JANE'S POV

We are not far from landing back into Italy to refuel the jet. Both me and Maura have been either occupied with calls to Frost and Korsak, or filling Lena in as much as we can. I hang up the phone to Frost and stand up, taking hold of Maura's hand, I place a gentle kiss on her knuckles before indicating that I'm going to cockpit to speak to Lena. Maura smiles softly before placing her hand over the speaker on the phone, "tell Becca to come out and sit with me for a while until you have finished talking to Lena."

I nod at Maura before walking towards the cockpit and knocking on the small door. Once I hear Becca telling me I can go in, I do. The sight in front of me shocks me a little bit. I wasn't expecting to see Lena sat next to the door with her head in her hands, crying slightly. "Any chance you can put this bird on autopilot and give us a few minutes?" I ask Becca.

"Sure thing. You'll have about 45 minutes before we have to take it off and land in Italy." Becca replies.

"We won't take that long I don't think. Thanks though." I reply, gently smiling at Becca.

As Becca starts to walk away she stops just in front of Lena and places her hand on her shoulder, she squeezes gently before she walks out of the cockpit heading towards Maura.

Lena slowly looks up at me, softly wiping her tears away. "You do know you can speak to me in front of Becca. She's not too much of a bitch just lately."

I can't help but laugh at what she says. "It's not that, I was just wondering if you have any more idea's on how to get your sister to talk?"

I watch as Lena takes a deep breath and tries to steady herself for what she is about to say next. "Well where do I start. She's a cocky little mare. Feisty but since she started dating Luke she's more closed off and it's like she won't trust the people she used to. She used to come to me Jane, whenever anything was wrong, she would always run to me. I should've seen it, but I just thought he wouldn't be around for long and she'd run back to me again." Lena tells me now unable to stop her tears. "I should've been there for her."

I pull Lena towards me to try my best to comfort her, through the still open cockpit door I see Becca looking straight at us with a sad smile on her face. I gently wave my hand for Becca to come to us, once she does, I stand back as I watch Lena fall into Becca's arms. I place my hand on Lena shoulder and give it a gently squeeze before I go back to Maura.

"Jane, please help my sister." I stop dead in my tracks as I hear the concern and worry in Lena's voice.

Becca pulls herself from Lena and quickly glances at Jane and Maura, she notices they are deep in conversation with each other so as quietly as she can she closes the cockpit door and slowly gets Lena to sit down. "She will be okay Lena." Becca says gently. "Jane is an amazing person she will do all she can to help you. You have to be strong."

"I know she will be okay I just don't know how to get her to talk, I used to know her so well. This woman who has replaced her, I don't know her. I just want my sister to be who she used to be." Lena tells Becca. She won't show Becca how she feels but she knows if Becca wasn't here she wouldn't be able to go through this.

"Exactly," Becca says. "You know her better than anyone, just tell Jane something that Mia loves and I'm sure Jane will be able to take it from there." They stop talking as someone pushes down on the door handle.

Maura softly opens the cockpit door. "I just wanted to check on you both. How are you doing Lena?"

"I'm okay I guess. Can you tell Jane that Mia loves dogs. She will quite happily talk about them for hours. It might just be what will get her to talk if Jane can stand the conversation long enough. It's not a lot but I think she might open up if she feels comfortable and safe enough to do so."

Maura, Lena and Becca all stop talking as they hear Jane shout. "I'll get straight on it. I'll call Frost now and we'll arrange to speak to Mia while on the flight back to Boston."

After they quickly refuelled in Italy they were soon back in the jet and in the air.

JANE'S POV

I dial headquarters and punch in Frost's extension code. After the third ring he answers with, "Bout time Rizzoli."

"Lets get this over and done with partner, put her on." I stay quiet until I hear a young females voice asking for Lena.

"This is detective Jane Rizzoli, Barry Frost's partner who I believe is sat right in front of you. I have Lena here with me if you want to talk to her, which you can do after you have told me what is going on and how you got yourself involved in this mess." I wait for a few minutes and after getting frustrated with hearing the sound of breathing. I quickly sigh. "So Mia this is how it is going to go. You have two choices. We can either spend the rest of my flight in silence or we can make this easy and you can tell me the truth and the story. In fact, I will start for you."

"I'm taking a wild guess and I'm going to say that you met Luke and he quickly put on the charm and you fell for him just as quickly. You thought he was a decent guy, treated you like a princess, did everything to make you believe he was the one. And then when he had you where he wanted things changed drastically." Jane grabs her glass of water and takes a sip before continuing. "The truth is he played you and before you had a chance to run for the hills you were caught up in it. The thing is we know you are not to blame for this but you not talking to us doesn't leave us much option but to treat you like a criminal. Is that what you want Mia?. Do you want to be like these guys?. You have a choice people trying to give you a way out of this mess. A sister who loves you more than words can explain. So I am asking you again, talk to me if not for you do it for Lena."

The phone goes silent for a few minutes before you hear the sounds of Mia crying. "Okay." She say through the sobs. You then hear the sound of someone moving. "You are right about most of it. I met Luke at a bar and after a few weeks I saw him having what looked like an argument with a man. When I went to confront him I saw the package in Luke's left jacket pocket that was the day I found out he was dealing. A few weeks later he came and told me he was in serious problems and begged me to do this one deal. He promised me it was only going to be one deal but after the first time he'd make me do it on a regular basis. I quickly learnt that no wasn't an option as he would beat me." Mia takes a deep breath as though she was living the nightmare again. "I don't know who he was working for, and I never saw any faces, except for that one night that I saw the argument with the guy he called Leo. That's the truth Detective."

Jane turns to face Lena quickly while covering the phone with her hand. "She's told me Lena."

Lena smiles a big smile before mouthing the words, thank you back at Jane. She lets put the breath she didn't know she was holding as she hears Jane say, "I believe you Mia, I really do."
