Jane's POV
I don't know, but ever since Natalie called me "ma", I have been thinking about my future. My future with Maura and Natalie, do I want them both forever, would they want me? Wow, where has this day gone; I gotta get this food in a container and then I need to call in a favor.
2 Hours Later
Maura's POV
"Wow that was a close call, but she will pull through Mr. Jameson. Your wife is sedated at the moment to let the medication work through her system. We controlled the bleeding and she is out of the woods, but we will want to keep her for a couple says to make sure." I tell Mr. Jameson, my patient's husband.

"Uh sure, but no thanks is needed; it's my job and I love saving lives. If you want you can follow Jessica. She is the nurse that is on your wife's care for the evening." I say to him and I walk him over to the nurse.
Today has been a long day, I'll be happy when I'm back on regular rotation. 3 Minutes Later
I make it downstairs, and notice I'm at one of the attending lounges; I hope a doctor isn't having an emergency.

"Jane, Jane I'm sorry; I believe you ; I'm sorry I'm just really surprised. No one has ever done something like this before; I mean Natalie brings me breakfast for Mother's Day. I've never had someone care so much who would think of something like this; just cause they miss me. I love it and I love you; do you believe Jay?" I ask her giving her a puppy dog look I learned that she can't deny.
"Oh come on, you can't give me that look and call me that; you know I can't handle that combination. Damn it Maur, you know I was kidding and of course I love you; I'm glad you love the surprise also. All that "exercise" has left me starving a bit, ready to eat?" Jane asks me as she guides me over to our dinner table and pulls out my chair and I sit.
Jane pulls the tops of our dinner and I see that what looks like homemade ravioli with red sauce, garlic bread and a garden salad on a smaller bowl. She grabs the bottle and turns it to show that it's just sparkling cider; I'm touched that she was so thoughtful.
"What? Don't give me that look; my girl isn't going to be drunk on the job on my watch. I want my baby to be in tip top shape, when you have to go into surgery." Jane says with a wink.
"Jane this is so wonderful, I have the best girlfriend in the world; I still can't believe it." I say smiling at her before taking a sip of my chilled cider.
"Well believe it babe, I'm all yours M. Now let's eat cause you have a scheduled surgery in about an hour and a half. I want you to have enough time to get out of sexy mode and back into Chief of Surgery mode." Jane says with a smile before she starts to dig into her ravioli.
"You're right let's eat, I am a little hungry myself." I say with a wink.
"I do have one question, mmm this is really good; how did you keep the food hot and the cider chilled?" I ask her.
"Ah ah ah, that my dear Maura, is my little secret" Jane says before resuming her eating, with a smirk on her face.

On a serious note: I don't think writing "smut" is a strong suit for me… I feel like it's not really going well in that writing department, maybe it's not for me.
