(The Next Day)

Devon, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Barf and Belch, Frodo, and Sam were crossing a large corn field. Sam got separated from the group. He looks ahead and behind him, then looks around nervously.

"Mr. Frodo? Devon? Luna? Guys!" Sam calls

Frodo, Devon and his friends turn around the corner and looks at Sam confused.

"Sam, you alright?" Devon asks

"I thought I'd lost you." Sam says

"What are you talking about?" Frodo asks

"It's just something Gandalf said." Sam says

"What did he say?" Frodo asks

"'Don't you lose him, Samwise Gamgee.' And I don't mean to." Sam says

"Sam, we're still in the Shire. What could possibly happen?" Frodo asks

Suddenly, two Hobbits burst out of the crops and run into both Frodo and Sam, knocking them to the ground. It was Merry and Pippin.

"Frodo! Merry! It's Frodo Baggins!" Pippin says

"Hello, Frodo!" Merry says

"Get off 'im! Come on, Frodo." Sam says angrily pulling Pippin off Frodo

The group notice that Merry and Pippin were carrying vegetables, which were carrots, celery, cabbage, and tomatoes.

"What's all this?" Devon asks

"Hold this." Merry says handing Sam the vegetables

"You've been in the Farmer Maggot's Crop!" Sam says

Suddenly, the group heard dogs barking and a man yelling angrily.

"You get back here! Get out of my field!" The man yells

Merry shoves Frodo into the stalks and Pippin follows. Devon and his friends decide to follow the three Hobbits into the corn stalks. Sam stays in nervous indecision looking down at the vegetables and the angry farmer's scythe as it towered over the corn stalks, but he soon drops the vegetables and runs to catch up with the others.

"You get back here! Get out of my field! You'll know the devil if I catch up with you!" The man yells

"I don't know why he's so upset. It's only a couple of carrot!" Merry says

"And some cabbages. And those three bags of potatoes that we lifted last week. And-and then the mushrooms the week before." Pippin says

"Yes, Pippin! My point is, he's clearly over-reacting! Run!" Merry says

The group run through the field until they meet a dead-end at a cliff edge of the hill. They all instantly stop, staring at the rocky fall, but Sam bumps into them and they all tumble down. The Keyblade Wielder, Viking Teens, nine dragons and the four Hobbits all roll down the hill until theycome to a stop at the bottom on the road in a pile. The dragons were all on top of each other, each dazed by the fall. Sam rose up and spat out some grass that winded up in his mouth.

"Oh, that was close!" Pippin says

"Oh, I think I've broken something." Merry says

Merry reaches behind him and pulls a broken carrot out from under his back. Devon gets up and brushes some dirt off his body. Spyro and Cynder rise to their feet and shake their bodies off from the dirt. The Viking Teens rise to their feet and wipe the dirt off them. Toothless and the other dragons rise to their feet and shake the dirt off their bodies.

"Trust a Brandybuck and a Took." Sam says sarcastically

"What? That was just a detour-a shortcut." Merry says

"A shortcut to what?" Sam asks

"Mushrooms!" Pippin exclaims looking infront of him

The three Hobbits attempt to get up at once, pushing Pippin back down in the process. Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and the dragons watched the three Hobbits as they picked the mushrooms. As Sam, Pippin, and Merry pick the mushrooms, Frodo stares intently at the clearing down the road. Devon and Luna walked over to Frodo, seeing that he was wary and cautious.

"Frodo? What is it?" Devon asks

"I think we should get off the road." Frodo says

Devon, Luna, and Frodo stared back at the road which seemed to draw closer. Suddenly, a hard wind picks up and they all hear a loud, piercing shriek crying out down the road.

"Get off the road! Quick!" Frodo shouts

Devon looks around to find a spot to hide. He soon looks down the ditch on the side of the road.

"Down here!" Devon shouts

Devon jumps over the side of the road and takes cover in a nook under the roots of a tree with Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens, the dragons and the Hobbits all follow him in. The dragons was in the front of the group protecting Devon, the Viking Teens and the Hobbits.

Suddenly, they hear horseshoe clops approaching. It was a Black Rider riding his black horse. Frodo turns his head and looks up in a space between the roots to see the black horse's feet. The Black Rider dismounts his horse, landing on the ground with a loud thud, causing Frodo to quickly look away. The black figure lowers down and clutches one of the roots above their heads. It then looks around sniffing the air like a wolf stalking it's prey. As the group hid from the menacing figure, a spider crawls down Merry's sleeve, a centipede slithers from between the rider's fingers, and worms wriggle by their feet. Fishlegs covers his mouth, trying hard not to scream.

Then, Frodo's eyes roll back, entranced. He pulls the Ring out from his pocket and holds it in his hand. The Black Rider turned his head, sensing the Ring's presence. The black horse started grunting and whinnying, also sensing the ring. Frodo was about to slip it on, but Sam grabs his wrist, breaking him out of his trance. The Black Rider could no longer sense the Ring's presence and he turns his head away. Merry throws a backpack to the opposite side of the tree. The Black Rider whirls around and moves toward the direction of the noise and out of sight. The group all head out of their hiding spot and move down the hill.

"What was that?" Merry asks panting

Frodo looks down and his eyes widen in fear, staring at the Ring clenched in his palm.

(Later that night)

A Black Rider searches for the Ring with it's black horse braying wildly. The group move through the forest and hide behind a tree.

"See anything, Frodo?" Cynder asks

"Nothing." Frodo says

"What is going on?" Pippin asks

"That Black Rider was looking for something." Luna says

"Or someone." Devon says

"Frodo?" Merry asks

"Get down!" Pippin says

Everyone drops to the ground. A Black Rider was up ahead on a hill, looking over the forest. The moonlight shining behind it. The Black Rider soon leaves heading off in another direction.

"I have to leave the Shire." Frodo says

Frodo looks back at Merry and Pippin.

"We must get to Bree." Frodo says

"Right. Buckleberry Ferry. Follow me." Merry says

The group rose to their feet and followed Merry as he led them to the Ferry. Suddenly, they encounter the Black Rider appearing from behind some bushes. Sam, Merry and Pippin run for the Ferry while Frodo got left behind.

"Run! This way, follow me! Run!" Pippin shouts

Devon and his friends manage to zip past the Black Rider and follow the three Hobbits to the Ferry. Frodo tries to zip past the Black Rider, but the horse blocked his path. So he goes underneath the horse and runs. The group reach the Ferry and jump onboard.

"Get the rope, Sam!" Merry shouts

Sam and Pippin unties the rope from the Ferry.

"Frodo!" Sam shouts

Frodo nears the Ferry, but the Black Rider was right behind him.

"Run Frodo!" Pippin shouts

"Go!" Frodo shouts

The Ferry begins to float away while the others call out to Frodo.

"Frodo!" Devon shouts

"Hurry!" Luna shouts

"C'mon!" Hiccup shouts

"Run!" Astrid shouts

"Frodo! C'mon! Faster!" Sam shouts

"Jump!" Pippin shouts

Frodo jumps onto the Ferry and into Devon's arms. The Black Rider's horse slides to a stop just on the edge of the dock, nearly falling into the water. The Black Rider lets out a shriek at the group, then turns around and rides off.

"How far to the nearest crossing?" Frodo asks

"The Brandywine Bridge. Twenty miles." Merry says

The group watches as the Black Rider rides off into the night with two other Black Riders joining him.

(Moments later)

It was raining and the group finally reaches the village of Bree. Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin had the hoods of their cloaks on. The dragons draped their wings over Devon, the Viking Teens and the hobbits to keep them dry. They approach a wooden gate. Frodo knocks on the gate and a man opens a small window. He looks around and sees nothing. He then opens another small window down below the first one and looks at the group.

"What do you want?" The Gatekeeper asks

"We're heading for the Prancing Pony." Frodo says

The Gatekeeper opens the wooden gate and held a lantern out so he could get a good look at the group.

"Hobbits! Four hobbits! And seven young ones and eight dragons!" The Gatekeeper says

"You have nothing to fear from us. We mean no harm." Luna says

"It's alright. They're with us." Devon says

"What business brings you all to Bree?" The Gatekeeper asks

"We wish to stay at the inn. Our business is our own." Devon says

"Alright, young sir, I meant no offense. It's my job to ask question after nightfall. There's talk of strange folk abroad. Can't be too careful." The Gatekeeper says

"No kidding." Snotlout says

The gatekeeper opens the gate and lets the group inside. The village of Bree was a settlement full of men. Inns, bars, and houses filled the streets. The group soon came across a sign that read "Prancing Pony". This was their destination. They walked in and saw many men inside drinking and enjoying themselves. They walked up to the counter.

"Excuse me." Frodo says

A man named Barliman from the otherside of the counter walks over and looks down to the hobbits.

"Good evening, little masters! If you're seeking accommodations, we've got some nice, cozy, hobbit-sized rooms available. And I'm sure we've got some extra rooms for your friends, Mr. Uh...?" Barliman says

"Underhill, my name's Underhill." Frodo lies

"Underhill. Yes." Barliman says

"We're friends of Gandalf the Grey. Can you tell him we arrived?" Devon says

"Gandalf? Gandalf?" Barliman says looking confused

It took him a few moments to think upon the name, but he soon remembered the name and the wizard it belonged to.

"Oh yes! I remember, elderly chap, big gray beard, pointy hat." Barliman says

Devon nods his head.

"Not seen him for six months." Barliman says

This came to be quite a shock to the group and the look at each other, not knowing what to do.

"What do we do now?" Sam asks

"We'll have no choice but to wait." Devon says

The group all sat in the pub at one of the tables. They all waited for Gandalf to arrive at the inn, but some of them began to have their doubts, Sam being one of them.

"Sam. He'll be here. He'll come." Frodo says

"I thought Gandalf said he'd be here before us. Why isn't he here?" Snotlout says

"Maybe he got held up." Hiccup says

"You don't suppose something happened to him, do you?" Astrid asks

"I certaintly hope not." Luna says

"I'm sure he's fine, Luna." Devon says rubbing his hand on the female Night Fury's head

Merry sits back down at the table, staring at his pint.

"What's that?" Pippin asks

"This my friend, is a pint." Merry says

"It comes in pints?" Pippin asks

Merry murmurs in agreement.

"I'm getting one." Pippin says

Pippin gets up and heads for the bar.

"You had a whole half already!" Sam says trying to stop Pippin

As the group sat there, Sam nudges Frodo in the side and nods towards the corner of the room.

"That fellow's done nothin' but stare at us since we arrived." Sam says

The group all look toward a robed man who sat across from them in a corner staring at them. Barliman walks by and Frodo stops him.

"Excuse me, that man in the corner, who is he?" Frodo asks

"He's one of them Rangers. Dangerous folk they are... wandering all over the wilds. What his right name is I've never heard, but around here, he's known as Strider." Barliman says

Afterwards, Barliman walks away.

"Strider..." Frodo says

The hooded man breathes into his cigar. It's light illuminating his eyes for a brief moment.

Frodo holds the ring in his hands and began fiddling with it. He then hears a dark voice calling his name which slowly made him fall into a trance again.

"Baggins. Baggins. Baggins. Baggins! Baggins!" The dark voice says

"Baggins!" Another voice says

This voice belonged to Pippin who sat at a bar, which snapped Frodo out of his trance.

"Sure I know him. He's over there. Frodo Baggins. He's my second cousin once removed on his mother's side and my third cousin twice removed on his father's side, if you follow me." Pippin says

Frodo panics and runs towards Pippin.

"Pippin!" Frodo says

"Steady on, Frodo." Pippin says

Suddenly, Frodo slips on the wet floor, landing flat on his back. The Ring flies upward from his hand and through the air. The Ring falls back down towards Frodo who stretches his hand out to catch it. When he does, the Ring accidentally slips onto his finger, and Frodo disappears. Everyone in the inn was shocked by this.

(Elsewhere)

The Black Riders sense the Ring's power and ride on their black horses for the village of Bree.

Frodo stood on his feet and he found himself in a whirling world of darkness. Everything around him was distorted and smoky. Suddenly, he heard a dark voice speaking to him.

"You cannot hide... I see you." A dark voice says

Frodo turns around and sees the Eye of Sauron appearing infront of him. The Eye of Sauron was as Saruman described lidless and wreathed in flames. Frodo backs away, but he falls back onto the ground.

"There is no life in the void... only... death." Sauron says

Frodo takes the Ring off his finger and he reappears back in the Prancing Pony. Suddenly, the robed man, Strider grabs Frodo by his collar.

"You draw far too much attention to yourself, Mr. 'Underhill'!" Strider says

Strider brings Frodo into an empty bedroom and thrusts him onto the floor.

"What do you want?" Frodo asks

"A little caution from you. That is no trinket you carry." Strider says

"I carry nothing." Frodo says

"Indeed." Strider says

Strider walks around the room, putting out the candle flames with his fingers.

"I can avoid being seen if I wish but to disappear entirely, That is a rare gift." Stider says

Strider removes his hood, revealing himself to Frodo who stares at him, scared.

"Who are you?" Frodo asks

"You frightened?" Strider asks

"Yes." Frodo says

"Not nearly frightened enough. I know what hunts you." Strider says

Suddenly, the door to the room opens and Strider draws his sword, reacting quickly. Devon, the Viking Teens, the dragons and the hobbits all burst into the room. Devon had his Keyblade: Soul Calibur drawn. Merry and Pippin were armed with a candelabra and a three-legged stool. And Sam resorted to his fists.

"Let him go, or I'll have you, Longshanks!" Sam says

"You have a stout heart, little hobbit, but that will not save you." Strider says

Strider sheathes his sword and looks toward Frodo.

"You can no longer wait for the Wizard, Frodo. They're coming." Strider says

Hearing this made the group feel tense. The Nazgûl were on their way to Bree.

(Later that night)

A horse grunts at the gates to Bree. The Gatekeeper gets up and walks up to the gate to investigate. As soon as he opens the small window, his eyes widen with horror and the gate comes crashing down on him as the Black Riders trampled all over him. They ride through the muddy streets until they reach the Prancing Pony. The Black Riders head inside the inn with their swords drawn. Barliman stays still behind the counter, nervously waiting as they pass by.

The Black Riders enter the room and see four occupied beds. Each of the Riders stand next to each bed with their swords drawn. They point their swords down and raise them into the air. Within moments, the Black Riders drive their swords down onto the beds, stabbing them continuously. Their black horses neigh ceaselessly outside. Strider watches them from a window across the street. One of the Black Riders unfolds the blankets and feathers whirl around. The beds had been stuffed with pillows that were now completely shredded. One of the Black Riders kicks a bed over in frustration.

The group awoken to their shrieks. Sam, Merry, and Pippin were all in the same bed as they heard the shrieks. Devon and the Viking Teens all sat up as they rested on the floor with their dragons who raised their heads, hearing the shrieks.

"Those are no ordinary riders. They're something else." Devon says

Everyone looks at Strider.

"What are they?" Frodo asks

"They were once men. Great Kings of Men. Then, Sauron the Deceiver gave to them nine rings of power. Blinded by their greed, they took them without question, one by one falling into darkness. Now they are slaves to his will." Strider says

Strider looks back out the window, observing the four mount their horses and ride off in the other direction. Then he turns back to the group.

"They are the Nazgûl, Ringwraiths, neither living nor dead. At all times they feel the presence of the Ring, drawn to the power of the One. They will never stop hunting you." Strider says

(The Next Day)

Devon, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and their dragons were traveling in the wilderness with Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin following Strider as he led them safely away from the Nazgûl. The group also had a pony named Bill with them. Devon and the Viking Teens walked alongside their dragons as they and the Hobbits followed Strider as he leads Bill over the hills while they were lagging behind.

"Where are you taking us?" Devon asks

"Into the wild." Strider says

Strider turns around a tree, observing the moss and smelling the air, leading the rest on. Merry walks up to Frodo and Devon and whispers to them.

"How do we know this Strider is a friend of Gandalf?" Merry asks

"I think a servant of the enemy would look fairer and feel fouler." Frodo says

"He's foul enough." Merry mutters angrily

"We have no choice but to trust him." Frodo says

"Frodo's right. We need to trust him. Strider offered his aid to us. We can't turn him aside no matter how mysterious he appears to be. I believe he is someone we can trust." Devon says

"If Devon trust him, then I do too." Luna says

"But where is he leading us?" Sam asks whispering

"To Rivendell, Master Gamgee. To the House of Elrond." Strider says

"Did you hear that? Rivendell! We're going to see the Elves." Sam says

The group follows Strider as he leads them through a clearing atop a hill, then into a wooded area. Strider looks around then turns around and sees the Hobbits stood around Bill, unloading pots and pans.

"My friends, we do not stop until nightfall." Strider says

"What about breakfast?!" Pippin asks

"You've already had it." Strider says

"We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?" Pippin asks

Strider stares at Pippin for a while, then turns back around and walks past some trees.

"Don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip." Merry says

"What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?" Pippin asks nervously

"I wouldn't count on it." Merry says

Suddenly, an apple flies from over a treetop into Merry's hands. Merry pats Pippin on the shoulder and pushes on. Another apple flies over and hits Pippin in the head.

"Pippin!" Merry says annoyed

The group walk through to the edge of the forest. Then, they slosh their way through a messy bog, brushing bugs away from their faces. Luna, Toothless, and the dragons shake their heads, trying to keep the bugs away from them and their riders.

"What do they eat when they can't get Hobbit?" Merry asks

(Later that night)

Strider carries a deer over his shoulder, laying it before the group after nightfall as they made camp in the bog.

Later on, Strider hums indistinctly to himself, smoking, as the group sleeps.

"Who is she?" A voice asks

Strider turns his head around and saw Frodo looking at him.

"This woman you sing of." Frodo says

"'Tis the lady of Luthien, the Elf-maiden who gave her love to Beren, a mortal." Strider says turning away

"What happened to her?" Frodo asks

"She died." Strider says solemnly

Strider turns back around and looks at Frodo.

"Get some sleep, Frodo." Strider says

Frodo lays back down and heads to sleep while Strider kept watch.
