Hope's Peak Academy - Headmaster's Office

Hope's Peak Academy, a well known academy where only the talented, the truly unmatched in the entire world go to hone their talents even further. The school's main student body is comprised by "Ultimates" [...or "Super High School Levels" but that depends on where you're coming from...anyway] these teenagers excel in their talents...though some talents happen to be much more...unique... than others, for example The 'Ultimate Little Sister', 'Ultimate Secret Agent' 'Ultimate Clairvoyant' and so on and so forth...

In this office we find the illustrious Headmaster of this academy, Jin Kirigiri who sat at his desk fuming while reading a surprisingly sparse dossier, Jin was a man of adult age, with short, dark purple hair and sharp eyes, wearing a black suit...this man had been reading the file of a prospective student one that has managed to elude the talent scouts of his school in just about every way possible...and a few ways that would've been deemed impossible as well.

The Ultimate Trickster...Kenichi Aoki, all signs pointed that recruiting him to the school would be nigh impossible, for some reason...he'd been avoiding Hope's Peak like the plague...Jin had to ask himself, why would he avoid this school? Why was there so little information on the boy? And how in the world did he always stay one step ahead of his scouts?! The same scouts that managed to recruit Yuto Kamishiro, another boy who could remain virtually unnoticed and invisible by just about everyone! If Jin Kirigiri didn't know any better, he could swear that his talent for avoiding capture and detection bordered on the supernatural,...it almost felt like...cheating!

"...*sigh~*..." Jin sighed tired, such a waste for such a talent that could bring and make the hope of the future shine ever so brighter was perpetually escaping the Hope's Peak grasps. Jin just closed the folder and dropped on his chair as he was about to pour himself a cup of tea, when a knock to his door came

*knock* *knock*

Jin blinked, and directed his gaze to the door. "It's open..." The Headmaster said.

The door opened, revealing a severely injured scout! The other man was covered head to toe with bruises, burn marks, cuts and what looked suspiciously like rubber bullet wounds.

Jin looked aghast. "Good Heavens, man! W-what happened to you?!" Jin asked, in shock, it looked like the scout had gone through a battlefield! Jin helped the man inside and had him sit in one of the couches of his office. "I'll call the Infirmary immediately!" Jin said as he was about to pick up his cell phone, but the scout raised his hand to stop him.

"I-I'm okay...it looks way worse than it is...but anyway..." The scout said, unsteadily. "W-we found Aoki..." The scout managed to say.

"!?" Jin opened his eyes wide. "...And?!"

"H-he declined..." The scout said.

Jin would've been surprised, but frankly he had seen this coming, he sat down on the opposite couch with a sigh. "...*sigh*...tell me what happened." Jin asked.

"W-we have...seriously underestimated him!" The scout started. "He has EARNED the "Ultimate Trickster" title!"

Jin listened with attention. "Please explain." He asked in a two words.

The scout leaned back in the seat, as if to slouch on the large sofa. "First off...that bike...it's a white sports bike, sleek and fast...oh it's a thing of beauty but that's not the amazing bit: the amazing bit is it can ride up walls!" The scout said excited.

Jin blinked upon hearing that. "R-ride up walls? Do you mean...it sticks to walls or-?"

"No no, it levels onto the wall and the bike floats along it! It can go back to normal once it sets on the ground, but I've seen that thing go up even on the ceilings of tunnels! I-I even managed to record a video of the bike in action!" The scout produced his own smartphone and played a video which indeed showed a ponytailed youth, riding a white motorcycle along the walls and ceiling of a tunnel at high speed.

Jin made a mental note of that. As far as he knew, that sort of technology was non existent in the entire planet. "I'll need a copy of that video...what else?"

"On the few instances we've pursued him on foot, he always managed to give us the slip. His speed is astonishing...might be on par to that of Ogami!...but the real problem are all his devices and gadgets! If he's not hiding inside cardboard boxes or empty canisters..."

"Cardboard boxes?" Jin asked, honestly confused

"I'm as confused as you are, Principal... but we've been victim of motion detection mines, beam katanas, or...hell, everything inside that school of his!" The scout shuddered visibly at the thought of his last visit to Tomobiki High. "It's downright insane!"

Jin listened with interest. "Perhaps there are more candidates in this school of his? That could explain the traps..."

The scout shook his head. "I don't think so...all those traps felt like the handiwork of that boy..."

Jin questioned further. "How do you figure?"

The scout leveled an annoyed glare. "It felt like he was making fun of us the entire time!" The scout said annoyed.

Jin sweat-dropped, as expected of the Ultimate Trickster. "...Ah! I do recall another candidate currently in Tomobiki as well..." Jin stood up and made a grab for a dossier in his desk, finally finding the one he was looking for. He produced one that read "Ultimate Rival"

"Shou Inoue..."the Ultimate Rival"...a seemingly normal fellow with the talent and capacity unlike of anyone ever known...the talent to excel at any skill to the same level of anyone he deems a rival or a worthy foe." Jin read out loud. "...also has the uncanny ability to be fairly undetected if he chooses to, an ability he mimicked from his long time rival: Kenichi Aoki, no doubt. I trust finding him might have been easier?" Jin asked with interest.

The scout sweat-dropped. "We...uh...found him in the same town as that blasted kitsu-...as that Kenichi boy..." The scout bit back in exasperation. "From what we have seen, he does have the ability to understand and mimic secondary abilities to that of his rival. Kenichi Aoki has proven to be a multi-talented youth...but Inoue's abilities seem to constantly contest with that of Kenichi's...he was surprisingly able to help disarm one of his traps when one of our scouts fell on it."

"Ogami would have a field day with these two...To my understanding, he's still registered as a Senbu Academy student." Jin wanted to confirm.

The scout nodded. "Yeah, but he's currently staying in the Tomobiki area. When we invited him to Hope's Peak, he also declined: he says that as long as his rival is there in Tomobiki he would not leave...not until he settles his score once and for all."

"Ah~...of course, the GMAC..." Jin nodded in understanding. "I'm guessing Inoue-san is unaware of the true nature that tournament had...correct?"

The scout looked confused. "Sir? What do you mean?"

Jin gave a bitter smile, as from Ken's dossier he produced a set of papers and gave it to the scout. "The tournament itself was a setup." Jin explained, as the scout looked surprised at this information. "The Mizunokoji family set up this irresponsible tournament as a favor to Kenichi Aoki, it may have something to do with him leaving his home town...but other information on that regard has been incredibly scarce...of course we managed to uncover quite a few revealing secrets behind that." Jin explained

The scout sat there, his mouth gaping in shock. "..."

"From what I've found out, the tournament itself was put in place by the Mizunokoji, and only allowed disciple-class fighters as its' participants. The tournament was to carry on legitimately up until the final bout: Shou Inoue had managed to claim victory in this fight, but it was then that Kenichi Aoki challenged him. In any other competition, this challenge would've been outright disregarded and ignored, but Aoki had set it so he'd be allowed to face off the victor of the final match." Jin Kirigiri summarized what he had discovered. "Since Shou always viewed Kenichi as his long time rival, and since the latter knew how to manipulate the former psychologically to accept the challenge, Shou accepted the fight...a fight were he was at a complete disadvantage."

"A-a disadvantage, sir?" The scout asked.

Jin nodded. "The final day of the tournament carried three matches, with little to no recovery period in between the fights. Kenichi had waited for the final confrontation and challenged a weary and tired Shou to one final fourth match, with the title on the line. Shou fell in to his rival's trap, and Kenichi claimed an easy victory, even if he became despised in the world of martial arts, he would deliver one final insult to his colleagues in the art and to his own family, by retiring immediately after his victory...he had severed ties with his family with this final act of rebellion, and Shou, humiliated...had set off to a training trip...after the fact." The headmaster finished.

The scout was speechless, he had seen the talent and skill the delinquent had, so he knew that his talents were true...but for this same talented youth to hate something with so much passion as to concoct such a scheme to bring humiliation to martial arts, just for revenge on a petty family feud? The scout could not describe how much evil had gone into developing such a scheme.

"Well...perhaps recruiting Kenichi directly might not work out, so I will have you seek out this person instead...maybe then our other two candidates can be persuaded to join." Jin retrieved yet another dossier he had nearby, and gave it to the scout. "Hopefully she will turn out much better than our...previous Ultimate Princess..." Jin said hopeful.

The scout blinked confused and looked into the dossier handed to him.

"...Emi Moroboshi...Candidate to "NEW" Ultimate Princess for the 78th Class..." The scout read out loud, as he regarded a picture of a very familiar emerald haired half-Oni princess...
