3RD PERSON

Six now remained in the Arena. Three Commanders and three Gods. The Commanders of Chaos being Crystal, Imara and Percy. The three Gods that still stood in the challenge are Hestia, Hades and Poseidon.

Everyone was shocked that some of the Commanders got knocked out. Although most of them were out of the Arena because of their own absent-minded mistakes. What also shocked almost everyone, the Soldiers being an exception, was that Zeus was not one of the last three Gods. Zeus was always thought to be the most powerful out of the Gods but now they watched as he was no longer in the competition.

A relief, for Zeus, was that the rest Gods in the game were the elder ones. His siblings and him always have been almost matched with physical power but never political or tactical. Obviously Zeus always lacked in the tactical department but he did have political power over the Gods. Though he wasn't very good at keeping order of the Gods he still had a little bit of power over them, didn't he?

The six that remained took a short break to decide their plans against the other team.

"We have to work together." Imara said in a hushed tone to her two team mates.

"What about a triple threat attack with ice, electricity and water?" Percy asked them to see what their opinions were.

"Hmm maybe..." Imara mumbled while she was thinking about it.

"What if instead of using ice we use light?" Crystal suggested shyly.

"You can manipulate water?" Imara asked Crystal.

"Percy taught me a bit." The white-haired girl nodded.

"Electricity already gives off some light." Percy pointed out.

"Then make it brighter." Crystal said dream like.

"Okay so here's the plan..." Percy started telling them what they were going to do.

On the other side of the Arena the three Gods planned.

"We should try to get Percy out first really." Hades argued to his siblings.

"Yes but Percy would be harder to get out and we could get distracted if we focused on him." Hestia explained softly.

"So we should go for the others first? How are we going to knock them out?" Poseidon asked.

"Well were going to..." Hestia started to tell them their plan.

The competition commenced again. The first to attack out of the two groups were the Gods. They all charged together, which was what Percy had predicted. Percy knew they would do this because he had told them to work more as a team when they were training. As they got closer the three Commanders got ready to put their plan into action. Ten metres away, perfect. Percy made the ground shoot up where Imara was standing. The blonde shot several feet into the air. Whilst Imara shot into the air, distracting the Gods, Crystal ran past them. Crystal stood behind them with Imara by her side and Percy stood in front of them wearing his well-known smirk upon his face. The Gods plan hadn't gone as they , well, planned. They had been positive that Imara would have been the one to be standing by herself. However the Commander had anticipated that they would guess that Imara would be the one because of the few similarities between her and their brother, Zeus.

The Gods now improvised. Hades created shadows around the Arena to prevent them from seeing very well. Although Hades had somehow given his power to his siblings for this one battle or had they always had it. This one of the mysteries in the fight.

The shadow is what all the younger players had waited for. Crystal was ready to skate. Imara shot a line electricity across the centre of the square. It was a predictable shot. One the Gods had caught and dodged easily. The bolt was heading towards Percy. Everyone watched in confusion as Percy didn't move from the upcoming attack.

The bolt was seconds away and Percy simply raised his hand to meet the electric beam. When it hit the room suddenly flashed so bright no one could see. Everyone covered their eyes at the sudden burst of brightness that put Apollo to shame.

While everyone covered Imara tackled Hades on to the sheet of ice that had been created when Crystal skated past. Hades slipped and fell on his ass outside the glowing square. The God of the Underworld tried to keep his dignity while he stood up and went to sit with the other Gods.

Now only five remained.

"You know from all the things I have learnt one of the most important things is to always have a plan B." Percy stated still smiling.

All three Commanders stood together once again. It was turn to be the first to attack this time. They charged at the God and Goddess. Hestia used a similar technique that Order had used with fire, a giant flame-thrower. Crystal slid under the small gap underneath it using the ice to carry her further. Imara jumped high, out of the way, which is what Hestia wanted. The Goddess had watched the Commander's fighting style. Imara was one to jump to dodge on-coming attacks she knew she couldn't block. Hestia had told her brothers this when they were thinking of how to get them out. Poseidon had caught sight of the blonde commander jumping and he sent a blast out of his trident at her.

Imara saw the attack coming but she couldn't do anything but brace herself. Unless she sent a bolt at it. Yes she knew it could make an explosion sending her out of the arena but it was the best idea she could think of.

BOOM!

The explosion sent Imara flying out of the square like she had predicted however the blast had sent Poseidon back a bit but not out of the Arena. It had also distracted Hestia from the fire she was sending to Percy, who had not moved yet.

It wa now.

The God of the Sea stood up. He had hurt his right leg which was obvious because you could see him put more weight on his other leg. His head was bleeding ichor lightly and Poseidon could taste the liquid in his mouth. Hestia now stood beside him making sure he was okay. She couldn't help her caring nature.

Percy took the opportunity to knock them both out while they stood close to the side. He created water and shot it at both of them. However Poseidon caught sight of the water and controlled it to go round him and Hestia and back at Percy. Sneakily Poseidon kept some of the water with him to heal his injuries or at least sooth them.

Percy received the water and took it around the stadium to where Crystal stood idly. She caught on what Percy was doing and she froze the water as it slid round the corner of the Arena. The white-haired girl and the sea-green eyed both skated their way round the Arena. They looked like they did this often by their skill. Not once did they slip, stumble or fall. they skated the ice behind them vanished. Poseidon and Hestia watched them turn and they kept their eyes on them at all times. Having to turn made them slightly dizzy.

Suddenly Percy turned and circled them in the other direction confusing the Gods slightly as they tried to figure out what to do. Before they could do something the two skaters shot ice at them. Hestia dodged but to no avail the ice spike followed her. The Goddess kept dodging. Poseidon tried to control the ice but could only slow them down. Soon Hestia just melted the ice with fire. Poseidon destroyed them in the end but it took him minutes.

In this time Percy and Crystal had stopped skating and were ready to fight them once they were tired out by the following ice. Percy was going to fight Hestia and Crystal was going to fight Poseidon. They knew this would work out better because Crystal's ice wouldn't be anything against Hestia's fire. It was also because Poseidon would have a hard time with ice. Even though he had been trained in the area he wasn't the best but of course he only had a few days.

After the two Gods saw the Commanders armed and ready to fight they soon brought out their own. Poseidon had his trident. Crystal had her two knives. Hestia didn't get any weapon out but Percy knew better she had some tricks up her sleeve. Percy on the other hand held the black sword that could transform into two swords if he wanted.

Percy and Hestia ran at each other ready to fight. Hestia set her hands on fire. The flames crawled up her arms in a burst. She sent a few balls of fire at the demi-god but he simply dodged or hit them with his sword which made them disperse, disappear or avoid Percy. Perseus swung his sword but it was met with a dagger that belonged to the person in front of him.

Most of Percy's and Hestia's attacks met the others defences but a few did hit them. Percy had a slice down his cheek ,which was bleeding, and a cut on his upper-arm. Hestia had a wound near her ribs which wasn't fatal but it still hurt. She also had a gash on her chin which didn't her that much compared to the injury on her ribs.

They kept on fighting but Hestia was getting more and more tired with each hit by either of them. She knew Percy could tell and he was throwing more attacks at her with more complexities. Soon she would be out. Hestia came to terms with this.

Percy disarmed the Goddess and held his sword to her chest. The magic around the Arena made Hestia disappear out of the battle. She reappeared next to the Gods who had been out for a while now.

Crystal and Poseidon were evenly matched skilfully. Crystal may be that gentle, shy girl but she could fight better than most of the Commanders put together. She would be as good as Percy if she learnt the other elements and powers that he had. This confused many on why she was only the Commander of sector 8. However Crystal wasn't always confident with talking being a leader. That was one thing she needed to work on and maybe she would be higher up.

The battle between the God and the ex-princess wasn't too eventful they would just strike and it was met with the blade of the opponent. Poseidon finally sent a final hit to the girl. A blast from his trident sent her flying out of the square. Crystal just stood and smiled then walked off to sit near her fellow Commanders.

Two now stood in the Arena.

The final fight.

The Demigod of the sea and the God of the sea now faced each other. Determination in the eyes of both.

Percy was the first to attack with a swipe to his side. Poseidon dodged the attack as he did the next. He then blocked. Percy played offence while Poseidon the opposite.

Percy was getting frustrated with him. The Commander of sector one wanted the God to attack.

Poseidon knew he had to attack but how could he attack his son? They had trained before he had ran away and he fought back then, it was different this time. He didn't want to hurt Percy anymore than he already has even though last time he hurt him mentally and emotionally. Poseidon could not bare to hurt his son physically as well.

Percy's advances became harder for Poseidon to dodge and block. The forever 18 year old used the the Earth to stop his father from moving, keeping him in one spot. Poseidon couldn't move but he could still block it was the best thing he could do right now.

Percy easily disarmed Poseidon in the next minutes. The Commander held the trident to Poseidon's throat. The square changed colours and disappeared telling everyone it was over. Everyone was silent as Percy didn't move the weapon from the throat of the God.

"Next time don't be afraid to fight me. I have suspicions that your son is working with the enemy and if you cannot attack me then I doubt you could kill him." Percy said coldly.

He handed the trident back to it's owner and then walked back to the Commanders. Poseidon was still slightly shocked. Percy was halfway to the Sector Leaders when Poseidon asked him a question.

"H-How do you know he has joined the enemy?"

"Isn't it obvious? He hasn't been at camp for weeks now, he craves power and on the information I recovered from their base it said General Z. I don't think it's a coincidence." Percy informed him.

With that they all left to do Zeus now what for the rest of the day. Most people just relaxed for a bit since they had been training for a long time everyday so far. If this is how the Army trains everyday the camp didn't know how they were still standing as if it was just a warm-up.

Annabeth POV

I lay in bed thinking. It was 8pm. It was still considerably early but knowing that a war was happening the next day made me want to get extra sleep so I would have more energy. Also having hard training was very tiring. However there were many things on my mind.

I thought of Zack. I knew Zack was in a way evil but I would have never thought he would go this deep. Joining Order?! I suspected that he was up to something. It really is just hard to believe that he would betray the Gods.

My mind wandered to Percy again. He always seemed to pop into mind more than ever now that he was so near to me yet so distant. I wanted to actually have a conversation with him. I haven't talked to him properly. This bothered me but it bothered everyone that he didn't talk to us. There was so much more to him now that no one knew about, not even the Commanders. The way they stared at the burn scar obviously meant they wanted to know what had happened. The scars. There were loads of them more than what the whole camp had put together.

The battle would happen tomorrow. Tomorrow this might be all over if it went well. Then again Order said he was sending people rather than coming himself. That would mean that he wasn't going to be here. This wouldn't be the last battle. I didn't know when the last battle would be but when it was all over Percy would be gone again.

3RD POV -SKIP TO NEXT DAY.

The weather was horrible. It was as if it knew that today was a bad day for the camp. Although it was usually sunny and happy it know lay grey clouded and dreary. Fog hung over the sea and the forest.

Everyone was up and wearing their armour waiting for them to arrive. Most had gone to sleep early getting a good nights sleep. No one in the camp could sit still. Chaos' Army seemed much calmer and cooler. Well what could you expect from people who had been doing this over centuries. Percy was staring at nothing as the rest talked. He was distracted by his own thoughts as if his head was matching the weather, cloudy. The Gods arrived early that morning when only a few of the Commanders were awake.

As they all sat at tables talking and shifting in their seats nervously Percy couldn't help but sense something. Something was off. He stood and everyone went silent. They too knew Percy had noticed something but what was that something.

It aerie the silence. You could've heard a pin drop. The sea-green eyed boy stalked to the edge of the forest and sea. Raising his hand thunder obediently struck him. The light flashed through the once dim places. Now lit everyone saw the people walking through the forest in their direction.

"Get ready." Was the only thing Percy told them from where he stood.

~~~#####~~~
"Are you sure you do not want to fight my Lord?" Zack asked.
"Yes I am sure if all goes to plan when we attack next he will be weak." Order said.
"Your plan did not work last time." Zack said out loud.
"Are you saying my plan will fail?!" Order was angered by the demigod.
"N-No my Lord. I meant no disrespect." Zack rushed.
" Do not underestimate me. Now leave. Go to the camp and do your job or else you will have a punishment from me." Order snapped at him.
~~~#~~#

Zack now lead a fraction of the army through the woods. He was looking forward to his job to disrupt Percy. Although if it didn't go as planned he would be in a lot of trouble. Zack had a good feeling that it would go the way Order wanted it to. The son of Poseidon couldn't help but grin this was going to be fun. They weren't going to camp to actually fight they just wanted to make Percy unstable whether it was physically or emotionally. Since physically didn't work when Order attacked him emotionally was the only option. Zack being the one who made him run away all those years ago was the best person for the job he has many secrets on what he did to his half-brother.

~~##~~

Camp watched the Army make a front line at the forests edge. One person stepped forward, the General. The green eye boy ,who once used to live at the camp, was in charge of the people behind him.

"Well, well brother it seems we meet again." Zack said menacingly.

"I always knew you were crazy but to join someone who wants to destroy your family is mad. You do realise he is just using you ,don't you? Your just another pawn in his game of chess." Percy responded.

Zack laughed at Percy's statement.

"Oh I wouldn't be so sure about that brother" He spat.

Percy just sent him glares. The Camp, Gods and Soldiers stood behind Percy as he tried to talk some sense into his so called brother. Poseidon watched with interest and sadness.

"And why is that?" Percy inquired.

Zack just held his hand out and the same white energy that Order used glowed above his palm.

"You see this. I am more powerful than you. Order made me his heir so he won't replace me anytime soon. Also there was a prediction years ago that a son of the sea would become more powerful than the creator of the universe all together." Zack told him still holding the energy.

"You should remember that you only have half of the creator's blessing. Meaning you aren't stronger than Chaos." Percy pointed out.

"Tell me what will happen when Chaos is destroyed?" Zack asked rhetorically.

Percy didn't answer but everyone looked at him questioningly. The Commander sent and icy glare at Zack.

"So who should I kill first with my new powers? Maybe our father." Zack was now grinning like a maniac.

Worry was evident in Percy's eyes but he no one took notice. Zack shot the energy at Poseidon. The Sea God just watched as the white energy came closer and closer to him. It was as if the white curse hypnotised you so you wouldn't move out of the way. It was about to hit Poseidon when someone ran in front of him. Poseidon didn't realise who it was at first but then he soon saw it was Percy. Percy was ready for the pain as the white hit him but something strange happened. A blue energy surrounded the Commander.

Zack didn't know what he was meant to do now. The plan was now going downhill Percy wasn't meant to be able to do that. Worry and panic built itself in Zack. He would have to improvise. He knew he had to hit Percy hard.

The blueness around Percy disappeared and the demigod felt like he had drained half of his energy.

"Don't you dare try to hurt anyone. This fight is between us." Percy practically growled.

"I don't see why you want to protect them. Although I guess he is the only parent you have left after your Mother and Step-Father died in that fire." Zack said revealed.

Everyone looked at Percy confused. No one knew that his Parents died in a fire.

" H-how do you know they d-died in a...fire?" Percy asked.

"Because I started the fire you idiot." Zack admitted casually.

"You killed them?!" Percy yelled.

The clouds started to thunder, waves crashed against the shore, winds whipped furiously and the ground started to shake slightly.

" I did not kill them. If I remember correctly you failed to save them when you vapour travelled to the apartment." Zack pointed out.

Memories washed over Percy. He had asked Chaos to get rid of the memory but he just said memories is what makes us who we are. The emotions that he had felt when he watched them die overcame him again. Tears slid down his cheek.

The weather from before stopped and now rained softly.

"It was me who did everything to you. I found a way to take care of the Gods so they would forget about you or at least like me better than you. It wasn't that hard really. I got our Father to favour me. I framed you for everything. I also got a love potion from Aphrodite's cabin and spiked Annabeth's drink so she would fall in love with me. You fell for everything. It was all your fault that Sally Jackson died, you could have saved her but you didn't. You said all those mean things to your family when they had done nothing wrong. You accused them for things that they didn't even do. If anything it was all your fault that this happened." Zack said.

The words clouded Percy's mind. His fault. They did nothing wrong. I could have saved her. More tears fell sliding down his cheeks. The truth was too much for him. Percy fell to onto his hands and knees.

"I have spent too long here but we will be back in 2 days be prepared." Zack said and all of their army flashed out of camp.

Everyone's eyes were on the boy who once was their strong leader however instead of seeing their strong leader they saw a damaged boy who was now vulnerable.

Poseidon looked at his son. It was a shock to everyone but it must have effected him more than anyone. The Sea God walked over to his son and knelt beside him.

"Percy..." Poseidon said.

Suddenly Percy turned and hugged his Father, hugging him tightly.

"I'm s-sorry. I am so, so sorry... Dad." Percy said still crying.

"I'm sorry to, son." Poseidon whispered.

Poseidon finally got his son back. His son. He couldn't be happier than he was right now.

Hope you liked. Finally they will be a family again. I didn't make you cry did I?

Okay Reviews quickly (I am only doing short replies)

awesomekittycat (Guest?)

I am super sorry for the wait. My laptop turned itself off when I had finished it but hadn't saved it so I had to finish the ending again which was one of the hardest parts to write. I hope this was worth the wait though. Thank you for reviewing! Always love getting your reviews!

buthudska

Haha I am skipping my homework to finish this! Thanks I hope you like the rest of my story and I hope I can keep my standards as well. This chapter was worth the wait right? Keep Reading!

I am glad you liked it!

Phantom Music Lover

Sorry about the cliffhangers! They kind of come naturally to me. I do try to not put cliffhangers in but it's really hard sometimes and last time my chapter would have been over 7 thousand words if so! Haha, I hope you don't go Ares on me for keeping you waiting for so long. I love getting your reviews thank you. I will try to update faster next time but it probably won't be until Friday at the soonest.

Just Anny

Well was the fight as good as you expected it to be? (I hope it was!) Sorry for the wait. You keep being awesome too!

Looking4Misteria

Thhhannnnkkkk yooouuuuu! I might need to check how many Gods... I think I missed out Dionysus ...oops! Let just pretend he was in it... haha! Keep reading and reviewing!

Good good. The battle was easiest to write in this chapter. Thanks.

turtleswift11

Thank yooooouuuuu! I wouldn't have said my story is the best yet! It means a lot to me that you think that it really does make me feel a lot better about my story because I always read though it and think of what I could have done better! I have read a lot of Chaos stories as well! Sorry but I haven't read all of HOH I have been really busy lately with school work/clubs and then writing fanfics as well...
Keep up the reviewing haha!

Fangirl467

It's okay for not reviewing I was just confused because you usually do and I thought maybe you might have stopped reading this fic. ;) I am sorry for the 2 week wait for this chapter I have been really busy it's unbelievable! And my computer shut itself down and I hadn't saved it which was very annoying cause it was done at the weekend. But I re-wrote it tonight so it's all good for me now. I have had no time what-so-ever this week to read! So I haven't finished HOH like I should have done. I could have read the whole book in one night if I had a night to spare. Even now I'm meant to be doing my English homework which is in for tomorrow... I have read a bit of HOH and it is amazing so farrr! I have only read like 100 pages (I'm disappointed in myself). Thanks I had planned originally to do something like that but I had no idea how to fit it in until I got the huge training thing into the story. I am actually really sad that this story is ending. I have been doing this story for a few months and I have no idea how I can end it on good terms which will leave me happy as well. And I will miss all my reviewers, like you. However I still have a good few chapters left in me lets just be positive for now I guess! I do have an idea for a Guardian of the Hunt story but I'm still drabbling with that one. I might even start a whole new idea which I kind of have right now but I'm not telling you yet. I love reading reviews from you! Haha Yeah I missed you your reviews are one of my favourites if I'm being honest! I said I would do short replies... oops?! Anyway keep reading!

Smelgol26

Yeah I know. If I hadn't split it into two the fight scene would have made that last chapter even longer and it was one of my longest yet!

ShyReader842

Thanks! Sorry I didn't update sooner I do feel bad for not updating faster!

awesomekittycat (again?)

I am really confused on why one of your reviews was in a guest mode but whatever! Thanks! Yeah I didn't like the short sentences in this one.. It should have longer sentences in this one... It's just because we have been working on short sentences at school lately. It shall be out of my system soon. Thank you please tell me what you think I can improve on on the other stories because that will come on handy. Sorry about not updating soon... :)

That's all of the reviews! They seemed to get longer at the end? I don't know it's been a long day! Oh God only a few chapters until my story comes to an end :'( I really don't know how I am going to end this.

Anyway I am really sorry for the wait! Has anyone noticed that my chapter are becoming bigger?! No, no-one? Heehee I'm kidding!

I will try to update soon! Probably Friday earliest and we'll say Sunday latest ... maybe...

But it will be harder to write often because I'M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE is on and it is like my favourite show ever!

Anyway I haven't done my homework which is in first thing tomorrow... Wish me luck you guys I have a horrible English teacher...

Bye (G'NIGHT to my fellow Brits) ...
