Ultrazord: Get in Gear

Vekar sat in his chair, tapping his fingers against the armrest. Vrak was hovering over a panel not far from him, typing something in.
"Brother…do you remember our childhood?" Vekar asked, almost without thinking.
Vrak stopped and turned his head, "Our childhood?" he questioned. He rose to his full height, "What's gotten you nostalgic?" he questioned.
"Nothing," Vekar muttered, getting up from his seat. He didn't say another word and headed to the door. He exited, leaving Vrak on the bridge.
"What do you think of it?" Hexatrix asked, walking behind Vekar. Vekar was standing before a railing, looking out (note: we shoot this so we're looking at the two, we don't see what he's looking at).
"It is magnificent," Vekar said. He turned around, "Hexatrix…may I ask you…no," he said, "I have a question for you."
Hexatrix tilted her head a little at his use of words, confused by why he, a prince, would be about to ask permission from an underling. She straightened, "What is it?"
"What was your past like?" he asked her.
"My past?"
"I don't believe I know how you came to be here, in the Vago Empire," he said, "Was your planet absorbed? Did you join up?"
"My planet was conquered," she said, "I proved to have a scientific mind, and the head scientist Zado took me in. He trained me, and now here I am, standing before you."
"Do you regret it?" he questioned.
"Regret joining?" she asked, "I'd have been destroyed had I not."
"But if you didn't face destruction for refusal. Would you have joined?" he asked.
"I do not know," she told him, "If I may, why are you asking me this?"
Vekar turned away, "I don't know…," he said.
Emma closed her locker at school and turned, running into Jake right away. He backed away quickly, "Sorry," he apologized.
"It's fine," she said, although her tone conveyed something else.
"It doesn't sound fine," he told her.
"This is no place to talk," she said.
"Why not?" he questioned, "I mean, a lot of people are gone because they graduated. There's only a few of us here taking extra classes so we can graduate." His tone was a bit sour, as if he didn't want to be here. Of course, taking into consideration the capture of graduates at the last graduation, and his disdain for school, that wasn't too surprising.
"Because we should only be speaking in private," she said, "I have to go."
"Look, we need to talk eventually," he told her, "And it's not like I did anything. It's the others that found Troy anyway."
"Even though that's true, you still took a big gamble," she said, "And it didn't pay off. It didn't do anything either way, but it could have ruined a lot."
"And I said I was sorry," he said, "I wasn't thinking things through well enough, I was concerned with finding Troy!"
"Well next time, please, think things through," she said as she walked away from him.
Vrak stopped behind Vekar, who was standing alone in a hallway, looking out into the darkness of space.
"Why did you ask about our childhood?" Vrak asked.
"I was just wondering if you regretted your path," Vekar said, "It's a genuine question."
"What is it you mean by my 'path'?" he asked.
Vekar turned, "Father sent us both into the military. You became a warrior, a soldier. You joined Malkor's fleet and came to fight on Earth. I joined to become a commander, a leader, and have never fought outside of there. And of course, it wasn't extensive in any way."
"Are you regretting not becoming a soldier?" Vrak questioned, "Not following my path?"
"No," Vekar said, "I'm wondering if either of us are cut out to be soldiers of any sort. I barely do anything I was trained to do, and I couldn't be a soldier. I know you're a good fighter, and a powerful soldier. But your mind is your greatest tool."
"Of course," Vrak said.
"Do you regret not putting it to better use? Not taking my path and being able to lead armies? Or…maybe you should have done something else? Like become one of Father's advisors."
"As good as I'd be at politics, I'm happy where I am," he said, "I could have done without being attacked and turned into a cyborg, but it's only made me stronger."
"I'm sorry," Vekar said quietly, "I wish I hadn't given the order to Hexatrix."
"And so you finally admit it," Vrak said.
"I'm not cut out for this," Vekar said, "I always thought I was, but…"
"I saw your Megazord," Vrak told his brother.
Vekar nodded, "And?"
"I imagine you'll be piloting it," Vrak said.
"I will be," he said.
"Then I wish you luck," Vrak said, "Sincerely."
"I can no longer tell if you're sincere," Vekar said, "Not since we were children."
"I am," Vrak said, "As much as we argue, I don't want you destroyed. I'm the heir to the throne, so seeing you gone wouldn't change anything."
"Is the throne all you care about?" Vekar questioned.
"No, but it's the only thing I can think of that matters in regards to your survival."
"Vrak…"
"Look, I understand," Vrak told his brother, "You're going to go and fight. This will be your first real fight, and you'll be fighting Rangers who are holding our invasion at bay. Rangers who destroyed Jerox and Trihorn, and Malkor, Clawhate, and the others. But your Megazord is magnificent. You will crush them, and then I will be proud to call you my brother."
Vekar turned to Vrak, "Do you mean that?"
"Yes, I do," he said, offering his hand.
Vekar looked down at it, and then at Vrak. He reached out and took his brother's extended hand.
As Emma was leaving her class, her Morpher went off. She moved into an empty room and pulled it from her bag.
"There are Metins in the warehouse district," Paul said.
"I'm on my way," she said.
The six Rangers were suited and running through the warehouse. A number of Metins were there, standing, waiting.
"That look weird to anyone else?" Jake asked.
"Yeah, very," Noah said.
The Metins moved aside to allow Vekar to walk forward, "They're merely here because of me," he told the Rangers.
"You!" Troy said.
"This won't go like last time," he told them. He gestured to the Metins, "Go!"
The Metins rushed the six Rangers, axes raised. The six Rangers lifted their personal weapons, "Alright guys, let's make short work of them!" Troy shouted as they all ran forward.
The two sides clashed, with each Ranger fighting four or five of the biomechanical soldiers. It didn't take long before the fight was over and the Rangers were approaching Vekar.
Vekar lifted his arm, "Rangers! Now, prepare to see why I'm here…"
"So what, you're going to fight us?" Jake questioned, pointing his axe forward.
[Gokaiger 37. 18:30-18:35]
Vekar still had his hand up, "Yes, I will," he lowered it, "With my Megazord!" he shouted upwards.

"Your what?" Gia shouted.
[Gokaiger 37. 18:42-18:52 (note: end just before the Gokaigers come into frame)]
The eyes of the Megazord came to life and it raised its arms in the hanger. The flagship opened and the Megazord themed on Vekar shot to Earth, landing in the city. Vekar leapt up and went into it.

The smoke cleared and the Megazord stood clear.

The Rangers ran out into the street to see, "Oh man, this doesn't look good," Jake muttered.
"We've had experience," Paul said, "We've never seen this thing before. Let's hope this is his first use of it and that we have the edge."
Gia nodded, "Makes sense."
"Right," Troy said, drawing up his Morpher and a card.
[Gokaiger 37. 19:01-19:08]
Vekar sat at his controls, "This is my personal weapon, I'll use this to show my power!" he shouted as he pushed down on the controls.
The Megazord walked forward.

Troy slotted the card as Paul threw his Morpher up.
[Gokaiger 37. 19:34-19:39]
The two Megazords stood in opposition of Vekar and his Megazord.
"Even if you have two, you can't win!" Vekar shouted.
[End Sentai footage]
"We'll see," Troy said, hitting some buttons.
[Gokaiger 37. 19:43-19:47]
The Megazord opened and the Turbo Falcon Zord and the Engine Cell appeared. They inserted the Cell.
[Gokaiger 37. 19:50-20:20]
They threw the Zord forward so it grew. It drove forward, shooting its lasers for the enemy Megazord.
"Too slow," Vekar said, his Megazord sliding side to side to easily evade.
"He's fast," Paul said as his Megazord shifted.
"Yeah," Troy said as the Pirate Megazord moved.
"Try this one," Vekar said as he used his controls.
The Megazord's left arm came forward and dark arrows flew at the Turbo Falcon Zord, taking it out. It was sucked into a portal.
"No!" the team shouted.
"This is my power," Vekar said as his Megazords arms were lifted. In his cockpit he chuckled a little, "Your little Zord was sucked in by my power. You'll be destroyed, though!"
The Megazords looked at each other, "I have an idea!" Paul said.

Paul hit some buttons on his panel, "Alright guys!"
[Gokaiger 37. 20:24-20:42]
The Megazords clasped their arms on the other's shoulder, and then their arms disconnected. The Pirate Megazord gained the arms of the Q-Rex Drill Megazord.
"Do you think that switch can beat me?" Vekar shouted as his Megazord ran forward, slashing them in the chest twice, "That's so pointless! It gives you less effective combat capability!" He continued to slash.

The Rangers were shaken around, "He's right," Noah said, "It's not helping!"
[Gokaiger 37. 20:44-20:48]
More arrows flew from the Megazord, slamming into the Pirate Megazord.
[Gokaiger 37. 20:49-21:01]
Vekar laughed in his controls, "Yes! This is the power I need! Now I'll prove my worth, and I'll destroy all of you!" He continued to slash the Megazord, which came back up to its full height after the barrage.

"We need a new plan," Troy said.
[Gokaiger 37. 21:15-21:19]
Vekar's Megazord lifted its arms. Energy spiraled towards its chest.
"The finisher!" he shouted.
The Megazord stood there.
[Gokaiger 37. 21:20-21:24]
A massive blast of power flew forward, slamming into the Megazord.

The team cried out as they were shaken around the cockpit.
[Gokaiger 37. 22:06-22:16]
The blast continued.
"Are you watching, everyone?" Vekar questioned, "This is my power!" he shouted as he pushed a lever forward, making the blast stronger.
[Gokaiger 37. 22:37-22:39]
The Megazord stumbled back.
[Gokaiger 37. 22:41-22:44]
The Pirate Megazord appeared to explode.
[Gokaiger 37. 22:46-22:50]
The falling Megazord reverted back into its individual components and the Skyship flew away, then crashed.
[Gokaiger 37. 22:54-23:08]
Vekar's Megazord lifted its arms.
"There, this is my power," Vekar said, "I may not be a fighter, but I can do this. Dravo, Hexatrix, Argus, Hamerne, Jerox, Vrak, Father…" he was saying.
The Skyship remained beached on the ground.

The team pulled themselves onto the torn up ground, panting.
"He's so strong…," Troy muttered, tearing off his helmet.
"Guys!" Paul shouted, running towards them.
"Paul?" Gia asked.
"What happened?" Jake questioned him.
"Your arms weren't compatible with my Megazord," he said, "I couldn't do anything. I bailed as soon as you guys went down, because you still had my arms…"
"Is he going to destroy the city?" Jake questioned.
"I don't know," Troy said, looking towards the city, "But we have to stop him."
"You won, so why did you return?" Vrak asked as Vekar walked into the throne room.
"My Zord ran out of fuel," he said. He snapped his fingers, "Hamerne, go and distract the Rangers until I'm refueled and ready to go back."
His bodyguard bowed, "Yes my Prince," he said, hurrying out the door.
"You did well out there," Vrak told him.
"Thank you, brother."
"Next time let's try our other Zords," Gia said, "I think the Samurai combination or the Ninja Storm combination might be best."
"Or we shoot him with SPD," Jake said, "Keep our distance."
"I'm more concerned about losing the Turbo Falcon Zord," Noah said, "But I think I can use the transmitter we got ahold of and try to release it by mimicking the signal."
"I'll help," Paul said, following Noah.
The others waited around with their crashed ship behind them, "So what, do we wait until he comes back, then pull the Megazord back together?" Jake asked.
"I imagine you might want to take the fight to him," Emma muttered.
"What?" he questioned, "This and that are nothing alike!"
"I don't know Jake," she said, "You always used to be like this, and what I saw the other day makes me wonder if you're regressing!"
"Jake, Emma, stop it!" Troy yelled at them.
"Yeah, what's wrong here?" Gia questioned.
"She's angry because I attacked Metins at the mines instead of following them to try to find Troy."
"I'd be angry too," Gia said.
Troy nodded, "Emma's the one with the point here, but…she shouldn't be angry like this. It worked out. I know you didn't know at the time. None of us would, but it worked, so let's just forget about it and move on. We're a team here; we should be acting like one, not bickering amongst each other. But Jake, next time, don't do that."
The four Rangers turned to see the red armored Hamerne walking towards them. He laughed and lifted a hand, "Hello."
The Rangers looked at each other and drew their sidearms, "Stop right there!" Troy shouted.
"I'd rather not," Hamerne said, brandishing his hammer. He ran forward, through the blasts. They struck him head on, but he didn't stop.
He swung his hammer into Gia, throwing her back with a shout. Jake shouted and lashed out a kick for his side, but Hamerne caught his leg and pushed him back, then hit him with the top of his hammer to knock him back.
He span around, sweeping out Emma's legs with the weapon, then stomped on her chest. He swung and shouted at Troy, who blocked with his sword. Hamerne twisted and rammed his claws into Troy's chest, throwing him back.
"I'm one of Prince Vekar's guards," he said, "Unlike Jerox, I won't be destroyed!"
"I wouldn't bet on that!" Paul shouted as he leapt forward in his Battlizer, slashing Hamerne twice in the chest. The monster grunted and stumbled back.
Jake came to his feet with the Lion Hammer, "Hammer for a hammer!" he shouted, slamming it into Hamerne.
"Lucky shot," the monster grunted.
"This isn't!" Troy shouted, leveling the Megaforce Blazer at him. "Ha!"
The blast slammed into Hamerne and he fell, exploding.
"So…that was easy," Paul said as he lowered his trident.
"Yeah…," Troy said.
"Guys, he's not growing," Jake pointed out.
"Huh…," Paul said.
They stood there for a few seconds, but nothing happened.
"Ok, I'm going to go finish helping Noah," Paul said, running off.
"Refueling is complete," Hexatrix told Vekar.
"Excellent," he said.
"Good luck, brother," Vrak told him.
Vekar nodded and stepped out.
"We got it!" Noah said, running to the others with the control panel in his hand, "The next time we try to summon the Turbo Falcon Zord, it'll appear as usual. I tried right away, and it was blocked. But now it should work."
"Good, if we need to we'll release all of the Zords," Troy said.
"Look over there!" Jake said, pointing to the city.
[Gokaiger 38. 17:32-17:47]
A ball of light came down towards the Earth.
"This time Rangers, I'll crush you. I have enough fuel now," Vekar muttered. "I'll win."
The two Megazords finished their transformations.
"You don't stand a chance against my Megazord!" Vekar shouted as the two Megazords opposed his.
"My turn!" Paul shouted.
[Gokaiger 38. 17:49-17:56]
The three drills came forward, but arrows stopped the attack and blasted into the Q-Rex Drill Megazord, stumbling it.

"Paul!" the team shouted.
Troy hit some buttons, "Alright, Fireheart!"
[Gokaiger 38. 18:00-18:08]
Fireheart emerged from the Megazord and flew around the Megazord in an attempt to use the Magic Spell Seal. "Magical Source, Mystic Force!" the team shouted.
"Won't work!" Vekar shouted, shattering the seal and blasting Fireheart.
[Gokaiger 38. 18:09-18:25]
"Then try this!" Noah shouted as the Minizord emerged. "Minizord Storm!"
The copies flew forward, but Vekar blasted them away with his torso blast. He loosed arrows at the two Megazords while laughing.

Both Megazords took hits.

The Rangers cried out as they stumbled around the cockpits.
[Gokaiger 38. 18:28-18:36]
"How did you escape?" Vekar shouted as the Turbo Falcon Zord flew at him.
His arrows came close but missed. The chest blast knocked the Zord back to the other two.
[Gokaiger 38. 18:38-18:42]
"It's time to end this," Vekar said.
[Gokaiger 38. 18:44-18:47]
"Surrender," he hissed.

"I found something that might work," Noah said, looking at the others, "I sent it to your panels."
They all looked down.
"Let's do it," Troy said, "This looks like it'll be powerful enough to give us the victory."
[Gokaiger 38. 19:14-19:15]
The two Megazords had their backs straighten as they got ready.
[Gokaiger 38. 19:20-19:36 (note: at 19:34 edit the "Kanzen Soul" off)]
Both Megazords projected their symbols, as did the Turbo Falcon Zord. All three glowed, and Vekar's Megazord stumbled back. He shielded his eyes in the cockpit, "What?"
The two Megazords opened. "What's that?" Vekar shouted.
The light from the Megazords combined into a giant Engine Cell, which they grabbed.

The Turbo Falcon Zord shot forward, then turned around and drove for them.

"I'm ready guys," Paul said.
"So are we," Troy answered, "Let's give him everything we've got!"
"Yeah!" everyone shouted.
[Gokaiger 38. 19:47-20:22 (note: edit out "Super Sentai on the wheel)]
The two Megazords inserted their new Cell. The three Zords moved forward and split apart, combining into one new, massive Megazord.

The six Rangers were in the same cockpit now.
"This is our Ultrazord!" Paul said, "What do we call it?"
"How about Pirate Mega Ultrazord?" Jake asked.
"Too redundant. Mega and Ultra?" Gia questioned.
"We'll deal with it later," Troy said, "Let's go!"
[Gokaiger 38. 20:25-20:37]
"What is that?" Vekar shouted.
[Gokaiger 38. 20:39-20:58]
Vekar shouted as he sent his Megazord forward. It swung at the Ultrazord, but the taller machine slashed him with the drill and then punched him.
Vekar shouted and fired arrows, but the Ultrazord kept coming.
"I won't fail…I will destroy you!" Vekar shouted, shaking a little. His Megazord began to move side to side at higher speeds.

"Let's just put a stop to that right now," Gia said, hitting something.
[Gokaiger 38. 20:59-21:09 (note: edit missiles into lasers)]
Lasers flew from the fingers of the giant gauntlet, blasting the Megazord.
Vekar shouted in annoyance.
[Gokaiger 38. 21:10-21:18]
The drill charged and slashed the Megazord down the chest.
"How is this happening? How can I possibly lose?" Vekar shouted.
The Ultrazord moved away and slid to a stop.
[Gokaiger 38. 21:20-21:43]
The Ultrazord drew back and then punched. The gauntlet flew forward and smashed through the Megazord.
Vekar shouted as his cockpit exploded around him.
The gauntlet returned to the Ultrazord's left hand.
"No! I…I cannot fall!" Vekar screamed, "No!"
The Megazord fell as the Ultrazord turned.

"It's over," Troy said, "One down, now for Vrak."
Hexatrix and Dravo watched the screen in silence.
"He's…he's gone," Hexatrix said softly.
Dravo shouted and slammed his fist into the panel.
Hexatrix approached Vrak. Both were silent.
"How do you feel?" she questioned.
"He was my brother," Vrak said.
"That's not an answer," she told him, "Either that's remorse at his destruction, or you're saying it in a manner of lineage, and that you can now command this ship and fleet."
"He was my brother," is all Vrak said, "But you are right, this ship and fleet is mine now."
"No, it's not," a deep voice told him.
Vrak turned in shock to the entrance of the bridge. A black figure walked into the room, flanked by a white figure with a black cross-shaped head (note: Black Cross King from the 199 movie).
"Father…," Vrak said.
The black figure walked forward, "That's right," he said, "I'm in charge now. I want this planet. I want the Door."
"Y…yes Father," Vrak said, bowing.
"My King," Hexatrix said, bowing, "Who is your guest, if I may ask?"
"This is Master Vile," the King answered.
"M…Master Vile?" Hexatrix asked.
"I've changed," he said simply, "I serve as King Verox's advisor now. And I'm here for revenge against this planet."
"And now I have a reason for revenge as well," Verox hissed, "For my son."
The Rangers came together on the Skyship.
"Let's just hope they don't retaliate even more for losing their Prince," Noah said.
Troy nodded, "We should train as if they will. But we have the Ultrazord now, so we should be fine."
"For a while," Paul said.
Troy nodded, "Yeah…for a while," he said.
"Look," Emma told Jake, "I'm sorry."
"No, I am," he said, "I shouldn't have done that. You were right. Let's ignore it and move on."
She gave him a nod and walked over to Gia. Jake turned to Troy, "What about Pirate RPM Ultrazord?"
Troy nodded, "Makes sense to me. Pirate RPM Ultrazord…"
[Gokaiger 38. 22:57-23:16]
The remains of Vekar's Megazord lay burning. Dravo walked out of the remains, cradling the body of Vekar in his arms.
"You can be lain to rest," he said softly, "But I swear to you, my Prince. I will destroy the Rangers for this." He looked at the Skyship passing by in the night, "I failed you as a bodyguard. But no more."
