jumped off the roof of the Daily Bugle.

Peter thwipped and thwipped keeping up and finally landed on the armored car, while Teresa was following her a little slower than him while bullets came flying at them from somewhere inside the car. Peter dodged them easily and jumped on the windshield. He looked at the empty driver seat and saw a letter written on the torn seat, "S" Peter jumped through the windshield and grabbed the wheel and twisted it, making the car roll and topple over.

Peter crawled out and saw Teresa helping men and women injured from the gunfire. Maybe he was wrong maybe she had changed. He still wasn't sure. Right now that didn't matter. What mattered is, who was "S"?

Peter brushed himself off and saw the police sirens gaining closer. He went and grabbed Teresa and thwipped away; knowing the cops still weren't his biggest fan. Little did he know "S" was watching him.
