Rod and Mac immediately walked over in her direction and soon spotted Rebecca kissing a man. They walked over to her and stood beside her, by now most people were looking as everyone in the bar saw what was going on, but Rod just wanted to kill this man, he was not a young boy he must have been in his twenties. Rod coughed loudly and Rebecca looked up.
Rebecca: Mom, Dad what are you doing here
Rod: I should ask you the same question
Rod was furious he and Mac were towering above the young couple who were now very scared
Colin: Madam president it is an honour to meet you
Mac: It would be more of an honour if you were not in a bar with my daughter who is by the way underage
Mac put her hands on her hips and looked at her daughter, Rebecca could see the disappointment in her mothers eyes
Rebecca: It is my fault don't blame Colin and he never bought me alcohol
Mac: There is a limo outside Rebecca get in it we will be there behind you
Rebecca went to the limo and got in she knew she was going to be in big trouble now
Rod: Honey you stay here and enjoy your night
Mac: No i don't want to we need to deal with her tonight
Mac went to find her staff to let them know she was going home, she found Kelly.
Mac: We are going to leave now Kelly we need to deal with Becca
Kelly: Do you want us to leave too
Mac: No you should all stay enjoy your night I will see you on Monday morning
Mac and Rod left the bar to lots of press outside who were shouting many questions to her and Rod.
Reporter: Did you know your daughter was here and come to confront her
Reporter: Did you know your daughter was dating someone from Nathan Tempelton's office
Reporter: Is Rebecca going to be punished for her actions tonight.
Mac and Rod got into the limo they were both furious at there daughter.
Mac: What just happened there Rebecca
Rebecca: I am really sorry Mom
Rod: How long have you been going out with that guy for
Rebecca: Today was our first date
Mac: How did you meet him
Rebecca: Online
Mac: You went and met a guy from the internet, Rebecca you should never do that it is so dangerous, people can lie online
Rebecca: I had secret service with me, I really done nothing wrong, I was not drinking
Mac: What about honesty and trust, you told us you were going to a friends birthday party, we trusted you and you let us down
Rebecca: I knew you would not let me go if you knew the truth
Mac: You are right there we would not have let you go.
The limo drove up to the Whitehouse and the 3 of them went straight to the residence
Mac: All right young lady go and sit in the dining room we are going to talk about this behaviour
Rod and Mac went to check on the youngest 3 children before going into the dining room to see Rebecca
Rod: I AM SO ANGRY WITH YOU RIGHT NOW, HOW OLD IS THAT BOY
Rebecca: He is 22,
Mac: Where does he work
Mac had heard the reporter say that he works for Nathan Tempelton, she wanted to know if this was true
Rebecca: He is an intern for Mr Tempelton
Rod: REBECCA ARE YOU STUPID, DONT YOU THINK HE IS MAYBE USING YOU TO GET TO YOUR MOTHER
Rebecca: NO, I LOVE HIM
Mac: YOU HAVE KNOWN HIM FOR 2 MINUTES
Rod: YOU ARE NOT TO SEE HIM AGAIN DO YOU HEAR ME
Rebecca: THAT IS NOT FAIR, he never knew who I was until today,he is not using me
Mac was furious at her daughter, but had managed to calm herself down so that she was no longer shouting
Mac: Honey I don't mind that he works for Nathan my problem is that he works a full time job and is no longer a school, he is far too old for you
Rebecca: Mom he is only 22 I mean I will be 17 in a few weeks so he will only be 5 and a half years older than me
Mac: that is a big age difference, this guy has finished college and you still have a year of high school
Rod: I AM NOT HAVING IT REBECCA, YOU WILL NOT SEE HIM AGAIN AND THAT WILL BE THE END OF THE DISCUSSION
Mac: Rod lets calm down and we can discuss this calmly, Rebecca go upstairs to your room, your father and I will discuss you punishment and come up to see you
Rebecca went upstairs she could not believe her luck the one time her parents went out to a bar just happened to be the night she was there.
Mac: Rod if we tell her she can't see him he will be more appealing to her
Rod: So we let her date a 22 year old, are you really happy with it
Rod was getting very flustered and the vain at the top of his head was popping out a sure sign that he was angry. He got up and started to pace the floor
Mac: Of course I am not happy about it, but we are losing her and I don't want that
Rod: Mac I am not happy about her dating him, I know what 22 year old men want, remember I was one not that long ago
Mac: It was a fair while ago Rod, in fact nearly 25 years
They both laughed weakly
Rod: I just mean all 22 year old men want is sex and Rebecca is only 16
Mac: And the age of consent in DC is 16 so she won't be breaking any laws
Rod: Do you really think she is ready for sex
Mac: I don't know Rod, but we can't stop her from doing it as much as I want to keep her a baby, she isn't one and I don't want to lose her, by not letting her see him
Rod sat at the table and he took his wives hand he could tell that this was very difficult for her
Rod: If we let her see him, then he is only allowed to see her in this house and he is not allowed in her room at all
Mac: She will want to go out on dates with him
Rod: As long as he has her home for 10 and he better not touch her
Mac: I will talk to Rebecca and make it perfectly clear that she can see him, and what kind of behaviour I think is appropriate
Rod: I think we should have the sex talk with her again
Mac: Would you like to do that Rod, you always leave it to me, even with Horace
Mac was annoyed by this fact whenever there was a need for one of the kids to have a sex discussion Rod always found a way out of it, even if Amy asked awkward questions like what is a virgin.
Rod: Well you are so much better at it than me
Mac: Speaking of Horace it is 10.45 and he is not home yet, I think maybe you will have to talk to him about sex it looks like him and Stacey are getting very serious
Rod: can't you do it,
Mac: No he needs to hear it from you, I will deal with Rebecca and you can deal with Horace
Rod: So what are we going to do about Rebecca are we grounding her for lying and going to a bar
Mac: Yes, for how long
Rod: I don't know how about indefinitely, let her sweat for a while and take her phone and computer off her too
Mac: OK
Just then Horace came in and it was now 11pm
Mac: What time do you call this young man
Horace: Sorry I am late, my watch stopped
Mac picked up Horace's wrist and looked at his watch, which said 11pm
Mac: Next time you use that excuse it may be a good idea to put your watch back and hour or so
Rod: Your curfew was 1 hour ago
Horace: i am sorry I lost track of time,
Mac: Well I hope you had fun, you have just got yourself grounded for 2 weeks
Horace: That is not fair last time it was just 1 week
Rod: And you obviously never learned your lesson, now go upstairs
Mac and Rod followed Horace upstairs and went to their daughters room
Mac: We have decided that you are grounded
Rebecca: For how long
Rod: We don't know yet and I want your cellphone , IM machine and Laptop
Rebecca: That is so not fair you can't stop me from seeing Colin
Mac: We are not going to, you can see him when you are no longer grounded.
Mac looked at Rod he knew he wanted her to leave, he was going to talk to Horace and she was going to talk to Becca.
Rod left the room for his sons and Mac sat on Rebecca's bed
Mac: Darling I want to be here for you and I know it is difficult because of my job and it is a lot harder since your cousins have come to stay,
Rebecca: You are here for me, I mean you are in my room
Mac: I managed to talk your father into letting you see Colin, but there will be no more sneaking around and I want you to realise that he is a lot older than you and he will be looking for a lot more out of a relationship than you should be
Rebecca: Mom I learned from Mike that I am not ready to have sex yet and I know that if Colin really loves me he will not force me
Mac: I am glad to hear that Sweetie, I just wanted to make sure that you know it is OK to say no and you should wait as long as possible
Rebecca: Yeah I know Mom
Mac: Honey you know that when you are ready you can come to me I am not a prude I was not a virgin when I got married
Rebecca: Mom she said this in an embrrased tone
Mac: Get some sleep
Rebecca: My laptop and IM machine are over there and here is my cell phone
Rebecca handed her mother her cell phone and Mac gave her it back
Mac: Give Colin a message let him know that for the next month you will not be able to see or talk to him, but after that you can date him again
Rebecca: Thanks Mom
Mac: Give me your phone in the morning we won't tell your Dad that you sent Colin a message
Rebecca: Mom I love you
Mac was so happy Rebecca had not said that too her for a long time and she missed it dearly
Mac: I love you too my baby girl, see you in the morning.
She kissed her daughter head and left her room
Rod went to Horace's room he knocked on the door, but there was no answer, all Rod could hear was music. He walked into the room and turned the volume on the stereo down
Rod: I knocked I guess you never heard me
Horace: So what do you want to yell at me again
Rod sat on Horace's seat for his desk
Rod: I want to talk about you and Stacey, the 2 of you have been going out for a while
Horace: And is there anything wrong with that
Rod: Have you and her had sex yet
Horace: No Dad
Rod: Good, but when you do, I want you to promise me that you will show her respect
Horace: Yes
Rod: I want you to treat her in the same way you would want a boy to treat Becca or Lizzie
Horace: Yeah Dad I will
Rod: Good that is all I wanted to know, see you later son.
Mac and Rod left there Children's rooms at the same time and met in the hall way they walked to their own room but noticed the light on as they passed Elizabeth's, Mac opened the door to find her awake sitting at her desk
Mac: Honey what are you doing up
Elizabeth: I couldn't sleep my leg hurts and I can't get comfy
Mac looked at her eyes and could tell she had been crying
Mac: Did you have another nightmare darling
Elizabeth: Yes I just wish I would stop having them
Mac: I know honey would it help if I slept in here tonight
Elizabeth: No, but I think you may be right about seeing a counsellor
Mac: I am glad baby, I will get one organised tomorrow
Elizabeth: I don't want Becca or Horace to know or Uncle Rod
Mac: It will be difficult to keep from Uncle Rod, but we can keep it from the twins, I promise he will be OK with it
Elizabeth: I don't want him to know what happened with Rick
Mac: We will just tell him it is for your nightmares, I promise he won't pressure you into talking about it OK
Elizabeth: OK
Mac: Get some sleep baby
Mac helped her back to her bed and tucked her in, she kissed her on the forehead before leaving the room. She went back to her bedroom and Rod was already there waiting, he slowly undressed his wife while Kissing her body all over, he ran a bath and the couple enjoyed a nice bath together before going to bed and making love.
