Atem's group of soldiers trudged on as the sun began to set and the coolness of the night started to overtake them. Isis rode alongside Atem, guiding the soldiers in finding the direction they should move to reach the men. It was at that very moment, that Isis received another vital vision. She turned her head to the left, catching Atem's eye and pointed eastwards. Atem gave orders and turned to Isis as she elaborated on her vision.

Ishizu realized that they were close and Bakura's men had placed camp relatively nearby to rest temporarily. They weren't expecting Atem's army so quickly, but they still had men posted be on alert, just in case. The group took rest for a little while to deliberate on what they should do next.

After some time, Atem, Isis and Atem's top two most cunning soldiers decided their best tactic was one of surprise. They would wait until sunrise. At night, guards would be posted and alert, because that was often when armies liked to attack. At sunrise, however... their lookouts would let their guard down because it wasn't a time when most armies liked to attack. They liked to eat and nourish themselves before battle. Atem addressed the men as they made their plans. They were to eat and be finished an hour before the crack of dawn. By sunrise, they would have already reached Bakura's camp and would be ready to attack.

Teana woke up rather early. Her sleep had not been so restful. Two tired men stood near her, leaning against their staffs. One yawned, but then noticed her awakening and straightened himself. Teana stared at both of them and pulled her covers closer to her body. She looked up and saw the first glimmer of light shinning from the sun. She frowned, thinking of the time she saw the sunset with Atem on their wedding day. Would she ever get a chance to see that with him again? Would she ever live to hear him tease her once more? Would she get to laugh it his ignorance of childbirth? A lazy smile grew across her face as she remembered a certain memory in particular.

***FLASHBACK***

"I can feel the baby kick!" Atem declared with glee. The palm of his hand was rested against her belly.

Teana giggled. "Yes, you can! I know you've been waiting patiently."

Her husband grinned. "I cannot wait until our child is finally born."

"I am sure you are. I am anxious too, but the pain that comes with labor is not something I look forward to." She frowned.

Atem nodded as if understanding. "So how does one realize that it's happening? Does a female's water breaking signify that it's time?"

Teana widened her eyes. "What? No! I mean...yes, but no!" She shook her head, stuttering. "You sometimes know before that, like much before that... You feel increasing pain and contractions. It hurts. A lot! Your water breaks after that..." She huffed. "But then, sometimes you don't and you're left wondering what happened! It's frustrating."

"So then I should not be expecting a definite 'My water broke! The baby is coming!' scream from you." He smirked. "I remember a kitchen maid doing that once."

Teana sighed. She put her index finger up. "Even if that were to happen," she widened her eyes and wiggled her finger back and forth emphasizing this, "I will NOT scream that. Rest assured."

Atem put his hands raised in defeat. "Child birthing is so complicated! I am just glad I will never have to experience it!"

Teana made a face and then sighed. "Lucky you..." She mumbled.

***FLASHBACK ENDS***

Teana's smile was quickly replaced with a somber smile. She should have been in Egypt two days ago. Instead, she was here, with the villainous gang of thieves. It could be worse, she mused. Much worse, but she knew Bakura's orders has something to do with not disturbing her too much. It was all about the baby.

Teana could not find much sleep last night as she lay on the blankets that were provided for her. She did not give any indication that she wasn't asleep, however and later on that night she heard murmurs of a few people speaking.

One of the voices she recognized as Bakura's. It was hard to make out, but she heard Bakura say that "The girl was not to be harmed," and the baby was "the key to their success and the throne of both Egypt and Nubia."

She had tried to figure out what that meant. What did he want? Did he merely expect Atem to give up the throne in exchange for her and the baby? Because that would be rather cliché and ineffective. Atem would do anything to keep them safe and even give up the throne, but the people of Egypt would never accept a new Pharaoh who was not a son of Ra. It would be futile, Bakura would never be able to rule as Pharaoh like that...

She also noticed that Bakura didn't say she and her unborn child were the key, but merely the baby. She breathed in quickly, as a sudden chill coursed through her body. She was no key... were they just using her as a carrier for the baby until he or she were born? Then they wouldn't need her anymore... Panic seized her mind and body as she began to shake. That meant Bakura would keep her baby and kill her possibly right after birth, right when she was weakest? But then...who would take care of the baby? They would have to keep her long enough to temporarily nurse the baby until a milkmaid could be found. That still wasn't long enough. Teana would be even more helpless after the birth of her baby then because of their threat of mistreating the newborn. They would be able to easily push her around and toy with her!

Where was Atem? She needed him! Tears began to line her eyelashes, as she shifted her position to avoid letting the guards know she was awake and crying. It wasn't fair. This was never supposed to happen and she was just so damn helpless! All those years of self-defense, combat practice could do nothing for her in a situation like this! She felt horrible and incredibly homesick. She just wanted to go home! She was just a damsel in distress and she could do nothing about it.

Poor Teana. She's figuring out part of Bakura's plan and she's terrified, because she knows that she's right- there's nothing she can do, she's helpless! I'm going to try to finish this fic by the end of the year, or the very least early next year and would have already been done with this chapter, but school is keeping me really busy in every class! To those who are also following A Collection of Revolutionshipping Drabbles, I'm afraid I'm probably not going to update that anytime soon and the same goes for posting new one-shots. I'm going to focus on writing this fic first, so that I can finish it for you guys who are waiting patiently. :)

Thanks to everyone who is sticking it out and for their support! It really means a lot!
