Isn't it sad when a story ends? Well... This ends here, fellas! There goes nothing, enjoy!

Epilogue

Send My Wishes To New Babylon.

Isn't it sadder when a whole family is an entire galaxy away?

Amy wondered slightly as she took very slow steps towards the mailbox. A small, pink eneveloped letter was on her quivering hands, that shiftened with each cold breeze of winter. The air moved her quills. It was the night of New Year.

She gripped the letter tighter when she got to the mailbox. She was at the point of taking a step back... But she didn't. Her feet were telling her that she should cope with everything, just as her mother taught her. But putting the letter in meant saying goodbye to her family, to her friends in New Babylon, even though going away with it meant throwing away each little effort she had put on the cause.

Gathering a quick excuse, Amy unwrapped the letter and read it,

Well, hello again. It's me, your daughter.

How are you? It's been several months since I last had contact with you. Losing dad was hard, y'know? But saying goodbye to Cassidy, my long lost sister was harder though. Having killed my own father was seriously killing my neurons... So Sonic insisted on me going to theraphy.

Writting you is a step back after all. The first sessions were hard as hell, but the woman was nice to me and pretended to understand. I don't think anyone suffiently sane can do so, so I despise anyone who tells me that he or she understands.

That's why my friends have gone quiet about the thing in each conversation, something Sonic also insisted a lot on, and I thank them a lot.

The day I came back, two days after Dyster's defeat, two months after I fistly went away, my friends greeted me as if I had been gone for years. Even Shadow seemed happy to see me! After I told them the whole story not very detailled, they grew amazed. I think they are better with me...

Shadow told me I was a crybaby before, and he told me I still was. But I know he says it with respect and not seriously... I think.

I've had various phonecalls from various people.

Starting with Noah, from Little Planet, she is going out with Fred. Cassidy told me in a call I got later that they all fough against Dyster's monsters too, and we didn't realize! I didn't see them in the party, so I don't know what became of them before she called. Jannette was quite busy with the Sensei, who lost a battle against an illness just a few weeks ago.

Alyne and Eithan have been well too! They are also going out, but Cassidy always tells me they don't look like a couple at all, they are always argueing! But they love each other as stars and moon, so I guess everything is alright. Elliana is happy with her place as a princess, now it's all peace. Lou is in a coma after Rawah's Temple was severly destroyed, and he was injuried. But Ellie told me several things I didn't know.

The Wisps fusioned into my ring when I woke up from the trance Dyster put me into. Cassidy didn't need any light anyway, since Dyster's darkness filled the ring easily. I can feel Nix and Ignis having a raw sometimes, and each time I argue with anybody I feel Vita too! It's hilarious.

The Dark Dimension disappeared too, but the traces of Dyster are still burning scars. It will still take time to recover.

About Sonic-

"You are reading it again?"

Turning around, Amy sighed, "You followed me, Sonic?"

"Not at all." he took her arms, "My sense did, what are you doing?"

"I-"

"Is this a letter?" Sonic stole her letter and opened it even though Amy tried hard to take it back, "Is this for your mother?"

"Not at all! It's for..." Amy tried hard to think, but Sonic's glare made her give up, "Who cares about that?"

He embraced her softly, "Well, I do?" she sighed, "Amy, you have me now, I am your boyfriend, for God's sake! If you feel down, tell me."

Amy smirked, holding her letter up and shaking it slightly, "You know, it feels weird for you to say that. It doesn't sound like such a hard deal anymore."

"C'mon, throw that in and come on. We are waiting for you inside Tails' house." said he kissing her forehead.

"Okay, hold on a sec, okay?"

As her boyfriend ran away, she giggled and went on reading,

I remember you too. And I miss you too.

Thanks for each thing you did, mom. I love you too much.

I wish you are happy up there, it's my dearest wish.

Love, Amy.

Amy closed the envelope, and a mailing man just came by. His bike was sunk into the snow, and he had to shake snow away from his cap,"Hello, m'am. Can I help you?"

Adjusting her reddish scarf, she scratched her head, "Oh, not really. I was just about to throw this in."

"You are sending a letter in Christmas?" asked the man, who was a green rabbit of not more than twenty years old, "It's quite irregular for anybody to send one these days." Amy made a confused face, "Is it something special?"

"Actually," she looked back for a second, "it really is..."

"Urgent?"

"Personal."

"Where to?" asked he.

"New Babylon." answered the pinkhead.

"I could give it on hand if it's so special for you..." he looked at the sender of the letter, "Amy."

"It would be great, thanks." thanked Amy politely.

"No problem, any special recomendations?" asked the mailman.

"No, thanks again."

As the rabbit rode away with his snowful bike, Amy put a hand on her heart, smiling contently, "It may be a step back, put I can take two forward later on. Thank you, for sending my wishes to New Babylon, wish you best."

While she thought, her head got titled when she wondered outloud:

"Is he going to New Babylon on that old bike?"

In an unknown galaxy, dimension, place, there was a wooden room. The space was lit by a candle, and a busy girl wrote on an old book that was full of cursive caligraphy. She wrote quickly, with haste, but with a calm face that only brightened her roots.

She was a female hedgehog, with feet-length violet strands of hair that laid partly on the floor. Her skin was peachy, and it was sightly tired because of unslept hours. She wore a semitransparent gown that reached the floor too, and covered her elbows delicately. A bright pink flower rested on head, and after putting it upper, she looked at Amy's letter, that rested by the candle.

Still writting as she observed, she sighed, "I've told you it's forbidden to have contact with current people."

"I know."

"You do?"

"It's different this time." the violet-haired shook her head, ignoring the speaker, "Don't make me lose focus, I'm at the verge of finishing."

"Ilyasha, let the girl be. You've done enough."

Resting the writing feather in mid air, Ilyasha hissed, "I refuse."

"Why did you get the letter?"

"I want to make the fabric of her life with my feather. She's done too much."

The man sighed, "How much will-"

"Just a few minutes!" assured the girl.

Ilyasha was the writer of lifes. She was the author of each event, and each book was someone's book. She had written that Amy had cried, she had written each time she suffered, but now, she needed to finish the story.

That way, just as Amy got back her life, the Diamond Emerald went back to its owner.

It turns out the Diamond had always belonged to Amy, and the gem would always belong to her, because the specific gem never existed.

In fact, the gem was, precisely, Amy.

The whole population used to call her that way. Diamond. Because an alliation of carbon and the pressure she had gone through deserved such a brilliant name. Elliana, all the information every one gave to our heros, was true, but the Princess talked about it as a gem, knowing they wouldn't forget about it.

But they did, which was a great thing, because they focused on Amy more than on the gem. But little did they know, it was all true, because Amy was certainly much more powerful than all those current Emeralds. Amy had kept with her a truly chased treasure from the royalty, which was the wanted gem, not the Diamond.

Amy was a Princess, Sonic was a hero. There we go, here is the fantasy everybody dreams about.

But remember, a princess isn't known because of her crown, but because of her heart.

May they have a happy ending, and may they rest together bounded by faith I seal.

Ilyasha gathered the letter, and walked away, closing the door and making the air blow the light away from the candle. Her hands had to be washed, because she had written too much ink.

Purple Ink.

Fin.
