Chapter 35
Beth rolled over to avoid the weapon, wincing as her leg came in contact with the concrete. The dagger slammed onto the ground next to her as Beth scrambled to her feet. With every action that she did, her calf hurt worse and worse.
Carol leaped at her and body slammed her to the ground, pinning her. "How do you keep escaping?" She hissed in Beth's face, teeth gritted. Instead of replying, Beth lifted her fist to punch Carol, but Carol quickly locked down her wrists by laying her forearm tightly down on it.
"Now you're gonna die, and so is all of your precious little group." Anger built up inside of Beth. She'd been tortured by Carol, but she wasn't going to let it happen to her friends. So she procrastinated.
"What, you think you're gonna get away with this?" Carol shrugs as best as she can while holding Beth down, but still keeping her tight grip. "I'll become a full member of Terminus if I do." "That's your excuse? For killing all of your family?" Beth thought of something she knew would really sting. "Sophia would hate you if she saw you now."
Carol yelled in rage as Beth kneed her in the stomach with all the strength she could muster up, Carol stumbled back as Beth got up on her feet. She kicked Carol in the chest with her good foot, but Carol grabbed her leg and yanked back, making her fall back to the ground.
Beth hit her head against the cement and felt a warm liquid on the back of her skull. Everything was blurry for a few seconds. She was seeing double. All of the gunshots from the other side of the building were muffled and Beth could hear ringing in her ears. Carol came into her line of vision, slowly walking up to the blonde.
All of Beth instincts came into place then. As Carol kneeled down in front of her, Beth's hand inched for the long knife in her back pocket. She got it out as quick as possible and crawled back to buy her some time to stand. As soon as she was standing, her and Carol were face to face.
Without thinking, Carol rushed towards Beth with the knife, completely winging it. She wanted Beth's life to end as soon as possible, and the fight wasn't about strategy anymore.
Beth ducked under Carol's arm and Carol spun around to face her. But it was too late. As soon as Carol was looking at Beth, Beth shoved the pocket knife from the soldier into Carol's abdomen. Her mouth opened in a silent gasp as everything in the world seemed to go still. Beth yanked her knife back out of Carol's stomach as the elder woman fell against the wall, clutching her torso.
Carol dropped the knife in shock as Beth backed away with tears streaming down her face. She turned and started walking out of the alley. But Carol wasn't completely done yet. With one last final piece of effort, Carol whipped out her pistol from her waistband and raised it.
Beth heard a gunshot ring out behind her right after she felt herself hurtling towards the ground. Someone- or something- had pushed her down to avoid the bullet. Beth's breaths came out as gasps as horror struck across her face.
She slowly craned her head to see behind her. Tyreese's body lies a foot away from her feet. Beth gasps and scrambles to her knees as she goes to inspect if he's alive or not. The bullet hole in his head proves that he's not coming back- alive or dead. Beth let out one big sob as frustration and anger filled her small body.
Before thinking, she grabbed the rifle that Tyreese had been holding as he'd been coming in their direction. She lifted it up, with tears in her eyes, and fired many shots at Carol's now lifeless body. Carol's body jerked with each bullet as they kept coming.
Even when the gun was out of ammo, Beth kept pulling the trigger as if it was going to make any difference. After another minute, Beth fell to the ground with sobs wracking her body. She was stronger than when she was at the farm, but she was still human. She still had a sliver of humanity left in her, and she intended to keep it close.
THE END
JUST KIDDING
A/N: So... Yeah. That sorta happened. Carol's dead now, and so is Tyreese... I really hope that I don't get a bunch of hate reviews for this... What did y'all think about the chapter? Let me know in the reviews. Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter myself. I almost didn't write Tyreese's death, but I felt like I needed to. At least 2 main characters die each season of TWD. Only Maggie had died before this chapter, and the story is almost over. 2 more chapters left! So sad! There WILL be a sequel, though! YAY! If you want the sequel to happen ASAP, please send me AWESOMETACULAR pictures in the PMing or links to some pics. I'm HORRIBLE at finding good pics, PLUS it would be a good birthday present since mine is coming up in about a week now! ANYWAY, THANKS FOR READING! :)
