I am so filled with inspiration that I've decided to already update again. This time there better be some more reviews otherwise I'm taking a long break again. Not to sound ungrateful but if you guys want more frequent updates (which there will be more of now if you review because I know exactly how to go about the next few chapters and this mission will be long and there'll be some more MinaKushi moments), then can you please tell me what you honestly think about these chapters because they are very personal to me and I really want some feedback on these especially! Thank you in advance, now enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 35 - Something Fishy

"I heard that Watt Paulson has stopped the islanders from killing two pods of whales already!"

"Really? Where did you hear that?"

"I read it on the Ocean Angels' website!"

"He's amazing! He's a real hero!"

Jiraiya was sitting in the bar, listening in on the conversation between two middle-aged men. The name of the Ocean Angels leader had come up and sparked his attention. He had hoped that some of Paulson's supporters would be on this ship. That gave him the opportunity to do a little bit of spying and gather some useful information.

Jiraiya discreetly moved his bar stool a little closer to the men.

"Last year not a single whale was killed, all thanks to the bravery of Paulson and his volunteers," one of the men continued.

"Were you there?" the other one asked.

"Afraid not," the first one said. "WIsh I were though, but I didn't have any money for the trip though, but this year I finally managed to scrape together enough to go".

"What do you think it will be like?"

"Harsh, brutal - I don't know, one never knows with these islanders. They're at least a century behind us. They still use the slaughter of innocent animals to determine one's manliness. That's the only reason they kill those poor whales, to prove something. But all they have managed to prove is that they are a bunch of primitive barbarians whose culture does not belong in our modern day world".

Jiraiya took a sip of his sake while he digested the information he had picked up from their conversation. He had never been to the Land of Sheep himself but he knew people who had who had told him a great deal about it along with the information he had dug up himself from scrolls. He had never heard anything that sounded even remotely close to what he had heard just now. According to his sources the Land of Sheep was one of the most peaceful countries in the world if not the most peaceful of all with its friendly people and bottom-low crime rate and its many festivals and happy celebrations. If he hadn't known for a fact which country the two men were referring to he would have been sure that they were speaking of somewhere else.

There was something strange about all this.

"Wauv, it's beautiful!" Rin squealed in awe as all five Leaf ninja stepped out of the airport after receiving their luggage.

Minato eyed the green hills surrounding them on every side. "It sure is".

And the rest of the team silently agreed.

"It's kind of cold though," Obito murmured.

Kushina agreed wholeheartedly with Obito. She was born and raised in a sunny country and she had thought the Land of Fire was bad compared to her home but she had never been to a place that was this cold. And it was summer now, it was supposed to be warm not windy and freezing.

'How can anyone possibly live here?' she wondered silently.

"So what do we do now, sensei?" Rin asked.

Minato turned his head and looked around.

"Our client was supposed to pick us up," he said. "I don't see anyone yet so we wait".

"How will we know who our client is?" Obito asked.

"He's a middle-aged man with a red van," Minato said. "Lord Hokage gave me all the details. Traffic delay is pretty common here, we'll just have to be patient".

Obito yawned. "I'm hungry".

"But you ate on the flight Obito," Rin scolded.

"I know but they serve such tiny portions," Obito complained. "I checked out the café in the corner, it's got sushi-boxes and it looked delicious!"

Minato sighed. "Be quick, Obito, our ride can be here any minute!"

Obito squealed and jumped up into the air and sprinted back towards the entrance.

Rin and Kakashi sighed in unison.

Okay that was it for now. I've decided to make my chapters shorter and instead update more frequently. I'm losing some subscribers so I thought this would be better to keep people interested.
Anyway I've still got tons of inspiration left for future chapters and therefore this mission might drag on for a while but to make up for it I'll spend more time on the development of Minato and Kushina's relationship.

Please post a review when you're done reading this because I really need people's opinion.

Thanks anyway,

Wavie
