(07x19 Guilty Pleasure)

Special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs really caught her interest, he already had when they first met four months earlier. Though he was not what she considered to be her usual type, he had her with his bright blue eyes and the almost irresistible smirk he put on sometimes. And men with an enigmatic air attracted her interest, which he brought to perfection with his stony silence and mostly opaque expression. Though he was mostly unreadable, she liked the bits and pieces she could unravel from his personality. Special agent Gibbs was highly loyal to his team and extremely dedicated to his work. Not too many other agents would have given her the chance to help them that way. Few agents had the guts to trust her like he had.

Holly glanced one last time into the rearview mirror to check her make-up, before she snatched the expensive bottle of red wine from the passenger's seat and got out of the car. It was already dark, though it was only seven-thirty. Sometimes it was really useful to have as many connections as she had due to her job. It wasn't exactly easy to get his address, but in the end she succeeded, like she always did, and now she was briskly walking towards his house. The windows on the ground level were illuminated and she could not help, but look in before she passed.

She gasped slightly, when she could see the mysterious, tough and mostly gruff man standing near the table, watching a maybe four-year-old boy carefully grabbing dirty dishes to bring them into the kitchen. He looked relaxed and happy, not quite as stern or sober as he looked at work. It slowly dawned to the blonde woman that she must look like some freaky stalker, but she had to remain in her precarious position for a few more moments to see what would happen next. The next thing she saw was a rather beautiful brunette woman walking in with a small dark-haired baby perched on her hip. She smiled at Jethro and handed him the baby, before telling him something. The grey-haired man just nodded and returned her smile, before he gave her a quick kiss and left the room.

Holly flinched away from the window, when the brunette turned into the general direction of the window, before turning towards the table again. Now she knew that he had meant every word he said, when he told her that it just seemed like she knew a few things about him. Surely he had broken his promise, but right now she could not really be mad at him. Seeing him that way, so genuinely happy and at ease, just showed her what she was definitely lacking in her life, something no money in the world could buy. A loving family to come home to in the evening.
