A few weeks later…..
"I want everything to be perfect. The cake, decorations, everything looks amazing. The girls have been helping me last night put the gifts for the guest together. Paul, I'm so excited for this party. I can't wait to tell everyone about the twins." He wrapped his arms around her and she was beaming.
"Glad your happy babe. I really wish you didn't invite Steph. She has been acting weird since Mania. When she gets like this I can tell she's up to something." Hunter looked annoyed.
"Oh… you two are just always fighting over something. I noticed since before Mania she had been acting odd. But, what can we do? To be honest I try to be nice for the girls. But, most times she really is not very nice to me. She treats me like the help. At times she can be nice but, most days she's sort of a snob. It's just like she tolerates me. But, she is your daughter's mother. So for them, we have to be nice. I don't expect us all to be best buddies or anything. Just be civil for the girls, okay?" Hunter grumbled under his breath but, agreed.
Murphy ran up to them, "Daddy, Sammy let us make these for guest. She said I can give them out as people come in. She said they are pink and blue so people won't guess what the baby is going to be." She held gift bags with candy, mementos, and cookies the girls help her make that were half blue half pink.
The reveal party in the backyard was elaborate. Hunters mom and sister had helped with decorating and caterers were taking care of the food. It was all decorated in half pink, half blue, and gold embellishments. The theme had a small hint of fantasy and storybooks. They had custom decor that had subtle hints from the story Sam wrote about Hunter. With his logo cross with a heart in the corner like the one on the frame as an ice sculpture.
Guest started to arrive and Linda and Vince arrived. "Steph decided to stay at our house. She doesn't feel up to a party tonight. Hope you understand"
"Grandma, here is your and Grandpa Vince's gift." Murphy smiled feeling like a big girl being a helper.
"It's fine," Sam said. "I'm glad you both made it. Shane and his wife are already here. We are all in the backyard." She leads them to the back and Murphy and Hunters sister stayed to invite in the guest.
Sam headed out to mingle with guest and she made her way over to Hunter talking to a group of men. "Well, look what we have here. The infamous Kliq altogether." She pulled her arms around Hunter. Shawn, X-Pac, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall were his best friends and she loved them all.
"Well, hello darling. You look beautiful. How are things with the big man here? Treating you good?" Kevin asked.
"Wonderful. So are your ladies here? I need to go find out all the first hand behind the scenes gossip about you guys."
"They are over by the pool drinking mimosas and probably griping about us." Shawn joked.
Sam headed over to the pool were the wives were talking with the Bellas, Lita, and Trish Stratus. It was so fun for her seeing all her idols in one place. Outside of work she hadn't had much chance to get to know them. Other than the Bellas who she knew vaguely before she started as Hunters assistants almost a year ago.
After an hour or so of mingling and chatting, Sam went to find Hunter for the big reveal. Hunter went to the stage they had set up for the DJ. Grabbing the mic, a loud squeal came over the sound system. People covered their ears. "Hey don't blame me. That ice sculpture cut into the sound budget." She laughed and poked him in the side.
"Yeah right H. You have plenty of that WWE money to cover a better sound system.", Scott Hall yelled.
"Well, I guess the old man needs to give me a raise." Hunter laughed. "Hell, I'll just give myself a raise. I'll make my assistant make a note of that." Sam rolled her eyes at him. "But, I keep her pretty busy. Word is had I not had messed around with my assistant we wouldn't be here at a party telling the sex of a baby."
"Remember if you want to sleep indoors tonight you best be on good behavior." She laughed.
"Yep. They are married." Shawn pipped in.
"Okay Okay! I guess we need to get to this. Sam and I want to thank all of you for coming and especially Vince who let us use the corporate jets to get you all here. I tease the old man but, Vince we love ya." Vince nodded with a smile. "We need my girls to come up here and help with this. So these canisters have a colored smoke telling the sex of the baby. Girls, come up here with dad."
Aurora brought her sisters to the stage. All three looking adorable in their gold dresses.
Hunter looked at the crowd of family and friends. No one knew that there were twins. "Are you ready?" The crowd clapped a little laughing at his reference.
"HOLD ON!" Shawn, X-Pac, Road Dogg, and Billy Gunn ran over next to the stage pointing to the couple. "Okay...one more time."
"Ummm...okay? Are you ready?" Sam started to giggle at the guys acting silly. Hunter knew she was a Huge DX fan and would get a kick out of it "I SAID! ARE...YOU...READY!" The party cheered. "Ok well for those of us in attendance and those...well no one is watching us at home so...ya. Let's get ready to…." Sam stopped him laughing and took the mic.
"Babe...No." She giggled.
"No? No..suc...Alright then. Let's get ready to!...see what this baby is. Sam! LET'S SET IT OFF!" They grabbed the canister and held it in the air together. Pink started to roll out. Hunter hung his head, "I am so outnumbered."
"Girl!" The crowd clapped. A few seconds later blue started to come out too. "BOY!" Hunters mom jumped up covering her mouth.
The girls were instructed to pull a string when Hunter told them to. When they did a drape behind them dropped with an ultrasound photo and the word Twins wrote across it in blue and pink. Sam covered her mouth giggling seeing everyone's shocked expression."TWINS! A boy and a girl." Hunter told the crowd. "I'M HAVING A SON!" He grabbed Sam and twirled her around.
They hugged the girls and the two oldest were jumping up and down in excitement.
After the reveal everyone congratulated the two. They ate and had fun for the first time in a while. She finally felt like everything was perfect and, completly part of his world.
