"Do it Lucius." Voldemort hissed into his ear.
He looked at the helpless, whimpering, pathetic mudblood that sat in front of him, begging for her life and the lives of her children. Using the sob story, how her eldest was due to start Hogwarts in a few months and had his whole life ahead of him, the other born without magic but still had great potential in the muggle world. He didn't need to give it a second thought. With his master murmuring encouragement into his ear, he hissed the killing curse and all three victims lay dead upon the wooden, blood soaked floor.
It had been a rather long night for Lucius. Having been ordered to murder an eleven year old boy, the boy's mother and eight year old sister because the Ministry had brought in the powers that gave Aurors the right to use the unforgivable curses in order to capture the followers of the Dark Lord. His master had retaliated by ordering half of them to capture as many mudbloods or muggles that they could at one time and to bring them to him. The other half had been ordered to torture and kill the people that had been captured and it was only now that Lucius was beginning to realise that he had lost count of how many people he had been ordered to kill for his master.
Lucius slammed the front door to the manor shut, knowing that Narcissa would be waiting for him somewhere in the manor. He had never wanted Narcissa to have any part of his Death Eater life but ever since her birthday that had changed. She had met the Dark Lord a few times, had witnessed the torture and murder of two muggles and he had no choice but to tell her what he got up to every night when he returned home to her.
"Narcissa?" he called, checking his watch to see that it was nearly one o'clock in the morning.
Light footsteps began to descend the stairs and soon enough, she was standing before him with a welcoming smile; just what he needed after a night that he had tonight. Narcissa took his hands and led him through to the living room, ordering Dobby to pour him a brandy as they took their seats on the sofa. He looked at his wife, dressed in a red satin nightgown with her blonde hair, straight tonight, cascading down her back.
"How was your mission?" Narcissa asked.
"Exhausting, we had to kill a mudblood and her two children." Lucius replied.
Dobby brought over the brandy before leaving the room as quickly as he could, sensing that Lucius was in a foul mood and he didn't want to be hit or kicked.
"How old were the children?"
"Eleven and eight but I had no choice." he stressed, draining the brandy in one large gulp.
Narcissa nodded her head in understanding, having finally come to terms with what he had to do and to which he had no choice about but Lucius knew that although she had come to terms with his duties, it didn't mean that she was any happier about it.
"Can we leave the discussion about my mission there please?" Lucius mumured, placing the brandy glass on the table.
"Of course." she said, smiling brightly and placed herself into his lap.
Lucius raised an eyebrow, "What are you up to?" he asked.
"Happy Birthday Darling." Narcissa whispered.
"What is there to celebrate Narcissa? I have turned twenty-four, there is nothing special about that." he sighed.
Narcissa slapped him playfully on the chest, "Are you sure you have not turned thirty? You are acting a lot older than twenty-four, for starters you are grumpier." she teased.
Lucius smiled slightly, "Very funny sweetheart but my point remains." he said.
"Well actually there is one thing I wanted to discuss with you."
"Oh really?"
Narcissa nodded and took a deep breath, "I want to start trying." she whispered.
"Trying?" Lucius questioned, frowning at her in confusion.
"You know for a wizard who is good at leading a double life, you are awfully stupid sometimes."
Lucius laughed, "Thank you for the nice compliment." he said quietly.
"I meant trying for a baby Lucius."
This surprised him, he hadn't been expecting Narcissa to be ready for another pregnancy just yet; she hadn't wanted to talk about the future of having children and always changed the subject when it was brought up by their friends.
"Are you ready?"
She nodded, "Lucius, it's been nearly four years since we lost Lyra. Although I still feel pain at the loss of our beautiful daughter and the miscarriage earlier this year, I want to carry a baby again. I need very little stress and a lot of support from you if we do conceive." she said quietly.
"You know I desire to be a father but I can wait until you are sure you are ready." Lucius whispered.
Narcissa leaned into him, closing her eyes and claiming his lips with her own. He ran his hands up her thighs, pushing up her nightgown as he felt her lick at the seam of his lips, wanting to gain entrance to his mouth. She began to move her hands slowly from his neck to the buttons on his robes, undoing them slowly as she continued to kiss him in a slow but desirous way, telling him that she was ready and didn't want to prolong it any further.
Wrapping his arms around her waist and not pulling away from her lips, he rose and felt Narcissa lock her legs around his waist as he walked them out of the living room and slowly up the staircase; starting the celebration of his birthday in the most perfect way that he could think of.
A/N: Not my best work so I apologise, the next chapter will be a combination of a few months put together and will involve some sex scenes which I hope that you'll like. Next chapter should be up within the next two weeks.
