Hi, guys! First of all, I can explain the absence. I just got into college doing A levels, and I kind of forgot about this whole thing for a while. Yeah, that's all I got. I recently got reminded, and I know what it's like to hang on to a fanfiction that has been on hiatus for ages, so I understand the frustration and pissed-off-ness of you guys. But, I would like to say that this fanfiction is almost at an end. I plan to end it in a couple more chapters and an epilogue, so sit tight.

Plus, I'm joining a competition thingy! I was kindly asked to join in Inkitt's fanfiction competition for novel length fics, and so I will complete this and send it in if you want to vote for it! Link: fandom2

I will not be sending it yet, though, as it is not completed, another reason why I need to finish it. So yeah, thank you guys for hanging in there, I promise I shall get it done this year, then we can celebrate, and I can maybe start another fic. Thanks, I will post more chapters soon!

The fire had spread insanely quickly by the time Felix had reached BLU base. The flames ignited the otherwise now dark sky, the stars being out competed by the fierce fire, which seemed to cast a menacing amber glow onto everything. The German continued to run, pushing every inch of his body to it's limits, not wanting to stop for breath.

The fire was spreading fast, and from a distance, cinder and ashes were already beginning to blow on the hot wind, smoke snaking through the air toward the BLU base. Felix blinked the stinging smoke away as his chest rose and fell rapidly, as his legs made him move like a cheetah after it's prey. The BLU base was easy to navigate, as it was an exact replica of his one- wait. The young German's heels dug into the ground as he halted, head frantically turning, eyes looking around as he heard a faint scream echo down the hallway. Following the voice, he leapt down the stairs toward the courtyard.

The amber light shone through the windows of the corridor that lead to the courtyard, casting an eerie red glow to the cool, hard blue walls. Felix felt a shiver go down his spine as he drew closer and closer to the entrance to outside, the screams becoming all the more familiar to his best friends. Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes as the desperate pleas and yells of pain wracked his brain, tortured him the closer he got to him. His arm outreached, he finally made it to the doorway, the courtyard in hi vision, and the teenager gasped in shock and horror.

It was surprisingly dark, the moon now showing itself and casting distorted shadows on the majority of the BLUs. Everyone turned to see the German boy, now shaking with rage as he saw a familiar red clad figure slumped in the middle of the group.

"Felix! Get outta here!" Ben yelled, left eye purple and swollen, other such bruises littering his broken body as he knelt amongst his tormentors, eyes fixed on his friend, "Behind you!"

Felix barely got time to turn as something painful whacked him, rendering the lights out.
