They continued their search for May, but eventually stopped by the library to gather information on Alkahestry. Even after hours of looking nothing really came up.

"What do you expect? Alkahestry is of Xing, of course nothing much is going to come up in a library in Amestris." Renee explained, setting down the book she was reading.

"There has to be something! A mention at least!" Ed stated, "I don't want to resort to actually going to Xing. Crossing the desert in automail sounds hot." Renee sighed and giggled a bit putting away the books with Ed. When a shadow came over them they both looked up to see Armstrong looming over the bookshelf. Ed jumped back. "What th-"

"Oh hello Major!" Renee smiled, saluting him. He pushed aside the bookshelves.

"There you are!" His voice boomed throughout the library. He walked in front of them and pushed the bookshelves back. Armstrong leaned in and whispered to them about May and the his duty for the day. He gave Ed a letter and told him of the 'Northern Wall of Briggs' or Major General Armstrong. When Armstrong left, Ed ran off to find Al, Renee following close behind him.

"Al! Hey Al!" Ed called.

"Ed! Shush!" Renee whispered at him, though her attempt to quiet down the alchemist was futile.

"Quiet brother! This is a library." Alphonse stated, and Ed stopped.

"So you listen to him..." Renee huffed. The little boy beside Al, started gushing about Ed being the Fullmetal Alchemist. Of course Ed got mad when the boy mentioned that he was small, but that quickly went away when they realized it was Selim Bradley, the Fuhrer's son. Some how they ended up being escorted to the Fuhrer's home.

"Actually. I'm going to go back to the hotel, and get our stuff ready." Renee chuckled, running off before she could get pulled into it to. When she reached the hotel she went up to their room and collapsed on the couch with a sigh. She wouldn't admit it, at least not any time soon, but the Fuhrer scared her. Scared her a lot more than Father did. Father had healed her, and Renee had speculated, that he saw her as a candidate for sacrifice, though that was only speculation. Something told Renee that even so, the Fuhrer wouldn't hesitate to strike her down. She had gotten by the other times she's been faced with him, but being at his house... that was different. He would be forced to notice her. Renee had gotten a call from Winry at the front desk when Al and Ed were returning.

"You know sometimes I just want to go back to Resembool or down to Rush Valley with you and just chill. Get some time off of this. I haven't seen you in a while, and Angie and Pinako even more so." Renee smiled as she talked into the receiver. Ed and Al had just entered the front door the hotel and overheard this.

"I've gotta keep on my toes though. I can tough through this and bring you back the boys as you knew them before." Renee laughed. Ed smiled at her remark, and Al would be smiling too.

"Haha, okay. Talk to you soon." Renee ended and hung up the phone, she turned to head back up to the room when she noticed Ed and Al. "Oh hey guys! Come on. We've gotta get going!" She continued up to the room. Ed and Al nodded and followed her.
