Normal POV (Back to the present)
It was too late...far too late...the door slammed behind them, shutting out the only source of light. Blitz just disappeared, faded into the shadows, closing his eyes with sadness...unable to watch the horror that was appearing.
The figure leapt from wall to wall, entering the entrance way, crouching low to the ground as it landed to the floor. The three huddled together as they could feel this creature's cold huff on their ankles, even Fang was shivering in Buttercup's grip.
"You dare enter my home." It growled, it was a deep demonic voice. As their eyes were adjusted to the darkness, they could see a slight figure that was hunching on the floor darting from side to side, "Trespassers."
Buttercup tried to act brave, "It was getting dark out...we just need shelter-" She jumped back as the creature appeared right beside her, falling back her hood fall off her head. A figure standing behind a pillar, looked around...dark forest green eyes flashed as it saw the necklace that shined in the moonlight.
"Buttercup?"
"Shelter huh? You have come to the wrong place," The voice continued, encircling them in the darkness, a half moon shined through the windows, finally bringing some some light to the darkened room, "You will leave, now." The figure did its best to dodge the moon light.
"We can't see out there! THERE'S SPECT-"
The figure roared with fierceness, its roar echoed throughout the room, causing the girls to cover their ears.
"No excuses, you will leave!" The door opened by itself.
"We can't!" Brianna cried out, she sounded tough, unnerve but on the inside her body was quivering like jelly, "There are specters...Lost Souls out there, it'll be foolish to go back out there. Please...we could stay in the doorway. We're cold...and hurt...please."
Her pleads caused it to pause, it groaned as this seemed...all to familiar...it seemed almost to softened until...
Buttercup suddenly cried out in pain and feel to her knees, she touched her shadow...where the scar started...
"What's wrong? Buttercup?"
It's ears pricked up to that name and its eyes glanced at Buttercup...In an instant, its nose flared up...something about that face...doesn't want to remember. It was heaving through its nose heavily with a growl escaping with each inhale until it turned into a full on snarl.
"GGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT OOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTT!" It howled at the top of its lungs, the castle seemed to reacted to its howl, the floor started to move and shake, knocking the girls over.
"NO!" Buttercup cried out at Fang jumped out of the pile and towards the creature. Fang hissed and arched his back, ready to defend his owner, spatting fire sparks at it. Even with the figure snarling over it, Fang didn't back off, flapping his wings and hissing again.
"Don't you dare!" Buttercup stomped her foot hard enough for the marble floor to shake, knocking the creature off balance. Gang jumped back into her arms, growling at the creature.
"You...will...leave."
"What's the doddle ...what?!" A voice was echoing down a hallway and coming out into the entrance way, the moon silvery light beamed onto her to reveal that it was...
"BELLE! BELLE!" Blossom cried out, forgetting all about the creature, she got up to her feet and ran up towards her...but in a flash...it blocked her. Blossom stood back, the figure was still dark but she could at least see its outline and worse of all...its teeth. It was long and large, possibly as large as a bear with a hump on its back (like a hyena) but it seemed slender as a wolf; but it was the teeth that made Blossom's skin cold, such long pure white teeth that the creature was baring at her, like sharp long needles. Its eyes glowing bright yellow, as it took a step forward, she fell back.
"No wait...waitie wait," Belle tried to pull at its arm, but it seemed firm and heavy, she just fell over, but she got back to her feet and tried to rush towards the girls, but the figure snapped and blocked her path.
"You...will...leave...at once." The creature hissed...it looked ready to pounce...(I don't own this song, it's a Miyazaki movie song, from the Movie Princess Mononoke, a classic)
"In the moonlight I felt your heart
quiver like a bow string's pulse
in the moon's pale light
Brianna started singing, the creature seemed to have calm down...hypnotized by the voice.
Blossom tip toed behind the creature and pulling Belle up. At first, Belle shook her head, but She just grabbed her arm and pulled her around the monster...its ears tilted back...and its legs shifted back, as if it tried to move.
You looked at me
Nobody knows your heart
when the sun has gone I see you
Brianna sing louder, her voice hypnotizing the creature but the harder she tried to sing, the harder the creature tried to resist.
Beautiful and haunting but cold
like the blade of a knife so sharp so sweet
nobody knows your heart
Just as Blossom was helping Buttercup help, Brianna just suddenly stopped...coughing, but that was enough...with a loud roar, the creature's rage erupted...the building started to bend and twist, the door slammed shut a
"YOU PROMISED!" It roared, charging at them. Buttercup stood up and uppercut the creature, causing It to fly off into the wall. She winced, grabbing Fang, she kicked the door opened and but the pain was just too much, she just collapsed on the floor
"BELLE! THIS IS NO TIME TO PLAY AROUND! C'MON!" Blossom was trying to pull Belle out the door but she wouldn't move.
"I can't." Even though her words were soft, it made everything stand to a halt. The castle stopped moving, the creature stopped and the girls seemed stunned.
"What?! Belle, this is no time for jokes-"
"I promised, Cousin Blossy."
"Enough jokes, that thing kidnapped you-"
"No Yokies here." Belle shook her head, she looked down with a half smile, "I traded my freedom for Mags, switchy ditchy." She tried to sound like her old self but there was just no energy in it. The creature swiped at Blossom, causing her to jump back and stood in front of Belle, as if protecting her.
Brianna seemed stumped, "What do you mean for Mags?"
"Mags was trapped here...so I came...to free her." Belle chuckled, but Brianna gasped, still stunned.
"You...you trapped my Grandma? You're the reason why she's so sick?" Brianna's face turned bright red, furious with rage, she looked like she was about to charge at him but Blossom held her back, "SHE'S SICK BECAUSE OF YOU! SHE CRIES IN HORROR AND BAFFLES BECAUSE OF YOU!"
"Bree Bree, don't be upset, your cheeks blow up like a puffer."
Brianna pushed Blossom back and crossed her arms, she took a few deep breaths and turned around, "Fine then, for the debt...I'll stay...that's my Maggie, you can let Belle go."
"No...you're all Mags has-"
"It's a debt from my Grandma, it's my burden...you shouldn't have taken it upon yourself, Maggie would have understood."
The creature snarled, looping around Belle, causing her to back up as it stood up on its hind legs, the creature stood at least seven feet tall. "No deal."
"Wha?" Brianna seemed shocked, but she was determined, "You let Belle go-"
"You can't hold my Cousin prisoner, this isn't fair." Blossom cried out, "We're all the family she has left. It's just not the same without Belle. Her liveliness brings sunshine to our home, we couldn't even go through this forest without her and I won't leave with out...You can't hold you! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT?!"
"Cousin Blossy, I'm so proud-"
"I can hold whoever I want...in my castle." It snarled.
"Castle?" The three looked shocked...but Buttercup's shock was replaced by a gulp.
"Castle? This can't be the castle." Buttercup looked around, but the snarling of the monster caused her to focus.
"That is correct, you stand before royalty. I am the Master, the Prince of this Castle. Plus, she gave up her freedom willingly. She is mine...now get out and be grateful that I did not chose to lock you up for the trouble you have caused!"
"No...we can't leave until her...and we won't." Buttercup snapped as the figure stood over her.
The figure growled but its ears pricked back as a voice spoke to it.
"Don't be like that, My Liege. Can't you see how miserable your prisoner is?" The voice asked, Buttercup cried out louder as the scar was suddenly pulsing.
The figure looked down and could indeed see that Belle wasn't smiling. In fact she looked ready to cry, her bottom lip was even quivering."
"You Can't be selfish...think of others...such as you do with the Kingdom. Impress her." The voice advised.
"Impress her?" He mumbled underneath his breath.
The figure's eyes glanced down at her again...the way she smiled in the kitchen...it wanted to see that wonderful smile again...its eyes changed back to a light purple.
"I...I could use more entertainment...my jester bores me...a nice song and music would be nice." It sounded a bit calmer, but it still shook the others, even Belle looked up at it, "And...a herbalist...one for my ailing staff, "It looked down at Blossom, who just looked confused but then it stared at Buttercup.
"C'mon." The voice pushed it.
"I could really... really use a Gardener."
There was a long pause...but it was broken by Brianna's voice.
"Fine then, for my Maggie's debt." Brianna volunteered.
"Now wait a minute! I have a mother...and a little sister, I can't just stay-Well...they'll have to know...Ah...Your highness."
"A Letter shall be sent tonight...as for you..."The figure's eyes shines brightly at Buttercup who had her arms wrapped around Fang.
"Why don't you show us what you really look like?" Buttercup snapped, glaring up at this figure.
There was a long silence, the figure clenched its claws but one heavy footstep into the moon light.
A hairy claw...torn brown trousers on its hind legs...
The girls gasped as its face came into view...a menacing face heightened by the moon's silver rays...
Well I guess I can stop there...I hope you liked it. More on the Prince's appearance soon.
