She woke up with her underwear still on, Kaiba had never had so much hard alcohol in his life, and so a bottle of tequila between the two of them was enough to knock him out. She got up and quietly walked to her bag. She took out a sword, a lotus, and a bottle of tomato sauce. She walked up to him, lying passed out on the bed. She stood close to the edge where he was lying. She lifted her sword up into the air, and thought that she might not actually need the tomato sauce. She lowered the sword, and took a deep breath. She lifted it again and placed it down on his neck. She opened the bottle of tomato sauce and spread it all over his neck and head, on the sword and on the bed. She placed the lotus on the sword and took out her phone. She took a photo of him and sent it to Ricardo. It went through and he sent something back.
"Thanks." It read.
She picked up her sword and cleaned it with his clothes. She walked back to her bag and put it away. When she turned around, he was sitting up.
"What are you doing? What's going on?" he asked seeing he and his bed covered in tomato sauce.
"Nothing." She said.
He looked at the lotus lying next to him.
"It's you." He said, picking it up.
"It's not what you think." She said.
"You killed those men." He said, standing up.
"You're the assassin that killed them." He added.
"Oh, like you wouldn't think of doing it yourself." She said, picking up her bag.
"But, how?" he said.
"You know I came to you when I was 14, and you liked me. That's all you know about my past." She smiled, swinging the bag over her shoulder.
"Yes."
"What you don't know is what I did before that." She said.
"You're an assassin." He said.
"Yes, the child assassin. 'Desert Rose' is my alias." She said.
"Where you paid to kill me?" he asked.
"No, I said that I would do you for free, and the guy thinks you're dead now, so don't push it."
"Why, did you spare me?" he asked puzzled. She sighed and looked at him.
"Because despite all the crap you put me through, I can't kill you. But I won't mind if you say something about me."
"You'll kill me if I tell anyone." He asked and she nodded.
"Yes." She walked out the door.
"Tell me more." He asked.
"Why, so you can bust me."
"No, I'm interested." He begged.
"Okay." She said, coming back into the room and looking at him.
"The sensei's all called me a child prodigy. I had the instinct of a killer and the face of a child, no one would ever suspect me." she sat down on the couch.
"I was born in the camp where they trained in martial arts, and when they saw the mark on my back, they knew I was the one child they had been waiting for."
"What mark?" he asked.
"I had a birthmark, shaped like a pair of wings on my back, across my shoulders. I grew up with the sensei's and when I was three, they started training me. I was asked to kill the first time when I was 9 and I ran away when I was fourteen. Then i came to you. A year later, you and I got together. My sister, Amber was an assassin for fun, not for money. So here I am." She explained to him.
"There is something I don't understand?" he asked, looking at her.
"Yes?"
"You have a tattoo on your back, not a birthmark." He remembered her Egyptian wings tattoo.
"When I realized what had been trained to do, who I was, what lay ahead for me, I didn't like it, so I tried to get rid of it, the birthmark, by having something tattooed over it." She explained.
"Did it work?" he asked.
"For a while, but trying to hide who I was and what was destined for me, was like lying to myself. It just reinforced what was coming. The Egyptian wings on my back." She explained.
"Was coming?"
"Is coming." She said.
"The Pharaoh, and me. We have to," she stopped, knowing that Kaiba had a hard time believing her.
"Never mind." She said.
She stood up and walked to the door.
"Get yourself cleaned up." She said not looking at him.
"Kaiba, don't tell anyone. Please." She asked him again.
"I won't." he said and she walked out.

She went down to the parking lot and got on her bike. She went home, to her apartment.
When she got there, there was a big party being held. She decided to knock, just to see everyone's faces. She knocked and a few seconds later the music became softer and some one answered the door.
"Hi, can I help you?" he asked.
"Yeah, can I talk to the person who lives here?" she said.
"Hey, Amber, there's someone here to see you." He said, walking into the room.
She followed him in. There were pizza boxes everywhere and the music was blaring. Amber came out of the bedroom, drying her hair. When she saw Cerise, she dropped the hair dryer.
"Cerise, I wasn't expecting you home till,"
"Monday. Yeah." She said, looking around. This place was a mess.
"Who's this?" he said, sitting on the counter.
"This is…" Amber said, but was cut short by Cerise.
"I am the owner of this place, so if you don't mind." She grabbed him by his ear and pulled him off the counter.
"She owns it." He looked at Amber.
She nodded shyly.
"Yeah... you can get out now." Cerise smiled.
He grabbed his jacket and ran out as fast as he could.
"Thanks, he's like a leech. I've been trying to get rid of him for ages." She sat down on the couch.
"Who was he?" Cerise sat down next to her.
"He's a guy I met in a bar two days ago. He hasn't left me alone since. So where did you go?" Amber asked her sister.
"I went everywhere. You know those ten guys."
"You did that, I knew it."
"Yep. How did I do?" Cerise asked, knowing Amber would be following the story.
"You did great. They still don't have any leads."
"Good. Man I love watching the light leave their eyes. I'll never get tired of that."
"How much for them?" Amber asked.
"Two each."
"Twenty in total. Wow, maybe you should quit your job at Kaiba corp. And do this for a living."
"I think I don't have a job anymore." She smiled at Amber.
"Why?"
"There were eleven guys on the list Ricardo gave me. The eleventh one is here, in Domino."
"Who is he?" Amber asked.
Cerise stared at her as she went to go get a bottle of water out of the fridge.
"Oh no. Are you serious?" Amber said.
Cerise nodded.
"It was Kaiba." She cupped her hands over her mouth.
"So did you?"
"No I couldn't. But Ricardo thinks he's dead." Cerise said, opening her bottle of water.
"Oh. You won't be able to hide it for long." Amber said.
"Yeah, so what, like Ricardo can come after me." She said, sipping the water.
"So what's this about Duke that I hear?"
"Duke, there's nothing." Amber got up and got a bottle of water for herself.
"Don't lie to me." Cerise said.
"Okay." Amber ran to the couch and jumped onto it.
"We're going out." She said.
"Oh, Duke, I never thought that he would be your type." Cerise said.
"No, he's just perfect for me." she smiled.
"I never thought that you would go for someone like Atemu." Amber added.
"Well, to be honest with you, neither did I. I always saw myself with someone like Kaiba for the rest of my life." She admitted, as she walked over to the couch and sat down next to her sister.
"Yeah, you've always liked the bad boys."
"Meaning?" she asked her.
"Atemu isn't really the poster boy for bad."
"He has a bad streak in him." Cerise said to Amber.
"Yeah, I heard about the whole vampire thing."
"Oh, you heard that, hey?" Cerise hung her head.
"Atemu said to would tell me some things when you got back. Are you going to tell me now?" Amber asked. Cerise looked at her and sighed. It was time.
"The blood demon thing wasn't as bad as everything thinks it was. I was happy. We were happy." Cerise explained.
"The problem came in, when Yugi went to Kaiba. He came to get us, and he began manufacturing a cure. His scientists studied us first, then gave us the cure." Cerise explained. Amber pulled her legs under and looked at her sister.
"But, you're okay now, right?" Amber asked. Cerise got up and walked up to the window.
"I don't think I'll ever be okay, Amber." She sighed.
"You see, the cure worked, but it also..." she stopped. Would Amber understand her pain, her loss?
"Also, what?"
"I was, pregnant." Cerise said, looking at her.
"The cure, killed the baby." She sighed. Amber looked at her sister, standing alone by the window and saw her tears running over her cheeks.
"Oh, Cerise." She said, getting up and walking over to her. She hugged her tightly and let her sister cry. She cried loudly as she mourned one last time for her and Atemu's baby. She had got rid of her rage, and all that was left was the raw wound.
Amber lead her back to the couch and when she had stopped, she asked who the father was.
"It was Atemu's." Cerise told her wiping her tears away.
"Don't worry, I'm sure as soon as your all better, you and him can have as many babies as you want." She hugged her again.
"Amber, there's something else." Cerise said, looking at her.
"What?" she asked.
"Well, I need to take you to the museum, so I can explain." Cerise said to her.
"Ok, I'm sure Atemu's there too. He likes to hang out there." Amber said and then suddenly there was a knock at the door.
"Hey, Amber you here?" a familiar voice said.
"Hey, look who it is." Cerise got up and answered the door.
It was the gang.
"Hey guys." She smiled at them as they saw her.
"Hey, you're back." Joey bombarded in and hugged her.
"Hey, Joey." She said.
"Good to have you back." Yugi smiled.
"Thanks Yug, it's so good to see you guys." She said to them.
"Hey, I bet the Pharaoh is going to be happy to see you." Tristan said.
Duke sneaked behind everyone, to go stand close to Amber, but didn't hug or kiss her. Cerise looked at the two of them, trying very hard not touch each other.
"It's okay, I know about you two." Cerise smiled.
"Hey, where is my royal boyfriend?" Cerise asked.
"He's at the museum." Joey said.
"As I suspected." Amber said, reaching out and taking Duke's hand.
"Why?" Cerise asked him.
"He has spent every day there ever since you left." Tristan said.
"He feels at home there." Yugi said to her.
"Then I think we should go see him." Cerise grabbed her keys.

Everyone rode in Cerise's car and Cerise took her bike. When she got there, the Egyptian wing was closed. She pushed open the door quietly, to see Atemu kneeling in front of the statue of Ra. He had his eyes closed so he didn't see her come in. She walked up to him and heard him praying. She put her hand on his shoulder. He opened his eyes and took a breath. He turned his head and stood up.
"It's you." He said.
"Hi." She replied.
"You're back!" he shouted, jumped up and grabbed around her waist and lifted her up in the air.
He spun her around, shouting 'you're back'. She was laughing. When everyone else got there, they were just about to kiss.
"What are you doing here?" she asked him, when he put her down.
"I feel at home here. But now that you're home." He kissed her again.

"You said you wanted to explain something to me." Amber called Cerise's attention back to her.
"Yeah." Cerise said, looking at her then back at Atemu.
"Would you like some help?" he whispered to her.
"Maybe just Ishizu. Amber's going to be angry." She whispered back.
Atemu nodded, and walked off, to the back where he knew Ishizu was busy with his mummy.
"Where's he going?" Amber asked her sister.
"There is someone I want you to meet, before I begin." Cerise said, as Ishizu walked out of the back.
"You're home, my Queen." Ishizu bowed to her.
"Queen, boy you got the wrong lady, lady." Amber teased her.
"Amber, this is Ishizu Ishtar. She's an Egyptian whose bloodline can be traced back 5000 years." Cerise began to explain.
"Her family has guarded and watched over a tomb for as long, waiting for the Pharaoh in the tomb to be reborn." She went on explaining.
"Sounds like a long wait." Amber said.
But Cerise smiled.
"However, her, and her brothers wait, is over. The Pharaoh has been reborn." Cerise smiled.
"So... who is it?" she asked Ishizu.
"It's Atemu." Cerise said to her.
"Atemu, this Atemu, or another one?" Amber asked, pointing at him.
"No, it's me." Atemu said, stepping up to Cerise and taking her hand.
"You, but you don't look Egyptian." Amber said.
"Not yet." Atemu said looking at Cerise.
"Not yet, what's going on here, are you moving to Egypt?" Amber asked them and Cerise nodded.
"Of sorts, yes." She smiled.
"Cerise, you're going to have to explain this to me. I just moved here, and now you're leaving." Amber whined. Cerise walked up to her.
"Let me show you the tablet, then Ishizu can tell you what she has seen. Then, I'll explain." Cerise said, pulling her towards the tablet that showed Atemu fighting Seto.

They sat outside in the park and Amber was trying to take it all in.
"Are you okay?" Cerise asked her sister, as the others all sat nearby and relaxed in the sun.
"I don't want to talk about it." Amber said.
"Well, we have to." Cerise pressed her.
"Why didn't you tell me, sissa?" Amber asked her.
"I thought you wouldn't understand. I know how you feel about past lives and stuff like that."
"Yeah, but I have to accept that this time it's the real thing. You're going back in time, to 3000 BC, to rule as Queen, next to Atemu." Amber said looking at her.
"Yeah, that is going to happen. But I don't know when." Cerise sighed.
"You love him right, enough to do this?" Amber asked and Cerise nodded.
"What's going to happen to all your stuff?" Amber asked
"I thought about it, and I think I'll give it to you." She smiled at Amber.
"To me?"
"Do you have another idea?" she asked her.
"No. Thank you. For everything." Amber said, tears forming in her eyes.
"Hey I'm not gone yet, until I'm gone, you can bunk here." Cerise smiled.
"Um…" Amber said, looking away.
"You don't have anything to get back to do you?"
"No, not really. It's just... I'm going to miss you."
"Hey, you and Duke are going to so busy, you won't have time to miss me." Cerise said to Amber.
It didn't help; Amber started crying.
"Hey, I'll come visit if I can, and then if I can't you can always go to the museum and see me." Cerise hugged her sister.
"It's not the same." Amber cried.
Cerise hugged her tightly and looked at the others. Atemu just looked at them and she smiled at him.
"Everything will be ok. I'm finally going home." She said, looking at Amber.
"I never belonged here, and you know it." She added.
"I know." Amber said, breaking the hug.
"Everything will be ok." Cerise said, wiping her sister's tears away.
"Let's go home." She added.

That night, they had a big party. There were many photo's taken that night.
"Everyone stand there." Cerise said.
She set the camera for a delayed photo and ran to get in.
"What are you wearing on your head Joey?" she asked.
"My own party hat." He said.
The shot went off and they got the photo.
