Lupa POV

Mother had been acting weird lately. Ever since the fate triplets were banished two week ago she just hadn't seemed herself. She's been distracted, fidgety, and whenever she looked at me she'd get this pained smile before walking away quickly.

When she went up to Olympus I didn't worry too much because I could still get a hold of her easily through an Iris message. I just thought she need time to deal with banishing her own hunters. According to Zoe this was the first time in almost six hundred years that someone was banished.

Then she cut off all contact with the hunt and even myself. I tried calling auntie Aphy to see if she could talk to mother and apparently mom lost it when she showed up. That was three days ago.

Now Thalia, Zoe, and I were going to go looking for her. We had already been to Olympus and we only had a single lead. Supposedly one of the nature spirits that tended the courtyard in front of my mother's palace of heard her saying something about my father before leaving.

It didn't make sense to me. She never went to see him without me nor did she really talk about him either. As far as I could tell my father was just powerful being that she happened to know. Maybe she considered him a friend.

When we reached the valley the nymphs greeted us like normal and we took the chance to ask them if my mother had been by. Surprisingly she had, according to them, she had been there about three days ago around noon. She was angry and left shortly after in tears and they hadn't seen her since.

"Should we just head out in the direction she left?" Zoe asked.

"No Borthomire might have an idea of where she went next." Thalia countered "Besides at this time of year there's only one other place she might go."

"You don't mean there do you?" Zoe asked which made me curious as to where there was.

"It could be?" Thalia said "She gets stressed right before his death and then she goes to see the god of heroes. It makes sense to me anyway."

"Whose death? What are you talking about!?"

Zoe and Thalia shared a look "It's not really our place to say. You'll have to ask your mother." Thalia said finally.

We walked down to my home in silence which was maddening. It almost felt like I was about to get grounded by my father.

When we got to the house Zoe actually knocked on the door and waited "Really?" I asked.

"What it's called being polite." She defended

"I live here just open the door and walk in!"

"Fine!" Opening the door Zoe strode in only to stop after a couple steps. Following her in Thalia and I were shocked at the state of things. The sitting area was destroyed! The table we used for drinks had been crushed and one of the couches had been flipped onto its back.

"What the Hades happened here?" Zoe said finally. It may have been worded like a question but we all knew the answer. Someone attacked my father.

Moving through the house more and more things kept showing up broken. Furniture was destroyed, a door leading to the back of the house had been snapped off its hinges, and the one none stone wall in the entire house had a person sized dent in it. All of which led straight to my father's room.

"I guess it ends here." Thalia said.

"Weapons out just in case." Zoe added drawing her hunting knives. Thalia and I did the same as anything larger would hinder us too much. "On three. One, Two, Three!" We burst into the room expecting more destruction but other than clothes being thrown around the room there was really nothing of note. My father was laying on his side fast asleep in bed.

"Well this isn't so bad." I said putting my knives away.

I was about to shake my father awake when a distinctly feminine voice came from the bed "Hmm? What's with all the noise?" the sheets started shifting and then one of my father's arms was pushed out of the way to reveal a very familiar face.

"Mother!" I screamed.

Thalia POV

When Lupa started screaming we all panicked. Artemis and a now very awake Borthomire started kicking of their blankets. I ran out of the room the moment it became apparent that neither of them were wearing and clothes. I would have completely left the house but Zoe stopped me before I made it out of the door. "Let go of me!" I shouted trying to shake her off.

"Thalia calm down and breath!" She snapped, scolding me like some child. Oddly enough it actually worked and my panic attack died down almost instantly.

"What did we just see?" I asked when I could breathe properly again.

"Maybe not the best question to ask." Zoe replied pointing at Lupa who was currently shivering in the corner.

"Fair point." I said heading over to my niece.

By the time Artemis and Borthomire came out, dressed thankfully, Zoe and I hand set the couch upright and coxed Lupa onto it. "Is she alright?" Artemis asked.

"Well she's stopped shivering." I said "But enough about that, what the Hades have you been up to!"

Artemis for her part looked slightly ashamed and took a seat on one of the chairs across from us while Borthomire took the chair nearest her. "This wasn't how I wanted to tell you this but for close to a year now I've been having feelings for Borthomire. I never said anything to anyone because I was still trying to deal with past events. Then two weeks ago when I banished the fate Triplets I caught sight of a scare on Borthomire's face and it made me realise something." the moon goddess paused as she reached over and yanked the hood of Borthomire's cloak down.

"Percy!" I shrieked not believing my eyes.

"I thought we agreed that I would be sharing that bit of information at a later date." Borthomire or Percy or whatever said looking at Artemis, as I stood up.

"Yes but this will be funnier." Artemis replied sliding her chair away from him.

"Funnier how?"

Artemis simply pointed at me. He looked up just in time to see my electrified fist slammed into his chest. He blocked my second blow but was blind sided by Zoe's hit which sent him tumbling backwards out of his chair. "You stupid piece of crap!" I screamed kicking him. "We thought you were dead! We went to your funeral and for the last four hundred years you've been alive and well and you couldn't even bother to send a freaking letter so we knew you were alive!"

"Enough!" Artemis said, "I know you're angry, I was to but he did have a reason."

"Well it better be a good one!" I snapped stomping over to the couch with Zoe.

"Start with what happened to you!" Zoe added.

Percy didn't even try to get back in his chair and instead situated himself against the wall. "Okay so abridged version." He said with a sigh. "After the giant war I wanted to see my army home so I walked with them as they dispersed until it was just me. I was nearly to Athens when Lycon attacked me. He turned me into a werewolf with the intent on sending me into Athens under his control and having me kill everyone there. Thankfully he didn't know that his curse would only grant control over me if his will was stronger than mine which meant that I kept my identity and free will. Then I killed him and his pack before blacking out.

Next time I woke up Pan was there and he told me about the Eldorian kingdom. He then explained that he was fading and needed someone who could take over as the new king, a king that wouldn't start a war with Olympus. However the catch was that I'd probably never get to see anyone from my old life again."

"So you chose a kingdom of us!"

"No!" Percy bellowed his voice shaking the whole building. "If I had chosen to simply return to Olympus and war broke out odds are that you and everyone else would have died! I totured myself over what I should do for weeks before deciding that knowing all of you would live was more important than seeing you again." The force of his stare was so strong it made me feel like I was sinking into the couch.

"I trained with Pan for years learning their laws and traditions. When I learned that I was technically the new wolf king I didn't even know how to feel. All I knew for sure was that I didn't quite feel like 'Percy' any more so I chose a new name Borthomire. Ten years after I left I claimed the throne and became the king of beasts. I made friends and came to love my people. Certain laws needed to be changed but nothing too dramatic. Aphrodite knew about my kingdom by virtue of being Pisces daughter and helped to keep me informed about event on Olympus and has even become something of a friend to me. In recent years I adopted Lupa as you know and that brings us up to date."

I was still mad but at the same time I knew he was right. "Okay so that explains where you've been but what about the thing we just walked in on?" I asked pointing to the bedroom.

Percy grinned chuckling slightly while Artemis blushed as she tried to force down her own smile. "Well two or three days ago I confronted around midnight and told him I knew who he was. We sat down at the table and had a good long talk about where he'd been and why. Before we knew it it was morning and he offered me his bed to sleep in while he went to the Eldorian capitol to handle his responsibilities.

When I awoke later I found him sleeping on the couch, well half asleep. He woke up as soon as I entered the room. We had lunch and then we finally talked about what happened when Orion died. It was hard but once it was done we told each other how we felt and agreed we were going to take things slow since this was new to both of us."

"And that lasted what? An hour or two?" Percy laughed causing Artemis to blush even more.

She didn't even make eye contact with us. "We were talking about everything and all those pent up emotions just hit me all at once and before I knew it we were… well we were in the bedroom." She explained seemingly ashamed at her own lack of self control. "And we're engaged." She added after a moment, not that it was really surprising. After 400 years of waiting it was bound to happen.

"Um we're married actually." Percy added after a moment.

"What?" Artemis asked whipping her head around to face Percy. "What do you mean we're already married?"

"Well in werewolf culture the act of...mating counts as the wedding. The ceremony is more for show than anything else." he explained looking a little sheepish.

"Oh." was her only reply as she sunk into her chair stunned but not upset by the news.

Really we all were stunned but as I sat there a thought came to mind "You think that's shocking how are you going to explain this to father?" I asked. The looks of surprise and fear on their faces were priceless.
