"Right, I'm gonna call Natasha," Coulson told Christie, who was standing next to him, flicking through a floating information hologram on Loki.

"You do that," Christie muttered distractedly. "I'm sure she'll be happy to receive the news." Coulson dialled her number and took a sharp breath in before speaking. As he threatened whoever had Natasha, Christie read the information that appeared in front of her. She swallowed her tears as she remembered the times she had with Loki. Faintly in the background she heard Coulson arguing with Natasha over the phone. She rolled her eyes and mouthed at Coulson 'Tell her Barton's been compromised.'

"Natasha... Barton's been compromised," Coulson said seriously. Christie heard silence and then Natasha say 'let me put you on hold.' She nodded to herself.

"Told ya," she said as Coulson patiently waited for Romanoff's return.

"Yeah yeah whatever," Coulson muttered. "You need to go and pick up Natasha now by the way." Christie groaned and ran her hand through her shoulder length white hair.

"Why me?"

"Christie just do it. You two might even sort out your issues."

"Unlikely," Christie grumbled.

Christie pulled up her sleek black car outside the giant block that Natasha was meant to be coming out of. She didn't really want to see Natasha again, since they were anything but friends. Natasha ran out an shoved herself into the car. When she saw Christie in the drivers seat she rolled her eyes. "Great," she sighed, closing the door behind her.

"Just get your bloody seatbelt on," Christie grumbled, starting up the engine again. Natasha strapped herself in and leant her head back on the black leather seat.

"So where have you been?" she asked quietly.

"Away," Christie said shortly.

"Whereabouts?"

"Somewhere in the universe."

"Very funny," Natasha said dryly.

"It wasn't a joke," Christie muttered, turning a corner as they drove to the airport. "I was in Asgard."

"Where's that?" Natasha frowned, beginning to think that Christie was loosing the plot now.

"Never mind," Christie yawned, pulling up to the airport. "What have you been doing?"

"Working with Stark. Never again," Natasha blinked her pretty long eyelashes in disgust.

"I don't think you have a choice. Fury's bringing in the Avenger's initiative," Christie informed her.

"Are we really in that much of a war?" Natasha asked quickly taking her seatbelt off.

"Yeah, we are. Where are we off to by the way? Coulson seems to forget to tell me these things."

"India. We're picking up a certain someone," Natasha told her, swinging out of the car.

"That someone being who exactly?" Christie asked, getting out as well.

"Banner."
