Chapter Thirty-Six

Ripples of Changes

"Are you sure I should be going to Fairy Tail with you?"

Erza glanced at me, with a raised eyebrow.

We were getting closer to where the guild was located, and I couldn`t help but feel nervous. Just a few weeks ago, Phantom Lord was clashing against Fairy Tail in a war and now, Erza is taking me, a former Elite Phantom Lord member back at the very guild that Phantom attacked.

"Why not?"

"Well, first I was part of Phantom Lord," I told her, "Second, we destroyed your guild, and third…I don't think it`s the best time to meet with your friends."

Erza paused seemingly thinking.

"Maybe you`re right," she said, "I guess…I was getting a little ahead of myself."

I gave her a smile.

"Hey, don't worry," I told her with a light smirk though she can't see it, "I would have loved to meet your friends…but I not right now alright."

Erza sighed.

"I suppose that`s true," she said, a small frown on her features, "But what will you do to eat?"

"Erza, I am seventeen years old," I told her, "I have made enough money from wizard work the past years and I know how to get around. I`m hardly a child."

"I don't think being a child has anything with worrying about your friend?" Erza revealed.

"Meh, probably," I told her with a shrug of my shoulders.

"So what are you going to do?" Erza asked coming to a stop in front of the construction site for the guild.

"Well firstly I am going back to Oak Town," I told her glancing at the people noticing the number of them working and placing things together, "There is a certain Dragon Slayer that get bored easily…and when he get bored, he`ll probably cause some problems."

Erza had an angry look upon her face.

"I had forgotten you were partnered with him," she said.

"Erza…Gajeel is my friend whether you like it or not," I told her sternly, "He may be a little ruthless when he fights, but in his own way, he cares about me and had my back when I needed him and don't forget Phantom considered your guild their rivals…things always get nasty when rivals fight each other."

"I`m not going to forgive him for what he did," Erza told me.

"I don't need you to," I told her simply.

Then out of the corner of my eyes, I caught sight of something blue causing me to glance toward it and from the small round hat that I was seeing popping out from behind the wall..

This hat look familiar…where have I seen…

"YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH ME!?"

"YEAH, I GOT A PROBLEM WITH YOUR FACE!"

The both of us turned toward where the voices were coming from within and I have a pretty good idea whose they were. After all, there are only two people in Fairy Tail that break into a fight out of nothing at all.

"I swear these two," Erza said pinching the bridge of her nose.

I let out a giggle.

"Sound like someone has a lot of energy to burn," I told her.

Erza walked inside the work area in a quick, angry pace and I followed after her. Despite my earlier misgivings, I couldn`t pass up the chance of seeing Gray and Natsu being well, Gray and Natsu.

I wasn`t disappointed.

The duo were already locked in a battle with fist flying at each other. Gray was shirtless, which was no surprise, with long pants and work boots on. His dark bluish hair was spiky but he made it look natural on him and he was pretty hot without his shirt causing me to admire his well muscled body.

Natsu on the other hand had his spiky rosy hair which leaned more toward a fire red than a girly pink. He had his muffler around his neck and to my surprise wasn`t wearing his default outfit. He had on a red vest with flame design upon it and similar pants. He looked pretty cool I must say as his eyes which were a dark green color were flashing with anger.

I had to smile with the nostalgia of seeing this people as real and breathing as I was. Erza reached the duo without them even knowing and with each of her armored hands, she smacked them both into the head sending sprawling on the ground.

"CUT IT OUT!," she yelled out, "We`ve got a lot of work to do to rebuild the guild and if you have enough energy to fight…then you have enough to work."

"A…Aye,"

A small blue cat that was standing in the corner let out a small giggle at the sight.

"That`s Erza for ya."

"That`s one way to end an argument," I said looking down at the duo on the ground with my arms crossed.

My voice must have done some for suddenly Natsu was standing up, pointing his finger at me.

"I know you," he said, "You`re that Phantom girl. You want to fight with Fairy Tail again…if so, I`ve got a fireball right here waiting for…"

SMACK!

Erza had sent him sprawling on the ground again.

"I said get back to work!,"

I chuckled. Gray who was still seating on the ground let out a "moron" underneath his breath.

"I`m not a Phantom Girl anymore Salamander," I told him showing him my forearm which was now pure and unblemished skin, "The guild was disbanded by the Council because of the war that happened with Fairy Tail."

"Oh, my Eve what are you doing here?"

I glanced at Mirajane.

"Hey Mira," I greeted, "Erza was just taking me everywhere this morning."

Mirajane was dressed in a beautiful summer dress, and with her snow white hair, she just make it beautiful on her small yet sexy form.

"I`m glad," she said, "You know…Erza couldn`t stop talking about you after the war and I had…"

Suddenly Erza covered her mouth.

"What the hell are you talking about? She doesn`t need to know all of this"

I stared at the duo as Erza started to drag Mira away, leaving me standing there to watch along with Gray, Natsu and Happy.

"What was that about?" I asked them.

Gray simply shrugged his shoulders before glancing at me, his blue eyes suddenly hardening.

"I don't know what you said to Erza but I don't trust you," he said.

I smirked.

"Then trust Erza," I said, "She trusts me."

"Wait a minute…since when are you and Erza are friends?" Natsu asked, leaning his head sideway.

I thought about it before shrugging then, I glanced sideway again my eyes finding a pair of blue eyes looking at our direction…a familiar pair of blue eyes.

Juvia…what are you…Oh, right I totally forgot that she was supposed to fall in love with Gray, I thought, and I was wondering where she had been all week.

"Well, when you see Erza, tell her I went back home," I said to them.

Natsu nodded before walking back to work but Gray stared at me. He was still suspicious about me and I don't blame him after all, Phantom had just gone to war with his guild.

"See ya,"

I made my way out of the construction site and when I was far enough…I made a projection. It turns out the projection is not a very hard thing to do…but it cost you some magic to create one. You just have to think of yourself out of your body and data, you`ve made a Projection.

Well, if you want to sum it up, it`s basically a version of you with it`s own characteristics and personality. The projection version of me was wearing the same clothes I was and had no sword upon her back.

"Juvia right?" she asked.

I nodded.

She nodded and then walked back to the guild…

Projection POV

I reached the place in my Original memories where I have seen Juvia and sure enough, there was hiding behind a wall with a small smirk upon her face.

"Juvia, why are you stalking Fairy Tail?"

She jumped out of her skin and turned toward me.

"Oh Eve, you`ve scared Juvia," she said putting a hand upon her chest, "How did you…?"

I raised my see-through hand.

"It`s just a projection," I told her, "So…who is he?"

"Who is who?"

"Juvia…"

"It`s…the Ice prince," Juvia said, as starts appeared in her eyes, "Juvia had never felt like this about a man before…he is cold and dreamy…just like an handsome ice Prince from a ice Kingdom who will come and take Juvia away to his castle in marriage."

I put a hand on the bridge of my nose.

"You mean Gray,"

"Gray-sama is his name!" Juvia said, and angry look on her features, "You will address him as Gray-sama."

I raised my hands in surrenders.

"Sheesh Juvia, cut it back a little," I told her, "You`re always like this whenever you like a guy."

Juvia was suddenly seating on the ground tears falling out of her eyes.

"Juvia can`t help it," she said, "She never felt that way before about a man before."

I put a hand upon her head… or at least I tried to for it seems to phase through her.

"You`re really hopeless when it comes to things like this," I told her with a light smile.

"How do you deal with this Eve?" Juvia asked, "Juvia is hopelessly in love with him."

I crouched in front of the girl who was looking at me with tearful eyes. I swear, this girl is going to be the death of me one day with those big eyes which looked like they will cry with the sightless hint of refusal.

"Well, you can always talk to him," I told her.

"There is no way that Juvia can talk to him," she said burying her head into her arms, "It`s too embarrassing. What if he rejects Juvia for someone else?"

"Juvia…just trust yourself," I told her, crouching to down to her level, "You`re a beautiful girl with a charming smile and a big heart. He`ll have to be a heartless bastard not to love you."

She looked up at me after a few seconds.

"How is it that you always know what to say to Juvia Eve?" she asked.

"It`s simple…I understand what it`s like to love someone with all your heart," I told her.

Juvia looked at me with wonders.

"You love someone Eve?"

I simply gave her a smile.

"C`mon, let `s go back to Oak Town," I told her, "I have a certain Dragon Slayer that is a little lonely at my home. Maybe we can spend the night together like a huge sleep-over."

Juvia looked away for a few seconds before she nodded.

"Okay."

"Alright, let`s go find my real body and let`s go," I told her and the two of us walked away.

NO POV

"You wanted to see me?"

The figure was dressed in a large coat upon his form which was flying behind him as his long hair danced at each steps he took with his large boots. His eyes were looking a little curious as both of his hands were into his pockets.

The person he was addressing was seating upon a chair with a hood shadowing the top of his face. He had a picture in his hand, the smile upon his lips growing lightly as he looked at it.

"Yes, I have a job that you will probably enjoy," the hooded man said raising the picture toward the new arrival.

The later approached, taking it from him and glanced down at the picture. His eyes widened lightly at what he was seeing and his hands shook.

"The traitor…you`ve found her."

"Yes," the hooded figure answered, "And I want you to bring her in."

"She isn`t the one we`re going to use for the R-System," the figure said.

"I know," the hooded figure said putting a hand on his cheek, "She is just the bait we need. Based on my intel, the two who abandoned us long ago has met each other…and we need to capture one…to get the other to come to us and you are the perfect one for this."

The figure looked down at the picture in his hand, the picture of a silver eyed girl, a light frown upon his features.

"Consider it done,"

Then he turned and walked out of the room.
