Chapter 36: The fighting begins!

Kazuki watched as the person called Worst began sending bolts of electricity at him, while the one named Saiai came charging at him. He chuckled. Does this girl not know what I can do? He began to calculate the forced needed to hit the girl equivalent to a one hundred kilometer car crash by adjusting the gravity to twenty eight times of that of Earth, or roughly the gravitational pull of the sun, increasing the weight behind his punch considerably.

He threw the punch at Saiai, and was shocked when the punch did nothing to her. She grabbed his arm and attempted to throw him into the ground, but he was too well trained to let him get to the ground. He used her action of grabbing him to his advantage, by adjusting the angels of his momentum to stay standing while bending his arm to shake her off.

"You super aren't going to be easy to beat," Saiai said. "However, I doubt you can do anything against my Nitrogen Armor." Kazuki was about to retort when a bolt of lightning struck near him, barely missing him.

"Hey, stand still you fuck so Misaka can hit you!" Worst yelled. Kazuki observed the two, noting that he was pretty much screwed if he got into battle with Worst. He thus had to take her out so he could focus on Saiai.

Looking around the battlefield, he noted that there wasn't anything he could take advantage of to not get hit by her lighting. Cursing his luck, he charged at Worst. He had an idea, but it was incredibly risky and if Uiharu saw what he was about to do in front of an electromaster, she would give him frost burn for a week for sheer stupidity.

He watched as Worst chuckled, tossing electrical charges at him.

"What the hell are you going to do?" Worst taunted. "One touch by me and I can fry your body into a one way ticket to hell!"

Kazuki ignored the taunts, and focused on his plan. Closing the distance, he began the calculations to create a sesmic event with his ability. He had to calculate his mass, his gravity distortion, the velocity of his punch, the density of the ground, and the resonate frequency of the ground.

He braced himself, and when he was three meters from Worst when he put his plan into action. Distorting the gravity and thus his weight, he threw his punch with as much force as he could muster. Hitting the earth with the force of dropping the empire state building from one thousand feet, he let the energy ripple through the ground, causing a major tremor and sending debris into Worst's face.

"God damn this!" Worst yelled as she tried to shield herself from the earth debris. While distracted, Kazuki close the three meters and chuckled as he saw Worst's face.

"Doesn't matter if you can fry my body," he said. "If I knock your ass into next week, you can't retailiate!" Not bothering to adjust his mass, he threw a solid right hook into Worst's face, crushing her nose, and causing enough pain and brain movement to knock her out. He turned around, and saw Saiai rushing him.

"You super aren't going to get away with that!" Saiai yelled, and she began her relentless assault on Kazuki. He tried to block most of the kicks and punches, but sometimes she would break through and land a shot right under his rib cage and knock a bit of wind out of him. He began to realize that Saiai was worse than Worst; Worst was arrogant and thus easy to exploit, whereas Saiai knew what she was capable of.

He tried to break her momentuem by closing the distance and thus prevent her from being able to efficiently kick and throw punches. But she smiled and began to grapple with him. Kazuki cursed himself as she threw him into the ground.

"You are much better of a fighter than the rest, aren't you?" Kazuki said as he managed to get up and make distance between himself and Saiai. "What technique are you using to keep me off guard?"

"Whatever works, you super fool," Saiai said. "If I don't use a super technique, I don't have a super weakness."

She tried to close in again, but Kazuki, being great with punches, saw a simple opportunity. He increased the gravity of his right hand, thus increasing his weight, and threw a boxing straight punch into Saiai's gut.

Even with her Offensive Armor, she was thrown back by the sheer power of his punch. She glared at him, annoyed with the progress of this fight. He wouldn't stay down, and yet she couldn't be physical damaged. She decided to end this quickly.

Charging at Kazuki, she formed a barrier of nitrogen around her hand and prepares to throw a hail maker to end the fight. Kazuki also charges, adjusting gravity to increase the force behind his punches. As they get to one meter, he stops and begins to link all the energy in his body for one final punch. Saiai throws her punch straight at his face, intent on knocking him out.

Both of their punches make contact, and Saiai grins as her punch clearly cracks his nose and causes him to lose all his vision and is knocked out. But Saiai feels the brunt of his punch, which hits her in the lower ribcage. Without any nitrogen to protect herself, the forces sends her flying, and she crashes into the ground.

"FUCK!" Saiai yelled out as she lands. She tenderly pokes at her ribcage, before noting the intense bruising and the very high likelihood of having several broken ribs. She steals a glance at the collapsed figure of Kazuki, chuckling to herself.

"You're pretty good," Saiai said before passing out.

Aka had been holding out, keeping Hamazura from getting close, hoping either Kazuki or Kakine would come back and help her out. But upon seeing both Kazuki and Saiai knocking one of another out, she pales. How the hell is she going to keep Hamazura from landing a hit on her, with whatever ability he has?

She fires two beams at Hamazura, who narrowly dodges and continues his unrelentling attack. He tries to punch her a couple of times, but Aka made sure to keep moving, using her ability to cut him off, but he keeps up with her.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Aka yells out, a bit terrified. "What is your ability?" She expected Hamazura to snarl, to call her an idiot for not figuring it out, but the last thing she expected was for him to laugh.

"What?!" Hamazura laughed out. "What do you mean?"

"Your esper ability, what do you do?" Aka says, confused by why he would ask. This only causes him to laugh even harder.

"I haven't got one!" Hamazura yelled out. Aka's eyes widen; he didn't have an ability? Then why on earth would he go after her, whose ability mirrors the Meltdowners?

She then sees the glint in his eyes, and knew that he had been dealing with espers long enough to know how to take them down. He ran up to her, prepared to punch her.

"I've faced off against the Meltdowner and won!" Hamazura exclaimed. "Thus you being much lower level than her would mean you would be all the more easier to defeat!"

Hamazura grinned, as he thought that proclamation would force Aka to back down, hell even run away. But he saw that he struck a nerve, and she begins blasting at him without care. Stopping his charge, he began to run off, noting the wrath boiling inside her.

"You what!?" Aka yelled. "You think just because you caught her off guard means you are better than me?! I will fucking show you!"

Aka pulls out her silicon cards, and threw out at least twenty cards. She begins chaining the beams, and sending out refracted beams at Hamazura. She begins to chuckle as Hamazura was forced to dive into a ditch to avoid getting smite by her attack.

"Saten was it?" Hamazura yelled out. "Mind lending a hand?" Saten who was busy staying out of the way nodded.

"What do you need me to do?" Saten asked as she ran up to him, making sure not to get hit by one of Aka's plasma beams.

"I need you to either knock her out or to distract her!" Hamazura yelled out as a beam prevents the two from getting to each other. "She is nasty, making use of silicon cards to increase the output of damage from her ability."

Saten glances up, and sees Aka preparing another salvo by throwing up a bunch of her cards.

"Fuck no you don't!" Saten yelled out, and she quickly manipulates the wind to creating a wind funnel to scoop up all of the silicon cards. However, at that moment, Aka fired a beam, and with Saten's tornado, managed to hit all of her silicon cards multiple times with each beam, sending out indiscriminate plasma beams out.

Hamazura, not knowing better, poke up from the ditch to receive a blow from one of the narrow plasma beams in the shoulder. He falls down in the ditch, swearing at the pain. He knew he was pretty much out of the fight, his right arm going limp, and he couldn't get out of the ditch fast enough to avoid any blast. He just had to rely on Saten being able to delay Aka.

Saten glared as her ability had unintentional back fired. She hoped that by spriling the silicon cards she could prevent Aka from hitting them, but by the odds and the speed of the tornado she made Aka was still able to hit them, albeit with a ton of luck and with little control over them.

"A wind esper eh?" Aka said, looking at Saten. "I must say, that is pretty impressive, I am guessing you are Level 3 from that amount of control you displayed. But alas, I am a Level 4 Meltdowner, so regardless of whatever wind you throw at me, I can simply punch through it."

Aka fired off three plasma beams at Saten, who propelled herself into the air to avoid the beams. She cursed herself as she began rapid wind manipulation to avoid getting hit, and she could see the other side of the facility, where there was a ton of fire and she could make out Uiharu fighting Misaka, Kuroko, and Aki.

So they were up to something, Saten mentally sighed. Well I'll be damned if I keep this girl holding me up and stopping this Kakine bastard.

Saten however had to keep moving, to reduce the effectiveness of Aka's ability. While it was precise, the more movement and the farther away a target was, the less and less effective it became. Saten saw Aka laughing at her.

"Are you going to fly away from me?" Aka yelled out. "Just how long before you tire?"

"Long enough to kick your ass!" Saten yelled, and she decided to dive to the ground, forcing Aka to overshoot. This bought her time to think of a new plan of attack. She could rely on the sheer force of her wind to push Aka aside, and she couldn't simply create a wind funnel around her as the dust would blind her and allow Aka to pump her full of plasma.

She paused; dust and a wind funnel? Saten felt something clicked, but what; she couldn't connect them. She was glaring at Aka when the idea came threw.

Using dust to create fricition in a circular pattern, and creating areas of positive and negative charges, she could in theory create a lightning storm with her ability. It wasn't unfounded; thunderstorms usually proceeded tornados, as the tornado provided plenty of friction to conduct electrical currents. Saten chuckled before looking at Aka when her feet touched the ground.

"Oh Aka, quick question," Saten began. "What happens if your ability is intercepted by electricity?"

"Huh?" Aka asked, pausing to consider what Saten said, giving Saten all the time she needed. She quickly began to form a wind funnel around Aka, and began to quickly accumulate as much dust as possible in her storm.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Aka yelled. "I can't see!" Saten chuckled again.

"You will be fine, just stay in the eye and I promise, you won't be thrown about." She began to feel her power swelling, and she determined the wind speed of her funnel was going around four hundred kilometers an hour, an F-4 tornado on the fujita scale. She begins to laugh; she had become a Level 4! She continued the funnel, and began to see the sparks forming along the funnel.

"Hey, mini-meltdowner!" Saten yelled out. "Wondering what happens when all the static electricity built up discharges?" She heard Aka panicking.

"Please stop, I surrender!" Aka yelled out. But Saten wasn't going to let her get away, not when her friend Uiharu was on the line.

"Naw, I am a bit curious to find out what happens!" Saten announced, and she quickly forced all the dust debris to begin colliding with one another at around Aka's height, thus providing the optimal site for a discharge. She then saw several bolts of lightning strike Aka, causing the young girl to scream in pain.

Saten immediately felt her stomach flop, and she stopped controlling the funnel, and saw the dust fall down. She saw the girl had collapsed, and Saten felt her body violently shaking. She collapsed on her knees and began to vomit, sicken by what she had done. She didn't know if she had killed the girl, but the actions she took was despicable.

At this point, Hamazura got out of the ditch and ran over to Saten.

"Saten, you okay?" Hamazura asked, while clutching the plasma wound. Saten shook her head, pointing feebly at Aka. Hamazura saw the look of guilt on Saten's face, and he knew what she was concerned about.

He ran over and knelt down to Aka. He put his finger on her neck, checking for a pulse. After taking a second to find the vein, he felt a steady pulse. He ran back over to Saten.

"She's fine," Hamazura said. "C'mon, let's get Saiai and Worst out of here, neither one of us should keep fighting."

"But my friend," Saten mumbled. "I can't just abandon her.."

"You are in no shape to fight!" Hamazura scolded Saten. "You need to sit this one out and recover, like we need to!" He picked Saten up, whose knees were weak and wobbly. He carried her over to the van, and set her down.

"You did enough by taking that meltdowner down," Hamazura said, patting Saten's head. "Just rest up now while I get Saiai and Worst now."

Saten lied down in the van, looking at the sky, feeling so little in the grand scheme of things. She closed her eyes, sickened by her actions and by how she was feeling at the moment, and she wouldn't awake until something would force her awake.

Uiharu glared at Misaka, who kept sending shocks at her.

"Would you fucking quit!?" Uiharu yelled. "We both know that if I wanted to, I could end you and all of your lives!" Misaka glared at her.

"Since when did you become so casual about killing?!" Misaka questioned, sending another shock at Uiharu, who easily dodged it. "You used to be full of life, optimistic, and care-free, but now you are a crazy bitch!"

"Same here!" Kuroko yelled, teleporting some of her spikes to tie Uiharu down, only for them to be incinerated by her thermal shield. "Why are you being extreme here, we didn't stop caring about you, in fact it was the opposite! We became more concerned for your mental health, that is why we slowed down the training with you!"

"Bullshit!" Uiharu yelled, as she formed another stream of molten lava where Misaka was standing, before Kuroko teleported her to safety. "You only wanted me to remain weak and fragile, to be exploitable for your own ends!"

Uiharu saw Aki, who was busy trying to help Takeru and her cousin take on Katsu. She glared at her before igniting the air around Aki, but Aki manages to cool it down just enough for Uiharu not to be able to ignite the oxygen.

"Damn you Kihara!" Uiharu yelled. "What the fuck were you planning when you saved me all those months ago?! Did you think I would make a good trophy, but when I began to show I wasn't so easily controlled you decided to stop all progress to limit me?!"

"That wasn't it!" Aki yelled, running away from the gunfire Katsu's Hound Dogs were laying down. "You became too unstable for your own good! Listen to how you are talking to us now!"

Uiharu felt her anger surging, and she decided to let loose with her ability. Creating a black hole high above the three girls, Uiharu began to dump energy into the black hole, to where it create a accretion disk and she began to look at Aki.

"You realize what is about to happen, don't you?" Uiharu asked. "This is the true expression of power! You have nothing on me, so why don't you all leave?!"

Misaka growled, and she began to build up all of her electrical charge; she sure as hell wasn't going to allow Uiharu to kill them to make a statement! She could see Uiharu chuckle at the electrical field forming around her.

"What are you thinking Misaka?" Uiharu asked. "Don't you realize that any and all electricity you make can and will be affected by my black hole? So why do you try and resist my will?"

"Because I won't let you kill us just to empower your ego!" Misaka yelled, and she felt a darkness surround Uiharu. She wondered what caused Uiharu to pause. She looked up and saw the black hole had gone, but when she looked down, Uiharu was begin to walk to her, giggling.

"You seriously thought I was going to kill you?" Uiharu asked, tilting her head. "Didn't you realize that I could've killed you at any moment, that I was merely holding back? No, I could've just created a black hole beneath your feet and killed you, or I could've frozen your blood and let you die that way, but I was holding back."

Misaka felt Uiharu was losing it, she only seen this reaction one time before, when Accelerator had begun to create plasma by controlling the wind vectors. Misaka began to send bolts of lightning at Uiharu, only for them to dissipate before making contact.

"Want to know something peculiar with electricity?" Uiharu began, as she got closer. "It doesn't like the extreme cold of absolute zero, all the atoms are completely still and thus unable to attract to one another to make the required chain reaction to discharge. This means that I can negate you attack!"

Uiharu then froze all the air around Misaka, effectively ending her electrical build-up. Misaka panicked, unable to think of a way to affect Uiharu that Uiharu couldn't simply ignore. But she saw Uiharu turn to Kuroko, who kept trying to pin Uiharu down with her spikes.

"Oh Kuroko," Uiharu began. "I wonder, how do the iron lungs work under extreme cold?" Misaka could only imagine the pain Kuroko was in when she knew Uiharu affected the interior air in Kuroko's iron lungs.

Kuroko fell down, screaming in pain, the cold rendering the machine's ability next to nothing. She curled up, the pain so intense and the cold so powerful.

"Don't worry Kuroko," Uiharu said. "The cold will dissipate, but this is to keep you down." She turned to Aki, who was standing still.

"You know how you said I was unstable right? Well it isn't entirely unfounded, I did end up killing a drugged up girl when I was sent to kill several members of Skill-Out. But I suppose you didn't know that, right? But who cares, you are a Kihara, you should be pleased that I became a Level 5 regardless of the cost of life, so why must you lie?!"

At this point, something that neither Uiharu nor Aki had noticed came into play. Takeru had managed, with Motoharu's help, taken out the last remaining member of Hound Dog, save for Katsu.

"Oi, you shouldn't rely on those who have nothing to lose," Motoharu smirked, looking at Katsu. Katsu chuckled.

"Well, it doesn't matter, if you think you can rival two level fives and three level fours, then good luck," Katsu smirked. He reloaded his Tar-21 and pulled out a vial. "But as it sits, you are all about to die!"

He threw the vial at Uiharu, taking into account her ability. He needed the vial to shatter, to have its content's exposed to the heat. Uiharu's almost natural thermal barrier kicked in, and raised in heat rapidly, but not fast enough to prevent the contents form reacting to the heat.

Uiharu watched in horror as the contents turned into a dense yellow cloud. Due to her rapidly changing the heat of the air around her, this caused a massive swelling of the cloud, engulfing her, Misaka, Aki, Kuroko, and Takeru. But Motoharu quickly jumped out of the cloud's way.

"What are you trying to do, kill your level 5?" Motoharu asked. Katsu laughed.

"Nope, this lovely cloud is a derivative of Mustard gas, but instead of just blistering the lungs, this consumes the oxygen in the environment, and causes asphyxiation in those caught up in the cloud!"

"WHAT?!" yelled Uiharu, but she could feel the air leaving her lungs the more she tried to breathe. "You intend to kill me?!"

"As I said, no," Katsu remarked. "Rather, this will knock you out, along with the others, so I can kill the others without a fight. Should've been merciful to them."

Uiharu felt consumed by her rage, and she quickly formed a black hole right next to Katsu's head. He didn't even get a chance to scream out, to demand obedience, as Uiharu's black hole tore him apart, making him into a chain of atoms flying to the singularity.

The black hole also began to consume the gas cloud, mostly around her, but eventually dragging in the rest of the cloud. She stopped the black hole as it finishes the rest of the cloud, before collapsing on the ground. She looks over to Misaka, Kuroko, and Aki, who look at her with a bit of both relief and terror.

"Thank you," Aki gasped out, the gas cloud still having an adverse effect to her breathing. Uiharu waves it off.

"Didn't do it for you, did it for myself," Uiharu muttered, her brain clouded by the lack of oxygen. "He would've killed me as a result."

She rolled over to her side, and looked at the building, when she heard the shattering of glass and saw a white lump of a body falling next to her. Her eye's widen, it looked an awful like…

"U-u-uiharu," muttered Kakine, who was lying on the ground, and Uiharu watched as his dark matter began to give way to some unknown object.

"Kakine?" Uiharu asked, shocked to see him turning to dust for the lack of a better word. "What happened?" He looked at her before he resumed the shape that Accelerator had left him in before he had managed to repair his body.

He was left with a head, and most of his core body, but his arms, legs and a good portion of his chest were gone. He coughed up blood before he answered Uiharu.

"I got beaten by some spiky black hair kid," Kakine chocked out. "He can somehow stop my Dark Matter. Please, get me help."

Uiharu looked at Kakine, unable to accept that here was the person who could rival her and yet took pity on her, beaten and near death. She looked up at the building to where she had seen Kakine fall out of, only to see an all to familiar face standing there.

You bastard, you thought it would be alright to take my one source of salvation and send him to hell?!, Uiharu thought. She began to get up, despite the lack of oxygen, and Misaka's pleas for mercy were ignored, a side note in her head.

She glared at the hole, before setting off her ability to propel her into the building.

"TOUMA!" Uiharu yelled, with the intent of sending the black haired idiot straights to the pits of hell.

Author's Note: Ouch, got three of the fights down. Next chapter will be a prelude to Kakine getting his first taste of the Imagine Breaker and we get an explanation as to why he is left in his ruined state.

Also, we will be seeing the Kakine vs Accel/mugino/later Touma fight, and Yuriko will be there to spice things up. Also the fight between Fukiyose and Touma will be interesting to see how it goes down.

Sorry if this chapter isn't as great, the fight scenes were against odd pairings, and I needed to get the lesser fights out of the way to get to the major fights.

But I am going to be getting a chapter out every week or so, so be on the lookout for new chapters.

As always folks, please follow, favorite, and review!
