You hated being in stuck in the middle of the ocean for so long. You, Zuko, and Iroh made it to earth kingdom soil, it only took three hellish weeks. You're at a spa and Iroh is getting a massage. Zuko has been depressed all day. Since he's not ready to tell you, you've been hugging him, giving him innocent kisses and just being there for him.

"Kana thanks for trying to make me happy," Zuko whispered as he held you, the two of you are sitting under a tree.

"You don't have to thank me, besides it's also and excuse for me to be close to you," you said cutely.

Zuko smiled slightly. "You never need an excuse " but then he went back to being sad.

Suddenly Iroh spoke loudly "who knew floating on a piece of driftwood for three weeks with no food or water and sea vultures waiting to pluck out your liver could make one so tense! Prince Zuko you should really get a massage, it does wonders!" Iroh exclaimed

"Leave me alone" Zuko sighed

"What's wrong, Prince Zuko" Iroh asked completely oblivious

"What do you think uncle!" Zuko snapped.

"Oh it's that day isn't it" Iroh said sadly.

You looked at Zuko as you realized why he was so upset.

"Two years ago today, I was banished and cursed with this scar." Zuko said hopelessly. You could tell his anger was only a mask for his sadness. Iroh left feeling the awkwardness of the situation.

You stood up "Come on Zuko" you said.

He looked at you in confusion "Why?"

"So we can be alone silly" you said as you gestured to the spa workers listening to your every word.

Zuko stood up, you grabbed his hand and led him into the words, the two of you found a nice shady spot surrounded by wild flowers

"So you've been sad because of that" you asked, Zuko knew what you were referring to and nodded. "I really hate seeing you like this" you told him.

"I'm sorry Kana" Zuko said looking down.

"You never have to be sorry, you're allowed to be upset, I cant even imagine what you must have felt like two years ago" you sighed "I just wish I could take some of your pain away" you said sadly.

Zuko sat up " you do, it's just this day..." Zuko trailed off.

"Anything I could do to help make you feel better?" you asked

Zuko smirked and started to tickle you, you began to laugh uncontrollably.

"Zuko...stop ... !" you said between fits of laughter.

"Aw but you're smiling and laughing" Zuko said childishly as he stopped tickling you and pulled you into his arms

When you stopped laughing you tackled Zuko to the ground.

"If this is payback, I think I like it" Zuko said with a sly smirk.

You giggled and laid down next to him. Zuko leaned on his elbows

"Guess what" you said happily

"What?"

"You're in a good mood now" you said victoriously

Zuko smiled at you then pulled you down for a kiss. His kisses weren't as innocent as they used to be, but they held just as much love if not more.

The two of you spent most of the day in the clearing. Though as it got later the two of you headed back to the cabin where you'll be staying. The two of you walked in laughing.

"Hello Zuzu" a creepy female voice said.

"Azula" Zuko said, his voice filled with venom.

"Zuzu? Azula?" you questioned completely confused.

"She's my sister" Zuko said angrily, loosing his temper very quickly.

"And Zuzu is my little nickname for Zuko here" Azula managed to make that sound really creepy.

"What are you doing here" Zuko asked about to lose his self-control

"Easy Zuzu, father sent me, he wants you to come home" Azula said

Zuko's eyes widened slightly. Something didn't seem right about this to you.

"He really wants me home?" Zuko asked keeping his guard up

"Of course, father has had a change of heart, he realized that family is really the only people you can trust" Azula said "I'll leave you to think it over my ship sets sail tomorrow if you're interested. Have fun with your whore" she said as she walked out the door.

Zuko was about to yell at her but you beat him to it "I am not a whore, you cow!" you said "I don't care if you are the fire princess, if you think you can treat me like that you are sadly mistaken." you said the last part more to yourself.

"Zuzu, you should really keep better control over your peasant" and with that she left.

You turned to Zuko "I hate your sister" you said rather bluntly.

"I do too" he replied. Then he took your hands in his and looked into your eyes. "You're are not a whore or a peasant, I love you"

"I love you too," you said with a kiss.

Iroh walked in a while later and Zuko told him about everything that happened. Zuko is extremely happy about going back home, he was so happy that you didn't want to tell him that you wont be going with him...

That night you wanted to cry for the first time in a while. The thought of Zuko leaving hurt you. Now you know how he must have felt you when you almost went home with your brothers. You didn't sleep that night, Zuko however slept like a hibernating bear.

The next morning you walked Zuko and Iroh to Azula's ship. Once you got there you stopped Zuko.

"I guess this is goodbye," you said sadly.

"What?" Zuko asked completely freaked out.

"Zuko I cant go back with you, I need to get to Ba-Sing-Se and find my brothers and I need to go back home to my parents eventually" you explained with tears in your eyes.

Zuko looked like he was hit by a speeding rhino.

"I love you Zuko" you said as you kissed him "you know where to find me" you turned and started to walk away as you started to cry.

"Kana why can't you just come with me" Zuko asked rather childishly.

"I need to find my brothers...I'll contact you as soon as i do" you said. Zuko nodded and with one last look you walked away crying. You didn't go very far, you hid behind a tree and sunk to the ground.

You watched as Kana walked away, it felt like your heart was being torn out.

"Come on Zuko, we don't have all day" Azula said tauntingly.

"Prince Zuko you don't have to do this, you could walk away and go find Kana" uncle suggested.

"I can't uncle, my father wants me home" you started to walk onto the ship.

Azula shouted a few orders.

"You heard the princess, we're taking the prisoners home!" the captain yelled.

"Prisoners!" you yelled angrily

"It's a trap" uncle yelled

You turned to Azula "you lied to me!"

"Like I haven't done that before," Azula said easily.

The crew was getting the ship ready to sail, you and uncle fought Azula and the remaining crewmembers. As the ship began to pull away from the shore Kana jumped onto the ship.

"I thought you left" you said happy to see her.

"I didn't go far" she said, you could tell she had been crying

'I really messed up' you thought sadly.

The fight continued and at one point kana kicked Azula in the face. Eventually, you, Kana and Uncle escaped and fled into the woods. You knew this would not be the last time you would see Azula. The three of you stopped to rest at a stream.

"So what are we gonna do?" Kana asked.

"If the earth kingdom discoverer us they'll have us killed" you said.

"But if the fire nation discovers us, they'll turn us over to Azula" uncle said.

"Ok! Earth Kingdom it is!" Kana decided, you and Uncle agreed.

"We'll need to disguise ourselves," you said as you took the knife Uncle gave you when you were little. You cut off your ponytail, then handed the knife to uncle who then cut off his bun.

You looked at Kana; her beautiful red hair was now waist length. She ran her fingers through it knowing she would have to cut it; it would be too easy to identify her if she kept it long. You handed her the knife. She flipped her hair and cut it. The front of her hair is the longest and it gradually gets shorter towards the back.

Kana frowned, displeased with her reflection. You wrapped your arms around her and kissed her softly. "You're as beautiful as you always are" you said quietly. She smiled "besides now i can kiss your neck easily" you mumbled with your lips against her neck
