Chapter 35
Danielle: (looking at Stacey, in shock) What are you going to do about it?
Stacey: (in tears) I don't know, do I?
Danielle: I'm taking it's Daniel's? Are you going to keep it?
Stacey: Yes,it's Danielle's and, probably not, no.
Danielle: So what are you so afraid off?
Stacey: Gee, I don't know, Danielle!!!! Maybe the fact that I have been pregnant twice and, each time, got an abortion. I love Daniel. I don't want this to come between us, it's just started going right.
Danielle: You have to talk to him.
Stacey: I know. I'll ring him now.
Stacey rings Daniel and tells him to meet her at Ronnie's apartment as soon as possible. 10 minutes later, Daniel comes with Becks. After an hour of t.v. Danielle and Becks go over to the café, while Daniel and Stacey sit down, ready to chat.
Daniel: Babes, what's wrong?
Stacey: Would you ever have another baby?
Daniel: No, why would I? It'd ruin everything. I have a kid, anyway. Why did you ask?
Stacey: It doesn't matter.
Daniel: Babes, I have to go. I'll talk to you later.
He kisses her and leaves. Stacey leaves an note for Ronnie, telling her that her and Danielle are going over to the Vic and Penny is staying at Jay's. Stacey heads over to the Vic. When she gets there, Roxy looks at Stacey, confused.
Roxy: What's up?
Stacey: Nothing. I was trying to talk to Daniel about something, but it doesn't matter. (cries)
Roxy: Are you OK?
Stacey: Yea, I'm just down a bit.
Roxy: Do you want to talk about it?
Stacey: No, it's OK.
Roxy: OK, is Danielle coming over? Do you want to stay here tonight?
Stacey: Yea, I think so. Yea, sure.
2 hours later, Danielle comes over to Vic. She goes into the living room and sees Stacey, asleep on the sofa, hand across her stomach, protectively. Danielle smiles at her best friend and walks out, closing the door behind her. She goes downstairs and Roxy looks over at Danielle and smiles.
Roxy: Hi, honey. You OK?
Danielle: Yea, I'm good. Why is Stacey here?
Roxy: She's staying over. You are too.
10 minutes later, they both head upstairs and see Stacey awake, in the living room.
Danielle: Did you talk to him?
Stacey: Yes, I did.
Roxy: Are you OK, Stace?
Stacey: Roxy, I am fine.
Roxy: You don't look like it, babes.
Stacey: JUST FUCK OFF, ROXY! (hears Amy crying) I'LL GET HER!!!
Stacey goes into Roxy's room and gets Amy back to sleep. Roxy looks at Danielle, who shrugs.
Roxy: What's up with her?
Danielle: I wish I could tell you, but she'd kill me.
Roxy: OK. (Stacey comes back in and Roxy turns to talk to her) What's up?
Stacey: Nothing. I'm fine.
Roxy: Yea, you sound it, and all!!! Do you two want a cup of tea?
Danielle: Yea, sure.
Stacey: Yea, thanks.
Roxy goes into the kitchen and makes them all a cup of tea. When she goes back into the living room, she gives them their tea with some biscuits. They drink it up and Danielle looks at the clock.
Danielle: It's nearly 11pm, Roxy. Where's Sean?
Roxy: Don't know. (sees Stacey's face turning green and watches as Stacey runs to the bathroom to throw up) Is she OK?
Danielle: Yea, just leave her.
Roxy: I know exactly what's wrong with her.
Danielle: So do I!
Stacey goes into the kitchen and gets herself a glass of water. Roxy and Danielle go into the kitchen. Roxy sits on the chair and Danielle joins her. Stacey turns around, looking out the kitchen window.
Roxy: How far along are you, Stace?
Stacey: (turning around) How'd you know?
Roxy: That's the exact same way I found out.
Danielle: Are you getting rid off it? When?
Stacey: I don't know.
Danielle: You need to make your mind up, Stacey!! I'm guessing you're going to get rid off it?
Stacey: I don't fucking know! Do you think I need you lecturing me today, after the day I've had?
Danielle: It's just a bunch of cells, babe, splitting and dividing. Like an alien.
Stacey: Listen, it's not some boil that need lancing off, it's a baby.
She looks up to see Sean, standing in the door.
Sean: I thought you weren't pregnant?
Roxy: Sean, leave her.
Stacey: I'm going out.
She heads over to the club, where Daniel is talking to Jack.
Jack: You haven't seen Bradley about?
Stacey: Yea. He's at the Minute Mart.
Daniel: There he is.
Jack and Stacey turn to see Sean walking up to R&R. As he gets there, Bradley knocks Stacey to the ground.
Sean: Oi!!!! Watch it!!!!! She's pregnant!
